Now, this is a wedding we'd want to go to.

We all know wedding bands can be totally hit and miss; some people are into the music and some aren't – but we'd say there wasn't ANY room left on the dance floor at this Irish wedding last weekend.

In one of the greatest musical combinations ever, Ed Sheeran played with Johnny McDaid and his band Snow Patrol on Saturday.

Johnny's younger sister tied the knot in Derry, and Beech Hill Country House Hotel shared a video of the musical stars playing together on the night.

Johnny brought his girlfriend (and rumoured fiancé) Courteney Cox along to the big day, which sparked the news that they were the ones getting married, but the Friends star was simply there to wish Johnny's sister well.

According to Belfast Live, Courteney and Johnny stayed at the family home in Culmore,Derry, and were spotted strolling at Queen’s Quay over the weekend.

Since its release in 2014, Ed Sheeran's Thinking out Loud has become a modern-day romantic classic.

From engagements to first dances, this song is the soundtrack to millions of relationship milestones, but it appears we mightn't actually have Ed to thank for it.

According to emerging reports, the 25-year-old pop sensation is being sued on the grounds he copied Marvin Gaye's track Let's Get It On for the production of Thinking Out Loud.

The Independent reports that the family of Ed Townsend –  the co-writer for the 1973 track – have sought legal advice as to whether they are owed damages due to the similarity seen in Sheeran's song.

According to court documents, the Townsend family conducted their own research into the the issue, which read: "The Defendants copied the heart of Let's and repeated it continuously throughout Thinking."

"The melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic compositions of Thinking are substantially and/or strikingly similar to the drum composition of Let's". it continued.

While Ed, his record label and legal team have yet to issue a response regarding the track which has racked up 1.2 billion views on YouTube, media outlets have made reference to the fact this is not the singer's first time being implicated in such a situation.

Earlier this summer, the singer was sued for $20 million for copying Amazing – a song penned by Matt Cardle's songwriters –  for the production of Photograph.

Ed Sheeran went on a total social media hiatus this year and hasn't posted anything in months, so when pictures of him crop up on other users accounts, it's safe to say his fans go a bit mental and pick on every detail in the snap.

And the latest pic is no different.

Jovel Walker posted a snap on his Instagram page with Ed, his daughter (Ed's goddaughter) and Jovel's daughter's other godfather.

My baby girls 5th birthday party was lit! Even both godparents were in attendance finally lol

A cute picture, yes, but eagle-eyed followers were quick to point out the ring on Ed's wedding finger.

Of course, this sent fans into a frenzie that Mr Sheeran tied to knot to his lady love Cherry Seaborn.

They certainly looked loved up in Taylor Swift's photobomb:

However, other fans pointed out that Ed has worn that ring before, but on his middle finger.

Is it a wedding ring? Is he married? Or did he just pop on a ring on a random finger? Hmmm…

Ed Sheeran is a man who likes to keep his life private – especially his love life.

However, the singer ended up photobombing one of Taylor Swift's snaps which saw him sharing a passionate kiss with his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

Tay has uploaded a series of snaps of her celebrations from her 4th of July weekend-long party, but the one with Ed's appearance has to be our fave.

The Trouble singer posted the pic on Insatgram, which shows her hugging her BFF who just got engaged. She captioned the snap: "Love actually is all around. Congratulations guys."

Tay's friend Abigail reposted the snap and wrote: "When there's literally so much love around your only option is to make a room for all of your love banners & sing love songs to each other. @taylorswift we LOVE you! Kudos to @teddysphotos (Ed) for the photobomb of the year."

As cringey as that sounds (all singing love songs to each other??), we do love Ed giving us a little snippet into his love life.

Ed Sheeran is being sued for $20 million for allegedly copying a Matt Cardle song.

The people who wrote the X Factor winner's song Amazing have filed a lawsuit against Ed in a Californian court stating that his hit single Photograph contains 39 identical notes as Amazing, as well as having strikingly similar "words, vocal style, vocal melody, melody, and rhythm" to Matt's song.

Photograph – which was co-written by Snow Patrol's Johnny McDaid who is also named in the lawsuit – has been sold more than 3.5million times since its release in 2014.

It has also been viewed over 200 million times on YouTube and was used in the movie Me Before You.

Meanwhile Matt Cardle's third release, Amazing, failed to make it past No.84 in the UK chart.

The lawsuit states: "While Sheeran, McDaid, and the other Defendants received career-defining accolades, awards, and a fortune for Photograph, the true writers of much of Photograph received nothing."

It claims there is an "unusual level of strikingly similar copying" between the songs and says "note-for-note copying makes up nearly one half of Photograph".

The same lawyer who successfully sued Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams for the similarities between Blurred Lines and a Marvin Gaye song is set to represent the songwriters.

Ed has yet to comment on the allegations.

Christy Moore is a legend. No questions asked.

He appeared on the Late Late Show last night, and while chatting to Ryan, told him a little bit about when Ed came to Dublin.

Christy said that Ed wanted him to play at his concert, but Christy declined since Ed has such a young audience (We totally would have LOVED that, though).

He also described him as "a lovely young man" and admitted that he showed him how to play The Molly Malone, which Ed actually performed while in Dublin.

The Dubliner added that Mr Sheeran is "very very special," and we just think every working relationship should be like this.

There are plenty of red-haired folk in this part of the world.

