The X Factor quarter final weekend was certainly not without drama, as not one but two contestants succumbed to illness.

On last night's results show, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was heard "screaming" for help as one of her singers, Celina from 4th Impact, collapsed and fell to the floor.

Celina reportedly fainted and was "out cold" for around five minutes, shortly after she and her sisters were booted off the show in favour of Lauren Murray.

The Filipino singer was taken off stage by paramedics and brought to an ambulance.

Although her mentor Cheryl remained on stage for The Xtra Factor, viewers said she looked "visibly shaken."

Later the band tweeted to let fans know Celina was doing better, while Cheryl thanked all four girls for being "most gracious, humble & special little souls.":

It's not the first time Celina has suffered health issues during her stint in the show – a few weeks back she fainted before a performance and struggled to stay standing as she sang with her sisters.

In the end, a chair was brought on stage for her to sit on as the judges rushed through their post-performance comments.

Of course, 4th Impact weren't the only ones dogged by health issues this week.

The show's favourite to win, Louisa Johnson, has been separated from her fellow contestants due to a nasty throat infection which Simon Cowell worries will spread.

Louisa admitted on Saturday night's show that she was in pain and said only "adrenaline" had helped her to make it through her renditions of Justin Bieber's Love Yourself and Labyrinth's Jealous.

For now the contestants have been urged to sleep in separate rooms in the X Factor house, and producers have been doling out the Lemsip and hand sanitiser.

"If any of the other contestants come down with the same thing we will really struggle," a source told The Sun.

"Olly [Murs] is also sick and struggling. The bugs going round at the moment are really nasty."

A collapse and a throat virus… hopefully that's the end of the X Factor illnesses for this year.

Simon Cowell has been quite candid about his love for smoking, but for this year's X Factor, it's costing the judge quite a bit.

Due to strict rules in the studio, anyone who is smoking inside has to pay a fine of £100 (€141), which means for every single smoke he takes, he has to pay that amount, costing him thousands during the series.

With the judge's tight time schedule during filming, and his love of tobacco, the 56-year-old has been forced to light-up despite it being classed as a place of work.

The severe pace of the show is said to be why the record label executive couldn't wait till after the cameras stopped rolling.

The insider explained to The Mirror: 'Simon makes no secret of the fact that he enjoys a cigarette to help him relax and obviously being on the judging panel while also running the show is very stressful."

Think you can body-shame Caroline Flack and get away with it? Not a hope.

The X Factor presenter took to Twitter last night to show she can give as good as she gets when it comes to harsh Twitter comments.

After she appeared on Sunday night's X Factor in a fitted strapless black dress, Caroline spotted several negative comments online about her supposed "weight gain," and took to social media to set things right.

"It's very easy to take a shot at someone online," she wrote in response to the cruel posts about her appearance.

"The vile comments about my weight and just all round look tonight are quite shocking.

"Have never said I'm the prettiest or thinnest or even anything special… But thank god I'm not horrible… Cool attitudes."

Comments posted after last night's show suggested Caroline had "ballooned" in weight, with some people even saying she looked "pregnant."

This isn't the first time the presenter has dealt with backlash in the press and online.

In her new autobiography, Storm In A C Cup, she recalls the frustration she felt after her brief relationship with Harry Styles – 15 years her junior – went public.

"It began to go wrong when he was pictured coming out of my house one morning.

"And that was that. In the street people started shouting 'paedophile' at me in the street and 'pervert.'"

Let's hope this is the last night Caroline has to deal with such unwarranted negativity.

Even with a total revamp this year, The X Factor is struggling to keep ratings up – in fact last week's results show pulled in less viewers than Antiques Roadshow in the UK.

With that in mind, we reckon ITV producers were either furious or delighted with Rita Ora's on-air gaffe on Saturday night.

After all, forgetting your contestant's name isn't exactly professional, but it's one way to drum up some extra publicity for the show.

The singer was introducing Monica Michaels for her Reinvention Week performance when she went blank, completely forgetting the contestant's name.

"Coming up next we have someone who is amazing," she confidently told the audience, before stumbling and adding, "It’s my girl… It’s my girl…"

Simon Cowell can be heard in the background saying, "Who is it? You’ve forgotten, haven’t you?" while Rita hunts for a clue in her notes.

