When Nina Dobrev quit The Vampire Diaries, fans were totally shocked and wondered how the show would go on without her.

Season 8 has been confirmed as the final run for the popular show, and it's followers have been wondering if Nina will made a comeback for the finale episode.

The actress left TVD after season 6, but she wasn't killed off. Elena, instead, was placed in a spell-induced coma and is supposed to remain unconscious until her BFF Bonnie dies.

Complicated, we know.

However, now rumour has it that Kristen Stewart will take on Elena's part.

According to Hollywood Gossip, Elena will be able to body-jump into another character and that character is Kristen.

Saying that though, TVD's creator Julie Plec said previously that Nina would be interested in returning for the finale episode… so why make things even more complicated?

Just bring back the original!

Actress Nina Dobrev no doubt had a sore head at the Golden Globes after party on Sunday night, after spending all of Saturday evening at a party of her own – for her 27th birthday.

The Vampire Diaries star took to Instagram today to share some snaps from what looks like a downright amazing fancy dress bash.

Just take a look at her heart-eyed cat emoji costume if you don't believe us:

"Thank you to all of my amazing friends for coming out to my Emoji Themed Birthday Party at @aventinehollywood on Saturday," the birthday girl wrote alongside a snap of her dancing with a sparker-lit cake.

"I know it was a lot to ask, making it costume mandatory, and they not only did it, everyone showed up dressed to impress and went all out!"

In true wild Hollywood style, there was even an impromptu limbo session:

"Here's to celebrating 27 years, but NEVER growing up! #StayYoungForever," the actress captioned her birthday snaps.

We'll take an invite to her 28th birthday, please.

It might be time for Ian Somerhalder to change his Twitter password. 

The Vampire Diaries actor's Twitter account was hacked yesterday and the hacker embarrassingly confessed Ian's love for former flame Nina Dobrev.

Awkward! We're not sure Ian's new wife, Nikki would be too happy about that. 

The man (or woman) tweeted for about 20 minutes before writing, "I am so sorry," and deleting the tweets. 

When the hacker first revealed that he seized the account, he or she asked followers, "who even is ian somerhalder."

The illegal computer operator then went on to praise the US TV show, Mr. Robot – which coincidentally (or not) is about a hacker. 

The person in question then asked Ian's fans to get them get in contact with the TV star.

They later idenified themself as @clou9nin3, but it was deactivated earlier today.

Ian Somerhalder has said that our obsession with technology has become something along the lines of an illness.

The Vampire Diaries actor, and advocate spoke up about a major issue with people becoming too consumed with the modern tech industry.

The actor devotes much of his time, when he’s not channelling his very smoldering vampire counterpart, advocating for various humanitarian, environmental and animal rights projects through his Ian Somerhalder Foundation.

CNET magazine recently asked the actor to weigh in on some of the latest changes to the tech world and he had some interesting opinions to share.

He said that we need to be cautious of how much we allow technology to influence our lives and our behaviour.

“When you look down at your phone and it says 3G, and you say, ’Oh, my God, it’s just 3G,’ that is a disease. That is a 21st-century disease.”

We think he makes a fair point; have you ever had to navigate a horde of pedestrians with eyes glued to screens. If you’re rushing for the last bus than you know the frustration. Your Instagram post featuring your salad and only your salad can wait five minutes.

Ian added: “That is not a good thing that we get so impatient. That trickles down to how impatient we are with our animals, with our kids, with our teachers, with people in traffic.”

While he admitted “I live for teach,” he also reasons that we need to “slow down,” and stop trying to accomplish everything at once.

He speaks from experience: “I was texting with my management about something and I was really frustrated and in a rush, and I walked into a pole and whacked my head.”

Candice Accola's family is about to get bigger!

Candice, who plays Caroline Forbes on the hit TV show The Vampire Diaries, announced she is pregnant in the best way possible. 

The actress shared the beautiful snap of herself over the weekend. In the picture she is surrounded by husband, Joe King and her two step-daughters Ava and Elise.

The whole group point to Candice's stomach, which is labelled 'BABY' on a white t-shirt. 

"Sometimes a Saturday is best spent painting t-shirts and taking an awesome family photo," she captioned the pic. "Happy Monday everybody! #ThatAintNoBurritoinMyBelly Thank you to our friend @softspiritstrong for coming over and snapping this sweet pic."

