King Charles III has shared an emotional speech to honour his late mum Queen Elizabeth II on the first anniversary of her passing. 

The Queen died one year ago on September 8 in Balmoral Castle at the age of 96.

Her passing came just months after the Platinum Jubilee which celebrated 70 years on the throne. 

To mark the one-year anniversary of her death, King Charles released a moving statement about his mum, describing her as ‘devoted’.

Sharing the speech to The Royal Family’s social media pages, the tribute reads, “In marking the first anniversary of Her late Majesty’s death and my Accession, we recall with great affection her long life, devoted service and all she meant to so many of us”.

“I am deeply grateful, too, for the love and support that has been shown to my wife and myself during this year as we do our utmost to be of service to you all”.

William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, also honoured Queen Elizabeth by posting a collection of photos of her, including some with her grandchildren, to Instagram. 

Their joint statement says, “Today we remember the extraordinary life and legacy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth. We all miss you. W & C”.

The Prime Minister of the UK, Rishi Sunak, shared a message for the late Queen, and reminisced on fond memories he had with her. 

He wrote, “Today, on the solemn anniversary of the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, our thoughts are with His Majesty King Charles III and the whole Royal Family. With the perspective of a year, the scale of Her Late Majesty's service only seems greater”.

“Her devotion to the nations of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth only seems deeper. And our gratitude for such an extraordinary life of duty and dedication, only continues to grow”.

“I treasure my memories of those occasions when I met Her Late Majesty, in particular the private audience I had with her at Buckingham Palace before presenting my first Budget as Chancellor. I was struck by her wisdom, by her incredible warmth and grace, but also her sharp wit”.

Sunak continued, “People across the UK – whether they had the good fortune to meet Her Late Majesty or not – will be reflecting today on what she meant to them and the example she set for us all. We will cherish those memories”.

“The bond between country and monarch is sacred. It endures. So, while we continue to mourn Her Late Majesty’s passing, we should be proud that this remarkable legacy of service – and this remarkable bond – continues to grow today under the reign of His Majesty The King”.

To mark the Ascension of King Charles, bells will be rung at Westminster Abbey, a 62-gun salute will be fired by the Tower of London, and a 41-gun salute will be fired in Hyde Park today.

The name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second child has finally been revealed!

Almost three weeks ago, it was reported that the Diamonds singer and the Praise The Lord rapper had welcomed another baby boy together in early August.

Now, one month on, we finally have the birth date and name choice for Rihanna’s newest addition!

According to a birth certificate obtained by publication The Blast, the 35-year-old gave birth to a baby boy on August 1, 2023, at 7:41am, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

However, fans might have to wait a while to catch a glimpse of Rihanna’s new bundle of joy, as she previously waited seven months before sharing the first image of her son RZA.

In the meantime, the fanbase of the We Found Love hitmaker has taken to social media to share their opinions on the name reveal.

“Stop playing with them riot,” one fan teased, referring to a lyric from A$AP Rocky’s recent hit song RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n).

Rihanna initially announced her pregnancy on February 12, when she headlined the Super Bowl halftime show. The exciting news came just nine months after she welcomed her first child RZA.

At the beginning of her electric performance, the Grammy-award winner opened up her costume jacket to reveal her growing baby bump,

A few months later, Rihanna attended the Met Gala with A$AP Rocky on May 1, and chose to open up about her pregnancy with her second child.

“It's so different from the first one. No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything's different, but I'm enjoying it,” she exclaimed to Entertainment Tonight at the time.

Laura Anderson is now a mum!

The former Love Island contestant, who was a runner-up in the show’s series in 2018, has announced the birth of her first child.

Laura has welcomed a beautiful baby girl, who she will co-parent with her ex Gary Lucy.

Laura took to social media to confirm the wonderful news of her daughter’s arrival. The 34-year-old decided to share a heartwarming video montage of herself and Gary with their little girl, including everything from her birth to her first few days at home.

“Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie Rose Lucy Anderson,” Laura penned on behalf of her daughter, before confirming: “I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03am and weighed 6.10lbs.”

“My Mummy & Daddy are sooooo happy and in love with me, this is our first week together,” Laura continued to gush.

The reality star then hinted that her labour was a complex one, writing: “I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt my mummy a little bit and scared my daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home.”

