Dublin’s seagulls have been getting a very bad rep for themselves lately, and now Irish singer Bressie has declared war on them!

It seems The Voice Ireland judge was at the mercy of some feisty gulls while out training for his triathlon yesterday.

“The sea gulls got me. We are in a war people,” the singer tweeted last night, with a snap of a pretty nasty head wound.

“Day before triathlon and split head. Good start,” he added.

Poor Bressie!

Bressie’s gull bashing comes after a Fianna Fail senator called on the Government to take action against “raucous” seagulls that are attacking young children.

Ned O’Sullivan said seagulls have “lost the run of themselves” in Dublin City and are even taking lollipops from children.

We wonder if there’s such a thing as Anger Management classes for birds…

It’s good to know that even the hottest musicians around went through an awkward teenage phase aswell! And even Bressie, the most beautiful man in Ireland, wasn’t always as stylish as he is now – singer Dara Munnis posted a great photo of the singer hanging out with Mark from Kodaline, saying Laura Whitmore and Eoghan put him up to it: “Sorry @markkodaline and @nbrez. My least sound tweet. @thewhitmore and @eoghanmcdermo put me up to it. #Flashback”

Model Roz Purcell has to be the luckiest girl in Ireland right now!

Not only is she absolutely stunning, but it’s pretty clear from these snaps that she’s totally and utterly loved up with The Voice Ireland hunk Bressie!

The couple have apparently been dating for two years, but have kept their romance pretty private…until now!

Roz treated fans to a rare glimpse of her relationship with the former Blizzards star when she shared some snaps of the couple on Instagram.

In the first snap, Bressie seems to be photobombing the model’s selfie but she keeps her cool saying, “Years of posing don’t even flinch when he ruins the selfie.”

The second photo shows the pair looking loved-up after an evening out in Dublin.

Be still our beating hearts!

Irish X Factor judge Louis Walsh has had a massive go at singer Bressie – saying he has no right to judge other people’s talents!

Louis said the former Blizzards singer is in no position to be judging hopeful musicians because he has never had a hit himself.

While the former manager of Boyzone and Westlife thinks Dolores O’Riordan is a hit on the show, he thinks Bressie should be booted off!

Louis said, “I thought Dolores was just fantastic. She was absolutely natural. She was just sitting there like she was at home watching telly.

“I think she was very honest and very good and she has sold a lot of records, unlike Bressie who has never had a hit.

“He is telling people what to do and he has never had a hit record.

“He should do male modelling. I think he should just forget about the music.”

Ouch!

He added, “I know Dolores and Kian [Egan] have, and Jamelia has had one or two hits but I can’t remember any of Bressie’s songs.”

And in a swipe at the Voice of Ireland Louis advised singing hopefuls to audition for the X Factor instead.

He said,  “I watched it but nothing ever happens to the winner. Look at One Direction, look at Ollie Murs, look at JLS and look at Leona Lewis. The Voice doesn’t produce stars.”

Bressie has opened up about his struggles with depression since he was a teenager.

The musician and star of The Voice penned an honest and emotional article for The Irish Independent in which he spoke about John Waters recent comments on mental health that caused much controversy.

John Waters said about depression: “I don’t believe in depression. There’s no such thing. It’s bulls***. It’s a cop out.”

Bressie said he was “low, very low, and scared sh******” after he purposely broke his own arm as a teenager, “One evening, I anchored myself to a chair as I lay by bed and intentionally and repeatedly crashed my forearm against the bridge of the frame until I felt the bone break.”

Bressie spoke about how he feels Ireland has come so far since he was a teenager suffering from depression and although there “may still be people like John who either don’t fully understand the complexities of mental health or are lucky enough not to have been affected by it, but I can tell you one thing, there are far more people out there who do understand.”

He also praises the Irish media in creating a platform for openness surrounding mental health issues, saying: “The Irish media is being incredibly forward thinking and supportive and genuinely having an impact and, without doubt, saving lives.”

The new addition to The Voice is proving a great success all round. Dolores is already emerging as the most sought after and most entertaining judge to take up a red seat on the show so far.

When all four judges turned last night for John Hogan Jr., a Wicklow native living in Galway, it seemed Kian, Bressie and Jamelia knew they didn’t stand a chance as Dolores had turned also.

John’s song, written by himself was described as a polite version of a rap song and it really impressed Dolores it would seem; “I’m very proud to come back and see this talent in my country.”

Dolores also came out on top when Ciara Donnelly chose Bressie over Kian and Jamelia but also added; “I had it in my mind who I was going to go for when I came in and she (Dolores) didn’t turn around so I’m going to go for Bressie”.

RTE The Voice have even released a hilarious video called ‘Doloresisms’ which you can watch here. G’wan Dolores!
