Alexa Chung has revealed her unlikely first ever style icon – Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast!

The IT girl took to her Instagram account and uploaded an image of the timeless character with the caption: “My first ever style icon.”

Now that she says it, we think we can actually see a resemblance – what do you think?!

It looks as if Alexa was just like us when she was younger, dressing up as Belle, Jasmine, Aurora and all of the other princesses!

The British TV presenter has a quirky ‘I-don’t-care’ sort of style that we have major envy over and her cat eye look is definitely one of her make-up signatures.

Style princess Alexa Chung is the new face of Nails Inc.

The 30-year-old model and TV presenter will collaborate with the UK-based brand on a six-shade collection of fabric-inspired nail polishes that are set to launch in August.

Alexa announced the news on Twitter, writing, ”This is a thing”, and attached the ad-snap of her clutching a huge bottle of varnish.

She then added, ”That’s a normal size bottle. I’m just really small…”

In June, customers will be given a sneak preview of the range when a limited-edition shade called Red Lace goes on sale at nailsinc.com.

Busy bee Alexa also plans to create her very first clothing collection later this year.

She said, ”That’s going to be the first opportunity where I haven’t had a nine-to-five job – I’ve been doing Eyeko, I wrote a book, I did Fuse every day, and various other design gigs and DJing.

”So this will be the first time to actually sort of sit down and think about it. I’m going to get it off the ground hopefully in 2014.”

Alexa admits she hasn’t gotten very far with her collection.

”For the first collection? Oh god I don’t even know… See, that’s why I need some time to think about it!”

When Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow announced their decision to consciously uncouple, there were whispers about the real reason for it.

Gwyn was almost immediately accused of cheating with Donovan Leitch because of a picture of the pair greeting each other at a baseball game.

We weren’t convinced – and we were definitely more interested in the less gossiped story regarding Chris and Alexa Chung.

The two had reportedly gotten close, sharing a love for obscure music and London, and were even spotted having late night milkshakes last summer.

This week a tweet appeared from a diner who spotted the pair having a cosy dinner together at a New York restaurant.

So were the gossip columnists right? Was Chung the spark for the Martin-Paltrow divorce?

Alexa Chung to launch second Eyeko collection

After the success of Alex Chung’s first collaboration with the cosmetics company, Eyeko, Alexa has revealed that she plans on organising another eye range with the make-up company.

Alexa revealed at Sunday’s Met Ball that she was always a fan of the brand and often used Eyeko’s eyeliner long before signing a deal with the company.

“I was in London anyway, so I met up with Max and Nina (Leykind, the company’s founders) and we just immediately started brainstorming ideas for some sort of—ambassadorship, I guess you’d say. I liked the idea of focusing on just one thing—everything about eyes.”

Alexa said she was very excited about her latest line and revealed that her new collection will be out in June.

“We started out with a classic black eyeliner—and now we’re doing these new shadows, which are out in June!”

Rita Ora puts her foot in it by sleeping with the shoe enemy

Rita Ora landed herself in hot water with Italian trainer brand Superga – when she was snapped wearing shoes by a rival label.

The pop star, who inked a deal as the face of the shoe label, agreed not to wear trainers by rival companies during her time as the label’s ambassador.

She was reportedly paid £180,000 to stay loyal to Superga, taking over from Alexa Chung.

But last April, the Hot Right Now singer was spotted at a London nightclub wearing a pair of Converse, with celebrity pals Cara Delevingne and Ellie Goulding in tow.

This led to the Scottish firm who own Superga to withdraw her last two payments for breaching her contract.

The singer was caught up in a hefty legal battle with the brand as she demanded to be paid her fee and asked for £90,000 extra for her troubles.

The case has now been settled out of court, and while the outcome has been kept hush-hush, it seems both parties have moved on!

Rita is rumoured to be collaborating with Adidas, and Superga have snapped up model Suki Waterhouse as the new face of their brand.
