Remember Emma Watson’s United Nations address back in September?

Well, while the rest of us were hugely impressed by the actress’s impassioned speech and unwavering poise, not everyone was particularly moved by the Harry Potter star’s call for gender equality.

17 year-old Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in the hit HBO show Game of Thrones, was decidedly unmoved, saying: “A lot of what Emma Watson spoke about, I just think ‘That doesn’t bother me.’”

Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, the young British star went on to say that: “I know things aren’t perfect for women in the U.K and America, but there are women in the rest of the world who have it far worse.”

Emma, who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, was promoting the HeForShe campaign when she called for people to address the misconceptions surrounding the word ‘feminism’ and highlighted various issues of inequality. The 24-year-old’s speech went on to garner worldwide praise.

Despite tweeting her support of the campaign at the time, Maisie has now said she doesn’t really identify with Emma’s ‘first-world feminism’.

We wonder if the 17-year-old will change her mind on the issue over time.

Well this really doesn’t sound good for Her Royal Highness, Queen Bey.

The 33-year-old global superstar is being sued by a woman who claims Bey used her voice on her 2013 hit single Drunk in Love.

Monika Miczura says her vocals, in a track she performed in 1995 called Bajba, Bajba Pelem, were used in Beyonce’s smash hit, but were digitally manipulated in an attempt to conceal the fact.

The Hungarian singer, also known as Mitsou, filed the law suit on December 12th and is seeking damages. She has also requested that the judge rule that the track cannot be played until her voice has been removed.

In addition to her apparent outrage that her voice was sampled and altered, Monika seems put out by the content of the final version of Drunk in Love, saying: “The sampling is used to evoke foreign eroticism alongside the sexually intense lyrics.”

Both Beyonce and her husband Jay Z feature on Drunk in Love and they performed the track together at the Grammy Awards in January.

Monika Miczura did not personally perform at the Grammy’s that night…

The frontman of one of the biggest bands in the world must have thought that home was the only place he wanted to be after suffering a terrifying accident last month.

U2 star Bono was spotted on Dublin’s fair streets at the weekend while recuperating from a bike accident which took place in New York in November.

The 54- year-old musician required surgery after the accident in Central Park and the frightening incident meant that the band had to cancel the week-long residency appearance they had scheduled for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

It looked like the dad-of-four was keen to avoid photographers in the capital on Saturday and attempted to conceal his injured arm beneath his cosy winter coat. His trademark sunglasses also disguised the shattered eye socket he suffered. Ouch.

His injuries, which also included a fractured little finger and a broken funny bone, meant that in addition to missing The Tonight Show, he was also forced to pull out of U2’s performance at a World Aid’s Day benefit concert in Time Square at the beginning on December.

We hope Bono finds a little comfort in his home city after a very stressful month!

It might not seem like a big deal to sneak a midnight snack or have a late dinner, but certain foods can really wreak havoc with your sleep and digestion if eaten in the evenings.

If you do get peckish late at night, try to choose your menu wisely so that you don't suffer the consequences later.

Here's our list of the worst culprits… and what to eat instead!

The worst

1. Alcohol
It might not be an actual food, but drinking alcohol late at night is a surefire way to give yourself indigestion and heartburn. Alcohol relaxes the valves which connect your stomach and oesophagus, leading to acid relfux – especially if you're eating food during or after a drinking session.

2. Cheese
Soft cheeses are high in fat, meaning they also have a relaxing effect on your stomach valves. Hello, heartburn. Harder cheeses like Parmesan and Swiss cheese are slightly better options but should still be eaten in moderation.

3. Citrus fruits
Tangy fruits are highly acidic which isn't a good choice for your stomach late at night. Orange juice and green apples are two of the worst culprits.

4. Red meat
Large amounts of protein can be difficult to digest late at night, meaning your body is working double time as you sleep.

The best

1. Bananas
Bananas are full of potassium and magnesium, two muscle relaxants that'll help you dose off more easily.

2. Turkey
Like red meat, turkey does contain protein, but if you are looking for something filling it's a far better option. Go for a few slices of lean turkey – a small portion that your digestive system can handle late at night.

3. Sweet potatoes
Another potassium-packed food, sweet potatoes are also full of complex carbs which help to promote better sleep.

