Yearly Archives: 2023

Millie Court has opened up about her relationship with Liam Reardon!

The former Love Island champions, who won the show in 2021, got back together earlier this year after calling it quits in July 2022.

Since their rekindling, Millie and Liam have rarely appeared online or in public together.

However, Millie has now chosen to confirm that she has a boyfriend once again.

Last week, the 26-year-old appeared on best friend and housemate Chloe Burrow’s podcast, Chloe Vs The World.

During the interview, Millie confirmed that, after being spotted last month at the London premiere of Barbie with Liam, she did attend the red carpet with “my boyfriend”.

Following on from that revelation, Millie uploaded a ‘life update’ video to her YouTube channel over the weekend, during which she decided to address her relationship with Liam.

“Do we want to address the elephant in the room? Yeah, but not fully,” Millie chuckled.

“There’s been rumours about me and someone being together and it’s been a long time now – it’s been five or six months,” she recalled.

“We are enjoying our time together and that’s all I need to say right now,” Millie stated, before going on to express why she is keeping her romance private.

“I’m talking a bit in code, but I just don’t want to ruin it. I don’t care for other people’s opinions on it, I don’t care for it to be public,” she confessed.

“If I want to keep something private, for the time being… Don’t get me wrong guys, there might be a point where it does happen, but I don’t want to put time on it, I don’t want to put pressure on it. I don’t want anyone else involved, and we are honestly just having such an amazing time and I’ve really, really enjoyed these past five, six months,” she added.

“I just want to continue with how it is. We’ve managed to sort of keep it on the downlow for that long. You guys already know, you know!” Millie exclaimed in conclusion.

Raven-Symoné has opened up about the body shaming that she experienced as a child star.

Raven, who is best known for playing the lead role in Disney’s That’s So Raven series, has admitted that she underwent several surgeries to her body, before she turned eighteen.

Speaking on her podcast The Best Podcast Ever, which she hosts with wife Miranda Maday, the 37-year-old chose to speak candidly about her younger experiences.

Firstly, Raven divulged that she got a breast reduction before she became a legal adult, and claimed that it was her father, Christopher B. Pearman, who had “suggested strongly that” she “should get” the surgery.

The child star then went on to confess that she felt pressured into getting liposuction treatment, in an attempt to stop critical comments about her body.

“There was paperwork involved. He was like, 'So you don't feel bad, is there anything that you want?' I was like, 'Yeah, if I get lipo, will people stop calling me fat?’” she recalled.

“It was just a mess, just being that young and the pain of it all,” Raven added.

However, the former Cheetah Girls star later divulged that after her first breast reduction surgery, she suffered a seizure.

"I remember waking up and seeing everything … and then I just started to have this dry mouth and couldn't breathe and then I went back under," Raven explained.

When asked what her recovery was like, the singer noted: “I disassociated. The recovery was a little painful – I have scars, I still have scar tissue to this day.”

Raven continued her story by revealing that she later went on to have a second surgery for breast reduction, as she continued to receive body shaming comments.

“I actually gained weight after and had to go back for a little bit more out, because they were still ‘too big’, for other’s feelings,” she stated.

In the end, the former Disney star pleaded with her audience not to rush into getting cosmetic surgeries, concluding that “everything is through the lens of another person”.

The government has revealed that victims of domestic violence will be entitled to take five days leave with full pay.

The Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman, has announced that victims of domestic violence will be able to receive their full pay if they need to take domestic violence leave.

The government has said that domestic violence leave will be formally introduced in the autumn.

Women’s Aid is currently developing a publication of regulations that set out the rate of pay and guidance for employers to follow.

A consultation with employers’ representatives, trade unions and domestic violence organisations helped to decide on the rate of pay to be given to victims.

The new form of leave was introduced as part of the Work Life Balance Act, which was passed earlier this year.

