Indulging in a spot of shopping is one of the nicest treats you can give yourself, and now you can actually help others with your sartorial splurging.

From Friday April 28 to Monday, May 1, Dundrum Town Centre will be playing host to a Shop for Good charity fundraising initiative for the fourth year running.

Aiming to raise funds and awareness for the charity Pieta House, Dundrum Town Centre has created a four day shopping event in the behemoth mall.

The way it works is that customers are asked to purchase Shop for Good coupons for €1.00 from pop-up booths around the centre.

100 per cent of the proceeds made from the sale of the coupons will go to Pieta House, and customers can use the coupons to avail of fantastic discounts across a huge range of stores and restaurants in Dundrum Town Centre.

'We are delighted that Pieta House is the nominated charity for the Dundrum Town Centre Shop For Good initiative,' said Brian Higgins, Pieta House CEO.

A post shared by Dundrum Town Centre (@dundrumtc) on

'We are so grateful for such initiatives because they serve to highlight the work that we’re doing at Pieta House.'

'It’s because of the generosity of people across Ireland that we are able to keep our services free of charge and are so happy to say that more than 29,000 people have accessed them since the day we opened 11 years ago.'

Pieta House is a free crisis centre offering counselling, therapy and support to individuals suffering with suicide thoughts and self-harm.

They also support individuals and families who have been bereaved by suicide.

This initiative is going to support this extremely worthy cause, so get shopping nd know that every coupon used is helping those in need of mental health support.

Easter is just around the corner, and with it brings chocolate eating, family gatherings, and maybe even a bit of mass if you're feeling devout.

It can sometimes be tough to find an outfit that looks fancy enough for a family occasion, while remaining super comfy to accommodate the food baby made of confectionery that we plan to establish on the day.

We're all told to make smart financial investments, but we never thought that buying a handbag would be one of them.

Brands like Chanel, Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Mulberry often increase in value as the years go on, but one style of bag in particular stands out above the rest.

The Hermes Birkin bag, named after the iconic Jane Birkin, has increased in value over 500 per cent in the last 35 years, beating out gold as a better investment.

A post shared by The Birkin Fairy (@thebirkinfairy) on

"An investor who purchased a Hermes Birkin handbag would enjoy a profitable return regardless of when they decided to cash in as the value has only risen since 1980," according to data collected by Bag Hunter.

"While economic factors affect the value of the S&P 500 and gold, the exclusivity of Hermes Birkin bags has seen them maintain and increase their value, even during times of recession."

"This makes Hermes Birkin handbags by far the least risky investment of the three."

A post shared by Love My Hermes (@lovemyhermes) on

Since 1981, the value of a Birkin has increased by 14.2 per cent each year, on average.

Waiting lists for the bags can be up to six years long, and the exclusivity of the bags propels their value, as the demand for them is much higher than the supply.

The average Birkin can cost anything from €7,000 to €15,000, with prices climbing as you consider all the various different options for leather types, sizes and hardware.

A post shared by The Birkin Fairy (@thebirkinfairy) on

2015 saw a record-breaking year for the bag, when a record sale for a single handbag sold at auction was broken by a hot pink crocodile-skin Hermes Birkin, which sold for an exorbitant €210,268.

While a Birkin may be slightly out of our price range, a girl can dare to dream, right?

Love it or hate it, there was one fashion item that was seen on everyone and their mother last summer.

That Zara coat is back in store, and fans of the garment are more than excited.

Coat €69.95

The "Frayed Printed Coat," other wise dubbed as "that coat" is so popular that it even has an Instagram dedicated to its oh so fashionable existence.

The account, which has over 8,000 followers, documents the adventures of the coat all over the UK, posting images of bloggers wearing it and even mere mortals donning the garment in the wild.

The account keeps fans of the coat up to date on when it is in store, and once you are aware of the existence of the coat, you can never un-see it.

A post shared by That Coat (@thatcoat) on

Prepare to spot it on the Luas, in St Stephens' Green on a sunny day and all over Grafton Street.

That coat now also has an equally as stylish sister which comes in red rather than the classic navy.

Coat €69.95

We love both styles, and the thought of owning something as ionic has us very excited.

We're sure this new drop of coats will sell out as quickly as the first.

If you're short, shopping for clothes is no walk in the park.

And normal/tall people will never understand the struggles of finding jeans that actually fit you.

SO, if you're vertically challenged, you'll know ALL about these 6 truths when shopping for clothes.

1. You have to be SUPER selective about where you shop

People will think you're being fussy, but some stores just don't cater for small people.

You kissed goodbye to a lot of shops a loooong time ago.

2. River Island jeans were your saviour

They were really the first affordable brand that began doing small sizes on the highstreet.

And my God, did you buy a pair in every colour.

3. Forget shopping abroad

Is it just me or do foreign countries just not cater for small people?

Whether you shop in Spain or New York, even the small sizes seem HUGE.

4. You hate to admit it, but you do shop in the kids section sometimes

Whether it's for shoes or a cosy jumper, sometimes kids sizes just fit you more snuggly.

Shout out to a child's size 33-34 in Dunnes.

5. But then, you feel like a child

Between clothes drowning you and being able to fit into your younger sister's clothes, you will no doubt feel like a child every now and again.

And that's a shit-buzz.

6. But f*ck it, you're cute

After years of hating your body for not growing and catching up with the other kids, you realise that it could be worse.

And everyone sees you as 'the cute one', which ain't bad at all.
