Jennifer then went on to candidly admit that both herself and Ben continue to struggle with the aftermath of their first engagement, stating: “We both have PTSD”.

In a conversation with Vogue shortly after she tied the knot with Ben last year, the Hustlers actress reflected on what led to their initial split 18 years previously.

“We were just living out loud, and it turned out to really bite us. There was a lot underneath the surface there, people not wanting us to be together, people thinking I wasn’t the right person for him,” Jennifer confessed in November 2022.

“People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real,” she added.

Dianne Buswell has been taking her father to chemotherapy treatment, after returning home to Australia.

Just hours after competing in the Strictly Come Dancing final last weekend, professional dancer Dianne flew home to Australia for Christmas with her boyfriend Joe Sugg.

The trip has become particularly meaningful for the Strictly star, after she revealed that her father Mark has been diagnosed with cancer.

Now, a few days after landing back in her native Oz, Dianne has unveiled the moment that she was able to accompany Mark to his latest round of chemotherapy treatment.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, the 34-year-old posted a heartwarming video montage of herself and her dad arriving arm-in-arm at the hospital.

The bittersweet footage then showcases Dianne sitting across from Mark as he receives his treatment.

“Round 3, proud of you dad,” the dancing star gushed in the caption of her post.

“always with a positive mind frame and smile on your face,” she added sweetly.

Following the update on her father’s heath, many of Dianne’s fellow Strictly castmates have since taken to her comments section to send their well-wishes.

“This makes me so happy to see the love you have for each other. Stay strong,” penned Neil Jones.

“Cmon mark you got this! Love you both xxxx,” replied Amy Dowden, who recently finished her own chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

In October, Dianne initially explained in a YouTube video that her father was unwell, after Strictly fans expressed concerns that she seemed ‘down’.

“Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing so I did struggle a little bit last week,” she stated at the time.

Dianne confirmed her father’s cancer diagnosis in November, when she acknowledged his first round of chemotherapy.

“I'm so proud of you dad, first round of chemotherapy today! I wish I could be there to hold your hand and support you in person,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of Mark in hospital.

Josie Gibson has shared the reason why she was rushed to hospital after leaving the Australian jungle.

Over the past few weeks, the TV presenter took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and exited the series in fourth place.

After coming home from her stint in camp, Josie promptly returned to her regular job as a co-presenter on This Morning earlier this week.

However, the 38-year-old has now admitted that she had a medical emergency before her first day back.

Earlier today, Josie appeared on ITV’s Loose Women, during which she was quizzed about her time on the hit reality show.

"The jungle was an adventure and I’m glad I did it,” she gushed, before going on to reveal why her return to work was not smooth sailing.

“When I came out, I was on the flight home and I just started to feel really unwell – I was shivering," she recalled.

"Then when I got back I had severe tonsillitis. I couldn't breathe, so I got taken to hospital on Friday,” Josie confessed, before going on to detail her treatment.

"They put me on a drip and gave me loads of steroids to bring all the swelling down so I could breathe again. It was a bit touch and go whether I could make This Morning,” the mum-of-one admitted, before going on to praise her medical staff.

“So I just want to thank everybody that works as the RUH in Bath – I would not have been able to do This Morning without them, and they really took care of me,” she noted.

Josie was later asked how she has been feeling since her return to work, to which she teased: “Sometimes I’ve been hanging on by a thread, but it’s been good!”

“Both Ron and I have had confirmation for a while now. We decided as a family to take our time to process, to learn, to grow and to find our way together before we shared. So that’s exactly what we did and are continuing to do each day,” she explained.

“We have hard days but we also have lots of magical days. And if only everyone accepted and understood autism, the world really would be a much better place,” she continued.

We finally know why Rachel McAdams turned down a return to the Mean Girls universe!

In November of this year, fans of the hit 2004 movie were thrilled when three of the Plastics – Lindsay Lohan, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert – reunited for a Black Friday Walmart advert.

The brief video showcased Cady, Karen and Gretchen still immersed in the world of North Shore High School. However, despite the joy of seeing the girls together again, Regina George’s absence was felt by everyone.

Now, almost 20 years on from Mean Girls’ original release, actress Rachel McAdams has admitted why she turned down the chance to step into Regina’s shoes once again.

In an interview with Variety, the 45-year-old was asked about her absence in the advertisement.

“I don’t know, I guess I wasn’t that excited about doing a commercial if I’m being totally honest. A movie sounded awesome, but I’ve never done commercials, and it just didn’t feel like my bag,” she confessed.

Despite this, Rachel went on to reveal that she was not given the full details of the advert.

“Also…I didn’t know that everyone was doing it. I would, of course, always love to be part of a Mean Girls reunion and hang with my plastics, but yeah, I found that out later,” she added.

The Notebook star was also asked if we can expect a surprise cameo from her in the upcoming Mean Girls movie. Set to be released on January 19, the film is an adaptation of the Broadway musical version of Mean Girls. The original movie’s creator Tina Fey has returned to write the screenplay.

Not a fan of the Christmas pudding? Candied peel and brandy just not for you?

