Tributes have been paid to two teenage girls who lost their lives last night in a devastating car crash in Co. Monaghan.

The girls, who were aged 16 and 17, were passengers in the car they were travelling in when it crashed on the Clones to Smithborough Road.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, which happened at around 6:45pm. The driver of the car, a man in his 60s, is in a critical condition at Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

An 18-year-old girl is also in a critical condition in Cavan General Hospital, while an 18-year-old male is being treated for less serious injuries in Cavan.

The identities of the victims have yet to be released to the public.

The teenagers were on their way to attend the class of 2023’s debs celebrations at Largy College in Clones when the crash occurred. The debs ball was cancelled in the wake of the tragic losses, and the school stayed open late last night (July 31) to support the shocked students and families.

Many tributes have begun to pour in, including from the Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the two young girls who have lost their lives and with those who are very seriously injured in hospital, I can just say the entire community…has just been knocked by this. You know, this was a Debs night for Largy College. It should have been a night of celebration, and a kind of coming of age for these young people and it just turned into their families’ worst possible nightmare,” she stated.

Sharon Magennis, the principal of Largy College, has also paid tribute to the two students, writing: “It is with profound sadness and grief that we have learned about the devastating accident that resulted in the untimely and tragic loss of two cherished members of our school community.”

“The other individuals involved in the accident also remain in our thoughts and prayers at this time,” she added.

Commuters are advised to avoid the N54 as Gardaí continue to investigate the accident.

Amy Dowden has shared a health update to her fans. 

The Strictly Come Dancing star was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in May and has been undergoing treatment since. 

Amy is now starting chemotherapy and has opened up about her health journey in order to help raise awareness and to encourage people to check themselves.

The 32-year-old explained, “I’ve decided I want to share my chemo journey to help raise awareness, hopefully get others checking and for understanding what we go through”.

“Port fitted! Wasn’t looking forward to it. Wasn’t easy… my veins! Feeling tender, bruised and sore but the port will help massively over the next few weeks snd allow me to dance when I feel well enough”.

Ahead of having the port fitted, Amy shared a snap of herself in a hospital gown to her Instagram Stories and admitted, “Really not looking forward to this! Another scar this one only inch long but will always remind me and will always be visible”.

After having the procedure done, Dowden thanked her fans for their supportive messages and spoke out about what her body has been through in recent times. 

“Thanks for all the comments and messages today! I've sat here tonight and thought wow my body has been through so much in the past 6-7 weeks”, she started.

“Mastectomy, fertility treatment due to the next few stages, a little crohns flare up and now chemo and hormone treatment. Just shows when you need to be you can be strong, stronger than you think is possible”.

Amy continued, “It's certainly changed my outlook on life and I just need to push through these next few months and I'm determined I will”.

“But has also shown me how lucky I am to have so many loved ones around me and the support from you guys! THANK YOU! It means so much and has helped me these last few weeks more than you will ever know. Now please remember to check yourselves”.

We finally know more details about the Big Brother reboot!

Last night, ITV producers chose to unveil the brand-new logo for the revived reality series. 

During an advert break for the grand final of Love Island, audiences were treated to a brief teaser for Big Brother.

“Big Brother sees it all,” ITV producers hinted in its slogan, before confirming: “The ultimate social experiment returns this autumn to ITV2 and ITVX.”

In a later press release, the producers behind Big Brother then went on to share some exciting news that diehard fans will be delighted about.

It has been confirmed that the reboot will include the return of live feeds of the Big Brother house, after they had previously been phased out from the show.

Producers have explained that, every night on streaming platform ITVX, fans will be able to view the ongoings inside the Big Brother house into the small hours of the morning.

It has also been noted that the live stream will begin each night after the Big Brother companion show has aired.

Following the new details, fans have been taking to social media to express what they would like to see from the rebooted series.

“Zero influences please. Normal people of all creeds and backgrounds,” one Instagram follower wrote.

