Stephanie Davis has gone into labour after being admitted to hospital in her home town of Liverpool yesterday.

Rumours that she was about to give birth were sparked yesterday after the godfather of Stephanie's soon-to-arrive son tweeted that he had "never been so excited."

The 23-year-old is about to give birth to her first child with 26-year-old Irish model Jeremy McConnell.

The two met on last years Celebrity Big Brother, and began a whirlwind romance despite Stephanie already having a boyfriend.

“Steph is so excited that the day has finally come that she will meet her son," a friend told the Sun Online.

“At the moment she is focusing on welcoming her little boy – her priority is his safe delivery and spending some quality time with him."

“She is grateful for fans’ support and well wishes but right now her attention is on getting to grips with being a mum.”

Jeremy is currently in Thailand enjoying a short holiday. It is not known whether he will fly home to be by Stephanie's side for the birth.

The pair broke after Stephanie discovered he was cheating on her.

Jeremy has denied that the child is his and has said he will seek a paternity test after the birth.

If there was one former couple we did not see reconciling, it was Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell.

The couple, who began their relationship in front of the Celebrity Big Brother cameras in January, went through countless ups and downs over just five months before eventually calling it quits in May of this year.

But not before Stephanie announced she was pregnant, and the pair engaged in their fair share of mud-slinging online.

And while it looked like the pair had officially moved on in recent months, it seems Irish model, Jeremy McConnell, has had a change of heart after hearing of Steph's recent hospitalisation.

Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the Dubliner said Jeremy has realised his conduct often fell short, saying: "It’s like a switch has gone off in his head and he’s now realised his posts et cetera might not be appropriate."

"Stephanie will be in hospital for a few more days and Jeremy has decided to get rid of anything negative," the insider added.

Commenting on Stephanie's public persona, the source suggested her calmer demeanour has a lot to do with Jeremy's supposed change of heart.

"She has grown up a lot over the last few months, which is very apparent from her attitude publicly."

"It’s definitely been noted by Jeremy and perhaps this latest move might be a step towards him trying to reach out to her.’

According to reports, while Stephanie is still in hospital, she and her unborn child are doing well.

It looks like Jeremy McConnell has moved on from Stephanie Davis… and her fans aren't happy about it.

The former Big Brother star has been posting pictures on Instagram of himself with a mystery blonde which have sparked a flurry of comments onto his page.

In the first picture, he's standing side by side with his new lady, and captioned the shot: "Catch up with this lil one tonight."

Then just hours later Jez shared another photo of him sitting down on a couch with with the beauty and simply wrote: "Date night."

Of course, this sparked outrage and Steph's fans were quick to comment under his picture.

One follower said, "Want to get your priorities right," while another wrote, "Should be supporting your baby and its mother. Not out with other women."

However, his own fans were quick to stick up for him, with one saying, "Baby daddy or not he can date whoever he wants? You are all tripping out over someone else's life just for drama."

Meanwhile, Steph has her own fans perplexed by the most recent image she posted on Snapchat.

Their friendship in the Celebrity Big Brother house definitely had its ups and downs, but if Megan McKenna's latest column is anything to go by, she can officially draw the line under any relationship she ever had with Stephanie Davis.

Writing for Reveal magazine, Megan weighed in on the drama surrounding Steph and her ex-boyfriend and former housemate, Jeremy McConnell, in a move which isn't going to win her any fans from Steph's camp.

Acknowledging that she's laying herself bare to criticism, Megan insisted: "There’s always two sides to every story."

"I don’t agree with Jez cheating before he knew Steph was pregnant, but people have forgotten that she cheated first, on her ex-boyfriend with Jez… in front of the entire nation," Megan continued.

The 23-year-old reality star then attempted to highlight Jeremy's perspective on the matter, writing: "Everyone’s feeling sorry for Steph because she’s pregnant and putting on the waterworks, but I don’t agree with bringing up a baby in a toxic relationship, that’s what Jez’s point is."

The former Ex on the Beach star sounded fairly certain that the Dubliner would take responsibility in the long run, continuing: "I fully believe he’ll support that child and be there for it, he just doesn’t want to be in a relationship with her."

"It’s both of their responsibilities, but why dish your dirt out all over the place, like Steph has?" Megan asked.

In a message to her former housemate, Megan, who now stars in TOWIE, suggested Steph change her attitude, finishing: "Instead, focus on yourself and your baby, rather than cashing in from bad-mouthing him."

Well, that's gonna go down like a led balloon in the Steph camp.

