In support of the victim in the notorious Stanford case, Lena Dunham and her three Girls co-stars have released a video urging people to acknowledge the severity and shocking regularity with which sex crimes are committed.

Standing alongside each other in footage Lena uploaded to Twitter this week, the four actresses highlighted horrifying statistics relating to rape and sexual abuse.

After explaining that one in five women will be sexually assaulted during her lifetime and one in four girls will be sexually abused before the age of 18, Allison Williams said: "It's reality."

"So why is our default reaction as a society to disbelieve?" Zosia Mamet, who plays Shoshanna, asked. "What if we chose to turn towards those in need instead of away?"

Sharing the video with her 4.68 million followers last night, Lena wrote: "I dedicate this to the brave survivor in the Stanford case who has given so much to change the conversation."

Take a look at this.

We're absolute suckers for cracking first auditions here at SHEmazing! HQ, and 12-year-old Grace VanderWaal from the States hasn't disappointed this week.

Appearing on America's Got Talent on Tuesday night, the adorable middle-schooler performed a self-penned track entitled I Don't Know My Name, and brought the absolute house down.

Strumming on a ukulele, Grace cut the cutest figure on-stage with her swishy bob, big smile and bright yellow pants, and we think we may actually have a new superstar on our hands.

Winning over both the audience and the entire panel of judges, Grace wept with excitement after Howie Mandel rang the all-important golden buzzer which fast-tracked straight through to the next round.

And the best part? Simon Cowell predicted she may actually be the next Taylor Swift.

Grace, it looks like it might be time to assemble your squad.

Remember when you were a kid and had to communicate without the help of technology?

Handwritten cards, scrawled notes and painstaking letter writing was the name of the game before we finally got our hands on yee olde texting machine.

And while it's a distant memory for us now, for some people the struggle is still all too real especially for this one kid who couldn't find a pen when he really needed to leave a special message for his pop.

Taking to Imgur to share the heartwarming moment with the internet, the kid's dad uploaded a shot of his child's creative streak, writing: "It's the small things that make being a parent so rewarding."

Yeah, read it and weep, Dad.

We all know what it's like to stand in front of a bulging wardrobe and still feel like we've absolutely nothing to wear, but have you have wondered how much of your life you actually spend doing it?

Well, thanks to the good people at Marks & Spencer we now know the answer.

According to Cosmo, a survey of 2,000 British people found that on average women spend 17 minutes per day deciding what to wear.

That doesn't sound too bad until you learn that 17 minutes per day across your working life equals a whopping 6 months of wardrobe-related stress.

And speaking of stress, 62% of women surveyed admitted to throwing "irrational tantrums" while trying to pull an outfit together – while one in five have rowed with their partner during the process.

On top of that, the survey found that the average wardrobe is made up of 152 items – of which less than half is regularly worn.

And, as you'd expect, 20% of people complain regularly about having nothing to wear.

With all that extra clutter, what do we really expect?

Ed Sheeran is being sued for $20 million for allegedly copying a Matt Cardle song.

The people who wrote the X Factor winner's song Amazing have filed a lawsuit against Ed in a Californian court stating that his hit single Photograph contains 39 identical notes as Amazing, as well as having strikingly similar "words, vocal style, vocal melody, melody, and rhythm" to Matt's song.

Photograph – which was co-written by Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid who is also named in the lawsuit – has been sold more than 3.5million times since its release in 2014.

It has also been viewed over 200 million times on YouTube and was used in the movie Me Before You.

Meanwhile Matt Cardle's third release, Amazing, failed to make it past No.84 in the UK chart.

The lawsuit states: "While Sheeran, McDaid, and the other Defendants received career-defining accolades, awards, and a fortune for Photograph, the true writers of much of Photograph received nothing."

It claims there is an "unusual level of strikingly similar copying" between the songs and says "note-for-note copying makes up nearly one half of Photograph".

The same lawyer who successfully sued Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams for the similarities between Blurred Lines and a Marvin Gaye song is set to represent the songwriters.

Ed has yet to comment on the allegations.

Most of us have, by now, read the victim impact statement written by a woman who was sexually assaulted behind a dumpster on Stanford University campus in January 2015.

Speaking directly to her rapist at sentencing, she pleaded with him to understand the severity of his crime and asked that he accept responsibility for his actions, but while her words resonated with millions worldwide, they failed to make the intended impact on Brock Turner – her rapist.

Blaming alcohol and a party culture for his decision to sexually assault an unconscious woman, Turner insisted his life has been equally impacted by the – as his father has now infamously dubbed the crime – "20 minutes of action".

With the public lauding Turner's victim for her eloquence and dignity in the face of such horror, she has chosen to address the controversy which has been ignited in light of her rapist's incredibly lenient six-month sentence.

Speaking on her behalf, the case prosecutor said: "I remain anonymous, yes to protect my identity. But it is also a statement, that all of these people are fighting for someone they don't know."