At the end of her caption, Laura issued a plea, which read: “Please don’t question My Mummy & Daddy on their relationship- This.. is all about me.”

Many of Laura’s Love Island 2018 co-stars have since congratulated her on Bonnie’s arrival.

“Love her so much,” replied Kaz Crossley.

“Congratulations girl! Bonnie is such a beautiful name, she’s perfect!!” added Megan Barton Hanson.

Laura and Gary entered into a relationship during filming for Celebs Go Dating last year. On February 15, Laura announced that she was expecting her first child with Gary. 

Although her video announcement featured the Hollyoaks actor, Gary stated later that day that he and Laura were no longer together.

Laura has since insisted that the pair will “definitely not” rekindle, and also confirmed in an Instagram Q&A that their pregnancy was “planned and worked first time”.

Rylan Clark has shared an update on his mum Linda’s health. 

The news comes after the radio presenter revealed his mum had to undergo emergency surgery while they were on holiday together following a ‘bad fall’.

Now, Rylan has taken to social media to share the good news that his mum is on her way home after her operation went well.

When revealing the incident on social media last week, the Big Brother star explained, “So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she's had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have surgery out here”.

Love Is Blind fans, we have some great news for you!

Netflix has finally shared a first look at the fifth season of its popular reality show.

Ahead of its premiere on September 22, the streaming giant has launched the first official trailer for Love Is Blind season five.

You can watch the trailer below:

While we do not yet know who this season’s primary couples will be, the brief trailer already promises an abundance of romance, drama, love triangles and tension.

“When you love somebody, you don’t just leave without telling them anything,” one male contestant sighs during the trailer.

During another tense moment, a female Love Is Blind star promises: “No matter what, you fight for each other.”

The trailer also confirms the return of co-hosts (and real-life married couple) Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey, as they give singletons the chance to find love, sight unseen.

For those who are unfamiliar with the concept of Love Is Blind, a group of single men and women are separated by pods in which they cannot see each other. Using only their voices, they embark on multiple (and literal) blind dates in the hopes of falling in love and getting engaged.

Typically, the season will then continue to follow five engaged couples outside of the pods, as they return to normal life and try to mould together the most important aspects of their lives, including family, friends, careers, finances and living spaces.

One month after getting engaged, each couple will then walk down the aisle and will inevitably answer the show’s big question – is love blind?

We can’t wait to find out how this season’s couples fare in their quest for happiness!

The first four episodes of Love Is Blind season five will arrive on Netflix on Friday, September 22. The remaining six episodes will continue to drop weekly over the following three weeks.

One of Gogglebox’s original stars has announced that he has left the show.

Brighton hairdresser Stephen Webb and his husband Daniel have revealed that they will no longer be appearing on the hit Channel 4 series.

While Daniel only joined the Gogglebox cast in 2019, Stephen had become a beloved fan favourite since his appearance on the show’s very first episode in 2013.

Ahead of Gogglebox’s return to screens tomorrow night, the couple chose to take to Instagram earlier today to announce the heartbreaking news to fans.

Firstly, they released a written statement, which read: “After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox. We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities.”

Stephen and Daniel added: “We would both like to thank Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for letting us be part of this amazing, funny and heartwarming show. We are also extremely thankful to the cast and crew, our Gogglebox family as we call them and of course the fans, thank you for all of your love & support over the years.”

Following on from their written message, the stars also recorded a video message in dedication to Gogglebox viewers.

“We thought we'd put out this little video especially for the fans of the show just to say thank you for all your love and support over the years. It really has meant a lot,” Stephen praised.

"And we just wanted to do this video to say thank you to you guys – and if you do get withdrawal symptoms, we are available on Netflix!" he added teasingly. 

Many of Gogglebox’s stars have since taken to social media to share their reactions.

“Gonna miss you both,” replied Izzi Warner, who appears with her sister Ellie.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer welcomed her first child, Lyra Rose, into the world in July with her husband, Aljaž Škorjanec.

Now, six weeks on from the birth of her daughter, Janette has returned to her presenting role on BBC One’s Morning Live.

“It was so nice to be back on @bbcmorninglive today w/ @gethincjones and the whole gang! But what made it extra special, is that Lyra got to watch her Mami doing her thing at work for the first time w/ her cousins Zala and Tisa,” Janette gushed in the caption of her post.
