Marnie Simpson

For a woman so in tune with social media, it seems hard to believe that Geordie Shore's Marnie didn't anticipate the speculation which would ensue when she made the decision to delete all trace of her boyfriend Lewis Bloor from her Instagram page.

Marnie, who got together with Lewis during Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, decided to address the rumours that she and the TOWIE star had split during an appearance on Loose Women today.

Dismissing the reports that she and Lewis had called time on her romance, Marnie admitted that while they are finding their long-distance relationship difficult, they are still very much together.

"It’s really really tough just because we live so far away from each other.” Marnie admitted. "We’re working through it. It’s hard."

Acknowledging the fall-out from her social media move, Marnie appeared to regret deleting the photos, saying: "We had an argument and I went and deleted every single picture of him off Instagram.”

“I forget everyone’s looking and I thought, ‘Why have I done that?’ Like, now I’ve put so much pressure on us," she added.

And Lewis didn't help matters either after tweeting a message which appeared to suggest he was content with developments, writing: "One door closes another one opens that's how life works."

Keeping us on our toes there, guys.

When it comes to the vast majority of reality television couples, their respective social accounts generally act as a barometer of how well the relationship is going.

With this in mind it's perhaps no surprise that Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor's fans and followers are under the impression that the Celebrity Big Brother couple may have called time on their romance.

The rumour mill went into overdrive at the weekend when the Geordie star appeared to delete all trace of her new boyfriend from her Instagram account before posting a message – which she quickly deleted – which read "Over before it begun'.

And if that wasn't enough to pique the interest of the public, Lewis added fuel to the fire by tweeting a message which suggests he may have already come to terms with  the split, writing: "One door closes, another one opens, that's how life works."

Assuming that the couple's time together had come to an end, Lewis' followers were quick to weigh in, with one writing: "Don't give up so easily. Fight for the girl you love and what you have,"

"You should fight for the ppl you love if you really love each other you will get trough it no matter how hard it is," wrote another (sic)

"Nooooo… don't give up. You guys are too goals to give up," added another fan.

And while Lewis was taking advice from die-hard romantics, it seemed Marnie was doing what she does best – nursing a pretty hefty hangover.

"I only had the 1 picture I posted. I know total blur of a night. STILL never drinking Again haha," she wrote last night.

Aw, what about this ring Lewis was planning to place on Marnie's finger?

She wowed the judges with her latest Strictly performance, but that doesn’t mean Laura Whitmore is without her critics.

Last week, the Bray native hit headlines after reportedly ignoring Georgia May Foote’s request to stop posting photos of her dance partner and Georgia’s ex, Giovanni Pernice, on social media.

Since then, the former Coronation Street star has unfollowed the popular presenter online, presumably in a bid to distance herself from her former friend’s dance practices.

Now, Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson has decided to weigh in on the drama by criticising both Laura and Giovanni in her latest Star magazine column.

Fresh from her stint in Lithuania with Chloe Ferry, Lewis Bloor’s girlfriend wrote: “I don’t know why Georgia May Foote is bothered about her ex Giovanni Pernice – he’s not even nice.”

“She’s a beautiful girl and can do so much better.”

The 24-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant added: “Laura was really cold to me when I met her.”

Something tells us this has more to do with Marnie and Laura, than Georgia and Giovanni.

She might be all loved up with Lewis Bloor, but that hasn’t stopped Marnie Simpson from locking lips with Chloe Ferry.

The popular reality star has been caught on camera passionately kissing her Geordie Shore castmate while filming a game show called Release The Hounds in Lithuania.

In footage obtained by The Sun, the 24-year-old brunette – who admitted to being bisexual in May this year – can be seen shifting Chloe against a nightclub wall.

Upon realising they are being filmed, the girls laugh before running onto the dancefloor.

On Friday, Marnie made light of the situation on Twitter by writing: “Standard Chloe and Marnie behaviour last night.  We are literally made for Geordie Shore the way we gan on isn’t normal (sic).”

The following day she tweeted: “Lithuania was a experience mind.  Jeeeeez (sic).”

The controversial columnist has been involved in a public romance with TOWIE star Lewis Bloor since meeting in the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer.

Despite still being in the early stages of their romance, the couple have already spoken openly about their five year plan and their desire to live closer together.

Despite making her name in Newcastle as part of MTV’s Geordie Shore, Marnie Simpson is planning a move to TOWIE land so she can be close to new love Lewis Bloor.

