Kearney retired from rugby in 2021 and now works as a sports pundit for Virgin Media Television.

In a recent interview with RSVP, the 36-year-old spoke about his life since retiring, “I am happy. I always said you have to be patient with yourself, you're not going to transition very quickly out of that life”.

“All I ever wanted to do was play rugby then one day you're told you can't. So you have to be patient with yourself on that journey of finding new passions and new projects. But it's all good so far”.

Laura Anderson has been revealing all the details about her pregnancy and her recent breakup with Gary Lucy.

The former Love Island star announced on February 15 that she is currently expecting her first child.

Since revealing the news, the 33-year-old has been keeping quiet on the finer details of her pregnancy so far. However, she has now decided to open up!

Taking to her Instagram stories last night, Laura posted a Q&A box to her 1.5M followers and invited them to ask her questions.

As part of one of her first responses, the reality star confirmed that she is now 14 weeks into her pregnancy, but that she never planned on announcing it so soon. “I wasn’t actually ready to share my pregnancy if I’m honest, but somebody leaked it to the press when I was 8 weeks,” Laura admitted.

The expectant mum then teased that she already knows the sex of her baby. “I did an 8 week DNA test,” she revealed. “I definitely will share it with you guys, I just don’t know when or how at the minute.”

She also jokingly added that she has had a few near-misses when it comes to sharing her baby’s gender. “I keep slipping up so I need to be careful!”

Laura then went on to speak openly about her former relationship with actor Gary Lucy, who she first met on the reality show Celebs Go Dating. The 41-year-old was included in the video of Laura’s pregnancy announcement, but he then subsequently shared that their relationship had ended.

Before confirming that her pregnancy was “planned and worked first time”, Laura went on to speak openly about the idea of being a single mum.

“I think I’ve always seen myself as having children. I didn’t really expect to be a single mum. I’ve always wanted that family unit, but it’s 2023, things happen in life,” she pondered.

Following on from that, Laura was then asked if she is on good terms with Gary. “Definitely not,” she responded without hesitation.

Lastly, Laura noted that she is looking forward to her baby being around Gary’s four older children. “Me and Gary’s ex-wife Natasha have already spoken about this, and we’re already excited for them to be half brother and sister,” she beamed.

Like most people, you probably know what it's like to have a bad hair day. It can make you feel self-conscious and annoyed. But there are a few things that you can do to help avoid these bad hair days, or improve on them when it happens.

Get to know your hair type

Different hair types have different needs, so to make the most of your hair, you should get to know your hair better. Overall, we speak of four different types in relation to texture: straight, wavy and curly. Additionally, there are three types when it comes to structure: fine, medium, and coarse.

Once you are aware of your hair type, you can take even better care of it because you can learn more about its needs. For example, curly hair tends to be more dry and frizzy, which is why it is extremely important to use conditioner and keep your hair moisturised.

Remember to get your hair trimmed

To avoid bad hair days, you should also remember to pay your hairdresser a visit once in a while. Actually, regular trims can help you maintain your hair’s health and shine as you get rid of dry, brittle, and split ends. These split ends can move up the hair if you simply let it be, which will cause even more breakage. They can make your hair look frizzy, and you cannot get rid of them any other way than by cutting them off.

Use the right styling products for your hair

Good styling products are a great way to turn a bad hair day into a good one. A gel, paste, wax, or spray can help you control, tame, and style your locks so that your hair continues to look nice throughout the day.

Many styling products can strain and dehydrate your hair strands, but if you choose natural hair styling products, you can make sure that you boost your locks with natural and healthy constituents. That way, you can style your hair any way you want without compromising its healthy state.

Deeply cleanse your hair with a good shampoo

When you use styling products, it is important to thoroughly wash out residue so it does not build up in your hair. Therefore, you should choose a deep-cleansing shampoo that gently washes your hair and scalp and leaves it hydrated and lustrous.

This residue can leave your hair feeling dull and thin. It can also weigh down your locks and cause them to dry out. As a result, the strands will be more prone to breakage and overall thinning. However, your hair will have much better days with the right nutrition.

