Give us a piece of toast and we will drown it in butter. The more the better, we say.

However, there's a new spread in town that promises to give you glowing skin and we're all for trying it.

Beauty Butter has been created by Pearl Butter, a sugar, dairy and chemical-free food company that focuses on beauty from the inside out.

Its new Beauty Butter looks delish, coming in a soft pink hue; but don't be distracted by the colour – it's anti-ageing, illuminating and collagen-boosting all in one.

And it's not only for spreading on your toast. Made from a mixture of activated pearls, coconut flesh, and dragon fruit, you can throw it in a smoothie, your morning porridge, or you know, just eat it out of the jar.

It doesn't stop there. Pearl Butter also has Bliss Butter, which is made from Maqui berry and herds, and promise to give you a kick in the morning.

You can also try brain butter, which is mermaid blue and is made from C-phycocyanin, which has “a neuroprotective protein that supports memory, creativity, and overall brain health,”

We basically want every single one.

We don’t know what exactly we were expecting from Harry Style's solo venture, but it’s safe to say that the former One Direction member’s first single, Sign of the Times, was a pleasant surprise.

Well, Harry has now released a third song from his upcoming self-titled debut album – Sweet Creature.

The song premiered, on Tuesday May 2 on Apple Music's Beats 1 Radio, hosted by Zane Lowe.

Much like the title suggests, the acoustic ballad shows a much softer side to the singer while still showcasing his incredible range.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Harry’s debut album which is due to drop on May 12, before he kicks off a week-long residency on The Late Late Show With James Corden from May 15 to May 18.

Advertisers have long been known to play on our emotions, but perhaps capitalising on the feelings of a sensitive teenager is a step to far?

Facebook has found itself in hot water recently after a report claimed it helped advertisers target teenagers who may be suffering with insecurities and anxiety.

The Australian, an online news outlet, obtained the leaked document which accused the social networking site of conducting research which was then in turn used to help their advertisers take advantage of the "moments when young people need a confidence boost."

However, a Facebook representative has since dismissed the claims, calling the report ‘’misleading’’.

Facebook also released an official statement in which they promised to review the research process.

‘’The premise of the article is misleading. Facebook does not offer tools to target people based on their emotional state.’’

‘’The analysis done by an Australian researcher was intended to help marketers understand how people express themselves on Facebook.’’

‘’Facebook has an established process to review the research we perform. This research did not follow that process, and we are reviewing the details to correct the oversight.’’

This isn't the first time Facebook has been accused of honing in on it's users emotions.

In 2014 the site monitored how almost 700,000 people reacted to changes in their news feed, and found that negative feeling were contagious. The move was heavily criticised at by experts at the time.

Just when you though Ed Sheeran couldn’t get any more famous, his face is now set to grace the walls of the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Belfast-based artist, Colin Davidson, created the oil painting in 2015 after a chance encounter with Ed’s dad – who just so happens to be an art historian and curator.

The singer’s father, John Sheeran, suggested that Ed sit for the 4ft by 4ft canvas painting.

Sure, Ed is used to posing for photos and talking selfies with fans, but sitting for an oil painting is a totally different ball game.

However, according to Smooth Radio, Ed actually enjoyed taking time out from his busy schedule to sit for the painting.

Colin, who has also painted Brad Pitt and Kenneth Branagh, seemed to enjoy the process as well saying “It has been a true privilege to get to know Ed and his family.”

“It is my hope that this new portrait offers an alternative insight, one which allows the viewer to glimpse the source of Ed’s unique creativity.”

The portrait will be displayed in the National Portrait Gallery from Wednesday May 3.

Ed will join the likes of Paul McCartney and Oscar Wilde who also have portraits hung in the gallery.

“I want to be a pain in the ass,” laughed Pieta House founder, Joan Freeman, when speaking to SHEmazing! about her recent appointment as senator to the Seanad.

Reflecting on her decision to push for legislation which would make it illegal for children to be admitted into adult psychiatric units in Ireland, the founder of Ireland’s only free therapeutic service insisted that she refuses to watch the youth of our nation suffer under an inadequate health care system.

