Could Damon be killed off The Vampire Diaries?

The answer is yes, if Ian Somerhalder has anything to do with it!

The actor was speaking to E! when he said: “When Damon dies, it is the dopest episode.”

Wait, what? Dies?!

Damon continued on to say that the ending is going to be pretty intense: “The ending, I think, is really going to throw people. It definitely involves Damon in a really cool way. There is some very cool stuff with Damon, Elena, Bonnie … stuff you just didn’t see … It is definitely a cliffhanger.”

We just really, really hope he was joking about that dying part…

The latest episode of The Vampire Diaries aired in America began with a touching tribute to crew member Sarah Jones.

Sarah, a 27-year-old camera assistant, died on the set of Midnight Rider last week after being hit by a train while shooting on the tracks

A photograph of Sarah appeared at the start of last night’s episode as music from the Titanic soundtrack played and the following message was displayed:

“This memorial is dedicated to Sarah Jones who tragically lost her life. The film industry will forever mourn her death. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. IN LOVING MEMORY OF SARAH JONES. 1986-2014.”

Earlier in the day, Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder tweeted his sadness at Sarah’s death.
