Grow with ALDI is a supplier development programme that wants to hear from small to medium-sized businesses and help them build their brand, and this year, Roz Purcell is helping to search for entrepreneurs that would love to see their products stocked in ALDI.

ALDI knows how hard it is to get a business up and running so this programme has been set up to help businesses take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey. 

ALDI are working in conjunction with Bord Bia for this mentor scheme and are planning on finding Irish artisan producers that would like to share their products in ALDI stores nationwide.

This programme is now in its sixth year and is looking for applicants from food and non-food categories to submit their product for consideration from January 3rd to January 30th. So if you’re interested in applying, you better get moving before application dates closes!

The products will be assessed by a judging panel and the lucky successful applicants will have their products launched in all 155 ALDI stores nationwide in May as part of the popular Grow with ALDI Specialbuy promotion. 

The winners will also be offered further development opportunities with ALDI. This includes valuable mentoring and the opportunity to participate in a number of workshops in topics like buying process, supply chain management and social media marketing. There will also be a number of one-on-one sessions with the ALDI Buying team, the ALDI marketing team and experts from Bord Bia. 

Since Grow with ALDI started, over 230 producers have taken part in the scheme and have produced numerous success stories as their businesses continue to grow. 

Just one of these success stories is from Matthew Collins of The Sibly Food Co. in Co.Cork. Matthew started making energy balls for his friends and classmates in college, and after booming business at a Christmas market which led to receiving hundreds of orders a week, he created a loyal Cork and Kerry customer base. 

Matthew was one of the lucky producers to be selected to take part in Grow with ALDI last year and saw his products stocked on shelves nationwide. He was then selected as one of five winners for Grow with ALDI 2022 and awarded a core contract. 

Irish entrepreneur and best-selling author and founder of the Hike Life, Roz Purcell shared her thoughts on the wonderful campaign, revealing, “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with ALDI for this year’s Grow with ALDI campaign”,

“The Grow with ALDI programme represents values that are dear to my heart- quality Irish produce, supporting local and entrepreneurship! I am so looking forward to meeting the finalists later this year and seeing their products hit shelves in ALDI stores nationwide!”.

Last year alone, 43 products from 24 suppliers went on sale as part of the Grow with ALDI Specialbuys events. Five of these producers were selected to have their products stocked in ALDI stores nationwide and secured a core or seasonal contract. They were Cully’s Bakery from Co.Cavan, The Sibly Food Co. from Co.Cork, Hanley’s Puddings from Co.Cork, Vale & Acre from Co.Tipperary and Builín Blasta Co.Galway

Maurizio Benenato has been opening up about his departure from Dancing With The Stars.

The professional dancer shocked fans of the show on Sunday when he revealed that he had to unexpectedly bow out of the competition.

Since his announcement, the 31-year-old has been speaking to The Irish Sun and has gone into more detail about his decision to leave DWTS. 

“I want people to know it’s really painful. This has been the worst time of my life,” Maurizio admitted from his home in Italy.

“I don’t deserve this problem, I don’t deserve to be dealing with it. It is a terrible thing to have to leave the show like this,” he continued. “I was trying and trying to find a solution to a problem I had in Italy and I had to leave.

Maurizio then went on to add that he will not be disclosing the exact reason behind his surprise departure, but that it was not an easy decision for him to make. “It’s a private problem, I don’t want to talk about, I had to resolve and the reason I had to leave the show very quickly,” he stated.

“When you have such a big private problem at home you have to go back,” he said. However, Maurizio confirmed that if he is able to, he will gladly return to Ireland in the future to rejoin the Dancing With The Stars cast. 

Maurizio also expressed guilt over having to leave behind his partner in the show, former Euorvision hopeful Brooke Scullion. “It’s not nice for her. When I got the news from Italy, the production took care of me getting flights and I’m sure they are taking care of Brooke as well,” he insisted.

Brooke has since gained a new partner in the form of dancer Robert Rowinski, and the pair managed to top the leaderboard with 26 points during Sunday night’s show. However, Maurizio relayed that both he and Brooke are upset that their partnership has been cut short. 

“I know she is devastated as well, I am so grateful to the people on the show,” he noted. “Myself and Brooke were doing so well. But the last thing I am thinking about now is the show.”

The Inspector of Mental Health Services, Dr Susan Finnerty, authored a report on the provision of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and found many children had been ‘lost’ in the system. 

The report was published by the Mental Health Commission (CMO) and revealed that many children and young adults did not have follow-up appointments via CAMHS for up to two years, even though they were supposed to be monitored. Children and adolescents that should’ve had their medications reviewed also were not given follow-up appointments. 

Other issues found after the report was carried out includes long waiting lists, antipsychotic medication not being reviewed and therefore given without appropriate testing, poor management and governance, little organisation and overworked staff within the CAMHS system.

Dr Finnerty produced the interim report because of “the serious concerns and consequent risk for some patients”.

