Sharing the clip to her 753K Instagram followers, the 32-year-old explained, “Hey guys, so I wrote this song a couple of weeks ago with my friend Toby”.
“And I wanted to show you because it makes the most sense now, lyrically, before the bubba comes because it's all about expecting and preparing”.
She also revealed, “I’ve been singing it at a couple of festivals recently and I finished it off actually in my dressing room before I went out on stage and I wanted to know what you guys think”.
As the song begins to play, videos of Pixie and Charles from special moments throughout her pregnancy are displayed.
From getting ultrasounds done to unveiling baby clothes and keepsakes they’ve bought for their baby so far, the emotional footage matches perfectly with the sweet song.
The lyrics of Lott’s song are, “I cleared out my room for you and painted all the walls. I took down the posters too, put up a picture of us”.
“All these seeds you've been sewing are growing and so am I. I’ve waited so long for you, guess good things take time”.
Pixie captioned the post, “For all the parents and parents to be’s”.
Many fans of the Mama Do rushed to the comments to share their love of the song.
One listener wrote, “Sounds great, so excited for you both, you will make great parents”.
“It's beautiful Pixie. Almost like a lullaby”, penned a second fan, while a third added, “Amazing song I like it”.
When announcing Pixie’s pregnancy with the world, she and Charles shared a joint Instagram post of them holding up ultrasound pictures with her blossoming baby bump on display.
They captioned the pregnancy reveal, “We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own”.

She continued, “What if Jamie doesn’t want me in 5 years time and he drives off into the distance leaving me at home with my cloths and baskets”.