Joe, who is part of the band The Fray, wore a matching white T-shirt that had "SUPERDAD" written on it.

The singer and actress tied the knot just over a year ago and this will be their first child together.

This is Candice's first marriage and baby, but it's King's second marriage and the new addition will be his third child.

We can't wait to see how cute the baby is!

Fans of The Vampire Diaries have been left devastated after star Nina Dobrev announced she is quitting the show.

Having starred in the popular TV show since 2009, Nina took her fans by surprise with an Instagram post this morning explaining her decision to leave the show and declaring her love for the cast and crew.

Nina previously dated her co-star Ian Somerhalder for two years between 2011 and 2013 before they split. Ian is now engaged to actress Nikki Reed.

“Dearest TVD Family,
I've just spent the most beautiful weekend on Lake Lanier in Georgia with my own TVD Family, the cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries. I want to be the first to tell you that it wasn't just a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party. I always knew I wanted Elena's story to be a six season adventure, and within those six years I got the journey of a lifetime. I was a human, a vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a doppelganger pretending to be human, a human pretending to be a doppelganger. I got kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed, body-snatched, was dead and undead, and there's still so much more to come before the season finale in May. Elena fell in love not once, but twice, with two epic soulmates, and I myself made some of the best friends I'll ever know and built an extended family I will love forever. There is bad news for fans of The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham as it has been reported that she has split from her fiance and partner of six years, Cottrell Guidry. 

Back in January the actress told reporters that all of her wedding plans had been finalised and that she would be a married woman “any day now”.

However, it is clear things went wrong somewhere along the way as Kat was spotted attending Rihanna’s Diamond Ball this weekend alone as well as no longer wearing her engagement ring. When asked about her wedding plans, something she had often been open to discussing, E! report that she simply said she was only thinking about having fun at the ball. 

Sources close to the couple said that the break-up happened a while ago: “There wasn’t any drama and they are still friends.”

The couple began dating back in 2008 and announced they had gotten engaged in October 2013.

The Vampire Diaries actress, Candice Accola is officially a married woman after she tied the knot to The Fray guitarist, Joe King on Saturday!

The couple, who posed for breathtaking photos for their big day, were married in the romantic city of New Orleans and we have to say, it looks like they had an incredible day!

Candice, who stars as Caroline in the hit show The Vampire Diaries, wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown with a long veil and matching umbrella. 

That's right – an umbrella! Now there's a thought for the perfect Irish wedding!

Their wedding party were caught on a passer-by’s Instagram video who captioned the scene perfectly: “How to get married in New Orleans. #NOLA #Wedding.”

They fell in love on set, and now The Vampire Diaries stars, Joseph Morgan and Persia White have said “I do”!

The couple were engaged for two months before tying the knot in front of 26 guests in Jamaica. 

Persia spoke about the ceremony with delight, saying: “It had a very rustic feel to it. There was nothing about it that was overwhelming or very huge or fabulous in that way. We tried to keep everything really intimate and beautiful and sort of get along with nature.”

This wedding certainly sounded unlike many other celebrity weddings!

Twilight star, Nikki Reed, was spotted cosying up to Ian Somerhalder recently, sparking speculation that the two are officially an item.

Nikki’s divorce from Paul McDonald was finalised in May and it looks like the actress may have a new man on the scene, and a hot one at that!

Nikki is said to be close friends with Ian’s ex and The Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev – let’s hope things don’t get awkward!

Shannon Guess Richardson, who starred in The Vampire Diaries as well as opposite Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side, has been jailed for trying to poison Barack Obama.

The actress is accused of sending letters laced with ricin to both the President of the United States and the then mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg, last June.

The letter to Obama read: “You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face.”

She has now received a sentence of 18 years in prison.

She has since stated: “I never intended for anybody to be hurt. I’m not a bad person. I don’t have it in me to hurt anyone.”

We’re really sad to hear that The Vampire Diaries actor, Michael Trevino is no longer dating long-term girlfriend and Glee star, Jenna Ushkowitz.

The couple have been dating for three years. However, Jenna who plays Tina in Glee revealed recently that she and Michael are no longer together.

“No, we’re not together anymore.”

But it seems that the couple are still good friends, as Jenna went on to say that relationship with Michael is “wonderful”.