Big Brother’s revival was initially announced by ITV during last summer’s Love Island final. It has since been finalised that Dance Dance Dance's Will Best and Strictly Come Dancing alum AJ Odudu will take over as hosts, with voice announcer Marcus Bentley also on board to return.

Big Brother first launched on our screens on Channel 4 in 2000, and the public edition of the programme last aired in 2018 on Channel 5. 

An official launch date for the reboot has yet to be announced.

Serena Williams has revealed the gender of her second child. 

The tennis pro announced she was expecting baby no.2 with her husband Alexis Ohanian back in May while attending The Met Gala and has now revealed the little one’s sex. 

Sharing the exciting news to YouTube, Serena titled the six minute long video, “The BIG REVEAL”, to announce the gender.

Serena and Alexis organised a lavish ‘baby shower-slash-gender reveal’ party with all of their nearest and dearest, ensuring to include their five-year-old Olympia, to discover that they’re having another baby girl!

The extravagant get-together was held outdoors and had plenty of pink and blue decorations to stick to the gender reveal theme. 

A multi-coloured balloon arch that reads, ‘Our Next Great Adventure’, welcomed guests into the event. There were also lots of other colourful balloons, chairs and towels for guests dotted around the venue.

For entertainment, party-goers could enjoy music, dancing and a dunk-tank as they waited for the big moment of the reveal.

There was also a beautiful two-tiered pink and blue cake decorated beautifully with pastel stars, clouds and rainbows.

Before discovering the gender, Serena spoke out about what gender she thinks her little one is in her YouTube video.

“I’m team pink. But I'm a little nervous because I don't have any contingency plan if it turns out to be a boy”.

“I’m very excited. I’m a little nervous and I’m anxious”, the 41-year-old admitted while getting ready for the party. 

When the big moment of finding out if they’re having a boy or a girl came, Alexis had played a trick on Serena. The couple were going to cut into a cake to reveal either pink or blue sponge, but Ohanian wanted to play a prank and decided to get a yellow sponge instead. 

Whispering about his joke to the camera, Alexis said, “So this cake is as basic of a gender reveal idea as I could come up with. Inside… It's yellow! I'm doing this because I want to troll her and Olympia into thinking that this is the reveal of Jelly Bean”.

“She will cut into this cake and probably be disappointed and hopefully appreciate my troll. But, we'll see. I don't know if she's gonna be a professional about it”.

“She might see this cake come out, roll her eyes, and say, ‘This guy had one job and he gave me a goddamn cake gender reveal’. But we'll see. there's a reveal after the reveal”.

After Serena cut the cake to reveal yellow sponge, Alexis unveiled the real way they were finding out their tot’s gender. 

“We are actually going to reveal Jelly Bean’s sex. The way we’re going to do it, though, is with a little style and some spectacular lights. And I need DJ Mike Wise to get us going and draw your attention to the heavens”.

After a stunning drone light display in the sky, ‘It’s a… GIRL’, was lit up in pink to confirm the couple would be parents to another little girl. 

Serena, Alexis and Olympia looked overjoyed as they embraced and celebrated together at the end of the sweet video.

Angus Cloud has sadly passed away at the age of 25. 

The Euphoria actor was known for his role as Fezco, aka ‘Fez’, in the hit HBO series.

The devastating news of Angus’ death comes just a week after his dad’s funeral in Ireland.

The statement reads, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways”.

“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend”.

Tributes for the young actor have poured in online, with many of his co-stars sharing tributes for their friend.

Javon Walton, who played Cloud’s on-screen brother, shared photos of them together to Instagram and said, “Rest easy brother. Forever family”.

The official Twitter page of Euphoria also released a statement to Twitter, writing, “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud”.

“He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time”.

The cause of Angus’ death is still unknown at this time.

Roman Kemp has addressed rumours surrounding Strictly Come Dancing!

The 30-year-old, who is the son of Spandau Ballet bass player Martin Kemp, has had a skyrocketing career in recent years.