A new study of 1,000 Irish workers reveals that 85% say they are more likely to consider a role in an organisation that supports a cause or charity and 81% feel is important that businesses encourage employees to engage in charitable activities.
The research was released today by Focus Ireland to launch the annual Shine A Light campaign. The annual sleep out takes place on October 13, and is proudly supported by Bord Gáis Energy. The campaign is calling on business leaders, companies, employees, and individuals to come together to kick start real change, by sleeping out against homelessness to help raise funds for Focus Ireland’s vital homeless services. According to the latest government figures, 1,804 families are in emergency accommodation as of June 2023. With the number of families becoming homeless increasing by 30% in the last year, there has never been a more important time to show your support.
The research also finds:
Workers believe that homelessness is the most pressing social issue at present.
64% say taking part in charitable activities at work, positively impacts job satisfaction.
1 in 5 feel their employer does not prioritise charitable activities.
Bord Gáis Energy has supported Focus Ireland since 2015 and 2023 marks the fifth year of its sponsorship of Shine A Light. To date the partnership between Focus Ireland and Bord Gáis Energy has supported over 7,000 families experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing their home. In 2022, Bord Gáis Energy extended their partnership with Focus Ireland until 2025.
Business leaders are invited to lead by example and join a sleep out event at one of the following locations: Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork, Croke Park, Dublin and King John’s Castle, Limerick. Their businesses can get involved in Shine A Light by signing up through the Focus Ireland website shinealight.focusireland.ie and organising a sleep out at their workplace.
Focus Ireland and Bord Gáis Energy want to make this the biggest sleep out yet and are encouraging business leaders across Ireland to take it a step further by challenging their peers, colleagues, or friends to sleep out as part of Shine A Light. To nominate, share a post on LinkedIn tagging the people you want to nominate and encourage them to accept the challenge to sleep out. Use the hashtag #ShineALight and tag @FocusIreland and @BordGáisEnergy to spread the word and inspire others to get involved.
This year, Bord Gáis Energy would like to begin the challenge by calling on their fellow industry leaders to sleep out against homelessness and take part in Shine A Light 2023. To register to take part in the sleepout or find more information, please visit shinealight.focusireland.ie
Amy Carr, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Focus Ireland: “With homelessness figures continuing to rise, Shine A Light continues to be our most important fundraising events of the year. The business community in Ireland has always shown strong support for our fundraising events and this year we want to show the impact that taking part in Shine A Light can have on your business. The research has shown that employees across the country are eager to get involved in charitable activities in the workplace and Shine A Light not only provides an opportunity to raise funds for Focus Ireland, but it can also raise company morale and provide a great team bonding experience for all involved”.
Susan Whyte, Director of Customer Operations at Bord Gáis Energy added: ‘We are proud to continue our support of Focus Ireland and this year’s Shine A Light fundraising campaign. The research carried out to launch this year’s campaign clearly shows the importance of businesses getting behind charitable initiatives and our own team will be hosting a sleepout in our offices this year to support the campaign. To date, a third of Bord Gáis Energy’s workforce have taken part in Shine A Light and we would urge other business leaders and companies to join us in this initiative. By coming together, we can help raise vital funds to help family homelessness in Ireland.”
About Focus Ireland
There are currently 12,600 people experiencing homelessness in Ireland, with 3,765 of them being children. The demand for Focus Ireland’s services is at an all-time high, and help is needed from the corporate community in order to continue to do their good work.
Due to support from the community last year, Shine A Light raised over €1.2 million in support of Focus Ireland’s vital services. None of this would have been possible without the support of business leaders and companies who took part and raised vital funds.
Moneycube.ie is today marking the run-up to Pensions Awareness Week 2023 (PAW23) with the announcement of a nationwide tour of events to highlight the importance of retirement planning.
Ahead of PAW23, which runs from September 25-29, the PAW team will cover the country for six weeks delivering seminars on topics such as how business owners can maximise their wealth through a pension, how individuals can keep their pension on track by maximising growth and minimise costs, and how companies can confidently outsource their financial wellness offering.
Attendees will also gain access to a range of online resources developed to aid those wishing to take action for their retirement but who lack the knowledge of where to start.
As part of the tour, the PAW team is also offering to review companies’ existing pension schemes in preparation for auto-enrolment coming into force next year. Companies can register for this review online [Review my employee benefits package – Pensions Awareness Week].
Proposed tour destinations over the next six weeks to include Dublin, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and back to Dublin for Pensions Awareness Week.
The roadshow is visiting companies face-to-face for the first time since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and comes following the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland survey earlier this year which revealed that 55% of those aged of 50 intended working beyond retirement with financial considerations emerging as a key theme for working in later years.
The events will also feature panel discussions involving leading industry bodies such as education specialists LIA, the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland, New Ireland, Standard Life, Zurich Life, the Department of Social Protection, and include former pensions ombudsman Paul Kenny. Celebrating their first year operating in the pensions market in Ireland, Royal London Ireland will also join a panel.
The 45-minute seminars begin at 1pm each day and tickets are free with online registration.
Now in its fifth year, Pensions Awareness Week will take place from September 25-29.
PAW23 is a hybrid event designed to raise awareness about retirement planning and to help people take charge of their long-term savings. Backed by a host of businesses, PAW23 is an initiative from Moneycube.ie, experts in the pensions industry.
The four-day event features sessions on Starting a Pension for Business Owners, Keeping Track of Your Pension, and Approaching Retirement. The final session, Company Pensions for SMEs, will see a representative of the Department of Social Protection offer attendees to take a practical look at how auto-enrolment is going to work alongside current occupational pension schemes.
Some of those participating in PAW23 include Royal London Ireland, Zurich Life, Davy, the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland, the Irish Association of Pension Funds, Allen Retirement and Finance, and the founders, Moneycube.ie.
Moneycube.ie is offering free 20-minute consultations on your savings and investments during PAW23. The free one-to-one consultations have been extended to cover the six week roadshow period and can be accessed online.
Pensions Awareness Week will also be offering individuals and companies the opportunity to win individual and executive pre-retirement courses facilitated by the Retirement Planning Council of Ireland at various locations across the country.
Moneycube.ie co-founders Ralph Benson & Feargal McKenna
Feargal McKenna, founder of PAW and Moneycube.ie’s Head of Corporate, says: “The planned introduction by government of auto-enrolment for pensions is going to put huge pressure on HR departments of SMEs. At Moneycube.ie, we want to ensure that these demands do not impact the quality of advice that employees and members receive, while also ensuring that businesses benefit from recent improvements in the cost of occupational pensions and new technology to minimise HR involvement.
“This is why Pensions Awareness Week has brought together industry experts, leading businesses and financial wellbeing organisations, for five years in a row. Our aim is to help people and businesses make informed decisions at the earliest stages of planning for retirement.
“Whether it’s the cost-of-living crisis, ups and downs in financial markets, or new pension options, it’s more important than ever that people and businesses in Ireland engage with pensions to secure their financial future. Pensions Awareness Week not only shows how but it facilitates the ability for people to take action.”
To register for any of the free events or for more information on PAW23, visit PensionsAwarenessWeek.ie.

The producers behind the hit BBC show have finally shared a first glimpse into its upcoming second series.
Filming for the second series began back in April, and now, audiences have been given a sneak peek of it.
Earlier today, the team behind The Tourist took to social media to share some brand-new stills of leads Jamie Dornan and Danielle Macdonald.

