Coconut oil is an all-round product. It can do lots of things and can actually replace many products that you use in one quick purchase. Try it out and see what you think!

1. Moisturiser
Use coconut oil as a post-shower moisturiser or use it to soften feet, hands, elbows, knees, everywhere!

2. As a hair mask
If your hair is dry and brittle and your purse virtually empty, use coconut oil as a hair mask. Put it in at night, wrap your hair in a scarf to protect your pillows and wash it out in the morning. You may need to shampoo twice to get it out properly, but your hair will be super soft and shiny afterwards.

3. Hair removal
Replace your regular shaving foam with coconut oil for silky skin and a smooth finish.

Dinner, movie, dinner, movie, long walk on the beach (who actually does that?), dinner and then a movie again – is this your dating life?

We were bored just writing that, so we picked our five favourite alternative dates for you can try out.

1. Drive-in cinema
Ok so technically this is only available in Cork, but hey, it’s a small island – road trip!

2. Mini-golf
Available indoors or outdoors (for those two days of sun in July), you’ll have hours of fun challenging your date in mini-golf.

3. Hiking
There are countless beautiful walks in the countryside, so let’s get out there and stretch the legs, get rid of the phone and really get to know each other. You should probably save this one for when you’ve known the person for a while. Blind date in a forest? No thanks!

4. Snowboarding
Snowboarding? In Ireland? Get out of it. But yes, really in Ireland. Check out skiclub.ie and extremesports.ie for more details.

5. Cookery Classes
What could be more romantic than a candlelit dinner that you made yourself? Even better, it won’t be fish fingers and waffles and you won’t burn it because there is adult supervision in the shape of your chef teacher, yay!

With all the challenges life throws at us every day, getting a good night’s sleep doesn’t always come easy- unless of course you’re in the arts and creative industry.

New research from UK bedding specialists, Slumberdown, found that 82% of people who work in the arts and creative industries get at least eight hours of unbroken sleep a night- isn’t it well for some!

Surveying over 2,000 people across the UK, they found that charity workers aren’t as fortunate. More than half of these poor workers say they get woken up every night.

Even more unfortunate, scientists were believed to wake up the grumpiest because they don’t get enough sleep.

If you’re not in the arts and creative industry, don’t look so depressed. The study also found that sleeping in your own bed fuss-free bed will help you get a decent night’s sleep.

I guess you know where you’ll be staying tonight.

You’ve hit one of the big milestones of your relationship and are now living together. This is where things can sometimes go pear shaped so below are some ways you can create harmony in your home and in your relationship.

1. Give each other room
It’s hard to share your space with someone but sacrifices need to be made, so no, your tanning products do not need to take up one entire shelf.

2. Breathing space
Being around someone 24/7 is not healthy, so be sure to make time for your friends. After all, they’re the ones who will be there if things don’t work out. Maybe plan a girly night out and your partner can have a night in with their friends or vice versa.

3. Take turns doing chores and making dinner
Resentment will grow if these household necessities are not shared. End of.

4. Date night
It’s important to get out of the house and have fun together. It can be too easy to just stay in and watch a movie but it will benefit your relationship more to get out there; maybe the cinema or dinner, or both!

5. Little things
Buy them their favourite biscuits, cook their favourite dinner, leave funny notes, make surprise cups of tea or bring out the rubbish. Never mind the last one – that’s crazy talk.

Planning on a city break but stuck for ideas of where to go? To take the pressure off, we have found the hottest places to visit this year:

Berlin
If you have never been to Berlin, now is the time. Germany’s capital is vibrant and full of culture. What’s more, the city is cheap in comparison to the rest of Europe.

Liverpool
Shopping, cheap booze and excellent restaurants means this city is the perfect setting for a girly weekend away.  Fans of the Beatles will also be in heaven.

Riga
If you love  architecture then this is the place for you.  The city is one of the most cosmopolitan of the Baltic capitals and it combines medieval with modern. The beautiful Latvian capital is also the European Capital of Culture for 2014 so it is well worth a trip.

Think of us while you are sipping cocktails at sunset…

Today’s best dressed star is New Girl Zooey Deschanel.

Zooey is known for her feminine, retro style, with cute dresses and skirts a staple of her New Girl outfits. On the red carpet Zooey loves sparkle and always looks demure and cute.

We would love to have her wardrobe, and her hair. Mostly the hair. Happy Birthday Zooey!

These truffles are very easy to make and can be prepared the day before and left in the fridge until you need them. Rich and dense, the perfect after-dinner treat!

What you need:

  • 400g dark chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 250ml double cream
  • 100ml Bailey’s
  • cocoa powder, to coat

What you do:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the cream until it is nearly boiling, but do not allow it to actually boil.
  2. Pour the cream over the chocolate pieces and allow the chocolate to melt. When it has melted, stir in the Bailey’s.
  3. Place the mixture in a bowl that will later allow you to shape the truffles, perhaps a wide casserole dish.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until it has hardened.
  5. Put some cocoa powder on a plate.
  6. Shape the truffles using your hands and roll the balls in the cocoa powder; then place on a serving plate.
  7. Continue until the mixture is used and all of the truffles are coated with cocoa powder.
