Leona Lewis’s film début Walking on Sunshine has revealed its trailer.
Leona, who was crowned winner of The X Factor in 2006, has swapped the stage for the big screen in her first film role.
The movie musical tells the story of two sisters who have fallen for the same man, and features popular music from the ’80s.
The 29-year-old Bleeding Love singer, who plays the character Elena, joins the likes of comedienne Katy Brand, Sense & Sensibility actor Greg Wise and Being Human actress Annabel Scholey in the musical.
“It was something that just came along really, really quickly and this year my intention was to get refocused and re-inspired and it was perfect timing,” Leona said of the role. “I have done a lot of theatre work before, but it was quite a few years ago so getting back into that was kind of scary.”
The movie is directed by Max Giwa and Dania Pasquini, and is due to be released in cinemas on June 27th.
A new online tool developed by The Food Safety Authority of Ireland will allow Irish food businesses to calculate the calorie content in their menus.
MenuCal is the first such tool of it’s kind in Europe and it seems other countries may follow suit.
It will allow Irish restaurants and other food businesses to display the amount of calories in each of their dishes for their customer’s awareness.
However, the plan has struck some controversy with the Restaurant Association of Ireland who claim that it could cost the industry up to €5,000 a year.
The Minister for Health, James Reilly, has said there are no plans to make the display of calorie content in menus compulsory for restaurants as of yet.

Beyonce has been slammed by fans who have accused her of photoshopping a ‘thigh gap’ into a bikini photo.
The 32-year-old shared a picture of herself yesterday playing golf while on holiday with her family in the Dominican Republic after her hectic Mrs Carter world tour ended last month.
The Drunk in Love singer is caught mid-swing as she putts on a golf course while wearing a retro two-piece bikini.
The photo was posted on her Tumblr soon provoking a pretty strong reaction from eagle-eyed followers who believe Beyonce used photoshop to make her thighs appear thinner in the snap.
One person wrote on Twitter, “really @Beyonce? We all love your thick thighs. NO reason to photoshop a thigh gap in there…”
Another Twitter follower said, “With her money, Beyoncé should be able to pay someone who is better at Photoshop.”
“Seriously? As someone who sings about empowering girls and women, it’s a shame that you post pictures of yourself that are clearly photoshopped,” said another.
A few fans did however jump to Queen Bey’s defence arguing that it was just the way she was standing and not actually a photoshopped picture.

Despite rumours strongly indicating, that British singer, Ellie Goulding would be joining the 2014 X Factor panel; music mogul, Simon Cowell has insisted that’s not the case.
When asked if the Burn singer could be a judge on the show, Cowell simply replied, “she’s not on the list”.
Simon was then questioned on who he had considered for this year’s X Factor panel, but he just shrugged his shoulders and laughed: “No…got any ideas?”
Simon went onto dismiss other judge rumours, which included Rihanna and Rita Ora.

Fifi is the eldest sister of the Geldof family. She shared a snap of a bouquet flowers that friends sent to her, after her sister’s passing.

It may be two years since the last of the Twilight film franchise was released, but it seems big stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson stars are still reeling in on the cash.
A lawsuit between film financier, Goldcrest Film Distribution and studio, Summit Entertainment has revealed that Robert and Kristen got a total of $2.5million each, when it comes to bonuses.
So why are they going to court in the first place? Well it seems, Goldcrest is claiming that Twilight cost less than $40 million to make and that they gave approximately $10 million to the production upfront. In exchange, Goldcrest was supposed to receive a portion of the worldwide profits generated by the four films.
The lawsuit revealed that Twilight talent were awarded a total of $6 million in bonuses; while the author Stephenie Meyer was awarded $500,000.
But Kirsten and Robert definitely did the best out of the deal, as the film’s main couple were only supposed to be entitled to $300,000 in bonuses originally.
