Nicola Thorp has been spilling all the details about her engagement! 

The former Coronation Street actress announced on Sunday that she is now engaged to be married to her partner, actor Nikesh Patel. 

The actress, who is best known for playing Nicola Rubinstein in the ITV soap, has kept the finer details of the romantic moment to herself since announcing the news.

However, earlier today, Nicola appeared on The Jeremy Vine Show and decided to share lots of beautiful details about the moment Nikesh got down on one knee!

Firstly, the 34-year-old confirmed that the proposal was a complete surprise to her. “'The moment was unusual because I wasn't expecting it, I thought he'd ask me questions about ring sizes or what kind of ring I want and he hadn't. He blindfolded me,” she explained with a smile. 

“I thought we were having a date night, I thought he was setting up an escape room… he knows I love that sort of thing,” Nicola added.

The fiancée then went on to detail the exact moment Nikesh’s proposal was revealed to her. “I took the blindfold off and there was candles everywhere and he was in a tuxedo and there was photos everywhere about us and a little nod to my grandmother who had passed away. I was in tears,” she gushed.

In the interview, Nicola couldn’t help but beam about her joyful news. “We're very, very happy. This is my fiancé, I'm getting used to saying that still!”, she joked.

She also praised Nikesh’s choice of jewellery, which is a stunning emerald stone in a teardrop shape. “It's a good ring,” she remarked.

Nicola and Starstruck actor Nikesh have been together for two years. The pair first made their relationship public in October 2021, in celebration of Nicola’s birthday.

Aire is celebrating his very first birthday!

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott’s youngest child and only son, Aire, turns one today and his grandmother Kris has shared a sweet message for him. 

Sharing a cute photo of herself and Aire looking out of a window, Kris described the tot as sweet and cute.

Jenner continued, “You bring so much love and joy to our family and we adore you!!!! What a little cutie I can’t believe you are 1!!!!! I love you with all my heart forever and ever”, before signing off as Lovey, a nickname for her grandchildren to call her. 

Many fans of the ‘Momager’ headed to the comments to wish Aire a happy birthday, with many surprised he is already turning one. 

“Can we just talk about how hard she LOVE her family! She’s truly a great mom & grandmother”, wrote one fan.

A second joked, “Swear he was just born yesterday”, while a third added, “Happy birthday to your grandson. Grandchildren are a blessing”.

Kylie announced her son’s name was Aire just last month and shared photos of him that show his face for the first time.

The 25-year-old originally named the little one Wolf, but then told her fans that she and Travis changed his name. 

“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore. We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere”, she explained.

Just yesterday the Jenner-Kardashian family were celebrating Kylie and Travis’ daughter Stormi’s 5th birthday with an extravagant unicorn-themed party.

Former star of The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, Sarah Herron, has announced the heartbreaking loss of her baby boy. 

Sarah revealed that she gave birth to the tot at 24 weeks but he sadly passed away shortly after he was born.

Herron penned, “On January 28th, at 24 weeks old, our beautiful son Oliver Brown was born. He passed away in his dad’s arms shortly after. There are no words for the magnitude of loss and pain we’re experiencing”.

“It’s beautiful and simultaneously tragic. He had my nose and his dad’s mouth and long fingers”.

Sarah continued, “Our time together was short, but we are grateful for the days we had with Oliver in my belly. He has taught us so much about the integrity of life, love and death. Oliver filled our home and hearts with so much love and most importantly, optimism”.

“The stars aligned to create Baby Oliver with a deep, meaningful purpose bigger than we’ll ever understand. His body was small, but his legacy will always be larger than life to us”.

The former reality TV star went on to describe memorable moments from her pregnancy. “Oliver swam with sea turtles, he kept me company while I recovered from a broken knee, and he loved his dad’s cooking. “While our hearts are shattered beyond comprehension, we are comforted knowing that our son’s soul only ever knew love and will not suffer in a body that wasn’t built for this life. We’ll never understand the cruelty of it all, but through the darkness, Oliver remains so so bright”.

The 36-year-old added, “We love you so much, baby boy. You will never be replaced. You are so perfect and awesome. Love, Mommy and Daddy”.

Sarah and her partner Dylan got engaged in May 2021 and announced they were expecting their son last September, revealing, “Our embryo transfer was a success and I am pregnant with our baby boy”.

Our thoughts are with Sarah and Dylan at this difficult time.

A missing person appeal has been issued for a 17-year-old teenager.

Gardaí are appealing for help from the public to locate the whereabouts of 17-year-old Mohammed Abdikani.

Mohammed has been missing from his home in Rathmines, Dublin 6 since Monday morning, January 30.

