Queues built from 4am yesterday morning as #JoyUnboxed was spread throughout Cork City centre at the official opening of the first Krispy Kreme shop in the south of Ireland. Fans of the made fresh daily doughnuts were treated to a hole-some morning of fun as people came from all across the county, queuing for the iconic delicious doughnuts on St. Patrick Street.

Krispy Kreme superfan’s the McCabe Family from Midleton were on hand to officially open the shop. Aidan (11) and Anna (14) McCabe cut the ceremonial ribbon that marked the official as parents Kevin and Lindsay proudly watched.

Aidan McCabe said, “Krispy Kreme has been part of our family for our whole lives. For my second birthday my birthday cake was made from Krispy Kreme doughnuts because they are my absolute favourite.”

Kevin McCabe said, “We moved to Ireland from America almost two years ago as a family adventure and it’s been amazing, but one of the things we’ve really missed were Krispy Kreme doughnuts. We’re so excited a shop has now opened here because it was the one thing Cork was missing for us.”

Parsa Tahir, from Cork City was first in the queue and received €150 voucher to keep topped up with the made fresh daily treat, queuing from 4am ahead of almost 70 other fans. Second and third in the queue were Leonard Coughlan and Anthony Desmond who received €100 and €50. The first 50 customers through the door also received free exclusive Krispy Kreme Cork merchandise to take away with them.

Parsa Tahir said "I’m really excited to be first in the queue, I had some delicious Krispy Kreme doughnuts during sampling here in Cork a few weeks ago and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some more. I’m looking forward to sharing with my family and friends and I’m delighted Krispy Kreme has come to Cork.”

Excitement and energy remained high throughout the day with exhilarating performances from modern Irish Dance group ‘Prodijig’.

Commenting on the Cork opening, Ireland Country Manager Declan Foley said, “We are thrilled to open our doors in Cork today, as we continue to spread the joy of our made fresh daily doughnuts just one month after Galway’s opening. It is great to now be in the south of Ireland with our 14th store opening. We are delighted to see people who have travelled across the county to be here this morning and soak up the atmosphere.”

The newest location will serve handcrafted Krispy Kreme favourites. Customers to Krispy Kreme Cork can also enjoy the much-loved melt in the mouth Original Glazed.

Opening hours:

Monday – Saturday: 09.00 – 21.00

Sunday: 9.30 – 19.00

Mrs Hinch has announced a heartbreaking animal loss on Hinch Farm.

The cleaning guru, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, is well known for rescuing animals. As well as being the proud owner of a cocker spaniel named Henry, the 33-year-old also keeps alpacas and chickens at her home.

However, earlier today, Sophie shared the sad news that she and her family have tragically lost one of their pets.

“I feel so sad and shed tears,” she began her lengthy statement to her 4.7M Instagram followers. “We noticed recently that one of our chickens, Pam, hadn’t been as interested in joining in with Peggy or Pat, as she once was.”

Sophie went on to explain that the chicken wasn’t leaving her nesting box, but was otherwise acting normal. “I decided to keep a close eye on her. I’m so sad to say that she suddenly passed away,” she admitted.

The mum-of-two continued by explaining how much her pets mean to her. “I know this may sound so silly because to some she’s ‘just a chicken’, but we rescued Peggy, Pat and Pam when they were weak, had hardly any feathers and were going to be slaughtered,” she recalled.

The influencer also noted how much her two sons – Ronnie (3) and Lennie (1) – care for the animals. “We look after them and love them as our pets. So yes, I’ve been very upset, especially for the boys who love to run over to their coop every morning and open the hatch, counting them as they walk down their little steps 1 by 1. I feel so sad,” she wrote.

“Obviously when you rescue any animal, whilst it’s a beautiful and rewarding thing to do, it also comes with risks,” Sophie continued, explaining that there’s often little information known about the pet.

“We did that. And I will continue to do so by rescuing more hens this year. I know I need to toughen up because it’s inevitable this will happen again,” she confessed, before writing one final message to Pam.

“You will be missed… my little featheree xx,” she signed off.

The 28-year-old found romance with 27-year-old Faye during the 2021 series of Love Island. However, after 18 months of dating, the pair announced their separation in February.

Since their split, Faye has been vocal about her heartbreak, whereas Teddy had chosen to remain rather private. However, the reality star has now decided to break his silence.

“I have a voice again. I feel like I'm coming out of my shell again and going to events and going out more. Which is really nice,” he confessed.

Teddy then went on to disagree with some of Faye’s actions.

“She talks about me in the press and we agreed not to but I don't speak about her,” he explained.

“I've never been through a public break up before so it's difficult seeing it everywhere and seeing things she posts and stuff online,” he continued.

Teddy also expressed his upset at losing contact with golden retriever Bonnie, who the pair adopted together in September of last year. “She is posting the dog which is really hard because we shared it. I have a snoop every so often to see the dog, she's grown so much since I left in January,” he admitted.

After a few weeks of speculation, Faye chose to confirm her split with Teddy in February by sharing a snap of dog Bonnie.

