When Britney Spears snuggled in for a selfie with Modern Family star, Ed O'Neill, we (like Brit) fangirled all over ourselves, but it turns out all was not as it seemed.

According to the man himself, he hadn't a bean who Britney was when she approached him for a quick pic at Los Angeles International Airport.

Commenting on the selfie which sent social media into overdrive last March, Ed, who plays Jay in the hit sitcom, said: "She came up and said, 'Oh, Mr. O'Neill, I love Modern Family, and you're my favourite on the show.' And I was like, 'Well, I'm here, I'm the only one here,'"

Insisting that that the Toxic singer was more than polite, Ed told Ellen DeGeneres: "So she sat there and we took it and I said, 'Have a nice trip, I’m going,' and I left."

"So the next day my manager texts me and goes, 'What is this? 53,000 likes. It's Britney Spears."

While the rest of us might recognise Britney Spears at a 1,000 paces, Ed admits the same couldn't be said for him that day.

"I mean, look at the look on my face – do I look like I'm sitting with Britney Spears? You know my daughter, Sophia, she said, 'You are a moron.'"

We hate to say it Ed, but we might be with Sophia on that one!

She’s only 18 – but actress Ariel Winter has had to do a lot of growing up in the spotlight.

And as if that wasn’t challenging enough, she’s also STILL not on speaking terms with her mother.

"It has been very sad for me, but at the same time it's been much better for me emotionally and physically to be on my own and have a better, safer household and support system," Ms Winter explained on yesterday’s Elle DeGeneres Show.

The Modern Family star lived with her 37-year-old sister Shanelle Gray until from the age of 14 – only recently moving out when she turned 18 earlier this year.

And speaking about her elder sibling, Ariel also gushed: "She's been the best part of my life. She really is my best friend. She's the most important thing to me."

She added: "She's been there for me through absolutely everything. And I just love her so much. I count on her more than anything."

The women’s mother, Chrisoula Workman, has been accused of emotionally and physically abusing her daughters – something that Ms Workman denies.

Indeed, their brother Jimmy Workman (also an actor – he played Pugsley in The Adams Family movies) has publicly defended their mother.

Season 7 of Modern Family wrapped shooting on Tuesday, and one person who's already celebrating is Sarah Hyland.

The actress, who plays Haley on the long-running sitcom, took to social media yesterday to show off a very dramatic new look.

Gone are the blonde/bronde locks she's sported in a variety of lengths over the years, and in their place is a raven-black bob.

"Change. Is. Good," Sarah wrote alongside  a photo of herself and hairstylist Nicki Lee. "I love it."

While we can see why the actress would want a change, we're not sure the jet black suits her pale skin – although it could be the bright sunlight that's washing her out here:

Either way, Sarah seems delighted with the shift in her style, and has been posting selfies galore since taking the plunge:

After splitting from her boyfriend Matthew Prokop – and taking an abuse case against him – back in 2014, the actress has found love with English actor Dominic Sherwood, and we're delighted to see her so happy.

"You're my best friend and I love you," she wrote in a sweet birthday message to her man just last month.

If you are to follow the trail of breadcrumbs being left by Ariel Winter via her Instagram page, it is pretty apparent that she has called it quits with her long term boyfriend, Laurent Gaudette. 

Ariel and Laurent have been dating for two years having met at the Teen Young Hollywood Event when the Modern Family star was just sixteen. 

The 18-year-old has been teasing us with cryptic Instagram posts for about a week now but yesterday confirmed that she is officially a single lady and is super happy about it. 

You go, girl. 

We are already pretty fond of Ariel who has stood up to her own critics in the past but now she is inspiring us with a bunch of positive break up messages. 

Considering we want to just delete and block our exes on all forms of social media, we feel like Ariel is perhaps more mature than us. 

And it seems she is already talking about dates, albeit in a jokey way.

Ariel has spoken in the past about how she and Laurent met. 

"It was kind of like I saw him, and I was like, 'I would like to get to know him.' And I did! I’m very outgoing, so I kind of initiated the, ‘Hi, I’m here! It’s nice to meet you," the pretty actress told US Weekly. 

"It’s so awesome to be in love with somebody who’s so supportive and wonderful and just somebody who’s also your best friend."

Nawh. 

We hope the break up wasn't too hard on her.

Indulging in numerous painful and botched cosmetic procedures since his teenage years, one Modern Family star has now opened up about his battle with body dysmorphia.