In terms of features, Mohammed has been described by his loved ones as being approximately 5’ 10” in height, of a slim build and with black hair.

Gardaí are concerned for Mohammed’s safety and his loved ones are wishing for his safe return soon.

If anyone has any information on Mohammed’s whereabouts, they are being asked to contact Rathmines Garda Station on 01 666 6700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

Kylie Jenner has been celebrating her daughter Stormi turning five in style. 

The mum-of-two went all out for her daughter’s fifth birthday and shared glimpses of the special day on social media. 

Sharing a collection of videos and photos to her 380M Instagram followers, Stormi’s unicorn-themed party looked like a roaring success. 

Decorations included a multitude of different coloured balloon arches, unicorn balloons and glitter walls.

The showstopper of the event was the inflatable tunnel in the shape of Stormi’s head, which guests had to walk through the mouth to enter the party. 

There was also a giant bouncy castle slide also in the shape of the five-year-old’s head. 

Jenner shared pictures of clothes merch that was available at the party with Stormi’s name on it as well as her little brother Aire.

From t-shirts that read ‘Stormi five is live’, ‘Aire to the throne’, and ‘1,825 days, 60 months, 260 weeks, 43,800 hours, 1,263,000 minutes, 157,680,000 seconds of sunshine’, to hoodies that have a cartoon picture of Stormi and Aire that say, ‘It takes two’, the personalised clothes were adorable.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder wore a t-shirt with her children printed on it during the celebration. 

Kylie’s sister Khloe Kardashian shared clips from the day too, revealing Stormi’s gorgeous birthday cake had pastel flowers decorated on it.

Aunt Khlo was there with her daughter True, showing her making slime and painting a miniature statue of a unicorn. There was a pinata for the little ones to play with too and enjoy some sweet treats.

When paying tribute to her little girl online, Kylie shared a carousel of photos to Instagram with a sweet caption to honour her first-born.

The Love Island villa has been rocked by another dramatic dumping!

Viewers were shocked last night when glowing bombshell Zara was dumped from the villa after not being picked to be in a couple by any of the male Islanders. 

Tom, who had been coupled up with Zara but had recently called it quits with her, had the chance to save her, but he decided to couple up with Ellie instead.

Speaking in her post-exit interview, Zara confirmed that she didn’t have any regrets about taking a chance on Tom. “I went in with an open mind. Tom isn’t my usual type at all so that was new to me, but I was being open minded as I knew the experience was all about pushing myself out of my comfort zone,” she explained.

The 25-year-old went on to say that she believed that she and Tom (23) could have had a lasting relationship together. “I did think there could be potential with Tom. He’d told me he’d been in a long-term relationship, so I already knew he was capable of being committed. The age difference was a bit of a barrier for me – girls mature faster than guys,” she teased.

In the end, Zara knew that ending her relationship with Tom was the right thing for her to do. “I genuinely think me and Tom calling it a day was the best thing that we could have done because we weren’t ever actually on the same page. Like a flame, we burned quick, and it was just more physical attraction,” she detailed.

Moving away from her relationship with Tom, Zara went on to reveal who she was the closest to in the villa. “I got on with everybody, but definitely Tanya and Tanyel. They got me and really took the time to understand me,” she beamed. “Shaq too, me and him got on like a house on fire!” she noted.

Lastly, Zara was asked who she thinks will go the distance as a couple. “Jessie and Will. If either of them are prepared to travel, or move, their energies really do match up, they really get along with each other,” she shared.

Gaz Beadle has shared a joyous update on his wife, Emma, after she underwent open heart surgery and then suffered a collapsed lung. 

Gaz, known for his time on Geordie Shore, shared the worrying news last week that Emma had open heart surgery to fix three holes in her heart. Even though she was recovering well after a successful surgery, one of Emma’s lungs collapsed.

Thankfully, Beadle has now revealed that the mum-of-two is back home and will be recovering for the next few months after her time in hospital. 

The 34-year-old shared a photo of him and Emma at home to his 3.7M Instagram followers and wrote, “Going to be pjs and slippers for a while… Amazing to have you home”.

“Now time for recovery over the next few month… onwards and upwards”.

Many pals and fans of the former reality TV star headed to the comments to wish Emma a speedy recovery, including Gaz’s former Geordie Shore co-star Holly Hagan, who shared two heart emojis.

One fan penned, “Welcome home Emma , wishing you a speedy recovery. You must be so glad to be home with your babies”.

A second added, “So glad Emma is okay! Wishing you a speedy recovery but for now enjoy being waited on hand and foot by Gaz”.

