Billie Faiers has shared her birth story from when she welcomed her third child, Margot, into the world.

The former The Only Way is Essex star welcomed Margot into the world on December 2, and spoke on her podcast with her sister, The Sam & Billie Show, about how her labour went.

Billie revealed she had just sent a photo to Sam and her mum of her baby bump when, “I was pottering around in my dressing room just putting some more things in the baby bag and then all of a sudden I lent over and I felt a big gush, basically my waters had broke”.

“I couldn't believe it. I couldn't believe finally something was happening. Obviously I was early, I wasn't overdue or anything, I just felt ready”.

“I WhatsApp called Samantha and Mum straight away so we were on a three-way call and I was like, ‘My waters have just broken’”.

The 33-year-old continued her story by explaining how she wanted to get as close to giving birth as she could at home before heading into the labour ward. “My plan was to stay at home for as long as I could before going into hospital because I was no longer doing a home birth”.

Billie’s mum and sister then came over for the night, expecting the baby to be born that evening or early the next morning, but there were no signs of Margot for another day.

The mum-of-three then had to go into hospital to be induced as her waters had been broken for over 24 hours, meaning she could be more prone to getting an infection.

“Not everything goes to plan obviously but I was gutted because I knew being induced meant I couldn't go in the birthing pool and I actually really wanted to try for a waterbirth this time”.

After two days of no sleep and no contractions starting, Billie was given a pessary to no avail so she was then put on an oxytocin drip which made her contractions start quickly. “It literally went from zero to 100”, Billie revealed as she started contracting strongly.

“Margot’s head was there… but my cervix wasn't open so it wasn't dilated”, Billie added before sharing that Sam couldn’t stay in the room while she gave birth and ended up on the motorway home when their mum called to say Margot was on the way.

Luckily, Sam was on FaceTime when her new niece made her arrival into the world.

After three days of being in labour, Margot was born and as Billie didn’t find out the gender before she was born, she counted on her partner Greg to announce that they had a little girl.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, are already proud parents to eight-year-old Nelly and five-year-old Arthur.

This is a huge achievement for Paul, with it being just under three years since he found stardom as Connell in the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People.

However, Paul is not the only Irishman in the Best Actor category! Colin Farrell has also been nominated for his role in the black comedy The Banshees of Inisherin.

This is the first time in Colin’s career that he has been nominated for an Oscar, and the actor is tipped for success with a Golden Globe win and a BAFTA nomination already under his belt this year.

The Irish film is now officially the most nominated Irish production in Oscars history, knocking Kenneth Brannagh’s Belfast off the top spot. The Banshees of Inisherin has joined nine categories overall at this year’s Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for both Brendan Gleeson and Barry Keoghan, and Best Supporting Actress for Kerry Condon.

The movie, which was filmed across many Irish locations including Achill Island, has already enjoyed great success during this year's ongoing awards season, and the cast and crew are hoping to add a Oscars win to their achievements.

Colm Bairéad’s moving film The Quiet Girl (An Cailín Ciúin) has earned a nomination for Best International Feature Film.

In terms of overall nominations, Everything Everywhere All At Once leads the way with 11 recognitions across the categories.

The 95th Academy Awards will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel, and the star-studded ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on March 12.

Best of luck to all the nominees!

The royal family is growing once again!

Princess Eugenie has announced that she is expecting her second child with her husband Jack Brooksbank. The pair are already parents to a one-year-old son named August.

Eugenie, who is eleventh in line to the throne and is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, took to Instagram earlier this afternoon to share the wonderful news.

The princess posted an adorable image of August kissing his mother’s growing baby bump. The sweet snap was captured by her husband Jack.

“We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer,” the 32-year-old royal gushed.

In a statement issued by Buckingham Palace, the royals said: “Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer.”

“The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother,” the palace added.

Eugenie and Jack have yet to reveal whether or not they are expecting a boy or a girl.

The pair first entered into a relationship in 2010, after meeting at a ski resort in Switzerland.

After eight years of dating and a spell of long-distance, the couple finally tied the knot in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Eugenie and Jack welcomed their firstborn, August, into the world in February 2021, at the Portland Hospital in London. At the time, the new parents broke with royal tradition by sharing a black-and-white snap of the little one’s hand on social media, shortly after his birth.

Congratulations to Eugenie and Jack!

Today marks the third year anniversary of the deaths of Andrew McGinley's three children- nine-year-old Conor, seven-year-old Darragh and three-year-old Carla.