4. Herbal tea
Certain herbals teas contain caffeine, but try chamomile, valerian or peppermint for a relaxing beverage that will calm the mind and body before bedtime.

Love them or hate them – these words and quotes made up our entire year.

From strange beginnings in viral videos, or celebs' wacky wording, it’s been a hell of a year for colloquial quips.

Here are our favourites:

1. Sorry not sorry
This one is great when you shouldn’t really have said what you just said, but your feelin’ feisty, so whatever.

2. Basic
An insulting term for girls who like Starbucks, nice nail art, Uggs, Yankee Candles and everything else nice in this life. #notbothered

3. Conscious uncoupling
We can thank Gwyneth Paltrow for this little gem. When she separated from Chris Martin earlier this year, this was the term she chose to use. They were SO over.

4. I can’t even
One that has been around for a few years admittedly, but has really come into its own this year. Use this when you are so overcome with a certain emotion that you just…can’t even.

5. Turn down for what
Following the release of a song by the song name from Lil Jon and DJ Snake, even Michelle Obama turned down for what. Except she made it about eating veg and changed it to 'turn up' and danced with a turnip…

6. Eyebrows on fleek
When your eyebrows are lookin’ good and on point, they’re on fleek. Made popular by this viral video:

7. Surfboardt
Beyoncé made this word famous after her song Drunk In Love.

8. Bae
A sweet term of endearment for your other half.

9. Bye Felicia
Someone you don’t really have much time for is known as ‘Felicia’… Bye Felicia appeared on  LOT of Vines this year. Here’s Nicole Richie explaining it perfectly:

10. Thirsty
Used perfectly by Taylor Swift on Twitter recently, ‘Thirsty’ means desperate. One NEVER wants to be described as ‘thirsty’.

You don’t mess with one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters and get away with it – that’s for sure! The youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister has hit back at a tweet that saw her older sister Kendall being branded a ‘hoe’.

An entertainment site posted a photo of Justin Bieber and Chris Brown, tweeting: “@justinbieber and @chrisbrown hang with their hoes @haileybaldwin @KendallJenner.”

It wasn’t long before Kylie hit back at the insulting term, tweeting: “how dare u! These r the classiest “hoes” I kno.” We love this – you tell em’ Kylie!

Meanwhile, Kylie wasn’t hanging with her sister, Hailey and the boys; she was delivering toys to a children’s hospital in L.A., and by her side was rumoured boyfriend Tyga.

Though she has denied the two are in a relationship, it seems as if they spend an awful lot of time together – could it be love?

Kelly Brook’s ex David McIntosh is in hot water with the ladies after he reportedly messed around Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace.

David was spotted holding Aisleyne’s hand on a recent night out, prompting speculation that the couple were dating, but the following night he was seen on the arm on his former fiancée, Kelly Brook. Hmm…

Now, Aisleyne’s BFF Nicola McLean has gotten involved and branded him a d***. A rep for Nicola told The Mirror that she is angry at the way her friend has been treated by David: “Nicola really likes Kelly and thinks David is a d*** for how he treated Kelly and for how he lied to Aisleyne and led her on. Nicole thinks Kelly is way too good for David and she could have any guy she wanted, she one of the hottest women in the world. David should be grateful he even has Kelly’s phone number, let alone get to date her.”

Wow, we get it – Nicole REALLY likes Kelly. Isn’t she meant to be Aisleyne’s best friend?!

Nicola also took to Twitter to blast David, writing: "I will never work men out! #d***."

Would you like to help raise €20,000 for the National Children’s Hospital by posting one simple tweet?

SPAR has unveiled a Twitter Christmas Tree, which will be ‘powered’ by tweets using the #underthetree hashtag this festive season.

Each #underthetree tweet will light one of the tree’s 1,600 bulbs; once the tree has been completely lit, SPAR will make its generous donation to the National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght.

The festive initiative marks the launch of the retailer’s official charity partnership with the National Children’s Hospital. SPAR is aiming to raise €200,000 through further campaigns to cover essential facility upgrades and provide important equipment that the hospital badly needs.

SPAR’s Twitter Tree will be on display above SPAR Ranelagh from the 4th to 30th of December and is supported by Leinster Rugby’s Mike McCarthy.

If you can’t pop down to see it in person, you can also watch your tweets light up the giant Twitter tree here through a live camera feed which updates every minute.