In a recent interview with Star magazine, the 24-year-old reality star confessed that she’s hoping to buy a house in Essex where she says “it will be nice to be close to Lewis”, who she met while filming Celebrity Big Brother this summer.

The controversial star told the mag: “I'm meeting a mortgage adviser soon because I'm thinking of buying my first house…I've always wanted to move down south.  Essex is a good location.”

And while you might think Marnie would happily become neighbours with her former co-star Vicky Pattison, the outspoken brunette says she hopes to dodge the Loose Women panellist when she moves.

“I know Vicky lives there now,” she said.  “But it's a big place and I doubt that we'll cross paths.  We certainly won't be hanging out as friends.”

Earlier this year, Marnie confessed that Vicky is the only ex Geordie Shore housemate who she has no contact with.

In her Star magazine column, she wrote: “I still speak to all the ex Geordie Shore cast members apart from one – Vicky Pattison!”

“We do NOT like each other, so it was always clear we wouldn't stay in touch.”

Let's face it, Marnie Simpson has made her career from going out, guzzling down and getting 'mortal'.

But it looks like the hard partying lifestyle is taking its toll on the reality star's body after she was recently rushed to hospital.

Opening up about her experience in her column for Star magazine, the 24-year-old admitted that professionals fear her symptoms stem from excessive alcohol consumption.

"I was rushed to hospital last week with a kidney infection and kidney stones." she wrote.

"My kidneys aren’t working properly and doctors think it could be from drinking too much alcohol," Marnie revealed in a candid assessment of her hospital stay.

Marnie, who recently told Twitter followers that her 'body was giving up' on her, explained that she had been out with a  former co-star when she was unable to continue socialising.

"I went out with Charlotte Crosby last week and only lasted an hour because I had no energy," Marnie explained.

Thankfully, Marnie's mum, who championed her throughout her controversial stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house, is currently on hand.

They’ve already talked five-year-plans and the possibility of marriage so really it shouldn’t come as any major surprise that Marnie Simpson has already met Lewis Bloor’s family.

But when you consider that the new couple only launched “the world’s longest first date” upon entering the Celebrity Big Brother house a little over a month ago surely it all seems to be moving a tad fast?

In her latest Star magazine column the Geordie Shore cast member revealed that she met her new beau’s family over the weekend and it went really well.

She wrote: “Things with Lewis have been amazing.  I met his family at the weekend!  I was nervous, but they felt they already knew me because they’d watched me on TV.”

And while expressing her opinions through a very public medium, Marnie decided to reiterate for those who mightn’t have realised that she and Lewis have kept their newfound love on the DL since leaving CBB.

The 24-year-old Geordie – who was previously engaged to TOWIE star Ricky Rayment – said: “As for people saying we’re a showmance, that’s ridiculous. Since we came out, we’ve kept everything private.”

When you're a reality TV star, stuff can get pretty damn confusing.

Is this actually happening? What show am I on? Is sex appropriate right now? Sure, the list of concerns is endless – just ask Marnie Simpson.

After appearing on This Morning earlier today, the Geordie girl admitted that at times during her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house she struggled to remember where she was and who she was with.

No, seriously.

Explaining why her behaviour sometimes seemed a little outrageous, Marnie explained: "I went straight from Geordie into there and I was still in my Geordie ways and I forgot that group of people wasn't my Geordie group of people and there were boundaries and sometimes I crossed them."

From flashing Saira Khan to antics in the shower with Lewis, the 24-year-old insists it all came down to her Geordie Shore roots.

"Maybe I'd had a little bit too much to drink, but that type of stuff is really acceptable on Geordie Shore, so when I'm drunk, I just assumed it would be then, but it clearly wasn't."

And while Marnie, who came fourth in the series, was involved in some of the most controversial storylines in this series of CBB, she insists the public has the wrong impression of her.

"When I came out, I was really upset because I saw people saying I'm a bully and that's completely not true," she told This Morning hosts.

Referring to the moment she gave Saira Khan an eyeful, Marnie explained: "It was supposed to be a harmless joke to lighten the mood, because there was a lot of tension in there."

"If you were there, you could feel it. It wasn't a very nice place to be," she said.

Ah yeah, happens to the best of us.

He may have said he hopes to put a ring on Marnie's finger in the next five years, but that hasn't stopped Celebrity Big Brother viewers from questioning the authenticity of Lewis Bloor and Marnie Simpson's relationship.

