Jennifer Lawrence has been absolutely loved UP with art dealer Cooke Maroney for almost a year, and her publicist announced the pair's engagement earlier this month.

We're delighted for the 28-year-old Oscar winning actress, but we're really just DYING to see the ring. J-Law has been photographed with it multiple times since the proposal, but today is the first time a high-resolution snap has been taken of the ring.

The actress attended the Fall/Winter 2019 Dior presentation alongside famous faces like Cara Delevigne and Karlie Kloss, and showed off her new accessory.

Maroney's ring is minimal in design, with a large emerald-cut diamond hanging off the platinum band. It's arguably a more modern take on a classic combo, as the stone isnit centred on the band.

Andrew Fox, President of SuperJeweler.com, gave ELLE the lowest carat estimate for the engagement ring;

"Jennifer's ring, which is surprisingly modest, appears to be a three-to-four carat emerald shape diamond," he said. "While I'm certain that it's of very fine colour and clarity, Cooke Maroney most likely paid over $200,000." WOWZA.

She was first spotted wearing it while the couple were on a date in New York City at Raoul's in early February. "It was a giant rock," as a witness quoted at the time. Lawrence was previously in relationships with Nicholas Hoult, Chris Martin and Mother! director Darren Aonofsky. This is her first engagement, but Lawrence opened up about marriage to Vogue in 2015;

"I can't wait to be married. I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not f*ck it up."

When asked about bridesmaids by Vanity Fair in 2016, interestingly she said; "Weddings rock, but… there needs to be a bridesmaids' union. It's horrendous… If I do ever get married, I don't think I will have bridesmaids. How can I rank my friends?"

We can't WAIT for this wedding, it's sure to be a big celebrity bash with many a famous face.

Rihanna is on FIRE lately.

The singer has just teamed up with Dior to collaborate on a new sunglasses collection.

She's already a brand ambassador for the fashion house, but the new line of shades will see a major futuristic turn for the French giant.

"The process was pretty seamless," she told WWD.

"I spent a day at Dior with their eyewear design team. I started by looking through all the archives to see what they've done in the past, then got acquainted with all the new materials.

"I literally sat there and drew and drew until I was happy with the design, and the team illustrated it for me right then and there," she said. 

"We picked materials and colours that same day, and after that it was a matter of weeks before I saw the first prototype."

British actor Robert Pattinson may have fallen slightly off the radar following his turn in the Twilight franchise, but we are happy to report that he is still absolutely gorgeous. 

The 29-year-old has been named as the face of Dior Homme's Ready-to-Wear collection and the first pics suggest that the partnership is a match made in man heaven. 

The talented actor has teamed up with Karl Lagerfeld for the campaign which marks the first time the brand has used a Hollywood actor as the face of this particular line. 

However, it turns out Robert has worked with the famous fashion house before, most notably for its men's fragrance in 2013. 

The first look black and white pics from the campaign show a very clean cut version of the star looking dashing in Dior's smart attire. 

Meanwhile, things are still going strong on the relationship front for the actor who is reported to be closer than ever to his alleged fiancée, British artist FKA Twigs. 

Rob also has a number of film projects in the pipeline as he has finished filming epic action adventure The City of Z with Sienna Miller and Charlie Hunnam and is set to star in mob drama The Trap alongside Idris Elba and Al Pacino.

There are weddings and then are weddings.

In 2014 we were blown away by Kim Kardashian’s incredibly luxurious wedding to Kanye West. The whole thing supposedly cost €10.5 million. 

However, that’s practically thrifty in comparison to Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming’s extravagant ceremony.

Angelababy has become known as the Kim K of China, she’s a former model and actress.  She wasn’t going for the budget version of Kim and Kanye’s nuptials either, she shelled out €27.5 million for her big day. 

The 26-year old and her actor husband celebrated with just 2,000 of their closest friends at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. For reference, the royal wedding of Kate and William supposedly cost €29 million.