Reid Ewing, who plays the slightly dim but totally lovable Dylan, (Haley's on-off boyfriend) has said that he felt completely unattractive when he first arrived in Hollywood.

Indeed, he felt numerous cosmetic surgery procedures were the only way to secure a successful acting career. 

Writing a blog for the Huffington Post yesterday, the actor wrote that his obsession began when he moved to Hollywood in 2008 and that he started to get procedures at the age of 19. 

"I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt," he wrote.

Mr Ewing also criticised the four separate doctors who never once questioned his motives for going under the knife at such a young age. Indeed, he says they actually told him he would need some cosmetic surgery in order to be successful. 

"I told the doctor why I felt my face needed cosmetic surgery and told him I was an actor. He quickly determined that large cheek implants would address the issues I had with my face, and a few weeks later I was on the operating table.

“Of the four doctors who worked on me, not one had mental health screenings in place for their patients, except for asking if I had a history of depression, which I said I did, and that was that.”

Reid goes on to talk about the agony he went through while under taking the painful and life changing procedures.

“I woke up screaming my head off from pain, with tears streaming down my face. The doctor kept telling me to calm down, but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything but scream, while he and his staff tried seemingly to hold back their laughter.”

Borrowing money from his parents and grandparents to fund the procedures, Reid continued to get surgeries such as cheek implants and chin implants, the results of which he described as “horrendous”.

The treatments were ongoing throughout his stint on Modern Family – until he finally opted to seek help for his illness in 2012.

“I think people often choose cosmetic surgery in order to be accepted, but it usually leaves them feeling even more like an outsider," he added.

“Before seeking to change your face, you should question whether it is your mind that needs fixing.”

Have you ever gotten creeped out by someone, and you didn’t ever know why exactly?

You’re definitely not the only one, and now scientists are trying to find out why it is that we feel this way.

A new survey from Know College social psychologist Franics McAndrew tried to uncover what characteristics it is that make someone seem creepy.

Why do people make you give you a creepy feeling?

Lisa Wade, a sociology professor and founder of the blog Sociological Images adds that “things we know are dangerous scare us- but if we’re unsure if we’re under threat, that’s when things get creepy.”

 

So, when are we more likely to feel unsure about someone?

The number one reasons people found themselves creeped out by another was if they felt they were being watched.

The second characteristic which people attributed towards being creepy was when someone touched them frequently while they were speaking. Number three was people steering the conversation toward sex. 

For his study, McAndrew surveyed more than 1,300 people between the ages of 18 and 77 about behaviours and characteristics associated with creepiness.

The study first suggested a situation in which a trustworthy friend met someone who they thought was creepy.

Survey participants then rated the likelihood, on a scale from 1 ("very unlikely") to 5 ("very likely"), of the creepy person to possess certain physical attributes, like "greasy hair, which scored an average creepy level of 3.9.  

Of those surveyed, 95 per cent considered men to be more likely to be creeps than women. Surprising absolutely no one, the top profession thought to be held by a creepy person was clown, followed by taxidermists, sex shop owners, and funeral directors.

She's clearly rocking a whole load of new-found confidence since having breast reduction surgery in June.

And when Ariel Winter attended a chic wedding over the weekend – she looked positively out of this world.

Wearing a low-cut bandage-style dress, the 17-year-old actress posed up alongside her music producer beau, Laurent Claude Gaudette, 18, who also looked dapper in a dark suit.

The Modern Family star teamed the pale-coloured number with sparkling peep-toe stiletto pumps. 

The snap, which was posted this evening, has already notched up close-to 40,000 likes of approval from fans.

In the September edition of Glamour, Ariel opened up about her decision to go under the knife in order to reduce the size of her breasts.

She explained that at age 15 her body seemed to change “overnight” and that she suffered from significant discomfort and pain in the aftermath. 

“I really couldn’t stand up straight for a long period of time," Ms Winter stated.

"My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine."

At just 5ft 1in tall she had a size 32F chest. Now post-op, her breasts are a more manageable 34D.

Earlier this summer, she had her breasts reduced from an F-cup to a more manageable D-cup, and Ariel Winter certainly looked a lot more confident emerging for the first time since the procedure. 

The 17-year-old actress had been suffering from years of back and neck pain prior to the surgery, which took place in early June.

Wearing a green playsuit, she attended D23 EXPO, a Disney fan event, in California on Saturday to promote her animated TV series Sofia The First.

Ariel is best-known for her role on Modern Family, where she plays teenager Alex Dunphy, although she said recently that her shape caused problems during filming. 