“I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways,” she penned at the time.

In a recent interview with OK!, Faye described how she and Teddy got “moulded together” during their time on Love Island.

"We had different dreams and ambitions and I had to respect Teddy’s. We were so similar and we got on so well – he’ll forever have a very special place in my heart – and it feels like I’m grieving someone,” she concluded.

Selling Sunset fans, listen up!

Netflix has just released the first trailer for the sixth season of Selling Sunset, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

However, avid viewers of the drama-filled reality show will notice that one of the show’s main cast members will not be featured in this season.

After appearing in seasons 4 and 5, Vanessa Villela will not be returning for season 6 of Selling Sunset.

A post shared by Netflix US (@netflix)

In June of last year, a source from the show spoke to People and admitted that Vanessa’s return was unlikely.

"Vanessa is stressed about coming back to the show. She'd like to come back and she'd love to showcase her wedding, but she's heard the same thing as everyone else, that new realtors are going to be coming in," the source said at the time.

Well, it looks as though the rumours of her departure are true, as Vanessa is absent from the trailer.

Vanessa is the third confirmed absence from this upcoming season, as Christine Quinn and Maya Vander had previously announced that they have left the Oppenheim Group and moved onto new ventures.

However, do not despair, Selling Sunset fans! The first look at season 6 has confirmed that the remaining luxury realtors have gained two new members to fill their losses.

Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young will be joining the cast for this new season, and we have no doubt that they will serve the perfect amount of drama and glamour!

The newbies will be joining the remaining cast members – Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae El Moussa, Amanza Smith, Davina Potratz and Chelsea Lazkani – in an attempt to outdo one another.

So, prepare yourself for another binge-worthy series! Season 6 of Selling Sunset will launch on Netflix next month on Friday, May 19. We can’t wait!

We all know having a pet has a hugely positive impact on our homes and hearts, but did you ever consider that it can have a significant impact on the environment too? Dog food production alone is responsible for an estimated 106 million tonnes of CO2 waste every year, equivalent to a year’s worth of driving from 21 million cars.

To mark Earth Month 2023, sustainably-driven Irish pet nutrition company Blue Pet Co. is teaming up with climate expert, broadcaster and dog mom Fionnuala Moran to share simple actions that every pet owner can take to reduce our dog’s carbon footprints.

Climate expert, broadcaster and dog mom Fionnuala Moran

Everything Blue Pet Co. does is in the best interest of the planet. The Kerry-based blue biotech specialises in clean, marine-powered dog supplements enriched with seaweed extracts, designed to meet a dog’s health needs naturally and sustainably.

Not only is seaweed packed with key health and wellness benefits for dogs, but it’s also a secret weapon to climate change that captures more carbon than trees daily.

Developed by a team of marine scientists, Blue Pet Co.’s tasty chewable supplements GoShine, GoActive and GoSmile target critical areas of health concern in dogs – joints and muscles, skin and hair, teeth and gums.

Fionnuala Moran says: “In a climate crisis, it’s important to take a holistic approach to sustainability, bringing it into each aspect of our lives, and this includes how we look after our pets. I’m delighted to support a future-focused, Irish company who are harnessing the superpowers of seaweed to produce zero-waste dog supplements. Farrah and Alfie’s coats are gleaming thanks to Blue Pet Co.’s nutritious supplements, so it’s a win for my pups in the treat department and for their carbon pawprints!”

Read on to learn how small changes in our daily routines can create a healthier planet for our furry friends and future generations.

Support Irish!

Caring for our pets with products from fabulous Irish sustainable businesses like Blue Pet Co. saves on emissions from air miles induced by shipping in foreign products. Every €10 spent locally generates €50 for the economy, which is another upside that will help to keep our communities thriving.

Dry food drops our carbon pawprint.

Feeding our dogs sustainably made dry food instead of wet food significantly reduces the emissions incurred by our furry friends’ diets. We can go a step further by including some nice crunchy vegetables for them to somewhat reduce their meat consumption and, in turn, their carbon pawprint.

Planet-friendly pooping.

Opting for biodegradable or compostable dog poo bags is one way to lessen the single-use plastic impact of having a pet. Dog poo that isn’t picked up can leech bacteria, parasites and even any medication they may be taking into our water systems, harming ecosystems and aquatic life. With this in mind, perhaps we can go the extra mile and pick up additional poops we spy on while dealing with our own doggy’s droppings.

Paws up for working reuse and recycle into playtime.

Reuse and recycle are key sustainability concepts. Keep an eye out for toys made out of recycled materials, which are becoming more available. Or you could even get creative making some yourself – think tug of war ropes by tying knots in strong old towels or snuffle mats out of old cloths, t-shirts or socks. Reuse old cardboard boxes by adding Blue Pet Co. supplements hidden in leftover scrunched-up paper to provide foraging fun.

Secondhand soul mate searching.

