Modern Family star Sarah Hyland has hit back at a defamatory article which insinuates that she has a drinking problem. 

The article, which was published in OK! Magazine, used comments made by the pretty actress out of context and alleged that the star has a drinking problem. 

According to the article, Sarah loved being at home with "a glass [of wine], or maybe two bottles. All I want is pizza and wine. Correction. More wine."

The piece went on to claim that the star was seen downing four glasses of wine over a lunch in the city of Brentwood, California. 

How many of us have joked with friends over needed several glasses of wine? All of us, we bet. 

The 25-year-old has hit back at the article in a jokey way, tweeting "Hahahaha the most ridiculous thing about this article is me having lunch in Brentwood. #dominosathome."

Yep, Domino's at home. And wine. She sounds like our kind of girl (and also like every girl we have ever known.)

Creating a dark lip is actually really easy:

  • Make sure your lips are well moisturised
  • Then use a primer to completely cover your lips
  • Outline the outer parts, concentrating on the cupid's bow and around the corners
  • Then choose your fave dark lip colour and apply carefully (we don't want any smudges!)
  • Set the look with some make-up setting spray

We were somewhat worried when we released that blue eyeshadow (hello, dodgy teenage years) was once again becoming a bit of a thing. 

Now we have yet more beauty news of concern: frosted lips are also definitely having a serious resurgence. 

And while you might cringe at your own past disasters (or, ya know, look in hopeless wonder at the likes of Pam Anderson) – the modern, 2015 trend for frosted lips is WAY more refined than it was in the 90s.

For that you can thank better formulas that don't reflect light in such an, ahem, intense way. 

"Today, we have new technology, frosted lipsticks have better light reflectivity than they used to," says top make-up artist Phillippe Chansel.

"Because of the finer pearl particles, they deliver a smoother finish and an even application." 

He also told Refinery 29: "Not to mention that the background shades of the frosts are also more flattering – think berries, bronzes, and warm neutrals rather than bubblegum pink and washed out tan."

She has one of the most coveted figures in Hollywood – and Sarah Hyland has now shared some insight into just how hard she works to get that killer body.

The actress, who over the weekend also shared a serious #bodygoals gym snap in which she dons a tiny monochrome crop top, has revealed that when it comes to exercise, she LOVES to mix it up.

The 24-year-old New Yorker, who is currently embarking on a more intense training schedule, took to Instagram last night. In the resulting snap, shared with her 2.2million followers, Sarah dons a tiny grey and neon crop-top and navy Yoga pants. 

She is suspended from the ceiling – evidently taking part in a challenging aerial silks workout. 

"Stepping out of my box and trying new fun things for myself!" she captioned the photograph, adding lightheartedly: "Gonna join the circus."

Also known as antigravity yoga, the exercise involves a mixture of the likes of yoga, ballet and Pilates – all carried out on silk hammocks. Advocates say it strengthens, lengthens and tones your physique fast.

However, in the March issue of Cosmopolitian, Ms Hyland furthermore admitted that she's a big fan of fast food. The Modern Family star even said she "would eat Taco Bell every day!" if she thought she could get away with it.

She is currently dating Dominic Sherwood, 25, an actor and model, and the pair regularly go hiking, biking and walking together around Los Angeles.

Sarah Hyland won’t tell us anything!

Well, actually, she’s willing to tell us plenty about her new boyfriend. But nothing about co-star Sofia Vergara’s super-secret wedding.

With a recent conversation with E! News the Modern Family Star couldn’t stop gushing over her new found love.

According to Sarah “he's an amazing person”, and the two became close friends when shooting their film Vampire Academy.

The two have been spotted looking very loved up around various California locations and according to Sarah have been seeing each other since November.

While she wasn’t afraid to lift the lid on her own love-life, Sarah was careful to avoid spilling the beans on any of the details of Sofia’s upcoming wedding.

 We were all hoping for some decent scoop about the big day when Sofia and her fiancé Joe Manganiello, formerly of True Blood fame, soon to be seen in all his glory in Magic Mike XXL, tie the knot.

Sarah kept quiet about big day only saying "boy I don't know anything," and preferring to leave everything up to her fellow actor’s real life family; “she has a huge family to deal with that. Her fake family doesn't need to."

Catching a late-night flight back to Los Angeles from Philedelphia, where's she's performing as part of her tour, Taylor Swift threw an epic baby shower for her BFF Jamie King.

"So just took a red eye and threw Jaime a baby shower," the 25-year-old singer wrote on Instagram. "Baby shower/major throwdown." 

Actress and model Jamie is currently expecting her second child with her director husband Kyle Newman.

And the guest-list is as impressive as they come: Sarah Hyland, Gigi Hadid, Hailee Steinfeld, Karlie Kloss, Jessica Alba, Selma Blair, Nina Dobrev, Diane Kruger, and Emma Roberts were all in attendance. Phew! 

"I always thought if I were to have another child that [Taylor] would be the ideal godmother because the way she not only treats me but the way she treats other human beings," Jamie recently told E! News. 

"She's so loving and so giving and so generous and she does everything from her heart."

