Niall Horan has revealed that he had to sneak into the One Direction Croke Park concert in the back of a delivery van!

The Mullingar singer spent the days before his epic Dublin concerts in May catching up with his friends and family in his hometown.

And now he’s revealed how he snuck past hundreds of thousands of fans to get into the stadium.

He said, “I snuck into Croke Park in the back of a transit van. There was a couch in the back.  I was on that.”

Crafty!

Niall said he is still bowled over by appearing in front of crowds of up to 80,000 every night on their stadium tour.

He said, “It’s very loud. It’s amazing.”

After days of speculation, the country singer has revealed that none of the five concerts will be taking place in Croke Park.

The country singer said he was broken hearted at the Dublin City Council’s decision.

The singer released a statement this evening:

"I have always been advised to NEVER send a message in “the moment.”

"It is said it is best to take a walk, wait awhile, and think about it.

"With that said, I just received the news the Irish council cannot change their earlier ruling to not allow the licenses for all five shows.

"To say I am crushed is an understatement.  All I see is my mother’s face and I hear her voice.

"She always said things happen for a reason and for the right reason.

"As hard as I try, I cannot see the light on this one.  So it is with a broken heart, I announce the ticket refunds for the event will go as posted by TicketMaster."

Garth went on to thank authorities "for going the distance for all of us who wanted to share songs and dance together."

The 52-year-old said: " I really want to thank all the people around the world that continued to think good thoughts that this would actually happen.

"Most of all, to Peter Aiken and those 400,000 people who believed enough to go through what they have been through to get to this point…I love you, always have, always will.

"I encourage any and all of them that can come see the show, at some point around the world, to bring your Irish flags and waive them proudly at the concerts. I will be looking for you.…garth."

About 50 fans have taken to the streets of Dublin to protest Dublin City Council's decision not to grant a license for the five night event.

The fans marched from the GPO to the DCC offices to voice their disagreement at the decision, complete with signs and cowboy hats!

Many of the protesters described how they had travelled far and wide for the concerts and now feel severely let down by the turn of events.

There has been no update on the concerts as of yet, which were due to be held from the 25th to the 29th July.

There is bad news for fans heading to Garth Brooks concerts at the end of the month as it has been revealed that Dublin City Council have only granted a licence for THREE out of the five gigs.

The news comes following a debate by local residents campaigning against the concerts on the grounds of a 2009 written agreement stating that only three concerts each year were to be held at the venue.

There has already been three concerts in Croke Park this year so far following One Direction last month.

The dates of which concerts have not been given a licence has not been revealed.

Niall Horan’s older brother Greg has further fuelled rumours that he has fallen out with Niall by selling what look like anti-boyband t-shirts.

Greg previously admitted that the only way that he was able to keep up with his brother’s movements was through following the media.

Greg sparked rumours that he and Niall were not getting along, when he revealed that  he was “done” with Niall and the One Direction family after their recent Croke Park gigs.

“I’m so hurt, it’s not even funny anymore.”

But now 1D fans are speculating things have worsened between Niall and Greg, after the One Direction star’s sibling started a new online venture.

The 27-year-old was selling “Boy Bands Stole My Heart”  tops on Twitter this evening and it’s believed that Greg receives some commission for selling these t-shirts, due to special code attached to his tweets.

We hope whatever is going on between Greg and Niall that it gets sorted soon. niallandbrother boybandt-shirt

This has to be the best selfie of One Direction’s Croke Park concert – if not the world!

Niall Horan took to Twitter to share a snap of himself posing with some of the band’s biggest fans in the shape of Irish rugby hunks Cian Healy, Brian O’Driscoll and Jamie Heaslip.

Niall posted the photo on Twitter with the message, “Had these legends at the show last night! Brian o’driscoll , @ProperChurch @jamieheaslip !the best selfie I’ve taken ever ! #kings”.

Cian Healy also shared his own snap of the lads on Twitter, and cheekily implied that Niall could take a leaf out of their book when it came to keeping in very….very good shape.

“We need to teach @niallhoran how to squat!!” he wrote, referring to himself and his rugby pals as “#ClosetDirectioners”!

We wouldn’t mind watching that workout!

One Direction’s Niall Horan, couldn’t resist a shout out to his hometown Mullingar, at last night’s gig.

Niall was commenting on the Sligo to Dublin train which just happened to be passing near Croke Park. He then revealed to Harry that was the same train that stopped in Mullingar.

Harry then of course joined in with the crowd when it came to chanting about “the best town in Ireland”.

When standing in front of half of Dublin, the last thing you want to do is mortify yourself!

Sadly that’s exactly what happened to Liam Payne when he was left red-faced after falling flat on his back during One Direction’s concert at Croke Park last night.

CRINGE!

After the gig, the 20-year-old hit Twitter to laugh off the fall with his 16 million fans.

“Well you gotta think on the bright side of these things least I get to watch myself on a fail compilation on YouTube,” he joked.

It was ALL about Niall Horan – as the One Direction lads took to the stage last night to launch the first of three sell-out gigs in Dublin.

Around a quarter of a million fans camped out in the rain outside Croke park, bursting with excitement as the countdown began for the moment they’d all been waiting for!

After a warm-up from Aussie boyband 5 Seconds of Summer, the lads took to the stage.

Stunned fans looked up to the skies when an entire warehouse worth of fireworks went off, as the band opened with Midnight Memories.

From there on in, the gig couldn’t have gotten more Irish, as Niall rocked out on stage decked out in the Irish jersey with a guitar in hand.

At one stage, Niall even led the lads at an attempt of an Irish dance while blasting out the chorus of Pat Shortt’s classic Jumbo Breakfast Roll.

Harry Styles even had one or two stories about Niall for the crowd, who were loving seeing the Mullingar singer on his home turf!

An emotional Niall called the experience, the “best night” of his life.

The lads will take the stage again tonight and Sunday – and fans are in a BIG treat!

While Niall is no doubt in full swing with the lads at Croke Park right now, he certainly knew how to relax before the big concert ahead.

Niall was spotted golfing yesterday with Rugby favourite, Brian O’Driscoll.

The two friends were spotted at the K Club, while Brian drove around the course with Niall sitting beside him.

While we are loving this bromance, this isn’t the first time the Irish legends have met. In 2013 Brian gave the One Direction star a signed Ireland Rugby Jersey with the name Horan placed on the back.

We hope these two, will spend more time together in the future!
