Respect Your Body
Whether it’s sobering up, swapping junk food for vegetables or saving yourself for marriage, parents always have something to say about respecting yourself.

Don’t go Mad on R.A.G. Week
This one is inevitable. When that week starts to roll around, suddenly the dynamics of the house begin to change. Mammy breaks out in random cold sweats and Daddy winces every time you add to your alcohol stash.

Are You Going to your Lectures?
There is a reason every college student mutters “grand” when parents ask us to elaborate on how our week in college was. We haven’t been to a thing all week but we’ve managed to make it out four nights in a row and now we feel guilty about it so we’ll lie. What Mammy and Daddy don’t know won’t hurt them.

Cars
Mainly Mammy’s worry, we all know that. But Daddy worries on occasion too. And the biggest worry to parents these days are all of the accidents on the road.

“Don’t be getting into cars with any mad lads. Take the bus if you have to. And make sure no one’s speeding. Didn’t they tell ye in school that it wasn’t embarrassing to tell someone to slow down. I don’t want the guards to be calling here to my door telling me that you’re in the morgue.”

Not Washing Them Clothes
As students, it’s our biggest crime. Bringing dirty clothes home to Mammy and dumping them beside the washing machine.

“Do you think I’m a machine? I don’t want to be standing at the washing machine for the whole weekend. I don’t care that you don’t have a washing machine, go to the laundrette. And look at the state of your football shorts. Covered in muck! I’m telling you now, I’ll wash this lot but if I see one more bag of washing coming in here on a Friday evening, I’ll go MAD.”

At a loss for what to watch on Netflix tonight? Look no further.

Jonathan Keogh’s 10 minute supercut crams in 1,001 movies everyone should see before they die.

From classics such as Grease to more modern releases like Shame, the video stitches together clips and scores from the best movies of all time.

It took Keogh a year to finish the complication. His list is based on selections from Steven Jay Schneider’s book 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, as well as 215 extra titles the editor added himself.

“I tried my best to make it an overpowering exercise in film,” he said. “In another 130 years, this will be a completely different list. It was important to start with a film projector because film itself is becoming/already is a thing of the past.”

In just under four minutes, Dallas Baptist University student Brian Hull delivers 21 different impressions to belt out the song.

“With so many covers of Let it Go coming out, people may forget the original Disney magic that this song has,” 22-year-old Hull posted with the video on YouTube, ”so what better way to preserve that magic with other Disney and Pixar characters singing the song!”

Toddler Za’Dariyah Mishaw is bound to be the youngest person to be pulled over by the cops, and she wasn’t even in a real car at the time.

The two-year-old girl from Jacksonville, Florida, was driving her small pedal car outside her apartment complex when a police cruiser pulled into the car park with its blue lights flashing.

The stunt was all a bit of fun by a few good-natured officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office who were responding to a call at the same apartment complex where Za’Dariyah lives with her family.

During a heart-melting moment, Officer Christian Velasco took out his citation book and handed little Za’Dariyah a ticket.

The two-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida may have to do some extra chores to pay off the $4 ticket but her mum says the scribbling she has been making on the ticket won’t be held against her in court.

“Everybody has a bad perception of the police … and the police were real nice when they came along,” said the girl’s uncle Keyth Mishaw, who took photos of his niece’s first ‘ticket’ and sent them to First Coast News.