The review has been completed in five out of the nine Community Healthcare Organisations (CHO) and in just one of these CHO’s, there were 140 ‘lost’ cases within the CAMHS team.

The analysis found that 4% of children were waiting over 12 months for an assessment appointment and 28% were waiting for more than 3 months.

Some young people didn’t receive advice on their medication, while others were not called for appointments to review their prescriptions.

The report found “evidence that some teams were not monitoring antipsychotic medication, in accordance with international standards (there are no national standards)”.

This meant that “some children were taking medication without appropriate blood tests and physical monitoring that is essential when on this medication”.

When some people had turned 18 years old, there was no help for the transition from child to adult services. In certain cases there was no planning, discharge or transition at all. 

Dr Finnerty has asked for “urgent and targeted action” to be taken in order to lessen these risks.

Dani Dyer has a lot to celebrate!

The former Love Island winner is today marking her son Santiago’s second birthday.

Taking to Instagram earlier this morning, Dani shared a gorgeous set of photos from Santiago’s first morning as a two-year-old, as well as a collection of snaps and videos from his soft-play birthday party that was thrown over the weekend.

“My baby boy is 2,” the 26-year-old mum exclaimed in the caption of her post.

“Happy birthday to my cheeky, funny, handsome little boy.. the time has flown and I am so glad I am your mummy..”, Dani continued to gush.

“You make me so happy Sants you taught me how to be a mummy and you are my absolute world..,” she lovingly added further. “words will never explain how much I love you.. can’t wait to celebrate your special day and eat all the cake and chocolate.”

In the comments section of her post, Dani – who is the daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer – has received a ton of love and birthday wishes on behalf of her baby boy.

Santiago’s birthday comes after Dani announced on Friday that she is expecting twins! The fashion star made the surprise reveal with her footballer boyfriend Jarrod Bowen.

“We have been keeping a little secret… Our little TWINS,” the couple exclaimed, alongside two snaps of them cradling Dani’s growing bump, as well as an adorable image of Sanitago posing with sonograms and a sign saying ‘I’m going to be a big brother to twins’.

“So excited to meet our babies and watch Santi be the best big brother..”, the couple added. “The biggest surprise of our lives but feeling SO blessed.. our family is getting a lot bigger and we can’t wait”.

Dani and Jarrod initially went public with their relationship in December 2021. The twins will be the couple’s first children together, as Dani shares firstborn Santiago with her ex Sammy Kimmence.

Cheryl has opened up about her plans for a second child but is now unsure whether she should bring another baby into the world.

The Fight For This Love singer revealed that she was set on having a second child close in age to her five-year-old son, Bear, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Liam Payne, but has had a change of heart.

“Now that the pandemic happened in the meantime, and there's such an age gap, and I'm a bit older. I'm not so sure, honestly”.

The former X-Factor judge then went on to share that she considered adoption. “Maybe adoption. I just love babies and children and I'd do anything to help or have another one around but it's not as prevalent anymore”.

“Also in the process of the pandemic I looked around at the world and thought this world is a bit crazy. Is it a sensible idea to bring a soul into all into this madness?”.

In a previous interview, Payne revealed how co-parenting was going for the pair. “She’s the best mum in the world. I couldn’t ask for someone better. The relationship we have with each other now as friends has only grown more”.

The second image showcases Priyanka and Malti enjoying the stunning views from the Californian coast, while the third photo is a beautiful portrait of the family-of-three from a high view, as they walk along the seaside.

The stunning new family photos come just a few days after Priyanka shared the reason why she and Nick decided to become parents via surrogacy. 

“I had medical complications, so this was a necessary step, and I’m so grateful I was in a position where I could do this,” Priyanka explained to Vogue. “Our surrogate was so generous, kind, lovely and funny, and she took care of this precious gift for us for six months.”

“We spent every single day with her on my chest, on my husband’s chest,” the 40-year-old continued. “I didn’t know if she would make it or not.”

Priyanka also went into detail with Vogue about her protectiveness over her daughter, choosing not to share her face online. “I’ve developed a tough hide when people talk about me, but it’s so painful when they talk about my daughter. I’m like, ‘Keep her out of it,’”, she detailed.

“I know what it felt like to hold her little hands when they were trying to find her veins. So no, she’s not going to be gossip,” Priyanka added. “I’ve been really protective of this chapter of my life with my daughter. Because it’s not about my life only. It’s hers too.”

It has been revealed that Lisa Marie Presley became a grandmother before her passing.

Lisa Marie’s eldest daughter, Riley Keough, has shared the news that she has welcomed her first child with her husband Ben Peterson-Smith.

Speaking yesterday at a memorial service to honour Lisa Marie’s life, Ben read out a tribute that his wife had written in dedication to her mother. In her message, Riley revealed that she had secretly welcomed a baby girl into the world. 

“I hope I can love my daughter that way you loved me,” the 33-year-old wrote. “The way you love my brother and my sisters. Thank you for giving me strength, my heart, my empathy, my courage, my sense of humour,” Riley penned.

