Andrew Hozier Byrne has finally given us an insight into who he likes to hang out with in his spare time and we want to join the crew.

The singer posted a picture on Twitter yesterday in which he is partying with One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan and one of our favourite people, Ed Sheeran.

This group of lads look like they are having some serious craic as they pose in the photo booth with drinks in hand and Hozier said: "I had to hang this on a fridge. I had to. Fun times."

The Bray singer recently announced that he might be taking a break from music for a while.

While on BBC's radio's Good Morning show, he explained that a hiatus may be on the cards, the same week One Direction announce the same thing.

“It’ll be nearly two years on the road at that stage, and I’d loved to take a break and think about the next album,” he said

Hozier, who has become extremely successful in just two short years, has been touring the world non-stop since he gained success with Take Me To Church.

The singer was also nominated for two MTV VMAs last night for Take Me To Church which was up for Best Rock Video and Best Direction.

Not too long ago it appeared that ladies (and possibly some men) the world over were completely infatuated with none other than ourselves.

Actually, to be totally truthful, it’s the Irish men they fancy. A dating and travel website, MissTravel.com has even recorded Irish lads to be the best looking in the world.

Well, tell us something we don’t know. If you haven’t exactly been feeling the love for the home grown talent lately, allow us to refresh your memories.

We gathered up a list of Ireland’s most eligible bachelors.

Micheal Fassbender

The Kerry-native is a BIG hit in Hollywood. We’re not all that surprised, what a lovely smile you have got there Michael.

Niall Horan

Our most favourite member of 1D. Seeing one of them is already set for fatherhood, it’s only a matter of time before the rest follow suit so we better get to tweeting this Mullingar guy soon.

Domhnall Gleeson

The 32-year old is not just a one trick pony; he writes, acts and directs. Bonus points for being besties with Brad and Angelina.

Hozier

That album; that guitar; THAT voice. Need we say anymore? Nope, didn’t think so.

Cian Healy

Not just a rugby player either. He also loves dogs and he's a DJ.

Rory McIlroy

The Co. Down local spent 93 weeks as the world's number one ranked professional golfer. That's an awful lot trips to Dubai, and Florida, FYI.

Dave Kearney

Brother Rob might get more attention, but we reckon Leinster star Dave is every bit as desirable. He seems to hold babies well too. #swoon

Brian McFadden and Hozier definitely are not two names we ever thought we'd say in the same sentence, but we've been proven wrong.

Earlier today, former Westlife singer Brian shared a hilarious video on Instagram of him trying out his very best Hozier impression, and we have to admit it's not half bad.

We're not sure if the pair are friends or if they even know each other but we REALLY hope this gets a reaction from the Take Me To Church hitmaker.

Take me to church!

Brian's spirits certainly seem to be lifted just weeks after the announcement that he was splitting from his wife Vogue Williams after almost three years of marriage. The pair confirmed their break-up via Twitter earlier this month, saying they hoped to "remain friends."

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Andrew Hozier-Byrne is across the pond having just performed at the Newport Folk Festival near New York.

Had an amazing time at @newportfolkfest this past weekend. It was an absolute joy, thank you

Next stop, a Brian and Hozier duet? We can dream…

It's been a whirlwind couple of years for Wicklow-born musician Hozier, whose song Take Me To Church turned him from an unknown singer-songwriter into Ireland's most successful musical export of the last decade.

The song's video, a gritty black-and-white tale of homophobic violence, was shot back in 2013 with a budget of less than €2,000 and a turnaround time of just a few days. It's since been viewed an incredible 235 million times on YouTube and was even played at this year's Grammys, where Take Me To Church was nominated for Song of the Year.

Now, the two Cork filmmakers behind the video could be set to have their work recognised on yet another international stage, with the news that their video has picked up two nominations at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Brendan Canty and Conal Thomson were left stunned today to hear they'd been nominated for both Best Rock Video and Best Direction at the VMAs, which take place on August 30th in Los Angeles.