Speaking about the fully paid leave days for victims of domestic violence, Minister O’Gorman stated, “Domestic violence leave gives a victim of domestic violence the chance to access support without impacting on their employment and income”.

“It is important that they can take the leave without worrying about losing income or being put at more risk. Ensuring that they can receive their full pay will go a long way to help with this”.

O’Gorman went on to add, “The decision on the rate of pay was taken following consultations with a range of bodies, and their views are reflected in this decision. Any issues raised in the consultations regarding the leave will be taken into account in the review of the provisions”.

The National Women's Council of Ireland have said the domestic violence leave is ‘very welcome news’ and revealed that Minister O’Gorman said there would be a review after two years as NWC and Women’s Aid previously called for 10 days of fully paid leave.

Another Love Island couple has confirmed their split, just one week after the summer season drew to a close.

Kady McDermott has announced that her romance with Ouzy See has come to an end.

This is the third Love Island breakup to occur from this year’s summer series, after Leah Taylor and Montel McKenzie broke off their romance, followed by Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahiljah-Wilson.

Despite their appearance at the Love Island Reunion on Sunday night, rumours of Kady and Ouzy’s split sparked overnight when fans clocked that the pair were no longer following each other on Instagram.

Now, returning series 2 favourite Kady has taken to social media to clear up the speculation, and also to address further rumours about her.

On her Instagram stories, the 27-year-old penned a lengthy message, in which she confirmed that she is no longer with Ouzy.

“Sadly late last night Ouzy's behaviour and actions from the 30th July were brought to my attention. Ouzy is one of the loveliest people I have met and I know he is remorseful but unfortunately actions have consquences and although we are not ‘Official’ in our relationship status I am definitely not prepared to start a relationship off on this foot,” she explained.

“I wish him nothing but happiness and success in his life. Thank you for the continued support by so many of you, I'd like to focus on the many positives and move on with my life now,” Kady added.

Before announcing her split from Ouzy, Kady also took the opportunity to address comments she has made on podcasts about her co-stars, as well as the rumour that she already had a boyfriend when she rejoined Love Island.

“I have apologised to those that have been upset to hear my opinions as this was never my intention, but since I have felt deliberately targeted by some of my fellow islanders. I have also been getting death threats since my podcasts which is not ok,” she stated.

“The narrative that is circulating that I had a boyfriend whilst in the Love Island villa is categorically FALSE. My mum stayed at mine whilst I was in the villa to look after my dog and house,” she concluded.

The former reality TV star continued, “The closer I’ve gotten to meeting our baby girl has been an abundance of emotions from nerve wrecking to overwhelming and extremely exciting”.

“I’m so grateful for the support system I have because without it, I can see how even harder it would have been”, Chyna closed off.

While their bundle of joy isn’t due until autumn, the couple have already chosen a name for their baby girl.

The death has been announced of Sandra Bullock’s longtime partner, Bryan Randall.

The Proposal actress confirmed yesterday evening that Bryan had passed away on Saturday at the age of 57. Following his death, it was confirmed that the late photographer had been diagnosed with ALS.

"It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS," Bryan’s family shared in a statement yesterday.

"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request,” they continued.

Bryan’s family went on to thank the medical professionals who cared for him before his passing.

"We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours," they praised.

"At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan," the statement concluded, signed, "His Loving Family."

Miss Congeniality star Sandra first met Bryan in January 2015, when he was tasked with photographing her son Louis' birthday. The pair subsequently began to date, and confirmed their romance later that year.

Sandra – who has a blended family with her two children, Louis (13) and Laila (10), as well as Bryan’s daughter Skylar (29) – recently described Bryan as being the “love of her life”.

During an appearance on Red Table Talk in December 2021, the 59-year-old opened up about why she didn’t want to get married for a second time.

"I don't wanna say do it like I do it, but I don't need a paper to be a devoted partner and devoted mother. I don't need to be told to be ever present in the hardest of times. I don't need to be told to weather a storm with a good man,” she explained at the time.
