When recently asked about her post-pregnancy diet and overall wellbeing, actress Gaby Hoffman was more than happy to share her secret weapon for keeping in tip-top shape, post-baby, but it may not be for everyone!

The Girls star revealed that she was open and willing to include placenta in her daily diet, saying: "Placenta, placenta, placenta. It does a girl good. I made smoothies out of it for three weeks."

32-year-old Gaby, who shot to fame in her teens appearing in hit films such as Uncle Buck, Sleepless in Seattle and Now & Then, welcomed baby daughter Rosemary into the life she shares with long-term boyfriend Chris Dapkins last November.

Commenting on her interesting nutritional choice, the actress said: "I made smoothies out it of for three weeks. I had a home birth, so my midwife and my doula took it and cut it into 20 pieces."

Explaining how she incorporates it in into her daily diet, the quirky star said: "I put it in a blender with strawberries and blueberries and guava juice and a banana and drank it up."

There's no denying new mum Gaby looks fantastic so each to their own and all that!
