As people across the country wake up this morning to the news that Donald Trump is the US president-elect, people across the globe have already been sharing their shock at the news.

It’s fair to say that this result is a shock, a major shock no matter what side of the election you stood on and there is nowhere that is more evident than on Twitter.

Here's the reaction from the public this morning:

Winning key swing states like Florida, North Carolina and Ohio, the outcome started to become clear around 4am this morning.

The Republican businessman defied the expectation of most of the pollsters as well as political analysts who last night going to bed would have told us Hillary Clinton had this in the bag.

With the public reacting emotionally, news has just broke that Hillary Clinton has now called Donald Trump to concede the election which means that it is now official; Donald Trump is now president-elect of the United States.

Brad Pitt has made his first public appearance since announcing his split with Angelina Jolie.

The actor was joined by his long-time BFF Julia Roberts as he hosted an event in LA.

Brad was there to support the first screening of Moonlight, his new movie which he executive produced alongside Julia.

The 52-year-old has worked alongside the actress on many project including Ocean's Eleven and The Mexican.

Fans of Brad on Twitter were commenting on his pictures, asking if he is sick because he look so lean. One fan tweeted, "He's dropped so much weight and aged about ten years," while another said, "He's gone so skinny he looks sick."

Earlier this week, Angelina's rep told People magazine that she reached an agreement with Brad, and she will have temporary child custody of their six children.

The entire plot of Game of Thrones Season Seven has reportedly been leaked online.

Fans of the hit show were left in turmoil today after a report by GOT community site Watchers on the Wall suggested that a Reddit leak of the plot may well be legitimate.

According to The Huffington Post, Reddit user awayforthelads shared Season Seven spoilers online three weeks ago, but it wasn’t until Watchers on the Wall confirmed some of the leaked details by comparing them to set photographs and source information that viewers began to take the leak seriously.

So what did this mysterious Reddit user predict?

If the leak’s claims are correct, Dany and Jon Snow hook up, the Wall falls, Arya kills Littlefinger, Jon does not find out who his real parents are, Jon’s real name is Aegon, Olenna acknowledges that she poisoned Joffrey, Cersei is pregnant, Targaryen recognises Jon and the White Walkers take control of one of Dany’s dragons.

Naturally, fans of the show have been left distraught by news of the leak.  Many have taken to Twitter to discuss their internal state of struggle.

You truly never know what is going on in another person’s life, and Stranger Things actress Shannon Purser has proven this in the most hard-hitting way.

The star, best known for playing the role of Barb on the hit Netflix show, has received an outpouring of support this week after revealing she is a survivor of self-harm.

The 20-year-old made the brave admission on Twitter, in a post featuring a photo of a razor blade.

“*TRIGGER WARNING* I haven’t self-harmed in years, but I kept this around, ‘just in case’. I forgot it was there, and now it’s in the trash,” she wrote.

She went on to share an empowering message to her 63K-strong Twitter following, tweeting: “Recovery is possible. Please don’t give up on yourself.”

Shannon won hearts all over the world with her portrayal of Barb this year, and so it wasn’t surprising to see messages of love and support come flooding in.

While hundreds lauded her bravery and honesty, others admitted that they were ‘so proud’ of her.

“I’m so happy for you, and proud. It’s not easy. I’ll be one year clean next month. I don’t even know where my ‘just in case’ is,” tweeted one fan.

Another added: “Good for you. Thanks for sharing your story with others.”

No doubt Shannon’s brave revelation will help many, many others around the world.

Last weekend, Hillary played her trump card by getting Beyoncé and Jay-Z out on stage at a rally, to pledge their voting allegiance to her and encourage their legion of fans to follow suit.

It was a pretty impressive coup for the Democratic candidate, and her rival Donald Trump reacted just as we would have expected: he pretended not to care.

In fact, addressing a crowd in North Carolina, Trump claimed that he doesn’t need the big guns to win this election – he’s already packing.

Unfortunately for Trump though, in his speech condemning Hils, he made one whopper slip-up: he pronounced Queen Beyoncé’s name WRONG.

For real? YES!

For those of us chilling over here in the Bey-hive, the inflection over the ‘e’ in Beyoncé comes as naturally to us as our ABCs, but it seems Trump needs a few lessons in pronunciation.

So, despite the fact that Trump INSISTED that he ‘really likes’ Bey and Jay, we’d like to see that claim backed-up with photographic evidence from his CD collection.

 

 

No matter what the result of the election may be, this amounts to one mortifying fail.

Jenni Farley delighted fans when she announced that she was expecting her second child during her wedding reception back in October last year.

And now the former Jersey Shore star has treated us all to a glimpse of baby Greyson Valor Mathews' christening.

The reality star and her husband, Roger Mathews, celebrated their son's baptism in New Jersey over the weekend, surrounded by family and friends.