Stephanie Davis has confirmed that she's expecting a baby boy and that he looks just like her ex, Jeremy McConnell.

The 23-year-old actress, who is four months pregnant, told OK! Magazine about her experiences after undergoing a 4D scan to learn the sex.

"Even at this stage, our son looks just like Jeremy. He's got his skinny long legs and big ears. He decided to have no involvement during the pregnancy, so it's his loss. I went straight to the toilet and cried my eyes out."

She explained that she had her family with her when she discovered that she would welcome a son into the world.

"My mum, best friend, brother, aunt, and two cousins came with me to the appointment and as soon as the monographer told us what I was having, they all burst into tears."

The former Hollyoaks star went on to say "I sat there in shock, staring at the screen. The baby looked so lifelike."

Stephanie and Jeremy met while filming Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, and broke up just weeks later after a very rocky relationship.

Stephanie announced her pregnancy in May 2016, and despite her claims that the child is Jeremey's, the Dublin man has denied that he is the father.

Any die-hard Scarlett Moffatt fan will know that Gogglebox wasn't the Geordie's girl's first foray into reality television.

Oh, long before the Moffatt family invited us into their front room, the family's eldest daughter got a taste of fame during her role in MTV's Beauty School Dropouts.

And it was in this 2013 show that Scarlett and Jeremy McConnell got up close and personal.

Before the Dubliner ever laid eyes on former Hollyoaks actress, Stephanie Davis, in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Jeremy had his sights set on Scarlett, and the feeling was mutual.

Commenting at the time, Scarlett made her feeling for Jeremy known after a sneaky shift, telling producers: "He’s the sexiest leprechaun I’ve ever seen in my life."

But it wasn't only our very own Jezza who caught Scarlett's eye at the time, saying of another cast member: "Richard might not have much going on upstairs but reading never gave me an orgasm."

Indeed Scarlett, indeed.

Whether it was too subtle or too sarky, we're all had moments where we instantly regret a joke we've made on social media.

From realising it hasn't quite landed to sweating over your followers' response to your stand-up material, social media can be a minefield when it comes to the lols as Jeremy McConnell discovered this morning.

After sharing a snap of himself and fellow Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Scotty T, on Twitter, Jezza decided to caption the shot: "Me and Gaz last ni." (sic)

But it wasn't Gaz…and that, ladies, is the joke. (Badum-bum-chiiiii)

Fearful Jeremy had had a lobotomy, the reality star's followers wasted no time schooling him on the Geordie Shore cast, with one writing: "WTF that's Scotty T check again it's defo not gaz lol."

"Awkward moment when you don't even know that it's @ScottGShore and not @GazGShore," added another.

As more and more members of the public took to Twitter to set Jeremy straight, the Dubliner clearly reached the end of his tether, replying: "I know it's Scotty you morons."

Well you can see where the confusion arose Jez…

Rushing to the defence of Jeremy's quality gag, one Twitter user raged: "A majority of tweeters have had a humour bypass. They must have undergone this procedure when they had their brains removed."

Hmmm…we don't know about that one.

With Stephanie Davis revealing her baby bump for the first time during an emotional interview with OK! magazine this week, it looks like Jeremy McConnell is starting to feel the pressure.

Having admitted that her ex-boyfriend's attitude towards her and their relationship left her feeling suicidal, Stephanie definitely didn't hold back when reflecting on the last seven months of this year.

And it looks like the publicity surrounding Stephanie's exclusive interview has lit a fire under the Dubliner who took to social media today to address the issue.

Reiterating his perspective on the situation which kept Big Brother viewers gripped for weeks, Jeremy wrote: "Everything will be dealt with accordingly and mature, but a baby doesn't fix a toxic relationship. End of discussion."

But if Jeremy was looking for support, he was sorely disappointed as irate Twitter users wasted no time calling him out on the rumours which circulated during his time with Stephanie.

"U hit the nail on the dead there. He made the relationship toxic sleeping around," wrote one while another added "Being mature would be having a conversation with each other not over Twitter."

"Shame it's taken her to go through hell and expose her bump to make you care!!" slammed another. "Not too late though love."

With both parties appearing to only communicate with each other through social media, we can't see this situation being resolved any time soon.

Love her or loathe her, there’s no denying that Stephanie Davis has had a fairly rough 2016.

After being publicly derided for cheating on her partner, Sam Reece, with Jeremy McConnell while in the Big Brother house, the former Hollyoaks star became public enemy number one at the beginning of the year.

