Late last year it was announced that Warner Bros. will be creating a prequel to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Since then, rumours have been rife as to who will play Willy Wonka, after Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp did such stellar performances in the role.
And now, one name in the line up has finally been dropped, and we have to say, we like it a lot.
According to That Hashtag Show, Ryan Gosling has been named to take on the role of the sweet factory owner.

After his performance in La La Land, we think he'd be a perfect fit for the crazy, yet lovable, character.
Even though the storyline to the prequel has not been confirmed, it has been reported that it will surround the life of a young Willy Wonka, and how he became friends with the Oompa Loompas during one of his early adventures.
