There is no better feeling than knowing your highlight is on fleek, and Penneys is clearly on a mission to help us achieve the look.

The high street bargain store has rolled out a new selection of icy, high intensity highlighters that look completely gorgeous.

A post shared by Stephanie Ojinta (@stephieojinta) on

Rather than just having an ice white finish, their range of colours include silver, gold and rose gold.

The shades are shimmery perfection, with names like Mermaid Glow, Rose Prosecco and Champagne.

And at €3.50 each, you can't really go wrong.

Ps…Highlighting Powder €3.50

Our makeup bags are screaming out for a new, affordable highlighter, and with festival season just around the corner, now is the time to experiment with different types of glow.

While the silver may not be perfect for day-to-day wear, it would look amazing layered under some festival glitter, while the rose gold would be divine with an on-trend cranberry eye.

As for the gold? Well all you need is a deep, glowy tan to pull that one off.

We'll see you in the queue, all three in hand.

There is an app for everything nowadays, from planning your weekly budget to scoring your next date, but would you trust an app with your fertility?

Natural Cycles promises to utilise science to advise you on when you are or are not fertile at various points in your monthly cycle.

The app promotes a non hormonal method of contraception, and judges whether you are fertile or not.

A post shared by Natural Cycles (@naturalcycles) on

So, how does it work? Well, you measure your temperature first thing in the morning before you get out of bed.

'This reading is an indirect measure of your hormone levels and the information the app needs to effectively analyse your cycle and calculate your red or green day.'

The app was devised by a couple called  Elina and Raoul Berglund for their own use, but they soon wanted the method to be accessible to all women.

A post shared by Natural Cycles (@naturalcycles) on

'The couple was unsatisfied with what they found and both to having been active for many years in research in physics, they decided to apply their knowledge in advanced mathematics and data analysis to develop a solution to meet their needs.'

'An algorithm that accurately detects and predicts ovulation and fertility.'

'In the beginning, they used the algorithm for their own purposes but soon realised that this was a huge unmet need amongst women and decided to develop a mobile app.'

The goal was to create a contraceptive option without any of the side effects of chemical methods.

As the app gets to know you body better through your temperature readings, it is more accurately able to predict your most fertile days in real time.

However, if you are someone who experiences changes during your cycle, or you're not the most regular, then this app may not be the best option.

A post shared by Natural Cycles (@naturalcycles) on

The app is definitely a welcome development for women seeking a hormone-free method of contraception.

However, it may be more suited for women who are actively trying to get pregnant, to know when they are most fertile to aid with family planning.

We seem to buy a pack of them every week but lose them almost instantly, and a good portion of our down time is spent wondering where they all end up.

Bobby pins, hair pins, or kirby grips, whatever you may call them, those little metal hair slides are the latest ingredient in the ideal eyeliner hack.

Achieving the perfect cat-eye flick with liquid eyeliner can be a tricky affair, and anything that makes the application easier is worth trying in our opinion.

A post shared by Malia (@beautynmalia) on

Instagram MUAs and YouTube beauty vloggers alike have been utilising the humble bobby pin in the pursuit of the purrfect cat-eye, and we think it's a pretty genius idea.

The only tools you need are your liquid eyeliner of choice and a large bobby pin, if you can find one.

Then all you have to do is paint the liner onto the open end of the bobby pin and stamp it on the outer corner of your eye.

This motion creates the winged tip, and because it's a stamp, you can recreate the exact same wing on the other eye.

Then all you have to do is fill in the lines, simple.

Now to find a few bobby pins to try this trick, since they like to disappear into the abyss whenever we stock up on them.

Another day, another weird and wonderful hair colour trend that is slowly taking over the Internet.

Social media's latest offering comes in the form of "Slime roots," and while they sound awful, they don't look half bad – if green hair is your thing.

So far this year we have seen geode hair, rose gold hair and rainbow roots – but slime green coloured hair is definitely the most outrageous trend yet.

When your new colors got you doin hair flips  #lyssdidmyhair #greenhair #slimehair #btconeshot_colormelt17 #btconeshot_vibrant17

A post shared by Connecticut Hairstylist (@lysseon) on

This new trend was popularised by Tasha Spencer at Bleach, the famous London salon specialising in the crazy hair hues, and has been all over social media ever since.

Now, of course the folks behind Bleach London are colour experts, so it's only natural that the "slime roots" look is the product of dreams – however we wouldn't recommend trying to do it at home.