Now, as the autumn season looms and a new series of Strictly is almost upon us, speculation has been swirling about which famous faces will be joining this year’s cast.

However, in a recent interview with OK!, Roman admitted that he has hesitations about taking part in the hit BBC dancing show.

“I think sometimes the show takes away from the skill of the dancers and it becomes like a soap opera of who’s dating who,” he continued, referring to ongoing rumours of the so-called ‘Strictly Curse’ between previous couples.

“I’d want to be focused on the dancing and enjoying who I’m dancing with, not feeling like, ‘Oh God, is someone going to write a story about me?’ – I would never want that,” Roman explained, before going on to elaborate on why he would want Johannes as a dancing partner. 

“So, if I was teamed up in a same-sex pairing, it would be brilliant because I’d just be focusing on the show,” he noted.

In 2021, Johannes and his co-star John Whaite made Strictly history by being the first all-male same-sex couple to take part in the show. The pair went on to reach the series final, but lost out to former EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.

This year’s Strictly lineup is expected to be revealed throughout August, with big stars such as TV host Angela Scanlon, Love Island alum Zara McDermott and presenter Les Dennis already rumoured to be taking part.

The Love Island final is upon us!

Tonight, fans of the ITV dating show will decide who will be crowned the winners of its 10th series.

Whitney and Lochan, Ella and Tyrique, Molly and Zachariah, and Jess and Sammy will be joining host Maya Jama live in Mallorca tonight, as their final day in the villa plays out to viewers.

Ahead of the last episode of the season, Love Island producers have released a first look at tonight’s final – including the showstopping dresses that the girls wore to the ‘Love Island Ball’.

Molly is first to greet the boys in their tuxes, as she arrives wearing a beautiful deep green gown. Whitney then makes her entrance, as she chooses to don an adorable white dress with a fluffy neckline.

Next, Jess wows her fellow Islanders in a stunning red gown with a train behind her. Last but not least, Ella makes her mark in a figure-hugging grey dress.

As the group gathers for one last time, Zachariah makes a toast and remarks: “Cheers to our experience, and finding love.”

Following the release of the first look, many fans have since taken to social media to express their thoughts on the girls’ individual looks.

Lisa Kudrow is being celebrated by her Friends co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox. 

Lisa, known for her hilarious role as Phoebe Buffay in the hit 90’s sitcom, has turned 60 years old and her on-screen and real-life pals have been making the day extra special for her.

Danielle Armstrong has been opening up about her postpartum body and recovery. 

The former The Only Way is Essex star has been praised for chatting about her body 10 days after giving birth to her second child. 

Danielle welcomed the birth of baby Una earlier this month with her husband Tommy Edney. The couple already share three-year-old Orla together.

In her latest social media post, sharing a snap of herself in her underwear while cradling baby Una to her 1.3M Instagram followers, Danielle has spoken about recovering from her C-section and appreciating her body. 

The 35-year-old wrote, “I dedicate this post to my body. So here I am today 10 days postpartum. I’ve been recovering after having a C – Section and wow I didn’t realise the simple things that I took for granted like getting out of bed, picking up Orla to cuddle her, bending down to pick things up and even putting on my underwear (thankfully my Tom has been amazing)”.

“I look at my body today and I’m celebrating what an amazing job it’s done, growing a tiny human being and going through a big operation to bring life into this world”.

Armstrong went on to say, “I’ve also shared a video with you all to show exactly what a body looks like after pregnancy, as I think it’s important for women to see”.

“When I had Orla I remember thinking why did I still look pregnant for so long after I gave birth & I constantly compared myself to other women that had babies around the same time as me, how can they be back in their skinny jeans and I’m still wearing maternity clothes”.

“I know I’ll get my body back like I did after my first pregnancy, but I’m not putting pressure on myself or comparing myself to others this time. Postpartum body I see you & I appreciate you”, the former reality TV star added.

Fans and social media followers of Danielle’s rushed to the comments to commend her honest observation.