The Fall star Jamie is reprising his role as Elliot Stanley, a man searching for his true identity after obtaining memory loss. Meanwhile, Elliot is joined by Danielle’s character Helen Chambers, a police officer who encountered him while in the Outback.
This time, instead of taking place in the depths of the Australian wilderness, series two of The Tourist will be set in Ireland.
According to the BBC, Elliot and Helen will be “confronted by friends and foes as they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past,” and the pair will subsequently be “dragged into a longstanding family feud.”

The upcoming series will also introduce a rake of new characters, including Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill), Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré) and the intriguing McDonnell family.
“Full of shocking plot twists and the same off-beat comedy that made series one a success, The Tourist is set to return with even more quirky characters and intense action,” the BBC promises.
While a release date for The Tourist has yet to be announced, fans have already been sharing their excitement for the new episodes.
“So excited for this – loved the first series, and those two,” one viewer gushed.

“Can't wait for season 2 & the further adventures of Elliot and Helen,” another added.
During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in January, Jamie Dornan recalled his surprise about The Tourist’s success.
“There wasn’t meant to be [a second series], but then when that many people watch something… you know how the world works,” he teased. “So, there’s an appetite for it. [Creators] Jack and Harry Williams are very smart fellas, and they’ve figured out a way of continuing the story.”
Charlotte Crosby has shared a shocking announcement about her future with Geordie Shore
The reality star found fame when she joined the MTV show for its first series in 2011. Charlotte continued to be a regular cast member until 2016, and she then delighted fans when she chose to return to the show last year.
However, after welcoming daughter Alba Jean with her boyfriend Jake Ankers in October of last year, the 33-year-old has admitted that her attitude towards the show has changed.
Speaking during today’s episode of her Always On podcast, Charlotte opened up about a recent trip that the family-of-three took to Cyprus to film new episodes of Geordie Shore.
“I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time – we didn't not,” she continued, revealing that the experience went “so terribly wrong”.
Charlotte then went on to detail one incident that left her feeling upset during filming.
“There was a silly argument, over a high chair of all things, that escalated. And I just left. I just needed to get out of that environment,” she admitted.
“I'd never raised my voice in front of Alba ever, and I did in this argument, and I was like, 'Oh God, I feel absolutely terrible.' I've never gotten that angry and wound up,” she noted, adding that she felt “riddled with guilt” afterwards.
The mum-of-one later shared that she is too “anxious” to watch the upcoming episodes. Shockingly, she also doesn’t intend to appear on Geordie Shore again.
“For that reason, I definitely don't think I could be involved going forward again, which is so sad. It's not because of any particular person, and it's not because I wouldn't go back because I don't want to be with them,” she promised.
“I've never felt that sad and paranoid and anxious ever, and I don't want to feel like that again,” she insisted, before concluding that there has been “no big fall outs” and that “no one hates each other.”
Rebecca Adlington has opened up about suffering a miscarriage last summer.
The Olympic swimmer revealed she ‘felt responsible’ for her miscarriage even though she knew it wasn’t really her fault.
Reflecting back on the heartbreaking time, Rebecca spoke about her husband, Andy Parsons, and the impact the miscarriage had on him and their marriage.
Speaking to OK!, the 34-year-old admitted, “Even back in March, he [Andy] was like, ‘We would be having a baby right now’. But I don’t look back. I don’t like being one of those ‘what if’ people, as it clearly wasn’t meant to be. But Andy deals with things differently”.
“It’s about sharing that emotion with him and making sure we’re all OK. People only asked if I was OK, not Andy, so I think it’s really critical to acknowledge each other”.
“It definitely helped bring us closer because he was emotionally devastated by it too. Not just me”.
Rebecca then spoke about her daughter Summer seeing her upset a lot last summer, revealing, “Summer saw me cry quite a bit and asked why I was upset, but I didn’t divulge too much. I just said, ‘Mummy has been ill and we’re trying to process everything’. I’ll explain to her when she gets older”.
The swimming champion later explained how she ‘felt responsible’ for the pregnancy loss and spoke about the pressure she faced.
“I keep thinking about the pressure my body has been under to keep this little one, safe and sound and alive”.
“I felt really responsible for the miscarriage, even though it wasn’t my fault. I remember speaking to the doctors and they said there was nothing I could have done to prevent what happened”.
Adlington continued, “But you’ve got all this pressure to protect something – this delicate being, this precious, special, incredible baby – for nine months. And it just seemed crazy because I’ve done it twice before and been absolutely fine”.
It was August of last year when Rebecca was told the tragic news that her baby had no heartbeat during her 12 week scan.
Rebecca, who is mum to eight-year-old Summer and two-year-old Albie, battled with sepsis, a kidney infection and a high fever following her miscarriage.
