Spencer Matthews has finally explained why he missed his best friend’s wedding, and the miscommunication behind it.

Spencer’s Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing married Sophie Habboo on Friday at a registry office in London. 

Although the newlyweds have made it clear in the past that they will be celebrating a second wedding in Marbella soon, fans were still shocked to discover that best man Spencer wasn’t there to see Jamie tie the knot.

However, he has now explained the backstory behind his absence!

On a recent episode of his podcast Spencer & Vogue, which was released today, the 34-year-old and his wife Vogue Williams detailed that they were on a family holiday at the time with their three children – Theodore (4), Gigi (2) and Otto (1). 

However, Spencer then went on to reveal that he has been receiving hate for not attending the ceremony. “I’m being absolutely hammed for ‘snubbing’ my best friend’s wedding to go on holiday… I’m not here to b**ch about my best friend but there’s been some serious miscommunication from him,” he admitted.

“I get home from Portugal and there is an article saying I’ve snubbed his wedding and in the pictures, he’s surrounded by groomsmen and his mates and quite frankly, I’m like ‘What the f**k is happening here?'” Spencer vented.

The reality star went on to admit that he was “quite pissed off” about his snub, and he contacted Jamie for an explanation.

“He just said that the day wasn’t supposed to be what it turned out to be. That there was never supposed to be groomsmen and bridesmaids there, but they decided to make more of a thing of it and I was away so it just didn’t cross his mind to call me,” Spencer said.

The former MIC star insisted to Jamie that he didn’t “make the right call”, but has now reassured fans that there is no bad blood between them. 

“I love Jamie and Sophie and we’re very close friends. Jamie has been profusely apologising that this was just a huge misunderstanding and a big mistake. And we just wanted to set the record straight,” Spencer concluded.

Ashley James has had a candid conversation about overthinking and having anxiety since welcoming her second child into the world. 

The former Made in Chelsea star welcomed the birth of her daughter, Ada, last month with her partner Tommy. The couple are already proud parents to two-year-old Alfie.

Ashley is now opening up about intrusive thoughts she has been experiencing since becoming a mum-of-two, and has given her advice to fans that may be going through the same thing.

Posting a sweet video of herself and her baby girl to her 335K Instagram followers, the 35-year-old wrote, “I'm told that anxiety creeps in when you don't live in the present. Either worrying about the future or being nostalgic about the past”.

“Over the last 6 weeks, different thoughts keep creeping in and I keep stopping them, taking deep breaths and then telling myself: you're exactly where you're meant to be. Enjoy being happy”.

She went on to admit, “I worry about what people think, which is funny because I learned a long time ago to stop worrying what people think. You can never please people no matter how much you try, so you may as well just be yourself. Plus, most of the time people aren't thinking about you at all”.

“But anyway, I've been worrying about what people think. At work, online – worrying that all I have to talk about or share at the moment is about being a mum”.

“It's silly isn't it. I have grown a baby for 9 months, my body is still healing. She's still entirely dependent on me and my body. So of course she is my world right now”.

Ashley then said that she wondered why she has these thoughts in the first place. “Is it my own limiting beliefs because I used to judge mums? Is it because society judges us? Is it a pressure to have to prove ourselves? That we are more than *just* a mum. Even though it's one of the most underestimated roles ever. But also, who do I need to prove myself to?”.

“And so i tell myself to stop worrying. To live in the present. The present is so lovely. I'll only have a baby for such a short amount of time”.

“I'm still an awesome DJ. I'm still passionate about politics. I still care deeply about empowering women. I'm still all of the things I was. But right now, it's ok to be exactly where I am”, the former reality TV star added. 

Many of Ashley’s Instagram followers headed to the comments to agree with her points, and shared their own experiences with feeling like they have to ‘prove themselves’ as mums and that they should be ‘doing more’ than they already are.

Someone in the Love Is Blind family just got engaged!

Season 2 alum Kyle Abrams has announced that he has proposed to his girlfriend Talia Deleanos… and she said yes!

Kyle, who was briefly engaged to Shaina Hurley during Love Is Blind’s second season and who also dated co-star Deepti Vempati, took to Instagram last night to share the wonderful news.

