Adele

She was left devastated last month after having to cancel a gig in Arizona due to sickness, but Adele now has a plan to ensure that bad bugs will never defeat her again.

While most people might expect such a plot to involve regular trips to the doctor and a whole lot of Vitamin C, Adele has actually gone for a much more unique approach.

According to The Sun, the Hello singer has taken to quarantining her crew members in a bid to protect her own health for the rest of her world tour.

Apparently the star’s doctor has been instructed to run health checks on crew members, with those who pass being honoured with a special badge which proves they are fit and well, and those who don’t receiving no badge at all.

Adele then avoids speaking to any badgeless individuals in order to preserve her own health.

Is it crazy?  Maybe.  But is it genius?  Most definitely!

Playing an Adele track as we walk up the aisle is the closest most of us would ever come to having her at our wedding, but then we're not Vince and Ryan from the States, are we?

In an incredible stroke of luck, the singer spotted two fans dancing their socks off during a recent concert in the Los Angeles’ Staples Centre, and decided to call them up to the stage.

In the space of a minute, we learned that Vince and Ryan were engaged and set to marry in Montana next September – a ceremony which Adele will now be attending after graciously accepting their spur-of-the-moment invite!

"I would love to come," she told an overexcited Vince before assuring Ryan that she didn't have a rate and she'd 'do it for free'.

Having uploaded the incredible moment to YouTube earlier this month, the footage started really doing the rounds this week, and fans of the singer are unsurprisingly falling all over themselves.

"How did you guys NOT faint wtf" wrote one while another added: "If Adele says she's going, she's going! Congratulations on the wedding guys!"

Just imagine hearing Adele say yes to your wedding invitation…

She’s shared makeup free selfies and had her card declined in H&M and now Adele has proven yet again that – vocal talents aside – she really is just like the rest of us.

How so?  Well, just like us, it seems the star is a sucker for adorable animals as during a recent performance at the Staples Centre in LA the singing sensation just couldn’t resist asking an Irish man and his dog to join her on stage.

Tommy O’Malley and his little dog Casper received the dream surprise over the weekend as they had the opportunity to meet, chat with and – in Casper’s case – even kiss the Hello singer.

But as excited as Tommy and Casper were to meet Adele, it seems the Grammy winner was equally chuffed with meeting them as Casper received a couple of kisses from the star as well as a good belly rub.  Aww!

Tommy took to Facebook to mark the occasion by uploading multiple pictures of he, Adele and Casper along with a treasured video clip of the experience.

We are never leaving our dogs at home again!

Since Adele became famous, she's been known for her winged eyeliner and perfectly contoured face.

However, the singer opted for the natural look last night when she shared a series of make-up free pictures on Instagram.

But, even when Adele is sick and make-up free, she looks just as bright and beautiful as ever.

We've all been there: you've finally reached the till, there's a queue of disgruntled shoppers shuffling behind you, your items get scanned through, and then your credit card gets declined.

Do you frantically look in your purse for cash knowing full well you don't have a cent or do you simply take it on the chin and say you'll call back later?

Most of us would cringe from head to toe and vow never to return to that store, and it sounds like Adele is no different.

The multi award-winning star may have millions in the bank but that doesn't mean she's immune to the odd technical glitch, and she experienced one while shopping in H&M recently.

In classic Adele style, the singer spilled the deets to her audience during a performance in San Jose's SAP Centre over the weekend.

"I went to H&M and my card got declined," she confessed. "Oh my days, pretty embarrassing."

Thankfully, the singer managed to go unrecognised, but the incident still didn't do much for the star's pride, continuing: "Nobody knew it was me, but I was mortified."

We don't know about you, but it makes us feel so much better over all those times we had to do the fake run to the ATM.

BRB…we swear.

Her MEGA loyal fans are known for going above and beyond to play homage to their icon.

And certainly, a recent concert at the Key Arena in Seattle was no different.

Performing on stage to an adoring crowd of some 17,500, the British songster picked out an impersonator from the crowd for special mention.

Indeed, the 28-year-old Oscar-winner even invited the drag queen artist – who looked gorgeously like Adele herself – onto the stage.

Named Kristie Champagne (although her real name is Kristopher Zello), Adele told her: "You look amazing, oh my gosh." She added gesturing at the full-length gown Kristie was wearing: "I really love that dress."

The drag queen, who performs as Adele twice a week, responded to her idol: "You seriously changed my life for the better."

She also later shared snaps of her with the superstar on social media, captioning one image: "That moment you meet Adele… Your idol and inspiration… and you make the same dumb face you always make!"