Taking to Instagram to share sweet pictures of little Grey, Jenni, who is also mum to two-year-old Meilani, showed off the seriously adorable outfit her little boy wore for his special day.

“Greyson's baptism Meilani refused family photos lol too busy with her girlfriends thank you so much @apinard for this picture [sic],” the Snookie and JWoww star wrote under the family photo.

Two years ago, at the age of 27, Yvonne was one of the youngest and most successful TV presenters in her native Switzerland.

Life was great, but she was missing one thing: love.

Keen to investigate whether it would be easier to find love when you don’t have a career and the trappings of modern life holding you back, Yvonne decided to quit her job and travel the world in pursuit of the big ‘L’.

Two years later, Yvonne has just released a novel entitled Ein Jahr Fur Die Liebe (One Year For Love), documenting her adventure, which took her to 12 countries over the space of a year.

In an interview with VICE, Yvonne explained: “We’re very performance-oriented. Everything we do has to result in something. And since being in love doesn’t yield immediate results, we choose to spend our time on our bodies, careers, or social media profiles instead.”

“You only have time to meet someone between leaving the office and going to the gym,” she mused.

In the space of that year, Yvonne went on 50 dates, and while she’s tight-lipped over whether or not she actually found her ‘one’ (you need to read the book, duh!), she did learn some valuable lessons.

For Yvonne, the biggest surprise was that men – not just us ladies – are also ‘hustling to find love’ right now.

As for the greatest lesson she learned? Risk-taking is SO worth it.

If anyone has had a crash course in the downsides of fame, it's X Factor contestant Honey G.

In the spotlight only mere months, the aspiring rapper has had to deal with her fair share of criticism, and it looks like it's only served to make her more determined to smash it in the charts.

Countless viewers have been vocal in their disbelief over Honey G's progress in the ITV show, and now heavy-hitters in the music industry have added to the backlash against her.

When asked her opinion of the contestant, Lily Allen responded: "I find it offensive. So wrong on so many levels, I can’t even start to talk about it.”

Similarly, rapper Professor Green was far from impressed with her performances thus far, saying: "I just don’t think she’s a very credible representation."

Hitting back at the criticism, Honey G reminded her haters that she has an extensive background in music and has the support of two major global stars.

"Lily Allen said she finds it offensive but she needs to get her facts right. Professor Green said I’m taking the mickey out of rap music," Honey G confirmed.

"My mum is a pianist and I’ve followed in her footsteps. Her music is classical and mine is rap. I come from a musical background. People haven’t done their homework on me." she insisted.

Suggesting Professor Green might need a big ol' serving of humble pie, she added: "But then Snoop Dogg has talked about doing a record with me and 50 Cent has backed me."

Hmm, we wonder what they'll make of that…

While the rest of the British entertainment industry are discussing Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne, the couple themselves have refused to address rumours that they're expecting a child together.

But it sounds like Cheryl's BFF Kimberley Walsh (along with everyone else) is pretty much done with the silent treatment approach.

According to emerging reports, the former Girls Aloud star is concerned for her best friend's reputation if she continues to ignore the widespread speculation.

‘Kimberley and Cheryl have been spending a lot of time together recently, and she hates seeing her pal under attack," a source close to the stars told Closer.

Kimberley, who is currently expecting her second child, fears that the Crazy Stupid Love singer will experience serious backlash if she continues to turn a blind eye to the non-stop scrutiny.

"She’s worried Cheryl may face an angry reaction from fans who feel she’s keeping something from them," Kimberley added.

Kimberley, who has referred to Cheryl's 'news' in recent interviews, is keen to advise her friend that facing the reports head-on might be her best bet given the public interest in the reports.

Cheryl, however, is apparently far from convinced on this one.

"She’s told Cheryl she’ll have an easier life if she just addresses the rumours herself, from the heart. But Cheryl doesn’t want to feel forced to do anything," the insider added.

Looks like we're all going to continue playing the waiting game on this one…

It’s one of the top-rated comedies of recent years, and The Big Bang Theory has a legion of fans all over the world – which is why a LOT of people are going to be very excited today.

According to Deadline, the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, is working on a prequel show that will focus on the life and times of a young Sheldon Cooper.

Sheldon, which is set to air on CBS, will document the 12-year-old ‘child prodigy’s’ transformation into the hilarious, awkward, socially inept genius that proved to be such a hit with Big Bang viewers.

While there’s no word yet on whether Sheldon actor Jim Parsons will actually feature (probably not), seasoned fans will be delighted to hear that he will be joining Lorre behind the scenes as a show producer.

The show, which will be a single-camera feature (no live audience, sorry guys), has been likened to the classic Malcolm In the Middle in terms of its tone and brand of comedy.

While we’ll have to wait and see if Sheldon lives up to the glory of Big Bang, we have one word to sum up our excitement:
