Taking to Instagram earlier today, the 33-year-old shared the joyful news by posting a heartwarming snap of her new bundle of joy. The black-and-white image showcases Ailbhe’s baby boy snuggling into her.

In the caption of her post, Ailbhe – who is the sister of Dancing With The Stars host Doireann – decided to share her son’s name with her followers.

“Our smallest boy, Fionn Hehir made his appearance into the world on 16/01/2023 at 6.06pm,” Ailbhe gushed in her caption.

“Looking just like his big brother Seán, we are so in love and feeling so blessed,” she added, referring to her firstborn, two-year-old Seán.

Since announcing her little one’s arrival, Ailbhe has received an influx of congratulations and well-wishes from many famous faces.

“Awe congratulations Xxxxxxx”, penned TV presenter Lucy Kennedy.

“What a beautiful baby boy – huge congrats to you all!”, commented radio host Paula MacSweeney.

“We love you already Fionn”, added proud auntie Doireann.

Ailbhe and Ruaidhri announced in August of last year that they were expecting their second child together. In an adorable post, the pair showcased their son Seán raising his hands in delight, with some sonogram snaps resting beside him.

“Hands up if you’re gona be a big brother,” Ailbhe teased in her caption at the time. “Feeling beyond lucky to be expecting baby no.2 in early 2023”.

Ailbhe and Ruaidhri have been married since October 2019, when they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Doolin, Co. Clare, surrounded by their closest family and friends. They subsequently welcomed their first child into the world in August 2020.

The Road Safety Authority is urging road users to be careful, after revealing that road fatality statistics have already had an increase of 50% this year.

In the first three weeks of January 2023, nine people have lost their lives on Irish roads – four pedestrians, three drivers and two passengers. This statistic is double what it was during the same time period last year, when six people died.

In total, the number of deaths on Irish roads increased by 14% last year, and road safety campaigners are already concerned that the figures for 2023 could reach new highs.

The chairperson for the RSA, Liz O'Donnell, has insisted that all road users need to come together to increase road safety and lower the risk of any further deaths across the country.

"We have a shared responsibility to always be safety aware on our roads – and to pay special attention to motorcyclists, cyclists, and pedestrians," she noted. "We simply must get back on track and reverse the increase in deaths.”

"It means that all of us must accept greater responsibility when using the road and become custodians and champions for safety on the road,” she explained, before adding that the RSA is eager to reach their target to cut road deaths and serious injuries by 50% by 2030.

However, road safety campaigners have argued that it is not solely up to motorists and pedestrians to cut down the rate of road fatalities, and that those in power must take up responsibility too.

"The RSA is not helping to ease the already pressurised workload forced on members of the Garda Roads Policing Units by allowing extremely high numbers of learner drivers to continually drive on our roads without ever sitting a test," defended PARC founder Susan Grey.

The campaigner has urged the Government to put a legal requirement in place for learner drivers to take a driving test before re-applying for their learner permit.

Only time will tell if any new laws will be put in place, or if the number of fatalities on our roads will ease in the months ahead.

Heather El Moussa is preparing to welcome her baby boy into the world very soon but in the meantime, the Selling Sunset star has shared a sweet tribute to her step-daughter.

Heather is expecting her first child with her husband Tarek El Moussa. The 35-year-old is step-mum to Tarek’s two children- 12-year-old Taylor and seven-year-old Brayden.

Alongside a cute snap of her and Taylor hugging shared to her 3M Instagram followers, El Moussa penned, “Got so lucky with this one. I met Tay when she was a little girl and the second I met her, I knew my life was going to change”.

“She melted my heart. She opened her heart to me day one of meeting her. There was never an “awkward” phase for us”.

Heather continued, “Not everyone can understand the close relationship I have with the kids & that’s fine, all that matters is how we feel. The kids made me want to have kids, I love my role as their bonus mom”.

“For anyone who’s asked me about how the kids have been throughout my pregnancy: my honest answer is that they’ve been amazing. Bray checks on me constantly and is so sweet about my belly and Tay couldn’t be more excited to have another baby brother”.

The reality TV star added, “She is so caring beyond her years. And told daddy “if I’m at school and Heather goes into labour, call the school right away so I can talk to her & tell her good luck & I love her”.

Tarek, who is also a real estate investor, commented on the post to say, “My girls”.

When revealing she was expecting, Heather also mentioned her step-children in a sweet pregnancy announcement. She wrote, “After months and months of trying and after being a step mommy to Tarek’s beautiful kids for the past 3 years… I get to be a mommy, myself”.

Charlotte Crosby and her boyfriend Jake Ankers welcomed their beautiful baby girl into the world in October of last year.

The Geordie Shore star has now opened up about her labour, recovery and motherhood experience to her 8.4M Instagram followers.

While sharing a life update as she answered questions from fans, Charlotte explained what her experience with an elective C-section was like and why she chose to have one when giving birth to baby Alba.

“Right so recovery, so it's hard to explain and everyone is very different. I've had friends who felt very able to just get up and get to things like 2 / 3 weeks after the op!”.

The new mum added, “But for me, I felt certain little twinges in my scar when I would move or turn a certain way, so I genuinely felt I had to be really careful for the full 6 weeks!”.

“I was in absolutely no pain at all, but I knew I still wasn't fully healed so I did admittedly get frustrated at like week 4 / 5 because I literally wanted to be bouncing around doing somersaults but something in the back of my head was like no no be careful”.

The 32-year-old was then asked by a follower why she didn’t have a natural birth, to which Charlotte answered with a personal and touching response.

“Because ultimately I had a choice of how I wanted to deliver my baby girl (a choice in which we all have by the way)”.

“That choice was one of which I knew exactly how it was going to go with little chances of complications or risks to her health or life”.

Credit: Instagram

Crosby continued, “After losing a baby and nearly losing my own life in a complicated pregnancy in the past I'm not willing to risk anything now and also I have zero desire or urge to want a natural birth”.

“I'll never rule it out in the future but right now it's a no go for me”.

The reality TV star suffered an ectopic pregnancy in 2016 while she was filming Ex on the Beach, which led her fallopian tube to split and caused internal bleeding.

The 34-year-old captioned the sweet post, “Baby Edney No2… Oh we can’t wait to meet you. We are absolutely over the moon that we will be adding another bubba to our family summer 2023”.

Colin Farrell is inches away from an Oscar nomination!

The actor is currently receiving critical acclaim for his role in Martin McDonagh’s film The Banshees of Inisherin. Last week, the 46-year-old won a Best Actor award at the Golden Globes. Now, Colin is receiving lots of Oscar buzz – and particularly from one very special person.

A close friend of Colin’s, Emma Fogarty, is convinced that he will receive an Academy Award nomination this awards season – and will then go on to win it!

38-year-old Emma was born with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), commonly referred to as Butterfly Skin, which causes her skin and internal body linings to blister.

Almost 80% of her body is covered in open wounds, and in order to prevent infection as much as possible, Emma has to apply fresh bandages at least every two days. It is a very long and painful process, and it can last between three and four hours.

Emma and Colin have been in contact for the past few years, and she was even his guest of honour at the Irish premiere of The Banshees of Inisherin.

Emma took to Instagram following 46-year-old Colin’s Golden Globe win, and expressed how delighted she was for him. “I could not, not NOT be more proud of #ColinFarrell. This man is jaw droppingly gifted. And more importantly, a wonderful friend,” the Co. Laois woman gushed.

“Loved the film. When I hugged & congratulated you after the #IrishPremiere I had a premonition that many awards were about to come your way,” Emma penned. “Now, I believe a truly well-deserved #Oscar is coming home to one of the greats of Irish Film & Drama.”

Colin has undertaken several charitable activities to raise as much awareness and funds for Emma's condition as possible. In 2018, the actor completed a tough 36km bike ride to raise money for DEBRA Ireland, a charity that supports those affected by EB.

In June 2020, Colin then cycled 36km on his exercise bike in the United States, while Emma completed the same distance in her wheelchair along her local route, with the help of her assistant.

We’re sending our best wishes to both of them!

Charlotte Crosby has been opening up about motherhood!

The former star of Geordie Shore welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Alba, into the world last October with her boyfriend Jake Ankers.

In order to let her 8.4M Instagram followers into her own experiences as a mum so far, the 32-year-old sent out a request for her fans to submit any questions they had for her.

This afternoon, alongside an answer to a fan asking her how she found having an elective section, Charlotte shared a never-before-seen image of herself and Jake looking lovingly at baby Alba following her birth.

“It was the most calm, beautiful and most amazing experience of my entire life,” the new mum gushed. “I would go back and do it again and again and again, tomorrow if I could.”

“My birth and hospital experience was the most incredible experience of my whole life,” Charlotte added honestly.

Then, in a hilarious twist, another fan submitted a response into Charlotte’s question box, teasing that she will be a mum-of-eight someday.

“I think you might be just right,” Charlotte joked alongside numerous cry-laughing emojis.

“This is the best job I’ve ever had being a mother. And I love to go overboard it’s my thing,” she added teasingly.

Lastly, Charlotte used her platform to comfort an expectant mum who expressed worries about becoming a mum for the first time. “My first tip is TO NOT BE SCARED! Try and erase everything anyone has told you that’s negative so far,” the reality star insisted.