We’re getting very good at sourcing secondhand clothing and homewares as we become more sustainably minded but consider finding your four-legged bestie secondhand too. Ireland’s rescues are overflowing with angels who’ve ended up in them through no fault of their own, waiting to be adopted, like my two Salukis: Farrah and Alfie! Spaying and neutering can also be a responsible way to make the population of our beloved pooches more sustainable, saving many pups from ending up in the pound or rescues.

Find Blue Pet Co. supplements in leading pet retailers nationwide, including Petmania, and Pet Republic, veterinary clinics and online at bluepet.com.

As a singer, it can be just as important to make a good record cover as it is to make good songs. The record cover shows what the music looks like and can be what makes a potential fan decide whether or not to give the music a chance. In this detailed guide, we’ll look at the whole process of how to create album cover, for example, with Vista Create, from coming up with an idea to making the final design.

 Conceptualization

The first thing you need to do to make a record cover is come up with an idea. This can come from the song itself, from the words, or even from a picture. When coming up with ideas, it’s important to think about the type of music, the audience, and the general mood of the record.

Once a concept has been chosen, it is important to create a rough sketch or mockup of the design. This can be done using pen and paper or through digital means. The goal of this stage is to visualize the overall composition of the album cover and get a sense of how the different elements will work together.

Choosing the Right Imagery and Typography

The imagery and typography used on the album cover are essential in communicating the concept and overall mood of the album. It is important to choose imagery and typography that are both visually striking and appropriate for the genre and target audience.

When selecting imagery, it is important to consider both the subject matter and the style. The subject matter should be relevant to the music and the overall concept of the album. The style should also be consistent with the genre of the music and the mood of the album.

Typography is also an important element to consider when designing an album cover. The font used can communicate a lot about the album, such as the genre, mood, and overall style. It is important to choose a font that is legible and complements the imagery.

Color Theory and Composition

Color theory and composition are important elements in creating an effective album cover. The colors used can convey a particular mood or emotion, and the composition can draw the viewer’s eye to specific elements.

When selecting colors, it is important to consider the overall mood of the album and the target audience. For example, bright, bold colors may be appropriate for a pop album, while muted, earthy tones may be more suitable for a folk album.

Composition is also an important element to consider. The placement of imagery and typography can greatly affect the overall visual impact of the album cover. It is important to create a balanced composition that draws the viewer’s eye to the most important elements.

Refinement and Final Design

Once the initial concept, imagery, typography, color, and composition have been chosen, it is time to refine and finalize the design. This involves making any necessary adjustments to the overall design to ensure it is visually striking and effective.

During this stage, it is important to pay attention to the details. This may include adjusting the placement of elements, tweaking colors, or fine-tuning typography. It is also important to consider how the design will look at different sizes and resolutions, as it will be used on various platforms, such as streaming services and physical media.

Collaborating with a Designer

While some musicians may have the skills and resources to create their own album covers, others may choose to collaborate with a designer. Working with a designer can help ensure that the final design is visually striking and effective, while also saving the musician time and effort.

When choosing a designer, it is important to consider their experience, portfolio, and communication skills. It is also important to have a clear understanding of the project scope, timeline, and budget.

Creating an album cover is an important part of the music-making process. A well-designed album cover can capture the essence of the music and entice potential listeners to give the music a chance. By following the steps outlined in this comprehensive guide, musicians can create album covers that are visually striking and effective in communicating the mood and concept of their music.

Sarah Ferguson has finally spoken out about not being invited to the upcoming coronation of King Charles III.

The Duchess of York, who is the former sister-in-law of King Charles after divorcing Prince Andrew, had been facing speculation about the reason why she would not be attending the historic ceremony, which is taking place on May 6.

The mum-of-two has now taken the opportunity to clear up the rumours about her intended absence.

Sarah appeared on Good Morning Britain earlier today, and in her interview, the Duchess was asked by presenter Kate Garraway if she would be attending the coronation ceremony.

“No, I’m not actually,” Sarah replied, before explaining the reason behind the decision.

“It’s a state occasion. Being divorced I don’t think you can have it both ways,” the 63-year-old detailed.

Sarah then went on to share how excited she is to be moving on from her royal life, and focusing on her career as a novelist.

“The great thing about this time is the unity of family, I think that Charles and Camilla are doing an exceptional job at unifying the family," she praised. “In private I can be there."

Sarah also appeared on Loose Women earlier this month to promote her upcoming romance novel, Most Intriguing Lady. At the time, she confessed that she didn’t anticipate receiving an invite to the coronation.

Instead, she revealed her alternate plans to celebrate the momentous occasion.

"I personally will be having a little tea room and coronation chicken sandwich and putting out the bunting, that’s what I’m going to be doing,” she beamed.

"I also love to watch it on telly because you hear a lot on telly, the commentators are always good and then everyone, all the family come back,” she added.

Sarah became the Duchess of York after she married Prince Andrew in July 1986. The couple subsequently went on to welcome two daughters together – Princess Beatrice (34) and Princess Eugenie (33) – before they announced their separation in March 1992.
