Nicki Minaj came under fire this weekend for some seriously controversial footage, but she swears it was a misunderstanding.

The singer was hosting a Halloween event at 1OAK nightclub in Las Vegas over the weekend, donning a gold and cream fairy costume for the occasion.

In a clip posted to YouTube, the singer is seen laughing backstage with her entourage, before pointing her fairy wand at someone and shouting "Walk! I command you to walk."

The person in question appears to be sitting in a motorised wheelchair, leading many to hit back at Nicki for her seemingly insenstitve comment.

Taking to Twitter to respond to the claims, Nicki said the person was a "friend" and that she was in a "scooter," not a wheelchair.

"Lol. That's NOT a disabled person and u know that. Are u that desperate for attention?" she wrote in response to a Perez Hilton piece about the footage.

The writer replied by saying, "And how was I supposed to know a person in a wheelchair ISN'T disabled?" which certainly didn't go down well with Nicki.

"B**ch, u knew. That's my friend in a scooter. Have a great day. I surely will," she wrote.

Some sources have suggested the person in the scooter is in fact Nicki's close friend and make-up artist Sheika Daley, but the footage is still stirring up mixed reactions online:

One thing's for sure, we'll be using #BitchYouKnew as the new #MileyWhatsGood next time we have a bone to pick with someone.

Former The Voice Of Ireland judge Jamelia has certainly ruffled a few feathers – by saying that fat people shouldn’t be able to buy clothing on the High Street.

The singer appeared on Loose Women – where she is a regular panellist – on Tuesday afternoon and debated the issue of overweight teenagers.

“I am all for celebrating people for who they are – everyone has the right to be comfortable in their own skin,” she said live on air, before adding: “I think everyone should have access to lovely clothes but I do not think it’s right to facilitate people living an unhealthy lifestyle.”

She also stated: “In high-street stores you’re catering for the average woman; there’s a healthy [weight] range, and I don’t believe they should be providing clothes for below that range or above that range.

The 34-year-old mother-of-two concluded: “Yes have specialist shops, but you should feel uncomfortable if you’re unhealthy.”

Understandably, her comments quickly proved divisive, with viewers taking to social media to air their own opinions on the matter. One Twitter user was outraged, stating: “Disgusted and personally offended by what #jamelia said about plus size women. It’s just as bad as #racism and #homophobia”. Another Tweeted directly at the star, asking: “Really?? I am sorry should us larger people walk round in binbags to make you feel better. #disgusting”.

Jamelia featured on The Voice Of Ireland in 2013 and 2014

However, others seemed more sympathetic. “Kind of agree with the Jamelia thing, but only as part of a wider cultural change and education about health. Being size 22 isn't good,” said one supporter.

Jamelia, who appeared on the Loose Women episode wearing a dress from Marks & Spencer’s Per Una Speziale range and Rosa Red earrings, left her stint on RTE’s The Voice a year ago and was later replaced by current judge Una Foden of The Saturdays.

Jimmy Carr was left a little red-faced last night after an inappropriate joke he made got a less-than-desired reaction from the crowd.

The comedian was hosting last night’s Q Awards when he made an ill-conceived “joke” about Oscar Pistorious, who was jailed for five years on Tuesday for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Jimmy was speaking about toilet queues when he said: “So frustrating. All I’m saying is I can see it from Oscar Pistorious’ point of view.”

Rather unfortunately, the comedian didn’t stop there and went on to say: “That’s not the controversial bit. Here it comes…I blame her. If she hadn’t been in that disabled toilet none of this would have happened.”

The crowd were unforgiving and Jimmy’s comments went down like a lead balloon leaving an awkward silence in its wake.

The comedian then tried to loosen the crowd up and shouted at them: “It’s the f***ing Q Awards, come on!”

He wasn’t oblivious to his mess-up and later told The Mirror: “I think it went all right. I’m going to go home and write some new jokes.”

Might be a good move, Jimmy…

Something tells us he won't be getting a gig stateside anytime soon.

Clueless actress Stacey Dash is not too impressed by Kanye West’s recent comments about rape, comparing the intrusion of the paparazzi to the violation of rape.

And it looks as if it wasn’t just the general public that disagreed with his comments, but celebrities too!

The actress was speaking on Fox News Wednesday when she blasted the rapper’s misuse of the word rape: “For Kanye to say rape, maybe he needs to go spend some time on Rikers Island … Go to Rikers for a while and then he’ll know what rape is. I don’t get celebrities not understanding that the paparazzi are doing their job.”

Yikes! Fighting words, Stacey!

Kanye is not the first person to compare the paparazzi intrusion to rape, with Charlize causing a storm with similar comments recently.

Kanye West has compared having his photograph taken to rape.

Oh Kanye…

In a rant onstage this weekend, Kim Kardashian’s other half said,  “Everybody needs a day off, everybody needs the right to say ‘hey, you know what I need a minute to breathe.

“I want to bring my family to the movies without 30 motherf*****s following me. Everybody here, they like sex right? Sex is great when you and your partner be like ‘hey, this is what we both want to do.

“But if one of those people don’t want to do that, what does that constitute, that’s called rape. That is called violation.”

Within minutes, Kanye was blasted by fans, with one writing on Twitter, “Just stop. It is nothing like rape.”

Earlier this year actress Charlize Theron was slammed by rape charities after she compared press intrusion to sexual assault.

Maybe Kanye should have thought twice before he launched into this particular rant.

January Jones has received backlash over a photograph she uploaded to her Instagram account yesterday.

The Mad Men actress uploaded this picture with the caption: “I finally found it! #tbt to my first paid ‘modeling’ gig for a knitting magazine in South Dakota.”

Many of January’s followers were incensed by the image, calling it ‘racist’ and prompting the actress to remove the photo from her account.

She later acknowledged her removal of the photo, saying: “I had to swap my #tbt pics because I was receiving to many negative comments and assumptions. #thisforumshouldbeahappyandfunplaceihavenopatienceforhate.”

Like brother, like sister?

A photo of 15-year-old Jaden Smith shirtless and in bed with Kylie Jenner has surfaced, and is strikingly similar to the super controversial snap his sister Willow Smith appeared in with Mosies Arias.

In the black-and-white snap 16-year-old Kylie posted to her Tumblr page in April, Jaden is wearing only a backwards cap and Calvin Klein boxers.

Kylie is sitting behind straddling him and grinning.

“*Ksss* Ahhh … 2014,” she captioned the snap.

Days later, Jaden’s 13-year-old sister appeared in a black-and-white photo lying in bed with a shirtless Arias, 20, which he posted on Tumblr and Instagram before quickly taking it down.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashian star is rumoured to be dating Jaden, but their camps insist they are just ‘good friends’.

Either way, it seems yet another eyebrow-raising snap is causing controversy for the Smith household!