"It's the nicest thing, it really is lovely to hear," Brendan told SHEmazing! today from his home in Ballincollig, Cork.

Although Take Me To Church has been nominated for countless awards since its release in 2013, including a Billboard nomination this year for Best Rock Song, and the aforementioned Grammy nod, this is one of the first times that the video itself has been recognised by a judging panel.

"It's a bit odd," Brendan admits. "We haven't really even been up for small accolades or awards and now we're being nominated for two VMAs." Although things may have been quiet on the awards front, Brendan and Conal's filmmaking careers have come a long way since the video was shot almost two years ago.

The pair, both CIT graduates, now work with other Irish artists like Gavin James, MMOTHS and Young Wonder, though they'd never rule out working with Hozier again. "He's an absolutely lovely guy," Brendan says. "Seeing him in interviews now, he is still exactly as he was two years ago."

The lads' involvement with the video might never have come about, if it wasn't for a tweet posted by Brendan after he heard the song for the first time. Hozier was already signed to independent label Rubyworks at that stage, and after a few exchanges over Twitter and via email, a deal was made and a video shot in and around rural Cork.

When did Brendan realise the video – in which Hozier himself even makes a cameo appearance as a masked thug – was a viral success? Almost instantly, he says. "The night it was uploaded, Andrew [Hozier-Byrne] messaged me and said it was getting a huge reaction on Reddit. There were hundreds and hundreds of positive comments, which was unusual because Reddit users aren't always so kind."

Within 24 hours, the video racked up 100,000 views, and that number has been growing ever since. "Suddenly the song was everywhere," says Brendan of the unexpected success. "It never stopped going viral. It's mad. We were always waiting for that point where the hype would die off but it just didn't happen."

As for the upcoming awards ceremony in Los Angeles, the lads are understandably keen to head along. "I was straight onto the record company asking, 'Can we go?,'" Brendan jokes. "The VMAs are very celebrity-focused, which is why it's really great to be recognised in the Best Direction category, it feels a bit more meaningful."

We'll be watching out for the Cork flags in the crowd on August 30th…

As if we weren’t excited enough already for Taylor coming to Dublin, it is now being speculated that Hozier may be making an appearance on stage as well.

Tay-Tay is playing the first of two sold-out shows in the 3Arena in Dublin tonight and rumour has it that the Take Me to Church Bray-native may be joining her.

We have all seen the likes of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid join the 25-year-old on stage throughout her 1989 tour, so it would seem fitting that Ireland’s biggest star would make an appearance.

Speaking to The Mirror, an insider explained that “Taylor and Hozier have become good friends since meeting in the US last year so it would be a fitting tribute if he joined her on stage in his home country.”

The source further revealed that Hozier has a break in his schedule as he finished up Glastonbury festival yesterday and isn’t playing again until Tuesday when he has a gig in London.

However, the Someone New singer was speaking to Dermot and Dave on Today FM and warned that fans shouldn't be getting too excited because he is in fact not in the country.

So – is this an elaborate ruse to keep fans in the dark or have the rumours simply gone too far once again?

Either way, we have no doubt that Taylor's concert is going to be as spectacular as always. And as for any mystery guests, we will just have to wait and see!

The funeral is currently taking place in Foxrock of 21-year-old Olivia Burke.

The J1 visa holder died in Berkeley, California along with five others when a fourth-storey balcony they were standing on collapsed and fell more than 12metres to the ground.

Among the hundreds of mourners to turn out today is Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne, 25, better known to his millions of fans simply as Hozier.

Holding a guitar, he looked drawn and solemn as he arrived at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. He later played an acoustic version of The Work Song for those that had gathered to celebrate the young Foxrock woman's life.

Olivia’s parents, Paul and Paula, and her brother Gavin, were also in attendance.

For the ceremony, a large collage of photographs of Olivia and her friends and family was placed beside the altar.

Father Frank Herron told the congregation: "The thought of six young people dying so far away in such circumstances and the thought of their parents and siblings having to make the long journey to bring them back home has pained us all.

