Jacqueline Jossa celebrated her daughter turning eight years old this week and has now shared an insight into her unique-themed party.

The EastEnders star took to Instagram to share a video from her eldest’s birthday party, which clearly had a Squishmallow theme throughout, to her 3.5M followers.

The party looked like a great deal of fun with stunning balloon displays featuring Squishmallow teddies, plenty of on-theme goodie bags for party-goers, disco lights, personalised cupcakes and a lavish two-tiered birthday cake complete with doughnuts, sweets, marshmallows and strawberries.

Jac captioned the post, which is set to Grace Potter’s song Something I Want, “Ella turns 8. Huge Thankyou to these small businesses @giggle_pr for helping with everything, @forevereventsessex for the balloon/sign display of dreams!! @slice_slice.baby for the cake and cupcakes. The little gift bags are from @rgmdesigns4u”.

A host of Jac’s followers headed to the comments to share how great it was to see the soap star supporting so many small businesses, as well as saying how fabulous the party looked.

“From a small business THANK YOU it’s with support like yours we can keep going! Looks like she had the best time!”, wrote one follower.

A second fan penned, “How lovely all the Squishmallow designs, my daughter would love those too”. A third added, “Awww so so beautiful, happy 8th birthday once more Ella”.

When marking Ella’s birthday on social media. Jossa shared a sweet photo of her daughter surrounded by her birthday presents and penned a heartfelt tribute to her.

The 30-year-old wrote, “I can’t believe you are 8 years old, you changed my life in the best way possible, becoming a mum was the best gift I could ever receive”.

“You are my best friend in the whole world and you truly mean everything to me. I love you more than anything. Thank you for being YOU. I’m so proud of you baby girl. My little squidge”.

Jac and her husband Dan welcomed Ella into the world in 2015. The couple went on to have four-year-old Mia in 2018.

Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.

Bruce was originally diagnosed with aphasia in 2022 but his condition has now progressed into frontotemporal dementia.

The Die Hard actor’s family released a statement to update the world on his recent diagnosis and raise awareness of the disease.

Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, and ex-wife, Demi Moore, posted the same photo of Bruce to each of their Instagram accounts and shared the statement on his health.

The statement reads, “As a family, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the outpouring of love and compassion for Bruce over the past ten months. Your generosity of spirit has been overwhelming, and we are tremendously grateful for it”.

“For your kindness, and because we know you love Bruce as much as we do, we wanted to give you an update. Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)”.

“Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis”.

They continue, “FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know”.

“Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research”.

The statement went on to say that Bruce always uses his voice to raise awareness about important issues and that’s why they have shared his diagnosis.

“We know in our hearts that – if he could today – he would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connectedness with those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it impacts so many individuals and their families”.

Emma and Demi then encouraged the public to get support if they are suffering from FTD and told others who are fortunate enough to have never heard of it, to learn about it, before highlighting the AFTD organisation.

“Bruce has always found joy in life – and has helped everyone he knows to do the same. It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us”.

“We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time. Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible”.

The full statement is signed off by Emma and Demi, as well as Bruce’s five children, Rumour, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.

Shaugna Phillips has had a candid discussion about her pregnancy experience recently.

The former Love Island star has opened up about the ‘toughest part of pregnancy’ for her so far and having to deny claims she’s been editing pictures her blossoming baby bump.

Speaking in her OK! Column, Shaughna shut down trolls claiming she was editing photos of her bump. “Even now, I still get comments on my pictures, accusing me of editing my body. Please point out where I've edited? I've got this huge belly, why would I edit it?”.

“It's very, very strange. I've never looked at my bump and thought, 'Oh, I need to edit this, edit that'. I've seen these comments on Molly-Mae Hague's posts from when she was pregnant, too”.

“That's definitely been the biggest thing I've had to overcome. I think just just getting used to all of the body changes and being okay with it has been a challenge”.