“Love this and love you two xxx get well soon. Your little babies and Gary will look after their mummy”, penned a third follower.

Posting an update on how their children were coping with their mum being in hospital, Gaz explained, “This is the hardest thing our family will ever go through”.

“Kids have been so brave but also cried and been emotional wrecks at bedtimes and mornings and just missing mummy like crazy”, he added. 

Gaz and Emma share two children together- five-year-old Chester and three-year-old Primrose. The couple tied the knot in Cheshire in July 2021 surrounded by their close friends and family.

Priscilla Presley tragically lost her daughter Lisa Marie Presley last month and has now honoured her on what would’ve been her 55th birthday.

Lisa Marie passed away following cardiac arrest. Just days before, she had attended the 80th Golden Globes Awards alongside her mum Priscilla. 

Sharing a lovely collection of photos to Instagram of the pair together, Priscilla paid tribute to her late daughter.

The 77-year-old wrote, “Today would have been Lisa’s 55th birthday. My wish is to protect my three grandchildren and keep our family together”.

“From the first moment I held Lisa in my arms, I’ve protected, loved and guided her, as I have my son”.

Presley continued, “Our hearts are broken, and I am having to learn to live without my only daughter. We truly love all of you, and we feel your prayers. Thank you so much for caring so deeply for our family”.

Many followers of Priscilla headed to the comments to share their support and condolences with her. 

One fan wrote, “Happy birthday LMP Priscilla please stay strong, we are praying for you and your family”.

“Lisa will always be in our hearts. Sending love to you and your family”, penned a second follower.

A third added, “Happy Birthday to our beautiful Lisa. We will miss her forever and our thoughts are with you Cilla!”

Priscilla welcomed Lisa Marie into the world in 1968 with her husband Elvis Presley. Elvis sadly passed away when Lisa Marie was just nine years old. 

Priscilla went on to have a son, Navarone, whom she shares with Marco Garibaldi in 1987.

Lisa Marie is survived by her 33-year-old daughter Riley Keough and twins- 14-year-old Finley and Harper. The singer-songwriter was also mum to a son named Benjamin, who died by suicide in July 2020.

ALDI Ireland is rolling out a nationwide partnership with Too Good To Go, making it the first Irish supermarket to partner with the food surplus app.

Following a successful trial last year, the retailer is making surplus food bags available nationwide in a bid to tackle food waste and offer even lower prices to customers.

The surplus food bags, known as ‘Surprise Bags’, will contain a range of products that are approaching their sell-by or use-by dates at a third of the price, costing just €3.99 each to purchase.

To avail of a Surprise Bag, shoppers can download the free Too Good To Go app and search for their nearby ALDI store before reserving a bag to collect from the store at an allotted time.

ALDI has pledged to eliminate 60 tonnes of food waste from its operations in 2023 in support of the Government’s National Food Waste Prevention Roadmap. The nationwide rollout will reduce food from going to waste annually and will form a key part of ALDI’s ongoing commitment to reducing food waste.

In addition to the new partnership, all of ALDI’s 155 Irish stores will continue to donate surplus food to local causes 365 days of the year. Since 2014, the supermarket has donated more than 2.6 million meals via its successful partnership with charity partner FoodCloud, saving an equivalent of 3.2 million tonnes of CO2.

John Curtin, Group Buying Director at ALDI Ireland, comments: “Our new partnership with Too Good To Go will further enable us to cut down on food waste, while also offering customers the opportunity to pick up our food at even lower prices.  With the rising cost of living impacting so many, Too Good To Go offers a simple and accessible way for consumers to save money and reduce waste.”

Laura Whitmore has got a new gig!

It was announced earlier today that the former Love Island host will soon be presenting a brand new show.

ITV producers confirmed that Laura will be fronting the network’s new Sunday morning lifestyle show, the title of which has yet to be revealed.

The proud grandmother concluded her message with adoring praise. “We are all blessed to have you in our lives, my precious girl. I love you to the moon and back, Stormi, and I can’t wait to celebrate your special day with you! Lovey xo”.

Stormi’s mum Kylie has already shared a glimpse into the birthday celebrations that she has in store for her daughter.

On her Instagram stories last night, the 25-year-old revealed a magnificent display of multi-coloured balloons, complete with a unicorn balloon on the ceiling of Stomi’s bedroom.

“Let the rainbow unicorn birthday adventure begin,” she teased in the video.

Then, on the morning of Stormi’s birthday, Kylie shared an adorable video of herself and her daughter giggling as they walked through even more balloons in their home. “Mommy, there’s so many!”, Stormi can be heard exclaiming in the background.