Over the course of the last ten years, Joan’s name, the organisation she established in 2006 and their Darkness into Light event has become synonymous with support, empathy and understanding, but despite opening nine branches in Ireland, one in New York and helping in excess of 28,000 individuals, Joan is by no means done.

With a renewed verve and vigour, Joan is currently focussing on child and adolescent mental health in Ireland by proposing Project 95 which seeks to prohibit the admission of children into adult psychiatric wards while offering solutions to issues which may arise under the new legislation.

“Can you imagine how terrifying it must be for a distressed child to be admitted into an adult psychiatric unit?” she asked. “What a bleak picture of the future it must paint?”

Following her determination to highlight the damage such an approach can have on an impressionable child and their distraught family, Joan has been granted a Public Consultation Day which will act as the first step in the creation of a report which will be presented to the Seanad and the Government.

Ultimately, the Public Consultation will facilitate a forum for those engaged with, and affected by, the services and provide a platform for those with an in-depth insight into a matter which desperately needs attention.

“I’ve spoken to a mother who had to sit with her 12-year-old son –  a highly intelligent child – in a very distressed state in an A&E in Waterford Hospital,” Joan told us.

“They were advised to travel to Cork to see a consultant child psychiatrist who was then unable to treat the child as he was outside the hospital catchment area.”

“That child’s parents slept on either side of him that night,” Joan added. “I mean, the lack of interest, the lack of care in this country, is just staggering.”

While understandably galvanised by the Public Consultation Day and the inroads it will potentially make in the government’s approach to children and mental health care, Joan is concerned she will not be able to do enough during her time as senator.

“The senator’s role only lasts as long as the government, ” she reminded us before swiftly turning her attention back to the positive change the Public Consultation is sure to create.

“I am thrilled, I can’t tell you how thrilled, that this is happening. We’re saying ‘tell us your story’, ‘what’s it really like?’ and it’s just so, so important.”

The closing date for submissions to the Public Consultations Committee is Friday, May 12, so if you seek change in the area of children’s mental health in this country, this is your opportunity to make your voice heard.

You can find out more right here or alternatively, visit Senator Freeman’s Facebook page, email joan.freeman@oir.ie or seanadpublicconsult@oireactas.ie.

And if you want to put pen to paper, you can post your submission to:

Bridget Doody,
Clerk to the Seanad Public Consultation Committee
Seanad Office,
Leinster House,
Kildare Street,
Dublin 2.

But wait, there’s more! Pieta House’s Darkness Into Light, supported by Electric Ireland, takes place at 120 venues across Ireland on Saturday 6th May at 4.15am. To find your nearest venue and to register, check this out!

As well as being one of the best looking couples in existence, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds proved that they are as in love as ever after last night's Met Gala.

Paying homage to their relationship, which began back in 2011, Ryan shared his feelings for Blake on social media.

Taking to the very public Humans of New York Instagram page, Ryan had a few sweet and simple words to say about his partner.

A post shared by Humans of New York (@humansofny) on

'She always responds with empathy,' reads the caption.

'She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She'll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old.'

'And she's made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father.'

A post shared by Ryan Reynolds (@vancityreynolds) on

'Before he died, she made me remember things I didn't want to remember. She made me remember the good times.'

If that isn't the cutest, most personal public declaration of love, we don't know what is.

Look, we'd try any excuse to get out of going to the gym. And we've used nearly every trick in the book – tiredness, work, our dog's birthday.

But, this may actually be a legitimate reason to skip the workout.

A new study from Fitrated.com has found that most gym equipment has more germs on it than a toilet seat.

Grossed out? We are too.

The study saw a science lab, EmLab P&K, swab about 30 pieces of gym equipment in three top UK gym chains, and the results were pretty grim.

They found that a treadmill has 74 times more bacteria on it than a public drinking water fountain, while an exercise bike has 39 times more bacteria than a cafeteria tray.

But the mankiest of all? Free weights have 362 times more bacteria than a toilet seat.

Now, that's a lot of germs. But, are we really surprised?

bright, close-up, color

While you may see a lot of people rub down a treadmill when they're finished; how many people do you see cleaning the weights?