In the end Cheryl shoots her some VERY evil eyes and mutters "It's Monica," while Rita laughs the whole thing off, saying "I'm only joking, it's Monica."

Talk about an awkward moment. Take a look below from 0:55:

Even from early on in the new series, Rita has been less than committed, pulling out of auditions due to other commitments.

Hopefully she gets her act together in time for next week.

The final twelve X Factor contestants have been put through months of gruelling auditions, trials and competitions, but now it seems the lucky dozen can live in luxury for the rest of their time on the show.

The Mail Online exclusively revealed that this year's X Factor house is in Barnet's Beech Hill, North London and costs a cool £7m (€9m) to buy or £20,000 (€27,000) to rent each month.

It comes complete with a cinema room, an indoor swimming pool and a steam room as well as a state-of-the-art car lift (OK, then?).

The seven-bedroom detached property is in one of London's most prestigious streets and described by estate agents as a 'premier road', where homes are entered via high electric gates.

The gates open up into a large driveway where cars can collect contestants and take them to the show's nearby studio.

The unveiling of the property comes after X Factor judges Simon, Cherly, Rita and Nick chose their final three acts for the live rounds of the show.

Judge Nick Grimshaw selected Mason Noise, Che Chesterman and Seann Miley Moore as his final three Boys, while Rita Ora announced Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Keira Weathers as her Girls.

Cheryl Fernandez Versini has 4th Impact, Alien Uncovered, and Reggie n Bollie as her Groups.

Simon Cowell has Max Stone, Bupsi and Anton Stephans in his Overs category.

First, we heard the news that Liam Payne is planning to write songs for other boybands, and now it has been revealed that Louis Tomlinson is planning to work at Simon Cowell's record label Syco.

The boyband star is set to run his own label imprint, as well as guest star on The X Factor.

That will bring Louis and Simon back together to put some new talent out there, including potentially a “girl band,” as Louis told The X Factor’s Xtra recently.

“I’ve got, like, a little label imprint, so I’m trying to work with that at the moment,” Louis told hosts Melvin and Rochelle.

“I’m lucky enough to be working with Simon. We’ve got a few different projects going on at the moment — one of which is we’re actually trying to put a girl band together."

"Yeah, it’s just really exciting to be involved in the different side of it, the background.”

Just days after making it through to the Judges' Houses, singer Tom Bleasby is leaving The X Factor.

The 19-year-old wowed the judges with his first audition back in August, and on Sunday was chosen to be one of Nick Grimshaw's final six contestants.

But after referring to Sunday's Six Chair Challenge as "the worst experience of my life," Tom took to Twitter last night to confirm he was leaving the show.

"Due to personal reasons I have decided to withdraw from The X Factor," he wrote.

"Thank you to all the judges, especially Nick for his belief in me.

"I'm not stopping singing, the X Factor is just one path…one that wasn't right for me."

During Sunday's show, Tom eventually secured a place in the final six after being swapped out by Nick in the Six Chair Challenge and then brought back in.

Despite his shock exit, BBC host Nick offered his support to Tom via Twitter last night:

In his exit interview with ITV, Tom said he simply wasn't ready for the intense pressure of the show.

The singer, who sang on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with Jessie J shortly before his first X Factor appearance, admitted his rise to stardom had happened extremely quickly.

"I’m quite a relatively new singer, back in March, I was singing in my bedroom, so I’ve never took to live performing very well.

"I just don’t know if I felt vocally ready to take on the competition and the pressure."

Jessie J also tweeted a message of support to Tom last night, telling him: "You didn't just trust your instincts, you followed them."

The X Factor winner Sam Bailey won the singing contest back in 2013, and to be honest, she hasn't really done much since then.

But in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Sam slammed Beyoncé asking, "Who does she think she is?"

The former winner said Queen Bey didn't have the "decency" to say hello when she opened for her in Birmingham as part of her X Factor prize.

"I supported Beyoncé as part of my X Factor prize, but she didn't even bother to meet me. I'd never do that. I'd have the decency to say hello."

"Who does she think she is?!"

"But I got my own back. When she was on stage, I was at the front, and while she was proper going for it my son spent the whole time playing Minecraft on his iPad."

Yep, Sam, we're sure that really hurt Beyoncé's feelings!

She also spoke about this year's X Factor judging line up and revealed she's not keen on Nick Grimshaw or Rita Ora.