And while the old cliché claims sporting a mop of ginger tresses results in playground taunts, in our experience those red-headed lads and lassies among us are rarely anything but massive rides.

Emma Stone, Lily Cole, Prince Harry, Ed Sheeran, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Kidman and Damian Lewis are all au naturale but just about everyone from Cheryl Fernandez Versini to Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande have dyed their hair red at some stage.

Who can blame them? Here, SHEmazing rounds up the nine reasons why having red hair is pretty incredible:

1) You stand out from the crowd: Even in Ireland, your chances of being ginger are fairly slim. In fact, just 10 percent of us have ruby-hued hair. And globally that figure stands at 2 percent. #exclusive

2) It’s difficult to fake it: Red hair dye is notoriously difficult to get right for blondes and brunettes – and a fresh application fades rapidly. Meaning there’s nothing like the real thing.

3) Keep the compliments coming: Everyone wants red hair at some stage – cue a steady stream of “I’d LOVE to have your hair colour.”

4) What greys? While some other folk are already going grey in their 20s, red hair has a reputation for holding its own, gently lightening as you age, rather than turning grey.

5) You’re practically famous: There was a Ginger Spice – but no Blonde or Brunette Spice. Nuff said.

6) You’re quite possibly healthier: University Of Edinburgh researchers found that red heads boast a secret genetic weapon allowing them to to fight off certain illnesses more efficiently than blondes or brunettes.

7) Fight or flight: Red-heads make adrenalin faster than those with other hair colours.

8) You're a work of art: Botticelli's the Birth Of Venus depicts a gorgeous flame-haired lady upon a clam. And she's just one of a disproportionate number of red-headed lasses used by history's most famous artists.

9) Overall, it’s just a really great colour: Blood, fire, passion, power – all red. In contrast, what’s brown associated with? Exactly.

We all know that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are pretty much BFF's but Taylor's birthday message to Ed on his 25th birthday really does prove the bond.

While we harbour secret desires to see this pair together (sorry Calvin Harris), it seems that the pair are closer than ever.

Despite not being a member of the squad (that honour that tends to be reserved for females and models), after a duet and a tour together it's safe to say that these two will always be pals.

"Looking back on the highlights of my life, there's a moment I'll never forget from a day in London about two years ago," reads the caption of an image of Ed winning his Grammy.

"I was in town to play the O2 and I was out shopping on my day off. My friend Ed Sheeran met up with me in this little shop where I was buying ballet shoes."

"He walks in and says, ‘You have to hear this new song. I think it's the best one I've ever written.' And then, as usual, he pulls out his phone and gives me headphones. I sat there on a bench in that store and heard Thinking Out Loud for the first time, as little kids were picking out tutus and leotards next to us.

"Little did we know it would go on to be first dance song at countless weddings all over the world, become Ed's biggest hit, and eventually go on to win him Song of the Year at the 2016 Grammys.

"Ed and I had been on tour together all year on the Red Tour and we saw each other almost every day. I lived for the moments he would burst into my dressing room with a new song to play me. It happened so often that it became normal, and I don't think he ever knew how much it meant to me that he wanted me to hear his songs first.

"I don't think he ever knew how inspired I was by his drive and passion to constantly create new art. But it's his 25th birthday today, so I'm saying it now. You deserve everything you have, and everything you will continue to achieve, Ed."

Well, we are more convinced than ever that they are meant to be.

To coincide with all the excitement of the Grammys, Jimmy Kimmel decided to release the latest edition of Mean Tweets including all of our favourite musical stars.

From Megan Trainor to the Killers, literally no one was spared from the wrath of angry Twitter trolls in the latest instalment.

Yep, Jimmy's infamous television segment is always a hit as top celebrities are encouraged to sit down and read out the horrible things people say about them across the internet.

And as you an guess, no one holds back.

While Rita Ora is told that she dresses like a "big of d*cks" and Drake is told he looks like a "ferret with a baby afro" , we reckon this might actually be the meanest bunch of tweets yet.

He might be one of the most famous singers, but good ol' Ed Sheeran can't help but get drunk at fancy gatherings.

As award season has officially begun, Ed admitted that he likes nothing more than a few beers before the show because he thinks that he's not going to win.

Talking about the Grammys, Ed said that he's spent the last three shows drunk on the free booze.

"I wasn't going to attend even after being nominated, because I've been the last three years and always lost. I know I'm not going to win so I get smashed before."

Mr Sheeran is up for two awards this year, and we're all counting on him to win; but if he doesn't, he's made an ultimatum for the show.

He told The Sun: "It's going to be sod's law that this would be the year I get it if I didn't go.

"So, I'm going to go and if I don't get it, I won't go again."

Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles have been bosom buddies for years but only now has our favourite One Direction member revealed exactly which one of Ed's many great tunes he really digs.

And what song really tickles Harry's fancy? Well, it's none other than the beautiful ballad, Thinking Out Loud.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1, the 21-year-old revealed he had a pretty special reason for why this song trumped all the others.

"I’m gonna pick Thinking Out Loud… It’s a personal song for me."

And why is it so personal? Well, it seems that Harry may have had a slight hand in producing that very song.

"A couple of Christmases ago I actually bought Ed a guitar for Christmas. And this was one of the first songs that he wrote on it, so it’s one of my favourite Ed Sheeran songs."

Nawh!
