Lena Dunham has never been one to hold back with her opinions, and mostly she's totally on the ball.

Today though, there's been some unexpected drama, which started this morning when she called out a Spanish-language magazine for Photoshopping an image of her for their cover.

So far, so unsurprising. Plenty of magazines using editing tools, and Lena wouldn't be the first celebrity to hit back about it.

"[T]his is NOT what my body has ever looked like or will ever look like – the magazine has done more than the average photoshop," she wrote in a comment directed at TENTACIONES magazine, who feature her on their March cover.

However within hours, staff at the magazine responded – and explained they hadn't used ANY editing tools on the image.

In fact, all they had done was crop the edges so it would fit their cover, a simple task that can be done using any PC.

"For the front cover of the magazine we used an image from the shoot you did in 2013 with the photographer Ruven Afanador, and which was published at the time by Entertainment Weekly," the open letter reads.

"Here at TENTACIONES, we acquired the photo via the Corbis agency, and we used the original that they sent us without applying any kind of retouching.

"Those who are familiar with and follow our magazine will know that we do not use Photoshop nor other digital tools to change the physical appearance of our cover stars, nor in the features to be found inside.

"On this occasion, the only thing we did was to crop the image to adapt it to the format of our front page."

They also linked to an original copy of the image, shared on Facebook by photographer Ruven Afanador back in 2013. Awks.

And they were sure to finish things off just a little cheekily, saying, "We are delighted to see that you still have your rebellious spirit. Let us have your address and we’ll send you our magazine as a courtesy every month, so that you can see for yourself that we like to reflect things the way that they really are."

Now to wait and see what Lena has to say…

The debut of the penultimate episode of Girls is only a few weeks away, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it's going to be FAB.

The four ladies seem to be moving on with their lives (kinda), but either way, we're guaranteed lots of laughs.

What we can guess from this trailer is that Hannah is finally on the way to accepting her body. Shoshanna is living it up in Japan, Marnie is sad (who would have guessed?), and Jessa is rolling out the practical advice to all of her BFFs.

AND, one of the best things is that Adam Driver is back in all of his furious glory. It was rumoured that he quit the show after becoming a Star Wars phenomenon, but alas, he's here to stay.

The beloved TV show, Girls, is in the midst of ending, ladies. *Sobs*.

E! News has reported that sources close to the show say that the ending is nigh and will possibly be wrapping up after season six.

It doesn't come as much of a surprise though, as Lena Dunham has previously said that she wants to leave it on a high note.

"[We're] not in the business of running it into the ground," Lena told The Hollywood Reporter

"We would like to end in a graceful place. And we'd like to tell a complete story. What that means is that we really have to start building towards an end soon, creatively."

Season five isn't premiering until February, so you better get ready for some epic story lines in the next two seasons.

While fans may not be quite ready to say goodbye to the cast of Girls, Lena Dunham has already starting make plans for her next project.

Variety reports that the 29-year old will be producing and directing a new series for HBO about feminism in the Man Men era.

Lena is said to be writing and directing the pilot episode of the series, called Max. Set in 1963 in the middle of the rise of second-wave feminism, the series follows the story of a young female writer at a magazine.

Lisa Joyce

Maxine, who will be played by Lisa Joyce, is “an enthusiastic, if misguided, low-level magazine employee who stumbles into the forefront of a civil rights movement both she and the world may not be ready for,” reports Deadline.

Lena, who created Girls, is set to executive produce the series. Meanwhile, another writer/producer from Girls, Murray Miller, was responsible for writing the pilot of Max.

Recently, Lena's other venture Lenny Letter, made headlines after Jennifer Lawrence's op-ed was published. The essay, Why Do I Make Less Than My Co-Stars discussed the gender pay gap in Hollywood.

JLaw admitted that she "failed as a negotiator" because she "gave up early." She also explained that it was her desire to be liked which ultimately inhibited her ability to ask for money in fear that people wouldn't find her as endearing.

Her former co-star Bradley Copper has said that her essay was "a great thing" and he found JLaw's piece very interesting. In an interview he explained:

"One thing I could say is that's interesting because if you think that you only deserve a certain amount and that's not correct, it's about changing that mindset and sticking up for yourself ."