Updating your wardrobe will help you switch your look if you're ready for a change. There are many ways to instantly update your outfit, whether you're seeking current trends or vintage items to mix and match the perfect look. With a few easy moves, you can update your existing wardrobe and give yourself an effortlessly chic new look without breaking the bank. Here are a few great ways to update your wardrobe:

Shop Sustainably

When shopping for new clothes, it is essential to consider the environmental impact of your purchases. To be sustainable, you should choose clothing made from recycled materials or organic fibres like hemp and cotton. As a result of their longer lifespans compared to their counterparts, these items will produce less waste and promote a circular economy.

By investing sustainably, you will be helping the environment and supporting ethical companies. Plus, you'll look great in your new wardrobe. It also saves you money in the long run as these garments are designed to last for many seasons.

Grab the Timeless Classics

The key to a great wardrobe is timeless pieces you can mix and match. Invest in timeless essentials like blazers, button-down shirts, jeans, pants, skirts, and dresses. These versatile pieces can be matched in endless ways to create an array of looks for any occasion. You may easily and quickly change your look with these pieces in your closet. Additionally, these essentials won't go out of style, allowing you to wear them year after year. Invest in durable items to get the most value for your money.

Budget Like a Boss

Switching up your wardrobe means you will need to spend quite a bit buying new clothes. You must know how much you are willing to spend on this new adventure. You should have a clear plan to guide you, so it is essential to understand your style. It is vital also to consider what you want: pre-owned, new, or investment pieces. Knowing all these will help you set aside a clear budget. You can also find branded apparel at a competitive price, which is a great way to get the look you want without spending a fortune.

Accessorise for the Season

Accessories are the best way to switch up your style and make any look more attractive. Invest in seasonal pieces like hats and sunglasses, which are great, especially for your summer choice apparel. Scarves and gloves are fabulous during cold seasons, and jewellery and bags can be used for different occasions.

To choose accessories that complement your style, consider the colours and patterns you enjoy wearing the most. By including these finishing touches, you'll appear more put-together and elegant. Less is more when it comes to accessories, so don't go overboard.

Whatever style you decide on, if you follow this advice, you'll be able to control your spending and find some great pieces. Additionally, you'll be able to put together some amazing outfits that will allow you to embrace your inner fierceness. Switching up is a great project to take up and one that is worth the reward in the end.

Kaz Crossley has been opening up about her recent ordeal.

The former Love Island star was on her way to Thailand for work when she was detained in Abu Dhabi Airport. The arrest was as a result of Kaz's ex-boyfriend leaking a video of her online, showing her taking a white substance. After a few days in custody, she was released and is now back home in England.

Although Kaz confirmed to fans last week that she was now safe from the situation, she has since come out with a video to explain what happened.

Taking to Instagram last night, the 28-year-old opened up to her 1.1M followers about her ordeal.

"Hi everyone. I wanted to do this video to speak my own truth and use my own voice about a situation that's happened to me," Kaz began.

"I feel like I owe it to my followers and I owe it to myself to get closure about this situation because it's been a good few years and I'm ready to move forward now,” she added.

The reality star then went on to confirm that the leaked video was filmed unknowingly back in 2020. “It was a time of my life where I definitely didn't love myself at all, probably. And this is reflected in what I was doing to my body and who I surrounded myself with,” she admitted.

Kaz continued by explaining that she was on her way to Thailand for a job that she was “so excited” for, when she was detained. "I was then detained in Abu Dhabi and kept in custody from Monday through to Friday, which is when they released me,” she shared.

Finally, Kaz confirmed that the Abu Dhabi authorities were eventually understanding of the situation. “I take full accountability. I don't lie. I said that that was me in the video and explained the situation, it was a long time ago,” she said.

Since sharing her story, Kaz has received a lot of supportive comments, particularly from her fellow Love Island alumni.

“I love you and knowing you these past 5years has been such a pleasure to see you grow,” Laura Anderson penned in a lengthy response.

“One mistake doesn’t define you, it’s the value you add to the world; and that’s a lot!”, commented Zara McDermott.

“You’re one of the purest souls I’ve met, you’ve got this,” added Kaz Kamwi.

