It has been revealed that production in the Love Island villa was briefly paused during the first night of filming.

The tenth series of the popular ITV dating show launched last night, with 10 brand new Islanders entering the Spanish villa in search of love.

However, it has now been shared that the first night in the villa did not go smoothly.

The show’s production was halted on the first night as medics were brought in to attend to 22-year-old Catherine.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider source recalled that the Irish contestant began to feel unwell after beginning her Love Island journey earlier in the day.

“Catherine started to feel ill during filming and she was seen by the villa’s medical team. Her welfare was the priority and filming with the other Islanders and Maya was stopped until she was feeling better,” the source stated.

They went on to explain the potential cause behind Catherine feeling unwell. “It seemed the heat, nerves and not eating enough was the cause of her turn and she returned to filming not long after,” they detailed.

“Catherine was seen instantly by one of the 24 hour medics which resulted in a short pause in filming, once the medic was happy with her temperature she was fine to continue with the rest of filming,” another source added.

The revelation comes after fans were treated to a first look into tonight’s episode, which sees Catherine continuing to get to know her new partner, André.

At the end of last night’s installment, host Maya Jama introduced 25-year-old bombshell Zachariah, who has just 24 hours to decide which girl he would like to couple up with. The boy that is left remaining from the broken-up couple will subsequently have a ‘vulnerable’ position in the villa.

But who will he choose, and will Catherine remain with André? Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.

If you are due to fly out of Dublin Airport today or tomorrow, your flight could be at risk of cancellation.

It has been announced that over 30 European flights to and from Dublin Airport have been cancelled today and tomorrow, as a result of air traffic control strikes in France. The strikes are due to last until tomorrow morning, June 7.

So far, it has been confirmed that 16 flights to Dublin Airport and 15 departures from the airport have been cancelled. Ryanair and Aer Lingus have been some of the worst affected airlines.

Departure destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris, Marseille and Basel are just some of the dozens that have had flights cancelled. Passengers who were due to board these flights should have already been notified of their cancellation by their airline.

This strike action is just the latest in a series of protests by French air traffic controllers this year, as they reject government reforms to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

The strike action has badly affected the French operating system, as the country currently cannot prevent flights passing through their airspace during strike action from being diverted or grounded.

The head of Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, recently called out this lack of protection and insisted that it needs to be put in place.

“France (and all other EU states) should copy the example of Spain, Italy and Greece all of whom use Minimum Service Laws to protect overflights during ATC strikes,” he stated in a petition to EU Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen.

"If this means that a greater number of domestic or short-haul flights are cancelled, then so be it, but flights over France must be protected during French ATC strikes,” he added.

To find out if your upcoming flight has been affected by strike action, you can visit Dublin Airport’s flight update page here.

Choosing Gold Indian Bracelets: A Guide to Finding the Perfect Piece

Gold Indian bracelets are not only exquisite pieces of jewellery but also carry cultural significance and timeless beauty. Whether you are buying a gold bracelet for yourself or as a gift, it’s essential to consider various factors to ensure you choose the perfect piece. From design and craftsmanship to purity and authenticity, this guide will help you navigate the world of gold Indian bracelets and make an informed decision.

Understanding Purity and Hallmarks

When purchasing gold Indian bracelets, understanding purity is crucial. Gold is measured in karats, and the higher the karat, the purer the gold. In India, 22-karat gold is the most commonly used for jewellery. However, you can also find 18-karat and 14-karat options. Look for hallmarks on the bracelet, such as the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) hallmark, which guarantees the purity of the gold. These hallmarks certify the authenticity of the gold and ensure that you are investing in a genuine piece.

Exploring Traditional and Contemporary Designs

Indian jewellery is known for its intricate designs and rich cultural heritage. When choosing an Indian bracelet, consider whether you prefer traditional or contemporary designs. Traditional designs often feature motifs like paisleys, flowers, or deities, while contemporary designs may incorporate modern elements. Look for craftsmanship details like filigree work, enamel detailing, or stone embellishments, which add uniqueness to the piece. Decide on a design that resonates with your style and preferences.

Considering Bracelet Styles

Indian gold bracelets come in various styles, each with its own charm and purpose. Let’s explore a few popular styles:

  • Bangle Bracelets: Bangle bracelets are solid circular bands that slip over the wrist. They can be thin and delicate or thick and chunky, depending on your preference. Bangle bracelets are often adorned with intricate patterns, gemstones, or enamel work.
  • Cuff Bracelets: Cuff bracelets are open-ended and can be easily adjusted to fit your wrist. They can feature elaborate designs, often with motifs inspired by Indian culture, and are ideal for those who prefer a statement piece.
  • Chain Bracelets: Chain bracelets consist of interlinked gold chains and are known for their simplicity and elegance. They can be worn alone or layered with other bracelets for a more personalized look.

Budget and Affordability

Setting a budget is essential when purchasing a bracelet. The price of a bracelet can vary depending on factors such as purity, weight, design intricacy, and craftsmanship. Determine your budget range and explore options within that range to ensure a more focused search. Remember to prioritize quality over quantity, as a well-crafted gold bracelet will last a lifetime and can even be passed down as an heirloom.

Buying from Reputable Sources

To ensure you’re investing in an authentic gold Indian bracelet, it’s crucial to buy from reputable sources. Look for established jewelry stores that have a track record of selling genuine gold jewellery. Consider reading reviews and seeking recommendations from friends or family. Additionally, inquire about warranties, return policies, and after-sales services offered by the jeweller.

Maintaining and Caring for Your Gold Indian Bracelet

Once you’ve chosen the perfect Indian bracelet, it’s important to care for it properly to maintain its beauty and longevity. Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the gold or gemstones. Clean your bracelet regularly using a mild jewellery cleaner and a soft cloth. Store it separately in a jewellery box or pouch to prevent scratches and tangling.

In conclusion, choosing a gold Indian bracelet is an exciting and meaningful process. Consider factors like purity, design, style, and your budget to find the perfect piece. Explore different styles and make sure to buy from reputable sources to ensure the authenticity of your purchase.

With proper care, your gold Indian bracelet will continue to shine and become a cherished part of your jewellery collection for years to come.
