The Interview

The movie that none of us thought we would see (legally) is making its way to Irish cinemas this Friday the 6th of February. Niamh Geaney has managed to get her hands on an exclusive clip from The Interview. Take a look.

There are some great new releases coming out this weekend so grab the girlies, you mum or your other half and head to the cinema!

Hitting Irish cinemas this Friday, Selma sees a great cast of David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, Tim Roth and Tom Wilkinson bring to life Martin Luther Kin’s campaign to secure equal voting rights in ’60s America.

The Interview
Probably one of the most talk-about movies of this year so far, The Interview caused a LOT of trouble with North Korea thanks to its depiction of leader Kim Jong Un.

Jupiter Ascending
Described as, erm a ‘space opera’ (?!) this movie stars lots of big names such as Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum and Eddie Redmayne. Out this Friday!

Patrick's Day
A movie set to change the way people look at mental health issues. Written and directed by Terry McMahon and starring Moe Dunford, Kerry Fox and Phillip Jackson, this is one movie you don't want to miss. Hitting Irish cinemas Friday 6th February.

North Korea have labelled Seth Rogen’s new film as an “act of terrorism”.

The Interview is a comedy about a TV producer and a chat show host, who are ordered by the CIA to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

However, North Korea have made a complaint to the United Nations. They said in a letter published this week: “the production and distribution of such a film on the assassination of an incumbent head of a sovereign state should be regarded as the most undisguised sponsoring of terrorism as well as an act of war.”

Yikes – we wouldn’t want to be accused of partaking in an ‘act of war’ in this day and age! What’s Rogen going to do about this?

James Franco and Seth Rogan’s new film The Interview is about the USA trying to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and not surprisingly, North Koreans are not best pleased.

A North Korean spokesperson said: “[this] shows the desperation of the US government and American society.”

Kim Jong Un has condemned the film, but Rogan is not phased. He tweeted “Apparently Kim Jong Un plans on watching #TheInterview. I hope he likes it!!”

We can’t imagine that American’s would be too happy either if North Korea made a similar film about Obama!

Seth Rogen and James Franco are set to assassinate Kim Jong-un in their latest film The Interview.

Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show Skylark Tonight and when they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of their show they manage to land an interview with him. However, their plans go off course when they are recruited by the CIA to assassinate the dictator.

The trailer for the film has been released, and as can be expected for the comedy duo, it looks like there are going to be a lot of laughs along the way!

The film is out on October 10th.

James Franco was surrounded by controversy last week, after it was revealed that he had tried to ask out schoolgirl via Instagram.

Even though the 35-year-old actor has apologised for flirting with the Scottish teenager, the scandal still seems to be following the actor.

James’ best buddy, Seth Rogen was questioned about Franco’s actions and it seems Seth doesn’t want to know whether the Instagram proposition was the real deal or a publicity stunt.

“I have no idea actually. I am afraid to ask!”

Seth did go onto comment how him and James are releasing a film together, The Interview which comes out in cinemas this October.

“We made a whole movie that we starred in together that comes out in October called The Interview. So, if you like me and James Franco, you get a lot more coming your way.”