Andrew’s children were killed by their mum, Deirdre Morley, in their family home in January 2020. She was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity and has been treated in hospital ever since.

Earlier this morning, Andrew shared a statement asking for mental health laws and policies to be changed in the country and appealed to the HSE amongst other mental health services to ‘do something’. McGinley wants the rules to change so no more families have to suffer a tragic loss like he did.

Alongside a photo of himself with his three little ones, Andrew wrote, “It’s been 3 years since Conor, Darragh and Carla died. 3 years and no changes have been made to Mental Health Law, policies or procedures from the lessons that should have been learned from their deaths”.

“As much as I’m filled with love every day for Conor, Darragh and Carla, today I’ve woken up angry that no changes have been made to prevent similar tragedies”.

McGinley went on to discuss the tragic and shocking statistics of children who have passed away at the hands of a parent who was being treated for mental health issues.

“Since the year 2000, close to 60 children have had their lives taken by a parent who had been treated for their mental health”.

“One child should have been one too many. Change could be made today”, he added.

Since Andrew’s children’s heartbreaking deaths, he has set up projects in their legacies- Conor’s Clips, As Darragh Did and Snowman for Carla.

Kimberly Wyatt has opened up about her labour story and revealed she was ‘gutted’ she had to have a C-section.

The Pussycat Dolls band member is mum to three children- seven-year-old Willow, five-year-old Maple and three-year-old Senna. She welcomed all of her children into the world via C-section.

While speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Kimberly shared her honest experience with having to have caesareans which she hadn’t planned for during her first two labours, only her last one.

As she was speaking about being pregnant with her first child and not knowing much information about birth apart from what she saw in movies, the 40-year-old explained, “It wasn't until I became pregnant that I started reading about hypnobirthing and all these different styles of going through it”.

“When I had to do the caesarean I was gutted. I felt like that moment and that feeling was taken away from me”.

The mum-of-three continued, “Of course, get over it, ultimately you want to have safe mum, safe baby but I do feel like it's incredibly fascinating what our bodies do”.

Kimberly then added that it took her a while to process that she would have to have a C-section, “Yeah I was really gutted about that”.

“It almost feels like a right of passage as a woman to be able to do that and when you no longer have that choice it takes some time to get your head around that”.

The Buttons singer agreed with Giovanna that there are often negative feelings and judgements towards caesareans that are unnecessary.

“Everybody’s got their own journey. That’s one thing I learnt a lot through having three kids is that the headspace of the mum is so important, almost more important than everything because we have to provide all of those vital things for that baby”.

Kimberly and her husband Max Rogers tied the knot in a private ceremony in February 2014 and went on to have their first daughter in December of that year. They then welcomed Maple into the world in 2017 and Senna in 2019, before Kimberly decided to have her tubes tied.

Rita Simons has been undergoing huge changes regarding her health.

The former EastEnders star recently underwent a hysterectomy, in order to help combat relentless premenstrual emotions that she had been experiencing for years. Rita received a total radical hysterectomy, meaning that her womb, cervix and both ovaries were removed.

However, she has admitted that choosing to have surgery was an upsetting one, as she knew that it would mean that she would not be able to get pregnant again.

The 45-year-old already shares two daughters – 16-year-old twins Jaimee and Maiya – with her ex husband Theo Silveston, and had previously swore that she did not want any more kids.

Ultimately, it was when Rita began to date her partner Ben Harlow in 2020 that she realised that by having the hysterectomy, she would be giving up the possibility of getting pregnant again.

“It’s a really strange thing because you don’t think you’d be that bothered until you’re in that situation, and then suddenly you’re like, ‘What if I do want kids in five years?’”, Rita noted in an interview with OK!.

“As a woman, we often take for granted that you can get pregnant and then when you are not able to and the choice is taken away…”, the actress pondered further.

Rita – who is best known for playing Roxy Mitchell in the BBC soap – noted that her premenstrual emotions began to escalate to the point where it was affecting her work. “I was in panto and I got to the point where I was telling my agent not to book me on dates where I knew I’d be on my period, because it was so difficult to work,” she admitted.

“It was debilitating and I knew I couldn’t go through that every month," she added.

Although the surgery has been a lot for Rita to wrap her head around, she doesn’t regret it. “Health comes first,” she stated. “I feel like it’s all been an attack on my femininity but my good mental health is good for my kids, it’s good for Ben. They have felt my wrath when I’m premenstrual and they don’t deserve it.”

Well done to Rita for putting her health first!
