We first chat to Valerie Roe, one of the Judges for the event and she explained how Miss Ireland is all about empowering women.

Next we caught up with Miss Ireland 2014, Jessica Hayes and she told us what she will miss most about her crown.

Finally, judge and blogger Suzanne Jackson gave us her inside knowledge of the beauty biz and what she is looking out for in the new girls.

Following on from the success of her Fashion Fix Roadshow earlier this year, style guru Lisa Fitzpatrick has teamed up with Arnotts to create the ultimate girlie event next month in Dublin.

The Fashion Fix Workshop will take place on September 19th in the beautiful Spencer Hotel in Dublin’s IFSC.

Starting at 10am, guests will enjoy style and fashion advice from Lisa herself, nutrition tips from Rosanna Davison, hair & make up masterclasses from Brown Sugar, tanning demonstrations from Marissa Carter, a fashion show showcasing the Arnotts AW15 collections… and a surprise celebrity guest!

All experts will be available for guests to speak to them on a one-to-one basis throughout the day. Each attendee will be treated to lunch and will get a fantastic goodie bag of treats worth over €50 to take home.

New season, new hairstyle!

If you’re getting excited for something more than your usual trim next time you hit the hairdressers, then it’s time to start researching the latest trends for autumn and winter.

S! TV headed along to the Irish heats of the prestigious Wella Professionals TrendVision Awards last night, where 180 talented hairdressers and colourists were competing to go forward to the UK and Ireland final in October, with the hope of staking a place in the International Final in Berlin the following month.

Last night’s entrants were selected from over 900 applicants, with only 12 winners chosen, six in the Young Talent category and six in the ColourVision category.

The entries were judged by some of the most highly regarded UK based industry experts including Sharon Cox from Sanrizz, Jake Unger from HOB Salons and Colin McAndrew from Medusa.

From edgy braids and dreadlocks to sleek 1920s style cuts, there’s truly something for everyone this season.

With the sun shining outside and Halloween still weeks away, Christmas couldn't have been the furthest thing from our minds… until we stepped into the Christmas Market at Brown Thomas.