Shaughna has also revealed how the past few weeks of pregnancy have been affecting her mentally and physically.

“I've been quite lucky during my pregnancy to be honest. My hormones are unruly during my period, so I thought it would be even worse during my pregnancy. But until today, it hasn't been too bad. Now, I feel more irritable”.

“I've reached the toughest part of my pregnancy. I've been so up and down and can hardly catch my breath with my hormones”.

The 28-year-old then spoke about the physical changes she has been going through. “I've completely lost my appetite. It could be because there's not much space left, the baby might be pressing on my stomach…This, paired with my average wake-up time being 4am, might be the reason behind my dizzy spells these days too”.

“The biggest struggle I've experienced throughout my pregnancy is dealing with my changing body”.

“When you're a woman, it's frowned upon for you to get bigger unless it's confirmed you're pregnant. And as soon as you're not pregnant, you're expected to go back to being how you were before. You have to unlearn those things that were just taught from a very young age. That's very hard”.

All of this on top of her boyfriend Billy being arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, has been “challenging” for the former reality TV star, who announced the couple were expecting their first child together back in October 2022.

Campaigners for the Patient Safety Bill have been expressing mixed emotions surrounding its approval in the Dáil yesterday.

The bill was highly campaigned by the late Vicky Phelan, who tragically passed away in November of last year after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.

The new bill will, in future, make it mandatory for patients to be told that they have a right to a review of their cancer screening results.

The Patient Safety Bill was drafted as a direct response to the CervicalCheck scandal, which uncovered that over 221 women had had inaccurate smear test results.

The bill was hugely advocated by the 221+ group, which was set up in July 2018 and was founded by Vicky, alongside Stephen Teap and Lorraine Walsh.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland radio programme earlier today, Lorraine Walsh spoke of the bittersweet emotions that she and the rest of the advocacy group felt as their bill was approved by the government yesterday.

“It was a very proud day … proud and sad. It was difficult that Vicky wasn’t with us yesterday. She was the lady that kickstarted a lot of this off,” she praised.

“Obviously, the Patient Safety Bill covers a lot of other issues but it was very important to her that there would be open disclosure going forward in relation to the screening service and that will now happen,” Lorraine explained.

The campaigner was then asked if she thinks if this new bill would have made a difference to both her situation and the lives of other women, if it had been introduced sooner. “A lot of women, after being diagnosed, say and ask the question ‘How did this happen? I’ve had my smears, my smears have come back ok, and how am I in a situation where I now have cancer?’”, Lorraine noted.

“This opportunity will happen now that it will be offered, after the point of diagnosis, a review of your smears or your screening prior to your diagnosis,” she added.

Going forward, the bill must now pass through the Seanad, and then it will become law once it has been signed by President Michael D Higgins.

He will be joined by Claudia Scanlon, who lives with the debilitating skin condition epidermolysis bullosa (EB), to talk about their friendship and the support the EB charity DEBRA Ireland needs as it continues to work for a cure for the condition.

After an incredible performance on last week's Dancing with the Stars, Rory O'Neill aka Panti Bliss will be on the couch with his dance partner Denys Samson. Rory dedicated his dance to Professor Fiona Mulcahy, a consultant who he claims saved his life following his diagnosis of HIV in 1995. Rory and Denys will discuss the importance of raising awareness, breaking down stigmas and the significance of their first dance as Rory and Denys.

Stars of the forthcoming documentary Superagers will be on the show. Their documentary examines the positive aspects of ageing and how some embrace life at every stage.

Navan’s Keith Donegan (26), one of the youngest team owners in motorsport and his team- RPM Motorsport, and Galway driver Adam Fitzgerald will be chatting to Ryan about their hopes to climb the motosport ladder in the Formula Regional European Championship in a couple of months’ time. Vicky Pattison has bravely opened up about her dads ‘secret illness’ and revealed what life is like being a child of an alcoholic.