Judging by the photographs, the soiree was a colourful affair: guests donned bright, feathered head-dresses and feather boas, as well as fans, evening gloves, whistles and balloons.

It is believed that Jamie, 36, is due some time next month. Her son, James, turns two in October.

 

Jamie also took to Instagram last night to express her gratitude to Ms Swift.

"How can I put this into words," she began. "@taylorswift is not only going to be an exquisite Godmother but one of the best friends one could ask for.

"Thank you Tay for throwing me such an insanely beautiful baby shower. Less then 12 hours after performing for 100k strong. I love you SO MUCH xx"

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland’s break-up with boyfriend of five years Matt Prokop was about as dramatic as they come, with Sarah allegedly obtaining a domestic violence restraining order against her former co-star.

And while Sarah, now dating Dominic Sherwood, has moved on, it seems that Matt has not been having the same luck.

Matt, who starred in 2011’s Geek Charming alongside Sarah, took to Twitter last night to make his feelings towards his ex and her new man very clear.

Amid reports that Sarah and Dominic got matching tattoos, Matt tweeted: “Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelsings.”

Just in case anyone thought that he wasn’t talking about Sarah, he continued: “I’ll be honest. It hurts like hell watching someone you care about slowly ruin their life. When you can’t do anything to help. #FallenAngel.”

In one final tweet, he added: “Sometimes you just have to laugh…”

We don’t know, Matt, it doesn’t exactly sound like you’re amused!

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland seems to have moved on from her ex Matthew Prokop, after their traumatic break-up last year.

After the split in September, Sarah revealed that Matthew had physically and mentally abused her on numerous occasions, at one point holding her with "a grip so tight that [she] could not breathe or speak." After attempting to cut ties with Matthew, Sarah was eventually forced to file a restraining order against him, to prevent him from being within 100 yards of herself, her house or her dog.

Now though, it looks like Sarah is slowly finding happiness again after pictures were published of her sharing a romantic kiss with a mystery man while out in Hollywood.

The pair exchanged a smooch as Sarah clutched a handful of red roses… presumably a gift from her suitor.

24-year-old Sarah was out for the night in Warwick nightclub when the kiss took place. She was then seen hopping into a taxi with her new beau.

This is the first time Sarah has been seen with another man since her split from Matthew back in September.

We're so happy to see her moving on from what sounds like a very toxic relationship.

When Sarah Hyland split from her long-term boyfriend Matthew Prokop two months ago, her fans were devastated. But she soon revealed that the relationship hadn't been as happy as others had believed. 

The Modern Family actress filed for a restraining order from Matthew back in September, stating that he had continually verbally and physically abused her while they were together, at one point holding her throat with "a grip so tight that [she] could not breath or speak."

Sarah has since been granted a three-year order stipulating that Matthew cannot be within 100 yards of her, her house or her place of work at any time. Now for the first time, the actress has spoken out about her attempts to move on.

In an appearance on The Meredith Vieira Show, the 23-year-old opened up about moving beyond her pain, referencing lines from two of her favourite poets.

"There are two quotes that I want to say," the actress began. "One is a Dylan Thomas poem, ‘Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light,’ which is one of my favourite poems.  It just strikes a chord in me. And also Robert Frost, 'The only way out is through.'"

Although she did not directly reference Matthew when asked about dealing with an abusive relationship, Sarah finished by saying, "People have to go through things in order to become the person they are today, and that's that."

It was revealed last month that actress Sarah Hyland had applied for a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Matthew Prokop.

​In her application she stated that he had threatened her and abused her, both physically and verbally, on a number of occasions. The couple were together for nearly five year before splitting up in late August.

Sarah's now been granted a three-year restraining order against her ex, with all the conditions she requested. Matthew must stay 100 yards away from Sarah at all times and must not approach her house or her place of work. He is also not permitted to own a gun or to threaten or attack her dog Barkley in any way.

After Matthew's recent stint in rehab, it was reported that the director of the facility suggested the possibility of a restraining order to Sarah. The actress' lawyer said in an interview that "the documents filed speak for themselves."

Sarah has been quiet about her break-up controversy on social media, with no mention of it so far. Matthew has stayed silent on both Instagram and Twitter since mid-August, though his profile picture still shows himself and Sarah together. 

We hope Sarah can come out the other end of this and move on!

Fans of lovable Modern Family star, Sarah Hyland, were left shocked yesterday when it was revealed that she had filed a restraining order against her ex boyfriend, Matt Propok.

The couple went out for five years and even starred in Disney movie, Geek Charming together so it came as a surprise to many to learn that Matt had been violent towards his girlfriend, with Sarah describing the terrifying incident in court files: “He places both of his hands around my throat and began to choke me. His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life.”

Following the leaking of the restraining order to the media by TMZ, Sarah has sent a message to her fans through an attorney asking for privacy as she goes through what must a difficult and scary time for her: “The document filed speak for themselves. Out of respect for the court, the process and all parties, I have advised Ms. Hyland not to comment on the matter. We request that you respect the parties’ privacy during this time.”
