After 12 years and 22 cycles, the search for America's Next Top Model is finally coming to an end.

Tyra Banks confirmed last night via Twitter that the show had been cancelled by the CW network, saying she "truly" believed it was time.

The former model recently launched her own lifestyle show, FabLife, but somehow we doubt it will ever reach the dizzy heights of ANTM. After all, it won't have Miss J Alexander.

To help us come to terms with our loss, we've rounded up some of the best (read: most mental) ANTM moments…

1. When Rebecca full-on fainted during her critique in Cycle 4
Love how everyone looks shocked but doesn't move a muscle.

2. When poor Alexandra fell before she'd even reached the catwalk…

…And was hit by a giant pendulum literally 30 seconds later.

3. Any time cycle 5 winner Lisa D'Amato was on screen
'Caaaaaalm downnnn.'

4. That time Tyra herself fainted while delivering some Tyra Mail

when tyra pretended to faint gif

5. But wait! It was just acting… ACTING! ACTING! ACTING!

6. Her stellar modelling advice in Cycle 8
Be a hoe, then make it fashion – simples.

7. Basically any time Miss J Alexander was confused…

8. When we finally learnt how to smile like a true model
Smize, people. SMIZE.

Not like this…

9. And of course, Tyra's epic rant at Tiffany in Cycle 4.
'I HAVE NEVER YELLED AT A GIRL LIKE THIS'

 Thanks for the memories, Ty-Ty.

Not too long ago models Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen opened up about their fertility issues on their talk show The FABLife.

Both women made it clear that they are not okay with people asking questions why they don’t have children yet. Chrissy, 29, opened up on the show about why she finds the questions so insensitive.

"I will say honestly, John and I are having trouble," she explained. "We would have kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But my gosh, it's been a process! We've seen fertility doctors.”

Now she has recently told E! News that this is something which she has wanted to talk about for some time.

“It didn’t feel right to ever tweet, ‘Ugh, doing my IVF shots again.’ It just sounded silly. It definitely was not planned in that episode at all.”

Neither Chrissy or her husband, singer John Legend, have ever addressed their infertility issues publicly, but the model says it has been a part of their lives for some time.

“John and I have been going through this for years and it’s something that has been a part of our lives and our friends have known.

"So it’s just nice to have a show and to be able to acknowledge it to people because I felt like I was keeping a secret from them and it was weird.”

While Chrissy has always been very open and active on social media, she said that since sharing her story on her talk show, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Usually I’m getting crap from people, but the amount of stories that were shared to both of us was really cool to see,” she explained.

Chrissy Teigen is no stranger to the media spotlight. The outspoken model and talk show host is not afraid of sharing some intimate moments with her fans on social media.

An advocate for the #FreeTheNipple Instagram campaign, she doesn’t usually shy away from talking about her personal life online, or on camera.

However, there is one question that she is constantly asked and which she is not okay with, at all.

“Do you want kids? When are you going to have kids?” are common questions the 29-year old is asked and she has argued that people need to stop.

In a new clip for her talk show FABLife, which Tyra Banks co-hosts, she made it clear why she and husband John Legend do not have children yet. She also revealed why she finds people questioning their personal life so insensitive.

"I will say honestly, John and I are having trouble," she explains. "We would have kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But my gosh, it's been a process! We've seen fertility doctors.”

Chrissy explained that since she and John started to see doctors, she understood it fertility issues were not as uncommon as she believed. She now feels that asking any woman the ‘when will you have kids’ question to be quite rude.

“You start learning that a lot of people in your life are seeing these people, and they have this shame about it.

“Anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them.”

Tyra also opened up about her issues with fertility:

“I've had some not-happy moments with that, very traumatic moments. It's difficult as you get older. It's not something that can just happen.”

As a former catwalk queen and the creator of America's Next Top Model, Tyra Banks knows a thing or two about the industry.

She has always campaigned for diversity in modelling, having famously featured plus-size and transgender models on ANTM, and yesterday Tyra took to social media to express her upset with the way the industry works these days.

"Models have so much pressure today… They have to be slimmer than slim. Skinnier than skinny," the TV star wrote. "When I was a young model, yeah, we had to think about our weight, but not like today. I think I was size 6, not a size 0."

Tyra also lamented the fact that so many models book jobs today based on their social media popularity more than on their catwalk skills. And if you take a look at the most sought-after models of 2015  Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Jourdann Dunn, Karlie Kloss  their stats don't lie. Kendall alone has 29.5m followers on Instagram, with the others all racking up at least a million apiece.

Speaking about the changes that have happened since her own modelling days, Tyra said she didn't envy those working today. " They have to compete with actresses, recording artists and reality stars for magazine covers and ad campaigns," she wrote.

"They have to have tons of followers on social media to book top notch jobs. And they have to do selfies that make them look relatable, but not TOO relatable, because then people may comment that they don't understand, 'Why the heck is THAT girl a friggin' model??!!!!'"

