We all like to believe that slut-shaming is a thing of the past.

However, an influencer alleged that a Louvre guard shamed her outfit choice and refused her entry into the Parisian landmark.

Influencer, Newsha Syeh was wearing a black, low cut dress.

On Instagram, she captioned the picture of herself in the black dressed: "Picasso would have loved my outfit."

But she detailed her exchange with a guard on her Instagram stories – and what she alleged is disgusting.

"He made the most disgusting and horrible gestures and facial expressions, swore at me to cover up, with hate-filled eyes stopped me from entering.

"I was heartbroken, because I thought the Louvre enforced this archaic rule. Turns out…it does not," she wrote.

And Newsha is correct – the Louvre doesn't have a dress code.

The guard felt like it was their responsibility to slut shame her outfit – although it's not in their job description.

Hope wasn't all lost for the influencer's dream of entering the museum – she snapped herself in the Louvre, but this time she was wearing a different outfit.

Now, I have lived and worked in France and I understand that French people usually brand low cut or short items of clothing as "vulgar" – but refusing her entry from the museum is absolutely not on.

You'd think in the fashion capital of the world, you could pull off any type of style – but Newsha's experience proves that archaic restrictions on women's fashion are still alive and well.

Stuck for how to style that swimsuit?

If you're not already following the stunning and sartorially sensational Emma Zoey Roche, then we have to say – you're missing out.

Emma is one of my all time favourite style inspirations, with her knack for creating perfectly on-trend while simultaneously edgy ensembles.

While her outfit posts get the like from me on the regular, it's her swimsuit styling that's been catching my eye time and time again over on the 'gram right now.

Holiday outfit planning can be a bit of a nightmare, especially if you're planning on hitting some pool parties or beach clubs while you're away.

However, Emma is the absolute poster girl for how to put together hot weather attire the right way.

While sunning herself on holidays, Emma is keeping up with her own reputation for stylish wardrobe selections.

From the unexpected addition of a white crochet jumper and gold belt to a leopard print swimsuit, to the styling of the perfect floral kimono teamed with lashings of gold jewellery, I'm taking notes for my own holidays.

Unlike some fashion gals, who like to keep their style secret cards close to their well-accessoriesd chests, Emma is all about letting her 128k followers know exactly where she nabbed her best style finds.

And if she can't find the exact link for the item she bought, or if it's out of stock thanks to her influence, she'll post up the closets alternative. Sound and stylish AF.

If you're heading away and need some suitcase packing inspo, make sure you go and giver her a follow.

When she's not inspiring us to hit the gym and eat right, Niamh Cullen is posing up a storm in  a series of stunning outfits over on Instagram.

With a more eclectic style than most, Niamh never fails to pull off an outfit with flair – and her holiday wardrobe is no different.

While sunning it up in Spain this week, Niamh posted a pic outside the famous Sagrada Família, but we were more intrigued by her outfit than the historical church site.

Keeping things cute, the hair guru turned influencer opted for a splash of yellow in her floral print dress.

The dress features a statement tie back and ruffled hem, ideal for a holiday night out or scenic exploring.

Hailing from Vavavoom.ie, it definitely wont break the bank, coming in at €34.99.

Niamh styled hers with a straw panama hat from Zara and a dollop of Iconic Bronze tan.

We can see this dress being flung in our suitcase and dressed up with midi heels for a night out, or with white runners and a denim jacket for day time.

Don't panic if you're off on vacay soon, Vavavoom does next day delivery.

Louise Cooney never fails to slay in the style department, but one of her most recent looks caught our eye.

Her gal pal Aideen Murphy uploaded a snap of Louise onto Louise's Instagram and penned the caption, showing the blogger wearing a divine, summery, Wimbeldon-worthy white blazer dress with a pleated hem.

Sweet, short and summery, Aideen revealed in the caption that the micro-mini was from Zara, and right away we we're adding to cart.

The dress comes in at €49.95, not too shabby for a wear-all-season piece.

However, we like to get our money's worth out of our wardrobe, so as well as wearing it a la Louise with plain black heels, we're brainstorming other ways to don this dress.

First up, we'll be adding a black turtleneck, long-sleeved t-shirt underneath and knee high, heeled boots for a sophisticated night out look, complete with big gold hoop earrings.

Alternatively, we'd go for statement gold heels and a denim jacket with lashings of tan and a beaded, colourful clutch.

To take this look into day time, we'd wear the waistcoat dress open over a white bodysuit and blue jeans, or closed over black jeans and boots.

We'd also wear it as a dress with a pair of statement runners, a bomber jacket and a canvas tote for an edgier, street wear inspired style.