He added: "This week our community of Foxrock has reached out to each other probably as never before. In this building we looked for God and for each other."

Symbols of Olivia’s life were earlier brought to the mass.

These included a Loreto College journal to symbolise her secondary school education; a photo of Olivia and her King Charles Spaniel, Skipper; a Ted Baker bag to symbolise her love of fashion, and a novelty hat which was given to Olivia for her 21st birthday.

After sitting her Leaving Cert in 2012, Olivia had gone on to attend IADT Dun Laoghaire. There, she was studying for a degree in business, entrepreneurship and management, and had just finished her third year exams.

As part of her course, she had also recently completed a five-month work-experience stint with East Coast FM.

The votes have been cast and counted, and the country has spoken: today was a historic day for Ireland, which became the very first nation to legalise marriage for all by public decree.

And interspersed among the hundreds of thousands of loud and proud "Yes!" voices (1.2m to be exact) were some very famous faces – and they were clearly overjoyed at the outcome.

Here, we round-up the best Tweets made around the world by 21 of our favourite celebrities.

Well, this is awkward.

Ed Sheeran has – cringe alert – revealed that Elton John recently got him in a spot of bother by mailing him a load of, ahem, inappropriate videos.

The elder singer-songwriter sent the 24-year-old a total of 17 emails containing lewd attachments – shortly after he landed Stateside and proceeded through US Customs.

Elton, 68, presented Ed with the Songwriter Of The Year award last night at the Ivor Novellos, and the star took the opportunity to reveal in his speech that he is often at the receiving end of pranks masterminded by the Candle In The Wind singer.

Backstage, Sheeran then went into further detail about his “worst” ever experience: “I got to customs in New York once and I had 17 new emails from him and I was like, something must be important.

“And they were all video attachments, and I downloaded the first one, and yeah – it was good.

“And I was at customs and it’s pretty hard to get into America anyway without [having to deal with] those sort of videos.

“It happens quite a lot.”

Oh Elton! You’re a big messer.

The Ivor Novellos, which took place at fancy-pants Grosvenor House Hotel, celebrates British and Irish songwriting and composing.

Also honoured on the night was Co. Wicklow’s Hozier, who picked up a best song award for Take Me To Church.

What's up with Hozier?!

Why is he the only one that can't understand how his star has reached the dizzying heights it has in recent months?!

Speaking candidly on Other Voices due to air tonight on RTÉ2, the Wicklow singer admits that his success has left him a little rattled.

Astounded by the his acceptance into the music industry, Hozier says: "I certainly didn't imagine this year to go the way it's gone and the music has been accepted by audiences I never thought it would be accepted by."

Despite knowing Take Me To Church was an absolute stormer, the modest performer was uncertain as to whether it would make the big-time, admitting: "I was proud of it when I wrote it, but I certainly didn't see it as a top 10 hit."

Revealing that his transition into fully-fledged artist was far from simple, Hozier went on to say: "That's very strange to me and I felt very much as an outsider because I wasn't part of a 'scene' or anything like that."

Finding himself performing at the Victoria's Secret Show and billed alongside global performers took a little getting used to, with the singer admitting: "There are all these things that happen and all of a sudden your name is next to somebody like Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran."

How refreshing is it to hear a performer as talented as Hozier come across so modest?!

Never change Hozier, never change!

Hozier has performed his breakout hit Take Me To Church all over the world during the last year, with incredibly powerful performances on The Ellen Show, the Grammys and more. But this latest video has shown us the song in a whole new light.

Rising ballet star Sergei Polunin takes on Hozier's music in this stunning video, directed by photographer David LaChapelle. Sergei's moves really have to be seen to be believed – we were left totally enchanted by the whole performance!

Even Hozier himself was floored by the video, taking to Twitter to share the link and to write, "Absolutely blown away by this gorgeous piece of work from David LaChapelle and Sergei Polunin. No words. Thank you!"

The power of the human body… just amazing!
