Jack Fincham has spoken out for the first time ever about his battle with drug addiction.

The former Love Island champion, who won the show back in 2018 with his then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, has struggled with addiction since coming out of the villa.

Two years after winning the hit ITV series, Jack was admitted to a rehab facility in November 2020. Now, for the first time, the reality star has chosen to open up about his struggles with drugs.

In an interview with The Sun, Jack recalled that he was using class A drugs such as cocaine, as well as taking at least 30 diazepam pills a day, to cope with anxiety surrounding his fame.

Reflecting on the moment he was taken to rehab, Jack explained: “The night before I went to rehab, I'd been out and taken a load of sleeping and anti-anxiety tablets. I didn't know who I was or what I was doing. I didn't even know I was going to rehab.”

Jack went on to state that he never “questioned it” when his mother told him to pack his bags.

"I got in the car with my agent and I still wasn't asking where he was taking me. I was just out of it and didn't have any idea what was going on,” he detailed.

"We drove to rehab and when we arrived he said, ‘This is where you're going', but he didn't say the word 'rehab' and so off I went. I got in there and then realised, ‘S***, I'm not coming out of here now.’”

After numerous incidents with drug driving, Jack is now on the path of sobriety and has been clean since August. In his interview, the former Celebs Go Dating star confessed that his addiction was nearly fatal.

"Death was on the cards for me, it was imminent. If I had carried on how I was, even up to six months ago, I would definitely be dead. Without a shadow of a doubt,” he noted, concluding that he was in a “vicious cycle”.

The Only Way Is Essex stars had been going strong for six years, and they had even moved in together and shared a dog named Oliver.

Sadly, their romance ended up breaking down in May of this year, amid rumours that Amber had cheated.

Now, a few months on from their split, Amber has opened up about her feelings towards Dan.

In scenes in TOWIE’s upcoming series finale, which is set to air on Sunday, viewers will be able to witness Amber getting candid with her co-star Chloe Meadows.

“I feel really torn about what to do,” the 30-year-old fashion influencer admits to Chloe.

“It is like I am protecting myself because I don't want to fully allow myself to get hurt and think I want to get back with him,” Amber explains, adding: “If he basically tells me to do one, that's me being heartbroken again.”

When Chloe asks her if she regrets breaking up with Dan, Amber responds: “I don't know. I am scared to think about that right now.”

“I don't know where Dan's head is at. I honestly feel so confused,” she adds candidly.

While Amber has never fully addressed rumours of infidelity, the reality star had previously admitted during the series that she would “marry [Dan] tomorrow.”

Following on from a conversation with Dan’s mother Wendy, Amber chose to reflect on her relationship with the 33-year-old.

“We were both emotional. The whole thing does upset me. It has left me with a lot to think about. I am still unsure where our future lies,” she contemplated further.

The series finale of The Only Way Is Essex will air on ITVBe this Sunday at 9pm.

“Like most people of sound mind and reason around the globe, we are heartbroken and shocked to see the indiscriminate murder of children and civilians happening for the past few weeks. This, on top of decades of oppression, persecution and dehumanisation is something we can only struggle to comprehend. That is why we are very proud to raise our voices in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

It's the very very least we can do."

Damien Dempsey said:

“The people of the open air prison known as the Gaza Strip, really need our help. They really need for the international community to push very hard, now, for a Palestinian state, which would benefit both the children of Palestine and of Israel. The children of the region deserve a better future.”

The Mary Wallopers said:

“We think it’s extremely important for everybody to spread awareness about what is happening in Palestine right now. The government and media have been releasing misinformation and blocking Palestinian news sources. This isn’t about religion or politics at this stage, it’s about basic human rights.”

Lisa O’Neill said:

“It’s hard to fathom the immense and horrific reality on the ground for civilians and those fighting as this conflict continues.
If we can hold a light for all those suffering, even for a few hours through the historical and powerful medium of song, then of course we will.

A song that is speaking to me profoundly at present is ‘Brothers in arms’ written by Mark Knopfler:"

"there’s so many different worlds, so many different suns. And we have just one world, but we live in different ones”

Patrick Dempsey has been opening up about fatherhood.

The Grey’s Anatomy star shares three children with his wife Jillian Fink- 16-year-old twin sons Sullivan and Darby, and a 21-year-old daughter named Talula.

As he opens up about raising his children in Hollywood, Patrick describes them as ‘polite’ and highlights the importance of ‘keeping them grounded’.

While chatting to People, Patrick admitted his children “want to have their own identity, separate from me and that shadow”.

“They all have unique qualities and they have their own goals that they need to develop and harvest themselves and we just try to model our behaviour and hopefully they’ll pick up on that”.

Dempsey continued, “They’re all athletic, they like to move. They are all very disciplined on that and you just try to instil the right values”.

“Hopefully, they have the right manners and when they come back in and other parents go, ‘Oh your children are very polite’, you’re like, ‘That’s nice to hear’. And you know are they grounded”.

While describing what it’s like to be in the limelight while raising a family, the Enchanted actor revealed it’s, “Very challenging having your children grow up in Hollywood and to be in that environment”.

“I just read something about how important it is when you have children, the environment that they’re in will be the most important thing for them and their development. So trying to keep that a good calm loving safe environment for them”.

The 57-year-old then shared an insight into the difference between raising children when they’re younger compared to when they are teenagers.

“Because you need to be around, but they don’t want you around because they’re fighting for their independence, which they should. They need to find out how they interact in the world, they need to learn those boundaries, they need to make mistakes. And you need to be there for them and allow them to learn from that”.

“They keep me very active. I need to stay in shape to keep up with them. The older you get, the more work you have to put in”.

“But with Lyra in our lives now, one thing we’ve had to think about is how we manage work and being parents”.

She continued, “We decided that I would return to work and Aljaž would take on the majority of the care for Lyra. Then six weeks after giving birth, I returned to the Morning Live studio”.

Janette then admitted, “I have had a few negative comments on social media about going back to work”, before she read out multiple comments that were shaming her for returning to work.

Police in Co. Antrim have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a child.

It is believed that the child, whose gender and age has not yet been revealed to the public, died overnight last night.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the PSNI confirmed that the force has started an investigation into the sudden death.

“Police remain at the scene of a sudden death in Larne this morning, Friday, November 10,” they stated earlier today.

“Officers received a report yesterday afternoon, Thursday, November 9, of a medical emergency involving a child, at a property in the Loran Avenue area of the town,” they continued.

“A child was taken to hospital, but sadly passed away. A post mortem will now be carried out today to determine the cause of death and enquiries remain ongoing. Until a post mortem is completed, we will not know the cause of death and would, therefore, urge people to refrain from speculation in relation to this death,” they added.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the medical emergency services detailed that several crews were dispatched to the property in Larne.

“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 1.07pm on Thursday following reports of an incident in the Antiville area of Larne,” they recalled.

"NIAS dispatched a rapid response paramedic and two emergency crews to the incident. The charity Air Ambulance, with HEMS crew on board was also asked to attend,” they explained.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken by ambulance to Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children,” they concluded, confirming the location of the child’s passing.

Many people in the community have been expressing their shock and sadness at the sudden events, including local DUP councillor Andrew Clarke.

"Around about lunchtime there was a lot of activity – various ambulances arriving, the air ambulance came, and that activity continued throughout the afternoon,” he shared in an interview with the BBC, adding: "There was a lot of shock in the local area as news filtered out.”