If you were one of the thousands left devastated by the cancellation of Garth Brooks' Croke Park gigs in 2014 or missed out on Adele's 3Arena concerts back in March, it sounds like you're about to get a second chance to see these musical legends do their thing in Ireland.

Well, according to Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Des Cahill, that is.

Speaking on Cork's Red FM this morning, the Lord Mayor hinted that the People's Republic might be welcoming both Adele and Garth in the not-too-distant future.

"The speculation that we could be welcoming Garth Brooks and Adele to Leeside next summer is outstanding news for Cork," he said while speaking to prominent radio DJ, Neil Prendeville.

"Although the concerts have yet to be officially confirmed the speculation that two blockbuster gigs are in the pipeline for the new Cork stadium in the summer of 2017 is a huge boost," he added.

Adding even more fuel to the fire, Lord Mayor Cahill took to Twitter this morning to express his excitement over the possibility that the city might soon be hosting two of the biggest names in the music industry.

We know it's not confirmed, we know it's not a sure thing, but that hasn't stopped us planning our route to Cork…

Adele might be flat out working on her American tour right now, but that doesn’t mean the singing sensation will be taking a break anytime soon.

According to The Irish Mirror, the British hit-maker is reportedly planning to use her upcoming two week holiday to film scenes for a new Hollywood blockbuster.

The 28-year-old star is rumoured to have earned herself a small role in The Death and Life of John F Donovan, a movie which is to be directed by Xavier Dolan – who previously directed Adele’s Hello video – and will star Natalie Portman and Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington.

The Help actress Jessica Chastain and Oscar winner Susan Sarandon are also believed to be involved in the project.

A source told The Daily Star: “Adele doesn't want to be a full-time actress, but she enjoyed working with Dolan and he thought she could bring a lot to the screen.”

While Adele’s acting debut has yet to be confirmed by her team, we’re already excited by the possibility that she could be set for big screen glory.

One of the reasons we love Adele more than we could ever properly articulate is because she seems so down-to-earth.

Cursing with wild abandon, admitting she's heard Jennifer Aniston's 'p*ss come out', and feigning shock at the idea of being part of Tay's squad means we feel we can totally relate to the star.

And then we'll hear a story that reminds us no matter how colourful her language or how star-struck she gets at times, Adele is a multi award-winning pop sensation who can pretty much do whatever she damn well pleases.

And if recent reports currently doing the rounds are to be believed, Adele did exactly that when she requested hotel staff organise a pizza delivery…from 112 kilometres away.

While staying at the Soho Farmhouse country hotel in Oxfordshire, the When We Were Young singer got a craving for a pizza from her local eaterie in Kensington, and hotel staff were apparently more than happy to oblige.

But after a 225-kilometre round-trip, staff discovered that Adele had decided to grab a little shut-eye and was all tucked up and fast asleep by the time her pizza had finally made its way to Oxfordshire.

225 kilometres? How good could it actually be?!

Adele is currently on a 105-date tour, and it seems she's become very close with her fans.

The singer, who is notorious for keeping her life private, opened up to concert-goers while in Minnesota on Tuesday and said she'd like her boyfriend, Simon Konecki, to pop the question.

"I might as well be married, but I'm not. I would tell you if I did. I wouldn't be able to contain myself.

"He simply hasn't proposed yet, so let's move on from that," she said.

Was that a dig at Simon?! Probably not, but it seems like she's ready to take the next step now since she wasn't so keen last year.

She told Rolling Stone: "We just haven't felt the need to get married. We've got a kid together.

"I feel like that's a big enough commitment," she added.

For most of us, break-ups and Adele albums go hand-in-hand, but what does the queen of splitsville soundtracks listen to when she herself is going through a break-up?

While we'd like to imagine her tearfully wailing Someone Like You while trawling through his Facebook page, the singer (obvs) steers clear of her own back catalogue.

Speaking to People magazine about her own personal process, the 28-year-old Londoner – who is currently in a happy relationship with the father of her child – said: "I mope around for a little while. I do embrace the fact that I'm heartbroken. I don't move quickly,"

Adele explained that she relies on Bonnie Raitt's Can't Make You Love Me, Mumford and Sons' After the Storm, David Gray's This Year's Love and Katy Perry's Not Like The Movies to navigate those tricky weeks and months post-break up.

And while the rest of us make bad decisions regarding alcohol, ice cream and other men in the aftermath, Adele can generally make a positive from a negative during this time. (Hello, multiple Grammy awards)

Commenting on this talent, the When We Were Young singer simply said: "I don't know if that's because it seems that I'm only really creative when I'm a bit momentarily depressed."

All we get out of a break-up is a hatred for certain restaurants and an attachment to a football team we thought we despised.