The video also featured a close-up shot of the beautiful diamond ring that Kyle picked out for his bride-to-be. 

“Scene 2…”, Kyle teased in his caption with an engagement ring emoji, as a likely hint to his stint on Love Is Blind.

“Thank you to everyone involved! I couldn’t have done it without you,” he added in his caption, as he went on to tag the people who helped to make his proposal possible.

Kyle has subsequently received numerous well-wishes and delighted messages from his 345K followers.

In September of last year, Kyle confirmed that he was in a new relationship, but did not reveal who it was with. 

The reality star decided to disclose his new romance after announcing that he and his best friend Deepti had dated following the Love Is Blind: After The Altar series, but that their romance had not lasted. 

“Since After The Altar was filmed, we had decided to go our separate ways in early summer,” Kyle wrote on social media at the time. 

“I have since embarked on a new relationship which I intend to keep private for a bit,” he added.

Then, two months later in November 2022, Kyle introduced girlfriend Tania to the world by posting an adorable video montage of their relationship so far.

Molly-Mae Hague has shared a key update on how she has been adjusting to motherhood.

The former Love Island finalist welcomed her first child in January with her boyfriend, boxer Tommy Fury. The couple are now parents to a baby girl named Bambi.

In a YouTube video that she posted last month, the 23-year-old admitted that she “didn’t feel myself,” adding: “Becoming a mum is the best thing that’s ever happened to me, but it’s also the hardest thing that’s happened to me – like, wholeheartedly, I have found it really, really hard.”

Now, the mum-of-one has given her fans a new update, in which she has shared a more positive outlook.

Taking to her Instagram stories last night, Molly-Mae opened up a Q&A box to her 7.5M followers.

“I would say the last week or so I feel like a different person and I’m really starting to enjoy it the way I expected to,” the Pretty Little Thing creative continued.

Molly-Mae then went on to write that she has needed time to wrap her head around motherhood. “I think at the start it was a massive shock/adjustment (no matter how much you prepare yourself for it,” she explained.

Molly-Mae also revealed her thoughts on the rumoured names of her daughter, ‘Cloud’ and ‘Halo’, before she confirmed the name Bambi.

“I thought it was cute,” she admitted. “I just love individual names so much… I was in a class at school with 3 Mollys and I always wished I had a name no one else had.”

“People did also guess it was Bambi! As I did used to give a few very small hints,” she teased.

The former Love Island star revealed her boyfriend Mark O’Connor popped the big question while they were enjoying their babymoon in Bermuda.

The 27-year-old shared black and white snaps of Mark down on one knee as he gave Montana her engagement ring, sharing a smooch with her husband-to-be and of Mark standing on the beach where he asked Montana to marry him as he held a bouquet of flowers.

Montana is currently expecting her and Mark’s first child together. She announced the exciting news back in December by posting a sweet video showing the couple with a positive pregnancy test, at doctor’s appointments and at the beach where ‘Baby O’Connor’ was written in the sand.

In March, Montana announced that she and Mark were expecting a baby boy and explained, “We’re so beyond happy and feeling very blessed”, alongside a video of the happy couple popping a balloon that released blue confetti into the air.

Scarlett Moffatt has shared a pregnancy update after she went for her first 4D scan with her boyfriend Scott Dobinson. 

The former Gogglebox star opened up about her experience getting the scan over the weekend and revealed who her little one looks like the most.

Speaking to her 2.3M Instagram followers on her Stories earlier today, Scarlett explained, “Me and Scott went for a 4D picture on Saturday, a 4D scan, of our little boy and I was a little bit dubious. I was like, ‘I think babies just look like babies, don’t they in the womb and stuff?’”.

“But, honestly, you could see so much detail. Actually, he really resembles Scott as a baby. He’s got the same lips, same nose and shape face”.

“I was comparing it to pictures of me as a newborn and Scott as a newborn and I was like, ‘Oh wow, he actually really, really looks like Scott’”.

The 32-year-old went on to encourage other expectant mums to have the scan done. “Obviously we won’t know fully until he’s out in the world, but I was shocked. Anybody who’s considering a 4D scan, definitely do it because it was so cute to see all the little features”.

Moffatt also posted a photo of her baby’s scan and wrote, “But our little boy is doing so well”, alongside it.