“I’m a product of your heart. My sisters are a product of your heart. My brother is a product of your heart,” Riley added, referring to her late brother Benjamin, who took his own life in July 2020 at the age of 27.

A representative for the couple later confirmed to People that Riley and Ben had welcomed their first child last year, although their daughter’s date of birth or name has yet to be revealed.

The memorial service was held at Lisa Marie’s father’s infamous Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee. Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate Lisa’s life, including the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Elvis actor Austin Butler and singer Alanis Morissette.

Lisa Marie was later laid to rest at the cemetery in Graceland, beside her late son and her father, Elvis Presley.

Molly-Mae has finally broken her silence!

The former Love Island runner-up is currently days away from welcoming her first child with her boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury.

After a few cryptic posts and periods of silence on social media, fans of the Pretty Little Thing influencer had begun to become convinced that she had given birth to her baby girl.

The 23-year-old took to the social media platform earlier today to share an angelic snap of herself cradling her baby bump, while wearing a personalised dressing robe for her tanning brand, Filter by Molly-Mae.

“I really couldn’t have asked my body to provide a better home for the first 9 months of our little girls life…”, Molly-Mae gushed in the caption of her post. 

“so blessed to say my pregnancy has been a complete and utter dream,” she added.

Fans were later surprised to learn that Molly-Mae was six months along in her pregnancy when she announced the wonderful news, and she explained that she and Tommy wanted to keep it to themselves for as long as possible.

“I set myself a goal to get to 5 months without people knowing and I really didn’t think I would get that far… but we actually went right past that point!”, the influencer revealed later in September. “It was so special having it as mine and Tommy’s secret.”

Fans are therefore convinced that when their little girl does arrive, Molly-Mae and Tommy may be eager to keep the news to themselves for a few days. Either way, we hope baby girl arrives safe and sound!

Are you a fan of The White Lotus and are in desperate need of a girls’ holiday? Check out this piece of luxury estate!

It has been revealed that Villa Tasca, the house where season 2 of the hit HBO dark comedy was based, is now available to rent on Airbnb. 

The villa originally shot to fame when it housed the likes of stars Aubrey Plaza, Theo James and Jennifer Coolidge, and now it is being opened to the public. How exciting!

The glamorous villa is located in Palermo in Italy, and the estate itself looks like something straight out of the 1500s. Even though we are already familiar with its stunning beauty from its setting in The White Lotus, we still can’t get over how beautiful it looks!

The villa itself comprises four bedrooms, with an ensuite bathroom in each of them. Outside, the land spreads across 20 acres of gardens, filled with spectacular plants and flowers. 

Inside, the villa has a magnificent double staircase that leads guests up to its main floor. The living and dining rooms are like something straight out of a museum with their high windows, grand ceilings and endless works of Italian art. Even the bathrooms have marbled tiles – who doesn’t love that?

If, like us, you were glued to the second series of The White Lotus, then you will definitely recognise Villa Tasca’s fabulous swimming pool. The body of water is surrounded by impeccable gardens and flowers, and it was often the setting for several scandalous conversations in the show. 

Plus, that’s not all Villa Tasca has to offer! The estate also has lots of fun amenities, such as a music room (perfect for blasting out some karaoke), a bar (ideal for making your own White Lotus-themed cocktails) and it even has its own staff members. 

Granted, a stay in Villa Tasca is by no means cheap – the villa is only available to book for a minimum of three nights, with each night costing around €5,500. One can dream though, right?

Joe Swash is turning 41 years old today and his loved ones have started his special day off with a surprise. 

Stacey Solomon and their son Rex decided to organise a sweet breakfast treat for Joe that comprised of a McDonald’s McMuffin and hash browns- yum!

Stacey shared a cute clip of her and their three-year-old surprising Joe and singing Happy Birthday to him while he looked delighted at the thoughtful gesture.

Swash gleefully watched Rex as he sang to him, before giving him a big cuddle and a kiss after he blew out the candle that Stacey placed in the McMuffin.

The Tap to Tidy author told her 5.5M Instagram followers how she managed to pull-off  the surprise on her Stories this morning. 

“Me and Rex got up before everyone this morning so we snuck out to get Daddy a birthday McMuffin. Then they all woke up when they smelt McDonald's”.

“Happy Birthday Joe, to the moon and back always”.

The 33-year-old added, “Rexy’s bed head and willpower to not blow out the candle melt my heart”.

Solomon then shared a pregnancy update as fans were speculating that she may have already gone into labour as she hadn’t been posting online as often as she usually would. 

She explained, “Sorry, I'm very much still full-term pregnant. I just really wanted to try and make it to a couple of days before Baby comes”.

“I know I can't control it but my midwife was like, ‘Look, if you even want the chance of getting to those days, calm the hell down and don't do anything silly'. So I've been trying to rest and I made it till today”, she said excitedly.

The happy couple announced they were expecting their fifth child at the end of December, describing it as, " A HUGE surprise, but one that we are so thankful for".