“Things will change but in a lovely beautiful way! And the one true thing that I got told is that somehow things just come naturally to you,” Charlotte promised.

We think that’s great advice, Charlotte!

To mark National Hug Day on January 21, The Ronald McDonald House has teamed up with Adam King to appeal to the public to send a hug to a loved one.

You can support the appeal by sending Barróg the teddy bunny to someone special in aid of families with sick children.

Barróg is the Irish for hug and by giving this hug to a loved one, the hug will give back to support families whose children are seriously ill in hospital. All proceeds from the purchase of Barróg go directly to supporting the families staying at The Ronald McDonald House.

The Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation and a caring, supportive environment for families whose children are seriously ill at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, Ireland’s largest paediatric hospital.

With the help of The Ronald McDonald House, families can stay together and be involved in their sick children’s day to day life while they are in hospital long-term.

Since opening 18 years ago it has been home to over 5,000 families from across the country.

The charity also provides over 12,000 meals a year to these families with the help of volunteers and donated produce from James Whelan Butchers, sponsors of the charity’s National Hug Day 2023 campaign.

Joe Kenny, the CEO of The Ronald McDonald House, said, “At The Ronald McDonald House we believe that family is medicine. Being together, being close and, of course, hugs are a crucial part of a child’s road to recovery”.

“We have 20 families of seriously ill children stay at The Ronald McDonald House every night which means a lot of hugs happen under our roof. Sometimes it’s hugs of joy and celebration, other times it can be hugs of compassion and comfort, but always there’s hugs of hope for better days to come”.

He added, “Sending a Barróg hug in time for National Hug Day is a great way to get behind these families while letting someone special in your own life know that you’re thinking of them”.

David King, the dad of national treasure and king of the Virtual Hug, Adam King, explained how important the campaign and charity is.

“As parents who have spent a lot of time in hospital at home and abroad, we know all too well the stresses a prolonged stay caring for your child can bring. Your attention is very much focused on improving the outcomes for your precious child, so thinking about a roof over your head, where your next meal is coming from or when you’ll see your other children are all added worries you don’t need”.

"That is why we are delighted to support the wonderful work of The Ronald McDonald House. It’s such a natural fit for our values as parents, as well as Adam’s message of spreading love and kindness through hugs!".

“Adam and his bunny, Bubby, have found a new friend in Barróg and I can confirm that Barróg is certainly up for the job of hugging the nation on the 21st of January this year”.

Another family who know all too well about spending time in hospital and have received support from The Ronald McDonald House is the Barnes-Asbo family from Cork. They first stayed there for 604 nights while Kian was being treated for leukemia.

Dad, Charlie explained, “The support we received went beyond a warm meal or a comfortable bed. Everyone saw us as the Barnes-Aabo family, not just a family with a chronically ill child. Everyone knew us as individuals in the House and it provided a sense of normalcy and strength that we wouldn’t have had otherwise”.

To send someone a special Barróg hug, visit www.rmhc.ie. Each Barróg gift set, including a Barróg bunny, personalised gift card and gift, can be purchased for a special price of €10 ex p&p.

You can also support The Ronald McDonald House on National Hug Day, January 21, in 11 Dunnes Stores nationwide as volunteers shake buckets and sell Barróg “National Hug Day” pins.

While speaking to OK!, Joe, also known as The Body Coach online, revealed all about life as a dad. The 37-year-old explained, “When you’ve got three kids, it’s all about teamwork…We’ve always said five kids would be the dream”.

“I just love big families. If you have the space, and you can give them a nice life, then why not”.

He continued, “We will have a little break now because obviously Rosie has just had one and we’re going to Coachella next year, so we’re not trying for a baby. But we do want another if all goes well in the future”.

When chatting about his favourite parts of being a dad, Wicks revealed, “I like seeing their sense of humour and their personalities. Marley is like me, I was naturally a bit of a clown and an attention seeker and wanted to make people laugh as a kid, and he’s like that”.

“And Indie is so loving and kind like Rosie”, he sweetly admitted. “I just like having that positive effect and knowing you’re raising really lovely people who will hopefully go on to do nice things”.

Speaking candidly about the difficulties of parenting and his own childhood, the Lean in 15 author explained, “The crying, the tantrums, the meltdowns. I’m reading a book called What Young Children Need You To Know because I’m trying to learn how to be a more patient parent”.

“It’s not naturally easy for me, whereas Rosie is quite calm and relaxed. Parenting is usually a product of your own upbringing and I was shouted at a lot as a kid, so I don’t want to be an angry dad”.

Joe and his wife Rosie are proud parents to four-year-old India, three-year-old Marley and baby Leni, whom they welcomed into the world in September of last year.