"That's the beauty of it. I don't need labels, categories, to prove I am worthy of respect, to prove that I should be listened to," she continued.

"I am coming out to you as simply a woman wanting to be heard," she said. "Yes there is plenty more I'd like to tell you about me. For now, I am every woman."

A petition has been established in order to remove the judge who handed down the sentence.

As far as we’re concerned here at SHEmazing! HQ, music is bae, and bae is life. End of.

And while most of us remember our first CD and subsequent concert trip, little stands out as much as your first ever unsupervised gig. (Apart from the first time your tent floods at a festival, obvs.)

So after your first few boy band concerts with your mum and BFF, it simply became time for you to spread your wings and hit up your first PROPER gig, and Christ you were going to cherish that teenage milestone.

Unfortunately, the reality of your first proper gig could not be further from your expectation, but hey that’s what made it so amazing, right?!

Here’s what we mean…

Expectation: The ride of a lead singer will notice you in the crowd and invite you backstage.

Reality: The ride of a lead singer wears Cuban heels and you’re pretty sure they’re veneers he’s rocking.

Expectation: Your credibility will soar when people find out where you’re spending Saturday night.

Reality: Your credibility will remain the same because you were one of the last to hit up your first gig.

Expectation: You’ll sneak into the pit and life will be amazing.

Reality: You don’t know what the pit is and it scares you.

Expectation: You will dance like a sex goddess and purse your lips at strangers who totally deserve it.

Reality: You’ll stomp your feet and your hair will looks like Monica’s in the humidity.

Expectation: You’ll make friends with everyone ‘cos this music is so damn powerful and that’s what connects you all.

Reality: You’ll run away from some of these people who are too damn intense…even for you.

Expectation: You’ll sip on a really cool drink and act like it’s not a big deal. Like, at ALL.

Reality: You’ll forget to drink because you're so pumped at the fact that you're FINALLY seeing these guys.

Expectation: They’ll perform your favourite tracks and will sound exactly like they do on your beloved CD.

Reality: They’ll perform more tracks than you ever thought possible and it was like God himself was speaking to you

Expectation: You and your friends will get separated and you might have to spend the evening alone.

Reality: Your and your friends will stick to each other like glue and promise to always be BFFs during 'your' song.

Expectation: You’ll have enough room to get down with your bad self.

Reality: You’ll struggle to move while jostling desperately for space with other equally red-faced and sweaty gig-goers.

Expectation: You’ll remember the night for as long as you live cos it was so AWESOME.

Reality: You’ll remember the night for as long as you live cos it was so AWESOME…aw!

If this has gotten you as pumped as it's gotten us, then be sure to check out the upcoming SHEmazing! gig which is taking place in The Sugar Club on July 6th.

With Róisín O headlining, Hudson Taylor supporting and a host of other special guests, you can get your gig on while doing your bit for the ladies in your life.

She literally sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker.

No seriously ladies, that's what happened.

While performing Love on Top at New York's Citi Field stadium last night, Queen Bey felt that all familiar tingle, took a breath and gave a very delicate little sneeze, and the internet has gone absolutely NUTS in the aftermath.

After the entire stadium blessed her in unison, thousands of Bey's fans took to social media to share the wonderful news with those not fortunate enough to witness the incredible moment in person.

"That time Beyoncé sneezed on stage and the crowd melted," wrote one. "She is real! #FormationaWorldTour."

"I'm literally so excited to tell everyone at work tomorrow that Beyoncé knows to sneeze into the crook of her arm," gushed another who clearly knows the importance of hayfever etiquette.

If you think you can handle the excitement, then take a look at this…

It’s safe to say we can all get a little excited when it comes to meeting celebrities (even the Z-list).

But, one poor 7-year-old girl got a bit too excited after her performance on So You Think You Can Dance.

The girl danced for judges Paula Abdul, Jason Derulo and Nigel Lythgoe, and after her unreal performance, she was cheered on by the crowd watching.

However, when she was greeted by Paula, who wanted to congratulate her on her routine, the girl kinda… well, she got sick all over her.

While the audience couldn’t hold in their laughter, the embarrassed little girl ran off (bless her).

An Irish mum issued a heart-breaking appeal over the weekend, after she lost a doll that belonged to her late daughter, which went missing during a trip to Dublin Zoo.

The mum in question, Claire Gray, shared her story in the hope that someone may have come across the treasured doll over the past number of days.

And now, according to 98FM's Dublin Talks, the doll has been located and has been returned to its rightful owner, much to the delight of the public!

Baby Matilda was born in July 2013 and diagnosed with Edward’s syndrome shortly after. She was presented with a doll bearing her name – now affectionately known as ‘Matilda Doll’ – shortly before passing away, at the age of three months.

Matilda Doll soon became a precious treasure for the family, in particular Claire as she came to terms with her devastating loss. They endeavoured to bring Matilda Doll everywhere with them, especially during Matilda’s little brother Archie’s ‘firsts’, which is how she got lost last week.

We're so glad the doll is back where she belongs.