We get it. It can be hard to make traditional Christmas food when you have kids or fussy eaters in the house – plus sometimes centuries old recipes need a little update!

This recipe has none of the waiting around watching it for four to five hours, waiting for it to cook or making it months in advance that traditional puddings demand. This chocolate biscuit ‘Christmas pudding’ cake looks traditional – but it sure doesn’t taste it! Chocked full of delicious crumbly biscuit, fluffy marshmallow, Christmassy peppermint and luxurious chocolate, this is the perfect recipe for the alternative ‘Christmas pudding’ cake!

Ingredients:

225g milk chocolate

225g dark chocolate

150g butter

225g golden syrup

300g Rich Tea biscuits, roughly crushed

70g Maltesers

3 drops of peppermint extract

30g marshmallows

To decorate:

125g ready-to-roll icing

Icing flour, to dust

Red and green food colouring

Instructions:

Step 1. Break up the chocolate into smaller parts, and then melt it together with butter and golden syrup in a bowl in a saucepan over a low heat.

Step 2. Get a standard pudding bowl, grease the inside with butter and then use cling film to line the inside.

Step 3. Carefully take your bowl with melted butter, chocolate and golden syrup off the heat, and mix with the crushed biscuits, Maltesers, marshmallows and peppermint extract.

Step 4. Empty mixture into the lined and greased bowl, making sure to press it all down to ensure it’s tightly sealed.

Step 5. Smooth over the bottom to allow it to stand evenly later.

Step 6. Put mixture in the fridge to set – this should take about 12 hours. Then turn upside down onto a suitable serving plate.

(If you experience difficulty with removal, carefully purring warm water around the bowl – avoiding the bottom, can loosen the cake.)

Step 7. Set aside a section of icing, and roll it out on a surface covered in cornflour to avoid sticking. Fashion it into a shape you like for the icing. Fix to the cake’s top with a little brush of water to make it stick.

Step 8.  Using remaining icing, section it up and dye one half red and the other green. Mix in until colours are saturated throughout and then fashion your holly and berries. Fix atop the white icing with a little bit of water.

Bobby Brazier has spoken out on his journey with Strictly Come Dancing, a few days after its thrilling conclusion.

On Saturday night, the EastEnders actor and his dance partner Dianne Buswell lost out on the chance to lift the glitterball trophy, as former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach and her partner Vito Coppola won the series.

However, despite failing to receive the most votes from Strictly viewers, Bobby has still been gushing over his experience.

Earlier today, the 20-year-old appeared on ITV’s Loose Women alongside his father Jeff Brazier. During his interview, Bobby was asked how he has been coping with the end of his Strictly journey.

"I feel a bit lost. I miss Dianne. I’m eating ice cream for breakfast, I’m in no kind of physical place… I don’t know what to do, what do I do?" he admitted.

When asked to describe his time on the hit BBC show, the soap actor exclaimed: “Immense joy and deep distress but memories that will last a lifetime.”

"I knew from the very beginning that I didn’t want to miss out on anything, I wanted to experience all of Strictly and I feel like I did,” Bobby continued.

"I didn’t miss out on any of the dances, as I say, I experienced immense joy and deep distress and I welcomed it all and I loved every second. Actually, that’s a lie. I didn’t love every second,” he teased, referring to the show’s intense training.

Bobby then concluded by detailing how Strictly helped him to express his grief over the loss of his mother, Big Brother star Jade Goody, who died from cervical cancer when he was just five years old.

"I fell in love over the course of the last couple of months, with just telling the story. Whether it’s the joyful story or the grief story, any kind of story, just the ability to express myself, with Dianne, through the means of a dance is so much fun,” he praised.

Clelia Theodorou has shared another health update, seven months on from her terrifying car crash.

In May of this year, the former star of The Only Way Is Essex was involved in a horrifying accident, which tragically claimed the life of her mother.

Clelia, who was pregnant with her first child at the time of the crash, ended up spending weeks in hospital with broken feet and legs, and is still struggling with mobility.

Now, as she prepares to mark her first Christmas with her three-month-old daughter Cielo and boyfriend Tommy Cole, Clelia has revealed that she has undergone yet another operation for her injuries.

Taking to her Instagram stories, the 29-year-old shared a black-and-white image of herself in bed in a hospital gown.

“Another surgery completed,” she wrote alongside the snap, followed by a fingers crossed emoji.

“Hopefully on the way to being able to walk properly again soon. I’m in a lot of pain but had to be done,” Clelia admitted, before going on to explain what her operation entailed.

“I had some of my metal rods removed in my foot and leg. Will have to have more removed as well but for now this should get me to where I need to be for walking again,” she concluded.

After being inundated with well-wishes from her 227K followers, the mum-of-one later went on to post a photo of her bandaged legs and feet, as she continues to recover at home.

“Thank you for your kind messages,” she penned, adding: “Suffering with the pain but on the road to recovery.”

Following her terrifying crash experience, Clelia spoke out for the first time on July 31 and confirmed the devastating news of her mum’s death.

In a statement on social media, she wrote at the time: “The person I never, ever wanted to say goodbye to. Who loved me unconditionally, the pure definition of a mother’s love. This pain is paralysing.”