According to some, Allison Willaims is said to be marrying her boyfriend Ricky Van Veen 'way out west' this weeknd.

The two are said to have planned a "top secret ceremony" with a very famous guest list and the big day is set to go ahead this weekend.

Ricky, a co-founder of College Humour and Allison got engaged last year after dating for three years. The 27-year old actress had said at the time that she and Ricky were very serious and she looked forward to settling down and starting a family with him soon. She told Glamour magazine:

"I'd love to be a mom- and not have to bring my kids into my trailer," she also noted that if need be she would "walk away" from her acting career in lieu of staring a family.

A source told Page Six about the pair's plans for this weekend:

“The wedding is being kept so secret that guests are being asked to fly to Denver, where they will be picked up and taken to the location, which is thought to be somewhere in Wyoming."

Guests are expected to include Bruce Springsteen, Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, and Williams’ “Girls” castmates Lena Dunham, Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke. Tom Hanks and his wife Rita, who played the mother of Allison's character on girls, are also expected to make an appearance.

“The accommodations for all guests are being paid for and then many of the guests are flying to LA together for Sunday’s Emmys," the source added.

Allison and Ricky were said to have delayed their wedding plans until now as her father, a news anchor in the US, was forced to step down from his position as host of the series Nightly News

Earlier this year Allion commented on the scandal saying:

"This has been a really hard time. Obviously [it’s] toughest on my dad, who is sort of bearing the full burden of the responsibility for it. Current events started happening so that derailed [wedding plans] a little bit.”

Lena Dunham was one of many straight people in the world who vowed that she would not be walking down the aisle until it was legal for every person to do so, regardless of their gender.

But with the American Supreme Court’s ruling on the 26th June that same-sex marriage is to be made legal in all 50 states, the road is now wide open for the Girls star to take the plunge.

After the news broke she even tweeted her boyfriend of three years, Bleachers and Fun frontman, Jack Antonoff saying, “get on it, yo.”

But now that she has the option to don “the fluffy white dress”, the question is, does she actually want to?

The 29-year-old penned a letter to The New Yorker where she explained her own confusing feelings about the institution of marriage.

Ms Dunham explained how it was easy to reject marriage as a self-sacrifice but that when the requirement for her to do so disappeared, their decision all of a sudden didn’t seem like so much a sacrifice.

“Just two days earlier, we had been living in a world where marriage wasn’t an option, or, rather, was an option that we had postponed for ourselves,” she revealed.

“And, instead of a hardship, this limbo had been a saving kind of relief, a limitless breathing space that allowed our relationship to grow without any of the tortured questions of legal commitments and ring settings that seem to plague so many sooner than they might want.”

Lena described how after the ruling came through, she was bombarded with messages from friends and family asking about her own big day.

“Now you can get married!” “Hello, bride to be <3” “So, when’s the wedding?” were just a few of the message she was getting.

So, is the countdown on? Will we be seeing Ms Dunham skipping down the aisle wearing white frills any time soon?

It doesn't appear that there will be a Mr and Mrs Antonoff just yet. "I like being a guest, for now," Lena admitted. "Aunt Bonnie, keep the dress in the box. But don't throw it away." At least she's not ruling it out anyway.

And if real life marriage is off the cards, we at least hope that she gives us a Girls wedding sometime soon. With Marnie and Dessy having fallen apart our next best hope is Hannah and the new guy!

As women, we constantly have one thousand odd things running through our head at the same time . Of course we usually keep these to ourselves, until we're with our best friend and we can just fully be ourselves and not regret a thing. Here are 7 things only best friends will understand.

1. "I just changed my profiler, quick go and like it!"
Not an embarrassing pity like at all…

2. "I have to unbutton my jeans, knew I should have got the 10 instead of the 8."
Sprawled seductively across her bed in a food coma.

3. "You need to sort out your eyebrows, moustache and annoying chin hair."
But they keep my face warm, I thought you of all people would understand this.

4. "I'll screenshot the whole conversation and send it to you."
One must have iMessage turned on at all times.

5. "Then I was like 'You better not mess my best friend around' and he awkwardly laughed and left."
Just because I promised you I'm going to marry him it doesn't mean he actually knows I exist yet, but thanks for the support hun.

6. "Do you think I have a chance with your hot cousin?"
Just say his name. I have a lot of cousins, how should I know which one is the hot one?

