Today, Apple released security updates for all its most popular devices, and it would be a pretty good idea to go update them ASAP.

While Apple releases updates to its operating systems with small fixes on the regular, the latest update might be a little more important.

Wired discovered that each operating system’s fixes in the latest update makes it harder for hackers to “execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges,” meaning that it will provide greater protection from hackers trying to take control of certain operating systems.

“It can add files, delete files, or execute any actions,” JP Taggart, senior security researcher at Malwarebytes told Wired

“Want to record conversations and forward them to someone else? It can do that. Want to instal additional malicious software? It can do that."

"Want to uninstall programmes on the affected phone? It can do that. Want to hide these actions, programmes and files from the user? It can do that too.”

The operating updates are not exclusive to the iPhone, but also the iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple computers.

The new update covers 13 security loopholes in the Apple software, including new protection to prevent malicious web pop-ups.

We're heading to general settings RIGHT NOW.

Is there anything that Will.i.am cannot turn his hand to?

It would seems that the singer has turned tech entrepreneur on us, after unveiling his new ‘smart cuff’, the Puls.

The Black Eyed Peas star is obviously keen to give Apple a run for their money, creating this fancy new accessory that not only tells the time, but also makes phone calls and access online services.

The star, who created the snazzy new device with his electronics company i.am+, was at pains to emphasise that the Puls is most certainly “not a watch” during its live launch show in San Francisco.

Indeed, not only can the cuff do all of the amazing things mentioned above, but it can also monitor fitness, play music and allow wearers to interact on social media.

While we have no clue how long the battery in Will’s super-duper cuff lasts for, the models presented on stage came out wearing special coats that can actually charge the device using battery packs.

Few details have been released regarding pricing and when the Puls will be going on sale, but one all-important criteria has been unveiled – the colours! The Puls will be available in a range of shades including black, white, pink and blue.

And for those who want to push the boat out, flashy solid-gold and diamond-encrusted versions will also be available.

Since the launch, Will has taken to Twitter to simply say: “Today was awesome.”

We’d believe it, Will!

The internet went into overdrive yesterday when Apple publicly revealed the new iPhone 6, due to be released on September 19 in the USA, What really caught our attention, though, was the announcement that a new Apple Watch will go on sale early next year.

In true Apple style, the designs are sleek and minimalist, but we were pleasantly surprised at how stylish some of the varieties were.

Aside from lots of high tech chrome and sporty rubber straps, the designers also revealed a "Watch Edition" line, with really sleek leather straps and gold or rose gold faces. Gorgeous! The gold is apparently 18-karat, so it won't come cheap. Prices for the basic version (no gold involved) start at $349, or €270. But just in case we win the Lotto between now and early 2015, here's what we'll be buying:

The watch is controlled using a "digital crown" – a button on the side of the watch face.

So what can this watch do? Well, it can tell time, obviously – to within 50 milliseconds. Fancy. It can also monitor your daily activity and work out your optimal levels of exercise. And you'll be able to stay in touch with alerts, notifications, voice messaging capabilities and a new app called "Real Touch" which allows you to send a virtual touch via your wrist.

Sounds cool – but we'll need to start saving ASAP!
