The Duchess of Sussex has opened up about being a working mum during a royal engagement in South Africa.

Meghan, who welcomed her son, Archie on May 6 has been adjusting to life as a new mum, but her royal status doesn’t stop her from experiencing the same hurdles many of us face on this journey.

Meghan just returned to work this September after three months of maternity leave.

During their conversation, Meghan said that juggling motherhood and work life can be very tricky.

Emily Andrews reported, “We're only 5 months in right now. Being a working mum & travelling as well with a baby, it's a lot, but it's all so exciting.

“There are days when it’s a lot to juggle but then you meet someone, have an impact on them & it’s so rewarding,” the mum gushed.

Baby Archie made his first appearance on the Sussex royal tour this morning and he looked as cute as pie.

The baby boy looked far too cute as his parents introduced him to the Archbishop. Fans couldn’t help but point out the resemblance between Archie and his dad. He looks just like Harry did as a baby but with Meghan’s beautiful brown eyes.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are notoriously private about their personal lives. The new parents want to ensure that their son, Archie, lives a relatively normal life, away from the cameras.

Meghan and Harry have shared a handful of photos of their son, including a new one yesterday to mark Harry’s 35th birthday, but they often remain tight lipped about their darling boy.

During a recent royal engagement, Prince Harry gave a rare update on his baby boy.

The dad was visiting the Rugby Football Union All Schools program at Lealands High School in Luton when he gushed about his son.

According to People, a member of the public asked, “Prince Harry. How is everything going with Archie?”

Prince Harry replied, “He’s really well, thank you and he is getting so big.”

The Duke celebrated his 35th birthday on Sunday, September 15. In honour of Harry’s special day, Meghan shared a collage of personal photos to their Instagram account.

The new mum penned the sweetest birthday message alongside the photo, “Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day. You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday!”

Our heart can’t cope with all of this cuteness.

Speaking about the inspiration behind this project, Meghan shared, “Since moving to the UK, it has been deeply important to me to meet with communities and organisations on the ground doing meaningful work and to try to do whatever I can to help them amplify their impact.

"It was just last September that we launched the ‘Together’ cookbook with the women of the Hubb Kitchen in Grenfell. Today, a year later, I am excited to celebrate the launch of another initiative of women supporting women, and communities working together for the greater good.

“Thank you to the four brands who came together in supporting Smart Works on this special project – placing purpose over profit and community over competition. In convening several companies rather than one, we’ve demonstrated how we can work collectively to empower each other – another layer to this communal success story, that I am so proud to be a part of,” she added.

For every item bought during the sale of the collection, one will be donated to Smart Works.

Jameela Jamil has stepped in to defend Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle against the cruel treatment by the British press regarding her usage of private planes to go on holiday last week.

Celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Pink, Elton John, and Meghan's best friend, Jessica Mulroney, have all blasted the media for degrading the Duchess consistently and unfairly.

The Good Place actress and activist Jameela Jamil has now had her say, pointing out that the reason why the royals take private planes is because of their assassination risk.

"Ugh. Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she’s black, and him for marrying a black woman and be done with it God dammit," she wrote on Twitter.

"Your bullying is so embarrassing and obvious. You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up.

"I will never forget reading an English sh*t rag, writing the words, “Meghan’s exotic DNA shall certainly THICKEN the royal blue blood line…” (bangs head against table and throws up in own mouth.)" Jamil added.

"I too used to not understand that in this day and age there’s still such a distinct hatred/disrespect towards black women in the world, because I grew up sheltered and without personally feeling any negative way towards any race. But we have to open our eyes. It so prevalent," she tweeted.

"ALSO, it’s not safe for us to be on the same planes as royals or presidents you absolute muppets. They are prime targets for kidnap and sometimes assassination. It’s in the interest of us civilians to not be endangered by proximity to people in such powerful positions."

The iWeigh founder and activist was featured as part of Meghan Markle's Vogue UK September issue, entitled 'Faces for Change'.

Hopefully the media and general public realise the inequality which Prince Harry's wife faces as a result of her race, and checks their privilege.

Fair play to Jameela for saying it like it is.

Princess Eugenie had a fairytale wedding last October when she married Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. It was a day full of love and celebration, but the couple had barely walked down the aisle when baby chatter started.

Rumours and speculation about when Eugenie will start a family have been following the pair around since their wedding day.

Both the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge have been hit with similar speculation to Eugenie. Meghan had only just given birth to baby Archie when headlines about when she’ll have her second child were splashed across tabloids.

We may think saying things like, ‘When will we hear the pitter patter of tiny feet?’ is harmless but we shouldn’t presume a newly married woman wants or can have children. They may be struggling with fertility issues or they simply may not want to be a mum.

Princess Eugenie has been heckled with these questions since she married Jack and now her mum, Sarah Ferguson has hit back at the rumours.

The royal couple have ignored the speculation, which unfortunately only escalated the rumours, until now.

A video of Sarah giving a speech was uploaded to Twitter and the mum swiftly put the rumours to bed.

“No, she's not pregnant!” she quipped.

The newspapers have been full of rumours about her daughter which prompted the Duchess of York to address the journalists at the event.

“I'm just going through what the journalists say and they're all here, so I just thought I'd fill it in,” she said.

We need to stop speculating and remember that regardless of their royal titles and lavish weddings, the royals may face fertility issues and pregnancy struggles like thousands of women around the world.

However, unlike Princess Eugenie we don’t have to read about our family plans in every national newspaper or listen to the public speculate when our tummy looks a little bigger than usual.

The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her first Mother’s Day on Sunday. America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan and countries across Europe celebrated Mother’s Day on May 12 this year.

In honour of her first Mother’s Day, Meghan shared an intimate photo of her baby boy Archie.

She posted a photo of her holding his tiny feet on Instagram and fans noticed a touching nod to Princess Diana, her late mother-in-law, in the background of the photo.

In the background of the photo, which is believed to have been taken in the grounds of Frogmore Cottage, there are purple flowers.

It is understood that they are forget-me-not flowers, which were Diana’s favourite.

Meghan penned a heartfelt note, where she remembered mums who are no longer with us.

The Duchess wrote: "Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.

Meghan never met Princess Diana but Prince Harry has previously shared that his mum would have adored Meghan.

The new dad said they would have been as thick as thieves if she was still here today.

There’s no doubt Harry and Meghan will ensure that baby Archie knows all about his late-grandmother and the incredible legacy she left behind.