7. "Don't let me creep on him anymore, it upsets me."
What is it with true friends and actually obeying you when you say this? Give me back my phone, I didn't mean what I said, I was vulnerable…

Allison Williams has revealed that her wedding plans are off for the moment. While the Girls actress still plans on marrying her fiancé, Ricky Van Veen at some point, for the moment family matters are her priority.

Allison’s dad is veteran NBC news anchor Brian Williams who has involved in a scandal over the past month regarding facts he reported back in 2003 while covering events in Iraq.

The actress conducted a Q&A session in New York recently where she told host Seth Myers the disappointing news of her wedding:

“It’s been a full year … You sort of think, ‘What could possibly come along that would make me not think about [my wedding]? And then I get Peter Pan and I think ‘okay I will think only about Neverland and then we’ll go back to planning our wedding. And then current events started happening and so that derailed it a little bit. It’s just something we haven’t focused on.”

Thankfully, despite the delay, Allison says she is very much looking forward to tying the knot with her fiancé of one year: “Spoiler alert, we are excited!”

Allison, who plays the role of Marnie in the popular show also spoke highly of her dad:

“This has been a really hard time. One thing this experience has not done is shake my trust and belief in him as a man. He’s a really good man, an honest man, a truthful man – he has so much integrity and so much respect for journalism. And yes he’s a really good dad. I know you can trust him because, as any good daughter does, I’ve tested him on that.”

So it looks as if the wedding plans are off…for the moment at least. One thing is for sure – we can't wait to see this girl's wedding dress!

I’m kind of sick of talking about Lena Dunham, but you know what? At this stage, she’s unavoidable.

Back in 2012, I read countless reviews, debates and discussions on the subject of Girls both before and after watching it myself. They ranged from the complimentary to the extremely disparaging, but I did get the sense from all of this media buzz that what I was hearing about was a Very Important Show. (The exact same story could be told about the 2014 release of Dunham’s book, Not That Kind of Girl.)

A note on the negativity. I’m struggling to think of one male in my own recent memory to have received such a litany of abuse for simply writing an honest piece of work. This fact in itself is the essence of why the following is my favourite line from NTKOG:

"There is nothing gutsier to me than a person announcing that their story is one that deserves to be told, especially if that person is a woman."

I couldn’t agree more. Lena Dunham has been dismissed by a lot of writers as excessively privileged and thus unrelatable, and this is also visible in the show, but I think there are a lot of key moments and issues raised in Girls that manage to transcend class and culture. The good, the bad, and the downright embarrassing are all there, in plain sight.

A classic scene is the ‘Cos it’s Wednesday night, baby, and I’m alive’ one. Most have us are familiar with it, right? I think there’s something about the utter ridiculousness of this entire episode that we can all identify with a little. Sure, not so many of us will have had that experience while wearing a string vest, high in a Brooklyn warehouse, but it’s somehow relatable nonetheless. That night when you’re out when you shouldn’t be, knowing you have responsibilities tomorrow, straddling the gap between vague maturity and full-on adulthood. It’s refreshingly normal and a bit ugly – the reality that we’re all a little bit irresponsible, after all.

Speaking of responsibility, Hannah’s problems at the beginning of Girls season one are decidedly first-world – her parents take her out to dinner in order to urge her to, well, get a real job. Safe to say that many viewers weren’t exactly crying her a river. With a good dose of perspective, Shoshanna’s terror at finally exiting university, still healing from a breakup and facing into the real world are similarly ridiculous – but it’s a feeling that so many of us have had. Hands up who’s still pretending that they won’t be working 9-5 for the rest of their life?! I know I am.

On that note, it seems to me that a resounding theme throughout the series is fear. Marnie’s fear upon exiting a serious relationship that has dominated her adult life. Adam’s initial phobia of commitment. Hannah’s continuing terror that she’ll never ‘make it’ – and any time she does make any kind of tangible professional progress, she gets impostor syndrome! It’s hard not to relate on some level.

I’ve yet to speak to a female I know who doesn’t like the show. Although the scenes and characters don’t immediately speak to everyone, it’s the ugly underbelly of self-doubt and unease felt by so many of us twenty-somethings that ultimately carries this series, and it’s too painfully honest to ignore.