Indeed, even standing for extended periods of time was difficult: "It was so painful. I had a lot of back problems.

'I really couldn’t stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain.

"My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine."

She also explained: "They had to hide it on Modern Family a lot.

"Big sweaters, strapping me down – which is fine – I understand that it doesn’t fit the character they have in mind.

"I understand that. But it was difficult to do that every day."

Opening up last week, Ms Winter has said since the surgery that she feels like a "new person".

Modern Family actress Ariel Winter is talking about the breast reduction surgery she underwent earlier this year.

In the new issue of Glamour magazine, the star opens up about how she now feels so much “relief” at being comfortable in her own skin.

In June this year, Ariel went under the knife in order to reduce the size of her breasts as they were leading her to experience incredible discomfort.

She says that at age 15 the change seemed to happen “overnight” and “it started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain.”

“I really couldn’t’ stand up straight for a long period of time. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine,” she revealed to the magazine.

At just 5’1” tall she had a size 32 F chest and explains that she had been considering the surgery for a long time. According to the star when she initially brought up the procedure with her doctor he said. “Your back is going to thank you so much.”

Ariel confesses that before the procedure she felt a lot of pressure from people online commenting on her body and shape.

“The Internet bullies are awful. I would post a photo where I feel good, and 500 people will comment about how fat I am, and that I am disgusting.”

She explains how she began to feel like her physical appearance was being talked about more than the work she was doing on the hit series.

"Every article that has to do with me on a red carpet had to do with 'Ariel Winter's Crazy Cleavage!' or 'Ariel Winter Shows Huge Boobs at an Event!' That's all people would recognize me by –.”

Now 17, she says that since the surgery she has found herself feeling much happier and more confident in herself. She hopes that being open about her experience will be of benefit to other young women.

She has one of the most coveted figures in Hollywood – and Sarah Hyland has now shared some insight into just how hard she works to get that killer body.

The actress, who over the weekend also shared a serious #bodygoals gym snap in which she dons a tiny monochrome crop top, has revealed that when it comes to exercise, she LOVES to mix it up.

The 24-year-old New Yorker, who is currently embarking on a more intense training schedule, took to Instagram last night. In the resulting snap, shared with her 2.2million followers, Sarah dons a tiny grey and neon crop-top and navy Yoga pants. 

She is suspended from the ceiling – evidently taking part in a challenging aerial silks workout. 

"Stepping out of my box and trying new fun things for myself!" she captioned the photograph, adding lightheartedly: "Gonna join the circus."

Also known as antigravity yoga, the exercise involves a mixture of the likes of yoga, ballet and Pilates – all carried out on silk hammocks. Advocates say it strengthens, lengthens and tones your physique fast.

However, in the March issue of Cosmopolitian, Ms Hyland furthermore admitted that she's a big fan of fast food. The Modern Family star even said she "would eat Taco Bell every day!" if she thought she could get away with it.

She is currently dating Dominic Sherwood, 25, an actor and model, and the pair regularly go hiking, biking and walking together around Los Angeles.

There is literally no sexier couple on the planet right now than Sofia Vergara and her fiancé, Joe Manganiello.

In an interview with E! News, the 42-year-old Colombian beauty opened up about maintaining her physical appearance as part of her Hollywood life.

“I think I’m very sexy in general,” the Modern Family actress joked. “In our business, we always have to maintain. We can’t just not work out for seven months and eat chocolate all day long.”

Ms Vergara went on to explain how she tries to keep everything in moderation, even when her favourite thing is sweets.

“Everything in moderation. Sweets are my life. Sweets are something that I love and really make me happy.” Oh, we know that feeling!

While Sofia and her 38-year-old Magic Mike XXL star fiancé have been keeping a tight lock on their wedding plans, she did open up about how she wants her wedding to be about fun.

“To me, it’s not all about perfection but all about fun. Great music, great alcohol and great food.”

And we have no doubt that they are going to look SERIOUSLY great too!

It has been confirmed that Pretty Little Liars actress, Chloe Bridges is dating Modern Family actor, Adam DeVine.

Chloe, who plays the role of Sydney in the popular TV show, also starred in short-lived The Carrie Diaries, as Donna LaDonna while Adam has also starred in Pitch Perfect opposite Anna Kendrick.

Adam was previously linked to his Pitch Perfect co-star, Kelley Jakle. 

The couple, who star in new movie, The Final Girls together, are thought to have been dating for a while now, sharing cute photos on Instagram.