Scarlett announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend in February of this year with a sweet video featuring her dog. 

When sharing the exciting news, she explained, “It truly feels like a dream writing this caption. Me & Scott are on cloud nine & we are so happy that we get to share this moment with you all. You are so loved already little one”.

Last month, the reality TV star revealed the couple were having a little boy by posting a black and white video of her holding a bouquet of flowers that transitioned into a beautiful bundle of blue roses.

It’s Victoria Beckham’s birthday!

The fashion designer and former Spice Girls star is turning 49 today.

To mark the wonderful occasion, her husband David has shared an adorable throwback snap of the pair from the earlier days of their relationship. The sweet image showcases a younger Victoria with a beaming smile, as David kisses the tip of her nose.

“Happy Birthday to the most amazing wife and mummy x someone who inspires us every single day,” the 47-year-old retired footballer praised in his caption. 

“We love you and you deserve to have the most perfect day,” David continued. He also tagged the birthday girl in his caption, along with their four children – sons Brooklyn (24), Romeo (20), Cruz (18) and daughter Harper (11).

She might not have tied the knot on Love Is Blind, but that doesn’t mean that she didn’t find love!

Season 4 star Jackie Bonds has confirmed that she is now in a relationship with co-star Josh Demas.

Fans of the Netflix dating show were shocked when, during the course of the series, the 27-year-old broke off her engagement to fiancé Marshall Glaze and seemingly chose to be with Josh instead.

However, the fourth season of Love Is Blind didn’t fully wrap up Jackie’s story, and so viewers were left wondering if she truly had chosen to pursue a relationship with Josh – and, more importantly, if the pair are still together in present day.

Well, ahead of tonight’s launch of the reunion episode, Jackie has given us an answer!

The dental assistant has taken to her Instagram feed to post a series of photos of herself and Josh from the past 12 months, confirming that they are still together. “A year of standing side by side with my other half. In the conclusion of her caption, Jackie praised the Love Is Blind team for their support. “Thank you @loveisblindnetflix for this amazing experience,” she wrote. 

The confirmation of the couple’s relationship comes after the Love Is Blind reunion special, which failed to launch live last night. It has already been confirmed that Jackie and Josh will briefly appear in the special, in a separate pre-taped interview with host Vanessa Lachey.

The reunion was due to begin a live broadcast on Netflix at 1am BST, but fans were left waiting for 90 minutes as they were shown an error message on their screens.

Netflix later confirmed that, after struggling to find a resolution, they had chosen to pre-record the reunion. It will launch at 8pm BST this evening.

“To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love Is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned,” Netflix apologised on Twitter.

Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, has announced that public in-patient charges have been abolished in all public hospitals. 

The abolition of these fees will be coming into effect today, Monday April 17.

Previously, patients could be charged €80 per day, which went up to a maximum of €800 in a year for people accessing care as a public patient in all public hospitals.

The Minister for Health has signed the Commencement Order, providing for the removal of charges from today.

Stephen Donnelly released a statement about the scrapping of the public in-patient charges which reads, “I am delighted to announce that from today, people will no longer be charged when accessing public inpatient care in our public hospitals”.

“This legislation removes the existing financial burden of public inpatient charges when accessing care in a public hospital. The removal of these charges, announced as part of Budget 2023, is an important step towards reducing the healthcare costs of patients and families”.

He continued, “This measure builds on the abolition of public in-patient charges for children, which I introduced last year, and is another significant step in ensuring that people have access to affordable healthcare services”.

Medical card holders and certain other people were already exempt from these charges. 

It was announced in September of last year that these in-patient hospital fees were abolished for children under the age of 16.

At the time of the abolishment, Minister Donnelly stated, “It helps ease the financial burden of parents/ guardians and ensures cost is not a significant consideration when children need to be in hospital”.

Phillip Schofield has returned to This Morning, after a few weeks of absence.

The 61-year-old chose to stay off-air after his brother Timothy was found guilty of sexually abusing a teenage boy for three years.

Upon his return to his presenting role on This Morning, Phillip decided to start off his first show back by thanking the crew for their support.

"I'd just like to say, it is really lovely to be back. I have missed the show and everyone here,” he stated.