Each strand looks glossy and vibrant rather than dry or overdone, which can be tricky to achieve when you're using vibrant dyes.

Now, while we admit that this colour trend looks pretty cool, we're almost 100 percent sure we wouldn't be brave enough to try it – except maybe around Halloween time.

That being said, we have major respect for anyone who has rocked slime roots.

We'll be sticking to balayage for now…

Just days after welcoming his new baby boy with wife Storm Keating, Ronan Keating has headed back to work.

On March 22 of this year, Cheryl Cole and former One Direction star welcomed their first child, confirming the news with an adorable Instagram post of Liam Payne holding the bub.

Ever since, we have been waiting with baited breath for the name of the adorable baby to be revealed – and we finally have answers.

The Internet has been freaking out over a new listing on a celebrity birthday site, Famous Birthdays, which lists their son being named Taylor Payne.

Has Cheryl and Liam Payne’s baby name been revealed? Fans certainly seem to think so

The listing itself also correctly details how the baby’s birthday is on March 22, and how Cheryl and Liam are the parents- seems legit.

Now, naturally we are sceptical about the legitimacy of this name, because how did this site manage to get a hold of the name, before anyone else?

In 2012 before Liam and Cheryl became an item, he told Hits Radio: "I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children."

Anyway, all scepticism aside, we actually really like the name, so if this baby is called Taylor – we are in full support of the decision.

Now we just wait for confirmation from the famous couple!

A march is taking place in Dublin this afternoon to highlight Ireland's housing crisis.

The May Day march will begin at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square at 2.00 p.m.

'This year the Dublin Council of Trade Unions are joining forces with the National Homeless and Housing Coalition to celebrate May Day,' said President of the Dublin Council of Trade Unions Pat Bolger.

'The annual May Day march in Dublin marks both the social advances won by working people and calls for support for the struggles being waged today for a better society.'

'Paramount among those struggles is the fight for decent housing for all.'

“The march will highlight the fact that housing is a right not a privilege and that public land should be used to build public housing and not for private profit.”

'Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Simon Coveney, has promised there will be no families in emergency accommodation in hotels by July 2017.'

'We intend to hold him to his word,' said SIPTU campaigns and Equality Organiser, Karan O Loughlin.

We've never seen a more talented brother and sister duo than Róisín O and Danny O'Reilly.

But, we suppose with a mum like Mary Black, they have great genes in them.

The solo artist and Corona's frontman joined together – in a barber shop of all places – to perform Fleetwood Mac's The Chain.

And they sound absolutely glorious together.

Have a listen and let us know what you think.

An email scam is doing the rounds, asking teens and young women to send on photos of themselves in bikinis.

Irish agencies, Assets and 1st Option, have both taken to social media to advise their followers that they will never scout for models in this way.

1st Option warned that the scam is targeting "children, young girls and teenagers."

As well as trying to get in contact via email, there also seems to be Snapchat accounts asking young women of the same thing.

A post shared by 1st Option MMP (@1stoptionmodels) on

"The individual is also contacting parents of young girls through websites," 1st Option's social media pages read.

"If you are approached by anyone, saying they are from 1st Option, please report them immediately.

"We have never, nor will we ever, sign up or give modeling contracts via social media or third party websites, without meeting in person first.

"We will never contact parents of children, young girls and teenagers for photographs unless they have contacted us first."

Hey guys! It's been brought to our attention by another Dublin Agency that someone has been setting up fake profiles and claiming to work for them and asking people to send pictures. Where we have gone through this several times before, this issue is becoming a common thing. If you are interested in any kind of modelling, please contact an Agency directly. Do NOT send any pictures over social media! A reputable agency will not ask you to do this. Social media gives people too easy access to contact users and unfortunately this is not always for a genuine reason. If someone asks you to send pictures, please ask what agency you work for, what's the address of the agency, a contact number and then contact the agency directly. More often than not, if they are asking you to send bikini pictures, they are not who they say they are. Please be careful and if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't! Thank you for taking the time to read x

A post shared by Assets Model Agency (@assetsmodels) on

Assests boss, Derek Daniels, told Independent.ie that anyone who has any suspicion at all should contact the agency directly.

"People can make an appointment with reputable agencies… we hold open days. We would never ask people to send pictures via Instagram or anything else," he said.

A post on the Assest's social media pages reads: "Social media has so many benefits but unfortunately some people use it for the wrong reasons.

"A person that you may think looks completely authentic may be the complete opposite."

Be safe and beware, ladies.