Accompanying her Instagram post was an image of a young Tyra backstage at a YSL show looking decidedly under-dressed compared to models these days:

"Yep, that's teenaged me right before a YSL show was about to start in sneakers, plaid flannel and bad jeans. Mr. Yves Saint Laurent could care how I looked when I arrived to his show. But when I hit his stage, he expected excellence," the 41-year-old explained. "And I made sure I delivered that every time I was chosen to walk his amazing runway."

Tyra finished her rant by sending "love and hugs to all working, aspiring and super models worldwide" adding "stay strong girls."

This is the second time this month that Tyra has had people talking on Instagram, having shared a beautiful no-make up selfie last week and telling her followers, "You deserve to see the REAL me. The REALLY real me."

Could we love her any more?

We feel like these two model superstars should be BFFs if they’re not already. The two are set to work together on the new panel-style TV show The Fab Life.

Alongside former Elle creative director Joe Zee, Youtube star Leah Ashley and interior designer Lauren Makk, the pair will be discussing various fashion and lifestyle stories as part of the show. Chrissy is on board as a social media expert. Not surprising, seeing as she has nearly 800,000 twitter followers and is downright hilarious online.

However, rumours are already flying around that the photogenic pair are at odds with each other, with tabloids reporting that differences between the two are causing a rift. Speculation is rife despite the fact the twosome have yet to be on screen together.

A representative for ABC, the network on which the show will air, had no comment on the apparent feud, while Chrissy took a tongue-in-cheek view of the situation:

Known for her cheeky social media posts, Chrissy couldn’t help herself from weighing in on the debate, joking about finally being cool enough to be involved in a celebrity feud.

Tyra was also quick to put the rumours to bed as she posted a tweet that warned Chrissy about the kinds of rumours tabloids will be quick to print about the pair. She called the story “crazy stuff” and joked about looking forward to fake fights with John Legend’s wife.

Chrissy may want to play it cool, even if these tales are just gossip, because who can forget the infamous feud Tyra had with fellow supermodel Naomi Campbell way back when.

The America’s Next Top Model host is known for her takes-no-crap attitude. Remeber that glorious take-down of Tiffany when she disrespected Tyra?

So let’s all keep hoping these stories don’t have any truth to them.

The pair don’t seem to be letting the rumours get to them though and from watching their twitter interactions it would seem these two beauties are set to give Kendall Jenner and her model posse some fierce competition.

Tyra is the queen of the ‘smize’ after all.

If we thought Tyra Banks’ infamous and epic meltdown on America’s Next Top Model was bad, we can’t imagine how angry she is after learning that she is being sued by a former contestant.

Aspiring model Angelea Preston has reportedly brought a legal case against Tyra, who is also the executive producer on the show, on grounds of a breach-of-contract after her disqualification from the show.

Preston made it to the final three in the All-Stars cycle of the show, alongside Allison Harvard and eventual winner Lisa D’Amato, but was kicked off the show when producers learned of her secret past as an escort.

Now, Preston is suing Banks for a cool $3 million, claiming that she was unfairly denied the prize money and accompanying career opportunities that may have come from staying in the final.

Explaining Preston’s disqualification at the time, show judge Nigel Barker said: “It turns out our production team and the network (The CW) learned information from Angelea that disqualifies her from the competition.”

Tyra has yet to comment on Preston’s legal action, but we bet that you, like us, are picturing her epic angry face right now!

Tyra Banks is pretty awesome – we just can’t get enough of America’s Next Top Model – but now it seems that the model can add psychic to her long list of jobs as she has predicted the future of beauty.

The TV show host, wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal about how she sees beauty will change in the future. It seems we can say goodbye to “traditional beauty” – whatever that is – and embrace “uniqueness”. And it seems plastic surgery will be the go-to to get this “uniqueness” as Tyra explained: “People will be vying for that cutting-edge, distinct look in the way that today celebs reach for baby names that defy convention.”

We will also be saying goodbye to hair extensions as a hair growing serum will be available (?!) and no longer will we vie for straight locks, it’ll be curly all the way. The 40-year-old has a long list of predictions but one of the most interesting involves robots – sure, you can’t see the future without robots, can you?!.

Tyra says: “Since beauty will be easily attainable, models will be as relevant as a horse and buggy. Robot/avatar models with features that look totally different from the golden-skinned everyday people will represent and sell products world-wide.”

Tyra is known for being a little quirky, so we’re not sure whether to laugh or cry, if we’re honest – it’s almost as crazy as the time she pretended she had rabies and starting barking like a dog on ANTM.

Eek, we’re not convinced Miley is going to like this too much!

Tyra Banks uploaded an image of Miley’s face photoshopped onto a turkey with the words “Who’s ready for Twerky?”

It’s far from a flattering shout-out for the singer and given what happened with Jennifer Lawrence last week, we’re not sure Miley will take this too well.

The supermodel then captioned the photo: “Dinner time.”

Miley had appeared on Tyra Banks’ TV show long before her twerking days and may see this latest mocking as a serious diss from an old friend.

Do you think Tyra’s Instagram photo was just a harmless joke or a bit mean?