Phillip then went on to directly address the viewers of This Morning. "And also to you, I wanted to say thank you for your kind messages and support which were really appreciated,” he praised.

“Thank you very much indeed. On with the show… Shall we?" he prompted fellow presenter Rochelle Humes.

This is the first time that Phillip has spoken live about his brief departure from This Morning.

"My overwhelming concern is and has always been for the wellbeing of the victim and his family. I hope that their privacy will now be respected,” Phillip said at the time.

"If any crime had ever been confessed to me by my brother, I would have acted immediately to protect the victim and their family. These are despicable crimes, and I welcome the guilty verdicts,” he continued.

Sadly, Phillip’s long-awaited return to the daytime show has coincided with the absence of his friend and co-host Holly Willoughby.

Taking to her Instagram stories last night, Holly announced that she would not be on air with This Morning at all this week.

"Hi… just to let you know I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles,” the 42-year-old explained in a written note. 

“I'll be back as soon as I'm better,” she promised.

Alexandra Mardell has tied the knot to her partner Joe Parker with an intimate yet stunning ceremony in North Yorkshire. 

Alexandra, known for her role as Emma Brooker in the ITV soap Coronation Street, has shared an insight into her big day which took place in front of 90 guests. 

Speaking to OK! About her wedding day, Alexandra said, “It was gorgeous – the scenery was stunning”.

As the 29-year-old wanted to keep her wedding as private as possible, she asked guests not to use their phones during the ceremony or to share photos on social media. 

“We asked politely for people not to use phones during the ceremony and to keep any pictures offline. Everyone said that they really enjoyed being present. It was just about us all being there on the day and it was lovely”.

“There’s always that one auntie that tells everyone or posts it all over Facebook because they’re excited, but we just asked everyone to pass the word around and that if they didn’t mind, to wait until we’d posted pictures”.

“Everyone has stood by that – and now we’re so excited to share them!”.

Alexandra went on to speak about paying tribute to her late dad on her special day, after he sadly passed away at the age of 54 from undiagnosed cardiomyopathy.

“We had a blanket made out of Dad’s shirts and set up on a chair throughout the ceremony. It felt like we had him with us”.

Alexandra’s step dad walked her down the aisle to Al Green’s song Let’s Stay Together. “I was really glad to have him there”, Mardell explained. “He calmed me down and we just had a laugh on the way”.

The actress announced her engagement to Joe in April 2021 after the pair began dating in 2017.

There has been lots of celebrating in the Ferdinand household!

Yesterday, retired footballer Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate celebrated the birthday of his daughter Tia.

Tia, who is currently the only girl amongst the Ferdinand children, is now 12 years old.

To mark the special occasion, Kate decided to share an emotional tribute to her stepdaughter. 

The 31-year-old took to her Instagram stories last night to share a black-and-white image of some giant ‘12’ balloons.

“12 years of Tia,” Kate marvelled in her caption alongside the photo.

“Today is all about you special girl. I can’t believe you are 12,” the former star of The Only Way Is Essex continued to gush.

Kate then went on to recall how her relationship with Tia has developed since she came into her life in 2017. “I met you just after your 6th birthday. 6 years of love, laughter, tears, cuddles & annoyance lool,” she teased.

Kate concluded her tribute with one final message for Tia. “Thanks for being the best daughter I could wish for,” she praised.

On his own Instagram stories, dad Rio also shared a lovely message for his only daughter.

The 44-year-old uploaded an adorable snap of himself and Tia on a beach during a family holiday, as he carries her piggyback style.

“My little girl is now turning into a little woman… will always be our little princess though,” he penned lovingly beside the photo.

Rio and Kate first met in 2016 through mutual friends during a holiday in Dubai. They subsequently began to date a few months later. Their relationship came following the tragic death of Rio’s first wife Rebecca in May 2015, who lost her life due to breast cancer.

Rio and Kate tied the knot in 2019, and then welcomed a baby boy named Cree into the world in December 2020.

Alongside Tia, two-year-old Cree and Rio’s eldest children Lorenz (16) and Tate (14), the couple have announced that they have another new arrival on the way. Rio and Kate are currently expecting a baby girl, who is due this summer.