Sam also got dropped from Simon Cowell's Syco Record Label earlier this year, something she says has made her happier in general.

Rita Ora  is seen suffering from a serious bout of anxiety on tonight's X Factor.

The singer, 24, is the first to be faced with the new Six Chair Challenge – in which she must whittle down her Girls from 16 to six – alongside her fellow judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw.

But Rita visibly struggles making her choice between two contestants, as the audience reacts aggressively.

"The crowd is crazy out there. I think I'm having a mini panic attack. Oh my God! I feel so sick."

The audience then begin to boo and mock her for not making a choice, to which she tearfully says: "I can't do it. I actually can't do it."

She then goes on to say, "It's getting definitely intense. I'm probably the most hated person in the UK right now. It's so unfair. This is the hardest thing in the world – they hate me right now."

Rita is then seen falling out with main judge Simon, calling him "rude" as they fight about the contestants.

With this amount of drama, tonight's episode will not want to be missed!

He never actually finished school – leaving Coláiste Mhuire in Mullingar when he was 16 and on the cusp of international stardom.

And while Niall Horan has since confessed that he wasn't always the most dedicated pupil in the classroom, he evidently was paying attention during French.

In a video clip posted to Instagram late last night, the 22-year-old One Directioner can be seen asking Mark, a burly member of his entourage, where they're off the next.

The best part? He asks in lightning-quick, très bien français.

The post has now notched up more than 400,000 likes and has attracted numerous comments which compliment Mr Horan on his pronunciation and proficiency.

En route to French-speaking Montreal in Canada, Niall and the rest of his One Direction bandmates last night performed at the Olympic Stadium as part of their On The Road Again tour, which concludes in October.

The pop-star was due to sit his Leaving Cert back in 2012, but after finding success on The X Factor in 2010, he left school aged 16.

He later spoke of his regret that he never got to see out his days in the classroom.

"My childhood was cut short by The X Factor," Niall explained last year. "One Direction took off and I never really got the chance to finish school or do my exams or anything like that."

As we all know The X Factor has undergone a MAJOR transformation this year – full of new judges and new presenters (not to mention no Louis Walsh).

But boss-man Simon Cowell has given the newbies a huge warning, telling them they're going to have to work hard in order to maintain their part on the reality TV show.

Earlier this year, we saw (random, we know) Nick Grimshaw, 31, and Rita Ora, 24, replace judges Louis Walsh and Mel B – with Cheryl, 32, also returning to the show.

But The Daily Star reported during the week that Simon Cowell will ask Louis Walsh back on to the judging panel in a flash if Rita and Nick fail to impress.

We don't blame Simon either: Strictly Come Dancing consistently beat The X Factor in TV ratings last year – and it already seems unlikely the latter will be able to turn that around in 2015.

Still, Simon, 55, wants the show to be as controversial as it can be in order to get the series back on top of its game.

“If they’re not talking about you then you’ve got a problem," he also told The Star. "I think it’s a good thing. I think we’re lucky"

“When you have the opportunity to make a couple of shows like ours then there’s more fun than problems".

We can't wait to see all the drama in store!

It's been a year of losses for The X Factor, and now the show is set to say goodbye to yet another family member.

The iconic voice of the live shows will be no more, as voiceover artist Peter Dickson has revealed he won't be appearing on the upcoming series.

"After the best 11 years with the X Factor, it's time for me to check out and cut loose," he wrote on Twitter today," prompting shock and sadness from fans of the show.

"X Factor isn't going to be the same without you," wrote one follower. "But you're the best thing on it," wrote another.

Over the years Peter's voice has become as synonymous with the show as Simon Cowell's nasty comments and Cheryl's Geordie accent. From his iconic slogan, "It's time… to face… THE MUSIC" to his impeccable pronunciation of Rachel Adedeji's name, the show will be a different place without him.

Peter's shock departure follows months of dramatic changes to the show's lineup, which saw Dermot O'Leary leaving his post as presenter, Louis Walsh and Mel B ending their tenure as judges, and Sarah-Jane Crawford saying goodbye to The Xtra Factor.

With the first round auditions starting across the UK earlier this month, Olly Murs and Caroline Flack took up the reigns as co-hosts, while Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw joined the judge's table alongside Cheryl and Simon.

This year's live shows are set to be very different indeed…