The venue was outfitted with screens that displayed photos of the handsome couple, taken during a pre-wedding shoot in Paris. At which the bride posed in a series of Elie Saab couture gowns.

What does it look like inside such an event? 

It looks like a ring worth more than $1.5 million by Parisian designer Chaumet- diamonds basically.

There was also the custom Christian Dior gown which Forbes reports took five months to create and featured “15 feet of ivory satin organza, 165 feet of tulle, a 10-foot-long train and nearly a hundred hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace.” 

There is no exact price for the dress to be found, but custom Dior is probably going to be hitting the six figure mark.

Oh, and the cake! Three metres of cake that is rumoured to have taken a month to assemble. It was shaped like a carousel and everything Pinterest dreams are made of. 

The celebrity couple are not the first, and definitely won’t be the last, to receive commercial sponsorship for their wedding. They also needed over 200 florists to help create the ‘Princesses’ Garden of Eden’ flower display. 

We wonder if that included the gift bags that guests left the party with-which included smart phones, obviously.

Johnny Depp is back in action!

We've seen numerous teasers over the past few weeks, but now Johnny Depp's full fragrance campaign for Dior has finally landed. 

In the short campaign video, directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino, we see the Hollywood actor playing his guitar in the middle of a dark nightclub. 

He then 'escapes' on a mysterious road trip across the desert – where even a buffalo and a coyote make a surprising appearance.

The new scent, Sauvage, was created by Francois Demachy for the French fashion house. 

Now a mature 52 (we still love him), Johnny's appointment follows a long string of actors fronting fragrance campaigns in recent years, including our own Colin Farrell for Dolce & Gabbana, Ryan Reynolds for Hugo Boss and Brad Pitt for Chanel No. 5.

Earlier this week the mother of an Irish school girl was heavily criticised for allowing her daughter to pursue her modelling career.

Darcy-Brittain-Dissont, from Co. Down is 13-years old and found herself in the middle of huge controversy when it emerged that she would be walking in the Belfast Fashion Week. She had been signed to the CMPR modelling agency.

Her mother, Brenda McCleary spoke to Evoke.ie about how she had apparently angered many parents by allowing her daughter to model and how she was in full support of Darcy’s decision.

“I fully approve of Darcy’s desire to model for CMPR and would support her 100%.”

She also went on to say that modelling is something Darcy wants to do in her spare time and they will encourage the teenager who she described as “academically strong.”

The owner of the CMPR agency Cathy Martin has said that the story was blown out of proportion and noted that Darcy would not be placed in situations deemed unsuitable for a teenage girl.

Darcy’s modelling career sparked some controversy when it was compared to the choice of fashion house Dior to use a model who was only 14 to be the face of their label but Cathy feels it is not the same situation. “It is not like the Dior model who was in a sheer dress and walking with adult models," she said.

Sofia Mechetner’s appearance on the runway for the label was contested when she was dressed in a sheer gown which many found too revealing for a young girl.

Darcy’s mom and Cathy Martin have insisted that “No one is exploited. No one is sexualised.”

Speaking with the Belfast Telegraph Darcy admitted she thinks a lot of the controversy surrounding her appearance at Belfast Fashion Week concerns her age. She notes in an interview that Kate Moss started modelling young too so it is not uncommon in the industry.

Seen as we are all so fond of getting in front of the camera these days, it’s about time someone invented a foundation that can make us look perfect even under the harshest of lights!

Dior have come up with Diorskin Star Foundation, which uses titanium. Apparently this ingredient helps to stop the skin from becoming shiny, and also soothes red patches while ‘amplifying radiance’.

We couldn’t really ask for much more from a foundation! The company developed the make-up after discovering that seven out of ten women aren’t too happy with the end result of selfies. Hopefully the ‘intelligent pigments’ which capture the light in the new make-up will make this dissatisfaction a thing of the past!

We thought Kim Kardashian may have been the face of this new foundation, seen as she’s such a fan of selfies, but no, it is the lovely Natalie Portman instead.

Good choice, Dior! We’re sold!