The former Geordie Shore star has taken to Instagram to help spread awareness of the effects of alcoholism on family members and to break the stigma.

Vicky posted a photo of herself standing outside the House of Parliament to her 5.2M followers and explained in the caption, “My name is Vicky Pattison & I'm the child of an alcoholic”.

“For years, my family kept my dad's illness a secret- I learnt from a young age that we weren't to talk about what was happening inside our home with anyone else”.

“I didn't have to be told specifically it was just something I knew- maybe I just followed my mam's lead but I knew it was our secret & people wouldn't understand if they knew”.

“But that's the problem, people are never going to understand this illness if we keep hiding it away & expecting it to rest solely on the shoulders of children. The only way to break down the stigma of addiction & alcoholism is by giving it more sunlight, more candour & less judgement”.

“I spent so many years not understanding my dads illness- going through this horrendous cycle of being mad at him, feeling guilt, feeling like I was somehow to blame, feeling devastated that my dad just didn't love me enough to stop drinking”.

The former reality TV star then spoke about the charity Nacoa- National Association for Children of Alcoholics and revealed the worrying ways children of alcoholics can be affected.

These include how they are, “Six times more likely to witness domestic violence” and are, “Twice as likely to develop alcoholism or addiction”.

Vicky continued, “Children need a safe space to talk about what they're going through, they need someone to help them navigate this incredible sensitive & difficult time. The families of alcoholics need help or this disease will just be allowed to breed & destroy even more lives”.

“Today i delivered this speech at the Houses of Parliament alongside other patrons of @nacoauk & I will continue to try & raise awareness & funding for this amazing charity until no child feels alone”.

Many fans rushed to the comments to share their support with Vicky for speaking out on such a difficult topic.

One fan wrote, “Such a powerful message!! Well done on trying to raise awareness on this killer disease! Especially for children of alcoholics”.

“Thank you for being a voice for us and the children affected today xx”, penned a second fan.

A third added, “Your family must be so proud of you being so brave and open, it's fantastic you're using your platform to help others”.

Pattison has previously shared details of her dad’s alcoholism in her Channel 4 documentary last year, Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol and Me.

When speaking to Vogue, Rihanna, who just announced she is pregnant with the couple’s second child while performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, spoke about how she’s finding life as a mum.

“You literally try to remember it, and there are photos of my life before, but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far, because it doesn’t matter”.

When describing her son’s birth, the 34-year-old revealed she felt “blessed” because, “It was beautiful”.

It was the days following her baby’s birth that really got to Rihanna. “I cannot believe it. Essentially, from one person I became two. You walk into the hospital as a couple and leave as a family of three. It’s nuts”.

“And oh, my gosh, those first days are insane. You don’t sleep. At all. Not even if you wanted to. We came home, cold turkey, had no one. It was just us as parents and our baby. Man, you’re a zombie for the most part”.

“You’re just going through the motions, and even then you’re so paranoid. Because you’re like, they trusted us to come home with this baby? This new life? With us? No doctors, no nurses, we’re just… going home?”, she joked.

Rihanna then explained how everyday life changed for the pair. “It changed a lot, but you’re just at the same constant. You’re of service. Literally that is it. You are joyful when you get the time to shower. You know”.

“I remember in the beginning I used to roll his bassinet into the bathroom and be showering and like wiping the fog off [the glass] just to peep at him. Those were always my favourite, his little wake-up face, seeing his face change, seeing his colour come in, just all of these changes”.

The Umbrella singer had some iconic pregnancy fashion looks, but when it came to dressing her postpartum body, she found it difficult.

“Dressing for pregnancy was such a piece of cake, but dressing in postpartum, what the f**k do you do? The week that I came home from the hospital, that was nothing but sweats and hoodies. But the weeks after that, you don’t know what to put on. Everything is too small or too big”.

When reflecting on her and Rocky’s relationship since having their son, The Fenty CEO sweetly said, “We’re best friends with a baby. We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer”.