Solo travelling has become increasingly popular in recent years. Taking off for a few weeks (or months) to see the world, experience new cultures and make your own memories can be such an exciting thing to do.

However, it can also be a stressful and worrying experience, especially when it comes to safety. Pick-pocketers and scammers are often rife in European cities, and while they never hesitate targeting groups of travellers, they usually prioritise going after visitors who are clearly on their own.

If you’re desperate to do a bit of solo travelling this year but you’re worried about feeling safe alone, then don’t fret! The travel experts at Looking4.com have recently combed through the depths of TikTok and researched the hottest European cities that people are most eager to visit.

From there, they have combined each city’s crime rate and discovered which destinations pass the safety test. Have a browse through these cities and see if you fancy visiting any of them:

Munich, Germany

Munich came out on top as the safest European city to visit this year. The German city scores an impressive figure of 81% for its safety, and so you should feel very secure during your time there. In terms of things to see and do, you could hang out in the beautiful English Garden, stroll through the central square of Marienplaz and treat yourself to some delicious food at the Victuals Market.

Zurich, Switzerland

With its extremely low crime rates, Switzerland is known as being one of the safest countries in the world to live in, and so it’s no wonder that the city of Zurich made it into these rankings. Zurich has a crime rate of just over 18%, making it the perfect place for your next solo trip! The city has lots of gorgeous sites to see, including beautiful historical architecture, the Swiss National Museum, and the breathtaking Lake Zurich.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague has also been discovered as one of the safest places to visit as a solo tourist. The capital of the Czech Republic has a crime rate of just below 25%, and has become incredibly popular with younger travellers in recent years. Whilst you’re there, why not take a stroll along the magical Charles Bridge, marvel at the architecture of Prague Castle, or enjoy the city centre’s charming Astronomical Clock?

Helsinki, Finland

With a safety rate of almost 75%, you’ll feel right at home in Helsinki! The Finnish capital has a super safe environment, and it has lots of things on offer to keep a solo traveller busy. See the majestic Helsinki Cathedral, wander through the shops in the renowned Design District, and sample up all of the tasty Finnish treats at the stalls in Market Square!

Most interestingly, Krakow offers a few exciting adventures for solo travellers to go on underground, including a trip to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, or the unconventional Rynek Underground Museum!

A cave might not seem like the obvious place to celebrate the launch of the latest advancement in smartphone technology, but for Samsung Ireland the epic Mitchelstown Cave in Tipperary is the perfect low-light environment to showcase its new Galaxy S23 Series. Now, thanks to its whopping 200 Megapixel adaptive sensor which captures beautiful, detailed shots with incredible precision, blurry, unrecognisable photos and videos taken at night-time are thankfully a thing of the past for S23 users.

On the evening of Tuesday, March 7th, Samsung is giving 30 lucky members of the public a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the critically acclaimed Irish act Talos perform a set of their epic songs in the most epic of environments – Mitchelstown Cave. The showstopping night is uniquely curated to give guests the perfect opportunity to experience the Galaxy S23 Series’ epic camera technology and improved Nightography capabilities. Taking photos and videos at gigs is something that every music fan loves to do, but because most smartphones fail miserably in darker spaces like caves, Samsung is providing S23 photo stations so gig-goers can capture and share the brag-worthy experience in all its glory.

The ticket giveaway will kick-off on Samsung’s Instagram channel @samsungireland on February 21st. To be in with a chance of winning 15 tickets each with a ‘plus 1’, entrants must simply follow @SamsungIreland on Instagram, like the post linked above and leave a comment tagging who they would like to share their prize with. The competition closes at midnight on 26th February and the 15 lucky winners, chosen at random, will be announced on 27th February. The prize also includes free coach transport from and back to Dublin City Centre, along with ‘grab and go’ food bags and beverages. And, to add icing to the already very delectable cake, one lucky winner will receive a brand-new Galaxy S23 Ultra of their very own!

On the night, guests will experience all that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series has to offer, with Samsung product experts on hand to guide them. When the evening comes to a close, attendees can access a wide variety of stunning content captured on Galaxy S23 Ultra so that they can share the epic moment for themselves.