So, if you have to go to the gym and this study hasn't given you the creeps, then the best thing for you to do is bring some anti-bacterial wipes to give whatever piece of equipment you're using a quick clean.

Don't touch your face while at the gym either, and take off your exercise clothes the minute you get home. You don't want those germs spreading.

Alexis Ren has amassed over 8.8 million Instagram followers thanks to her tropical, bikini-clad lifestyle.

Showcasing her fit figure on the social media site has propelled her influencer and modelling career, and the perfectly filtered beach shots are envy-inducing.

A post shared by ALEXIS REN (@alexisren) on

Now, the Instagram super star has opened up about her body confidence issues, and admitted that despite being called perfect by her followers in every comment section, the model has struggled with a punishing regimen.

Taking to Twitter, Alexis admitted that she has previously pushed herself to the point of malnourishment through her work, and that this unhealthy state is apparent in her older posts.

She also stated that she previously struggled with a 'toxic state of mind' when it came to food and fitness.

'I've gone through a lot as far as health. I overworked myself to the point of malnourishment,' she tweeted.

'I was in a toxic state of mind, and I'm so grateful to be out of that f****** mindset.'

Thankfully, the Instagram model is not on the road to recovering from her toxic relationship with food, saying that she no longer uses exercise to punish herself, and is able to eat her meals without guilt.

Maintaining the 'perfect,' 'literally goals' bikini body is a ful time job, and Alexis previously put it down to keeping to a healthy lifestyle.

'I love to show off my body, and I feel like I earned it, because I work out every day. I’m really healthy, and that’s one of the things I pride myself on,' she told The Cut last year.

A post shared by ALEXIS REN (@alexisren) on

Alexis's recent admission that behind the scenes, things weren't so perfect, is a valuable reminder to us all that even the most aesthetically pleasing Instagram feed may not be as perfect as it seems.

Kudos to Alexis for pulling back the filtered veil and reminding all 8.8 million of her followers that health is far more important that the ultimate beach pose, and for having the courage to admit to her difficulties without shame.

It seems like the Harry Potter world will never die down.

It's been six years since the last instalment of the franchise debuted in cinemas, yet we all still hold a special place in our hearts for the characters.

And it looks like the author of the books, JK Rowling, is holding onto Pottermania too.

Earlier today she tweeted a confession: "OK, here it is. Please don't start flame wars over it, but this year I'd like to apologise for killing (whispers)… Snape. *runs for cover*"

And it's safe to say, everyone went crazy:

Organisers of Fyre Festival have been hit with a $100 million lawsuit alleging fraud.

The luxury getaway in the Bahamas hit the headlines as it was plugged as the ultimate glamorous, high-end festival experience, with the promo video featuring celebrity models like Bella Hadid and Chanel Iman frolicking in the sun.

The festival ultimately collapsed into chaos, as festival organisers failed to have the festival ready for attendees, and what was organised was far from what was promised, with limited infrastructure and only the most basic of essentials.

Instead of being met with 5-star camping experiences, gourmet food, and all-star music acts, the attendees arrived to the island to find dilapidated tents, cheese sandwiches and a mass of cancelled acts.

Some Twitter users even described how their luggage was tossed out of trucks into a group of waiting people.

Blink-182, who were set to be headlining, pulled out  of the gig last minute on Thursday.

Major Lazer, Skepta and Disclosure were also set to perform at the 3-day luxury festival.

Some festival hopefuls paid up to $12,000 for their tickets.

The festival has told attendees they can have their tickets refunded or receive a VIP ticket to Fyre Festival 2018.

According to the lawsuit, the scene on arrival at the island 'was closer to The Hunger Games or Lord of the Flies than Coachella.'

The event has been described as a 'Hunger Games for rich people' on social media.

Bella Hadid, who was involved in promoting the event for organisers Ja Rule and his business partner Billy McFarland, took to Twitter to apologise for her involvement in the project.

Ja Rule also took to Twitter to say: 'I truly apologise as this is not my fault… but I'm taking responsibility.'