Along with Stephen Bear and Chloe Khan, Lewis and Marnie became the subject of intense speculation as fellow housemates and CBB fans suggested that the couple's affection came down to nothing more than a desire to boost their own profiles.

But, according to Marnie's mum Sharon Kinney, that couldn't be further from the truth.

While appearing on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On the Side, the Geordie Shore star's mum insisted that her daughter's relationship with Lewis was genuine, saying: "She’s just gone with her feelings."

"Marnie is a very strong, independent woman. With Lewis, she just went into that house with an open heart and she met someone who she has a connection with," Sharon continued.

In addition to defending the authenticity of the romance, Sharon dismissed notions that her daughter was overshadowed by the TOWIE star, saying: "I wouldn’t agree with that at all."

Lewis recently acknowledged the public's scepticism, saying: "I understand how people will look at it, it is very crazy but yeah she is great and I can't wait to see her."

And yet despite Sharon and Lewis' claims, BFF Charlotte Crosby doesn't see a future for the couple, telling New! magazine: "I don't see anything materialising with them on the outside. I don't think Marnie's suited to him."

In the words of Justin Bobby, truth and time tell all…

If anyone knows anything about a show-mance, it's Charlotte Crosby.

But with her on/off relationship with Gary Beadle finally over, it seems that Char has learned a thing or two about TV romances.

And one TV romance that has been captivating our TV screens for the past few weeks is CBB's Marnie Simpson and Lewis Bloor.

They swear that they love each other, and he even wants to put a ring on it, however, Charlotte thinks that once the cameras are off them, it's going nowhere.

"I don't see anything materialising with them on the outside. I don't think Marnie's suited to him," she told New! mag.

To be honest Charlotte, we didn't see it going anywhere either.

Romances which blossom on the set of reality television programmes don't tend to have the best track record.

From Geordie Shore to TOWIE, when it comes to matters of the heart, reality stars don't seem to have the best luck.

However, it sounds like Lewis Bloor is determined to sidestep that curse by making a go of things with Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson whom he met on Celebrity Big Brother this summer.

Appearing on Loose Women today, the reality star was, unsurprisingly, grilled about his new romance, and it sounds like it may just be the real thing.

"This is a new feeling for me and I feel a bit shy talking about it," he admitted. "I understand how people will look at it, it is very crazy but yeah she is great and I can't wait to see her."

"I do have a five-year plan and I'd love to be with Marnie at the end of it," he told the audience. "If I am with Marnie in five years time, I will be surprised if she doesn’t have a ring on her finger."

Determined for viewers to realise the depth of their relationship, Lewis reminded the public that they were inseparable while living in the house together.

"Being without Marnie is odd, even though you only saw a little bit, I figured it out we spent over 550 hours together in 23 days. It's the world's longest first date!"

Confirming that they are an official couple, Lewis dismissed the notion that their relationship might be moving too fast, saying: "I feel like in life someone who you’ve known for five weeks might have better intentions than someone you have known for five years."

"Time is a relative thing," he insisted. "We spent every waking minute together. If you don't know you've got feelings for someone in that time then you probably don't."

Does this mean we might one day see a Geordie/ TOWIE wedding?! What a time to be alive.

It's no secret that Saira Khan and Marnie Simpson didn't exactly see eye to eye while on Celebrity Big Brother, but it doesn't look like Saira is content to leave the ill will in the house if a recent interview is anything to go by.

Appearing on The Wright Stuff, Saira, in no uncertain terms, compared Geordie Shore's Marnie to a prostitute who was fulfilling her fee by having sex on camera.

Recalling her first meeting with 24-year-old Marnie, Saira revealed: "The first thing this young lady said to me was 'Who are you going to have sex with in the house?'

While the audience gave bursts of stunned laughter, Saira questioned Marnie's attitude, saying: "Not 'Who do you fancy?' That conversation normally happens in our country on a corner with a red light… for the red light district."

Admitting that she was stunned by the reality star's intentions, Saira continued: "For me, this young lady had taken the red light, crossed the boundary into TV."

"The red light was the camera and she had got a fee, and she came with the intent of having sex. For me, that is what you call prostitution."

Defending her position, Saira admitted that this Geordie Shore-like approach is not something she understands.

"For me, for mainstream TV to have that content, call me prudish, I don't agree with it. I think it's a generational thing, I don't get it," she said.

We wonder what Marnie will make of those remarks when she gets out.