However, things started to look up for the aspiring singer when her relationship with Dubliner Jeremy appeared to flourish outside the house, before it all went downhill in the glare of the media spotlight.

After more ups and downs than a seesaw, the couple finally called time on their relationship just a few weeks before Stephanie revealed she was pregnant with Jeremy’s child.

While the 23-year-old indeed used social media as a platform to give her side of the story, this decision left her vulnerable to online trolls who poured scorn on her posts and even questioned the validity of her pregnancy claims.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Stephanie confessed that her ex-boyfriend’s attitude in the aftermath of their split left her at her lowest ebb.

"I wouldn’t be alive now if it wasn’t for this baby,’ she revealed during the interview. "Not only was I heartbroken about our split but I was pregnant and all by myself.”

“Then he was throwing all sorts of accusations at me, both privately and on social media, and I couldn’t handle it,” she added.

Exceptionally close to her family, Stephanie revealed that she confided in her parents, saying: ‘I told my parents that I didn’t want to be here anymore and they were so worried that I was going to do something stupid."

"It’s been the worst time of my life – I was suicidal but it gave me something to live for," she added.

Proving that she’s picked herself up after the public fall-out, Stephanie says she's now focused solely on her future, insisting: “I feel like a strong independent woman, I’m going to be the best mum ever.”

Irish model Jeremy McConnell has claimed numerous times that he's not the father of Stephanie Davis' baby and now he says he has proof.

His reason is; she told him she was "on her period" after their split.

Hmmm, OK then, Jez.

The reality star has been denying the claims since the day the news broke that Steph was expecting and he thinks his proof is pretty solid.

He told TV Now: "Look, if she is pregnant it's not my kid. She had her period. We had been broken up."

I think we all know that us gals can bleed even when expecting a baby, so we're not going to take this proof as 100%.

Just a week after insisting he would take responsibility if his former girlfriend, Stephanie Davis, was indeed pregnant, Jeremy McConnell has done a full 180.

With Stephanie telling her Twitter followers that she and her unborn daughter were snuggled up for the evening, the Irish model had his own say, and it doesn't look good for Steph.

"Night people," he wrote in a post last night. "I'm as shocked as all you are at this whole saga, I'm sure you can join the dots yourself. #letmelive."

And when Twitter users attempted to weigh in, Jeremy silenced them fairly swiftly and insisted that the former Hollyoaks star was not carrying his child.

Laying some serious doubt on Steph's story, Jeremy wrote: "It's all lies iv been told by her friends. She's not pregnant with my child, come on." (sic)

While some Twitter users showed their support for Jeremy, others were even quicker to stand up for Stephanie, with one writing: "Maybe if u went to the scan u would know ! Ur regret all this if it turns out she is pregnant with ur baby." (sic)

Since last night's online debate, Jeremy has taken to Twitter again and it looks like he's officially DONE.

"Was gonna stay quiet about the whole thing and just let it come out normally," he wrote. "First of all I'd like to let people know I'm perfectly healthy mind and body, and have took the break up privately, but when me and my family are effected by what I'd call a person with no shame." (sic)

"She is slandering me and trying to portray me in a certain light for a reason, to make me look like a terrible lad,  people can choose to believe it or not, I do not care."

"For months she was seeing Sam behind my back and now in Ibiza together," Jeremy told Twitter followers. "It will all unfold in time. People don't know what I put up with in that relationship, I was never perfect but please don't believe 90% of what she says," Jeremy begged.

Finishing the post, he simply said: "I'v messed up but I'd never be as evil. This will be my last message about her. #bookclosed." (sic)

Yikes!

It sounds like former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Jeremy McConnell, is having one hell of a week.

Following an Instagram upload which suggests he is expecting a child with former girlfriend Staphanie Davis, the Irish model has been labelled 'scum' (among other things) by social media users who feel he has treated Steph unfairly since they began dating at the start of the year.

While Jez has opened up since Steph's heartwrenching announcement and insisted he'll always take responsibility for his actions, it doesn't look like his response had done much to curry favour with the press or public.

Having been compared to the late Amy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, Jeremy has wasted no time hitting out at the comparison and took to Twitter to voice his opinion.

"You know there's something wrong if the papers are comparing you to Amy Winehouse ex Blake," he posted alongside a crying-laughing emoji.

Fortunately for Jeremy, this post has been better received than previous ones with fans and followers offering their support.

"You need to speak to Stephanie face to face and sort things out, its not just you two now," wrote one while another tweeted: "Seriously? Why cant they just leave you guys alone! The papers ruin people's life's." (sic)

Watch this space.