Men are notoriously difficult to buy for. Faced with an impending birthday, anniversary or family Christmas, it’s tempting to play it safe with tried and tested staples like ties, socks and their favourite tipple. While some of the men in our lives might appreciate these familiar favourites, others will be quietly hoping for a little variety. Do you still have a long list of people to buy for this Christmas? Perhaps you’re dreading a fast-approaching birthday. We’ve put together some handy tips to help you find the perfect gifts for dads, brothers, boyfriends, best friends, and more.

Your Other Half

Let’s start with the most daunting of all gift for him challenges. On paper, finding the perfect gift for a husband or boyfriend seems easy enough. After all, you have a direct line to them and should have a solid understanding of their tastes, including any no-gos. Are you shopping for a fashion-conscious partner? It’s natural to want to spend over the odds on designer pieces but if they don’t go down well, they’ll only end up gathering dust in a wardrobe. Try to avoid off-the-rail apparel in general and consider bespoke accessories instead.

Whether it’s an embossed tie clip to enhance his tailoring or a monogrammed pocket square, personalised accessories always go down well. However, bear in mind that quality comes at a premium.

Fantastic Gifts for Father’s Day

You’ve probably been buying your dad the same bundle of gifts every year. However, try to mix things up a little when Father’s Day rolls around again. Parents in general tend to favour nostalgic gifts, so you shouldn’t feel cheap about framed photographs or scrapbook albums. It’s tempting to send a batch of images off to a printing company and have an album printed off for you, but it’s going to mean a lot more if you put things together yourself.

Looking for something more practical? If your dad still has room in his collection for another wallet, spend a little more on something special. Genuine leather is the obvious option, but it’s not your only choice. Wood and resin wallets are becoming increasingly popular and he’s sure not to have one of these beauties already.

Buying for Brothers

You probably know your sibling better than anyone else in the world. As such, you shouldn’t have too much trouble selecting a unique gift they’ll love. Think back to your childhood for inspiration. Were they crazy about Star Wars or passionate about Power Rangers? Raise a smile by filling a gift bag with action figures, sticker books and other branded merchandise.

If your brother’s notoriously frugal, he’s probably running low on the essentials. High-quality grooming products from popular brands like Gillette will always be welcome.

Perfect Presents for Best Friends

A Pew Research Center survey found that the average American has five or more close friends. If your social circle continues to expand, keeping on top of gift-giving can prove an expensive venture. Rather than spend freely on everyone, try and whittle things down to best friends only. If those BFFs are of the male persuasion, you’ll need to think creatively when buying for them.

The trick here is to keep it personal. Pick something that encapsulates your friendship in one neat package. Did the two of you enjoy a fine meal at a particular restaurant? Find out whether the venue in question offers gift vouchers. Did you enjoy a memorable trip away together? Pull together photos and mementoes of your trip and assemble a one-of-a-kind keepsake box.

You Don’t Need To Spend a Fortune

One final thing to remember is that you don’t need to spend much on gifts to make someone happy. Provided you’ve put a little consideration into what you’re gifting, they’ll never be disappointed when it comes to unwrapping those thoughtful buys. If you struggle to stick to a budget when looking for gifts, make your next shopping trip a challenge. Decide the maximum amount you’re willing to pay and don’t stray from that number. You’d be amazed at how much more creative you’ll be when it comes to selecting something special.

Helen Flanagan has been speaking about co-parenting with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair.

Helen and Scott, who separated last year, share three children together- eight-year-old Matilda, five-year-old Deliliah and two-year-old Charlie.

With Christmas right around the corner, Helen has opened up about co-parenting with Scott during the festive holidays and discussed that she is not spending Christmas day with her little ones this year.

While appearing on Lorraine, which was hosted by Ranvir Singh, earlier today, the former Coronation Street star spoke about how much of a ‘journey’ co-parenting has been.

Ranvir asked Helen, “So what's happening at Christmas? I know you've split up with your partner and it's all very amicable but you are separate this Christmas aren't you, how is it going to work out?”.

“So yeah, I feel like with co-parenting it is a journey isn’t it”, Flanagan replied.

“I feel like if everyone was like, ‘Oh yeah we're the best of friends all the time’, I think that would be a lie”.

Helen went on to say, “Me and my ex, you know, we loved each other very much but we’ve got a… well I suppose we're up and down”.

Sharing an insight into her Christmas plans with her children, Helen detailed why she won't be spending Christmas day with them.

“My kids just love their daddy so much and they are going to him for Christmas for four days. Scott is working in Bristol and he plays football”.

“Then I'm going to go to Bali for 10 days with them for New Year”.

Helen recently divulged more details about spending Christmas away from her children when speaking with Closer.

The 33-year-old explained, “My children are very close to Scott’s mum – we get on very well – and they live in Bath and I live in Bolton. My children really miss their daddy and they’re very close to their nanna, so they’re going to spend Christmas with them. I won’t have them for about four days”.

“It will actually be the first Christmas that I don’t have my children. I think it’s good to have challenges, and with co-parenting you’ve got to be fair. And it’s not about you, it’s about the children and what makes them happy”.
