If we had one complaint about the weepy romantic blockbuster that is The Notebook, it's that we never got to see any more of Noah and Allie's story after they finally got together.

Yes, of course we meet them again in their final days on earth, but what about everything that happened in between? Their marriage, their kids, their jobs… it's all a mystery.

Now though, that mystery is about to be solved with a new series. US TV network The CW is currently developing a show based on the 2004 sleeper hit, and it promises to fill in the blanks for us all.

The new project will "follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina," according to The CW.

In the words of Noah himself:

While we won't get to see Ryan Gosling getting drenched in the rain as he smooches Rachel McAdams, we're sure whoever does step in to take on the roles will be equally charming (and hopefully as handsome).

Author Nicholas Sparks, who wrote the bestselling book behind the film, will be an executive producer on the series, which is currently in development but has no start date as yet.

As for the poignant end to Allie and Noah's story which sees Rachel McAdam's character end up in a nursing home, the TV network behind say the series most likely won't touch on that…. but they don't know for certain.

"I don’t believe we’re going to see the older couple—what they become,” The CW president Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Los Angeles. “But things change [in development]."

Whatever way it works out, we will definitely be giving this new show a look.

Well, this has brightened up our Monday in a big way. We love a good celebrity throwback picture here at SHEmazing! Towers, and this latest one has to be the best we've seen in a while.

N*SYNC singer Lance Bass took to Twitter recently to share a pretty epic childhood picture from his days on The Mickey Mouse Club. "#FBF to that time when a 3-way meant something completely different!!" he wrote, posting a picture of Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and their former co-star Jennifer McGill sharing a hug backstage.

Justin's curls… we can't even.

American variety TV series The Mickey Mouse Club ran from 1989 to 1995, with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Keri Russell all cutting their teeth in the entertainment industry on the show alongside Lance, Ryan and Justin.

Twenty years on, both Justin and Ryan have recently welcomed their first children. Justin has a three-month old son named Silas with actress Jessica Biel, while Ryan has a ten-month old girl named Esmeralda with Eva Mendes.

Following weeks of speculation, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced yesterday that they were splitting up after ten years of marriage.

Considered to be one of Hollywood’s strongest couples, Ben and Jen are only the latest in a long list of celebrity relationships that have caused us some serious devastation.

We still sometimes can’t believe Brad and Jen just didn’t make it. What even is love?

Every time a celebrity couple goes through a break up, we all cry with them. However, clearly some are just more devastating than others.

In particular, these break ups are still a little hard for us to talk about. No, time hasn’t healed all wounds unfortunately…

Britney and Justin

The double denim duo broke our hearts in the 00s. He was her first kiss, ever.

Brad and Jen

Everything is fine, until that Friends episode comes on and we have emotional flashbacks to the devastation that occurred ten years ago.

Orlando and Miranda

Maybe all hope is not lost, seeing as Orlando has said to the press “we’re not friends. We’re family.” We’re not crying either.

Reese and Ryan

They met at her 21st birthday party (nwwaaa!) in 1997, got married and had two children before splitting up in 2006. We’re still haven’t found two blondes pretty enough to replace them in our hearts.

Ashton and Demi

It doesn’t matter that he and Mila just had a baby, we’re still not convinced he and Demi really called it quits. Why would they do that to us? Why?

Rachel and Ryan

Everything about The Notebook makes us cry, then we pulled ourselves together knowing they were happy in real life. Remember the MTV Movie Awards? Yeah, us too. Then, in 2008 they broke our hearts and we’re still not over it to be honest.

Selena and Justin

Shattering our hearts not just once, but twice. The Baby singer just can’t seem to get over her either with rumours circulating his new single, Where Are U Now, is full of messages about his former love. It’s like standing outside someone’s window with a boom box, if you’re a 21-year old millionaire.

It turns out there are some people out there who have been mixing up Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling, so Mr. Reynolds took to Twitter to set the record straight.

We have to admit, there are a lot of similarities between Ryans 1 and 2. Firstly, they are both unbelievably good-looking. Secondly, they both look great topless. Thirdly, they are both the most adorable Dads on the planet. And finally… did we mention they are both unbelievably good-looking?

But all topless pictures aside, we think Ryan Reynolds might win the award for our favourite Ryan after his hilarious tweet about the mix-up.

The Green Lantern star tweeted this in response after a follower said, "I honestly don't know the difference between Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds":

It seems the cheeky actor is not the only one making jokes in his marriage, either, with Ryan's wife  Blake Lively taking  to Instagram last weekend to share a pretty unusual Father's Say message with her hubby.

Sharing a picture of Ryan carrying the couple's daughter James, Blake wrote, "Happy Fathers Day!!! …@vancityreynolds Since the day our baby was born, I've felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father."

If you don't already follow Ryan on Twitter (and Blake on Instagram) please do so, immediately… You're missing out on some pretty epic jokes.

Eva Mendes has made the decision not to celebrate Mother's day this year, despite the fact that she welcomed her first child, Esmeralda, with Ryan Gosling in September.

Eva spoke to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover: "There is no plan. I kind of feel like I haven't quite earned my stripes yet in a way. My daughter is 7 months."

She has taken the decision to focus on her own mother for the day, rather than herself.

"This Mother's Day is definitely all about my mom. She's had a really hard year. My brother's sick, so it's all about my mom, honoring her," she said.

She then added: "We're all going to go over to her house and bombard her with love."

Mendes also went on to say how she loves it when mothers dress like their daughters: "It's so sweet to me. My mother was always one of those mothers that dressed me like my sisters. Like exactly alike — and there's a huge age gap!" she said. "My poor sisters were 8 and 9 years older than me and dressing like a 5-year-old."

We wonder if she will do the same with Esmeralda if her and Ryan decide to have another baby.

Esmeralda is the couples first child. They have been together since 2011.

Ryan Gosling has had to dye his hair black for a new movie role.

The heart throb was spotted in New Orleans on Wednesday without his usual rugged look.

Instead he was sporting a more sophisticated black, short back and sides style.

It must have only been dyed that morning, as he was spotted in LAX the day before with his usual dark blonde hair after taking off his hat and taking down his hood.

We have to admit, we miss the old Ryan!

Luckily, this change was only for his new movie role as Greg Lippmann in The Big Short. A film based around the 2008 financial crash.

Don’t get us wrong, he still looks gorgeous as ever.

The film also stars Brad Pitt, Beyonce, and Christian Bale.

Okay fiiiine, we’ll watch it…

Eva Mendes might still be adjusting to life as the mum of a six-month-old baby, but she's not going to let her style standards drop.

Next time you slip into a pair of trackie bottoms after a hard day at work, prepare to feel a bit sorry for poor Eva who has never known such comforts!

The actress, who welcomed a little girl named Esmeralda with husband Ryan Gosling last September, revealed she still wants to look on form when she's at home and says she'd never even consider wearing sweatpants around the house for fear for causing marriage trouble.

"Sweatpants, no, no, no, no," the 41-year-old said in a recent interview with Extra. "No, no, you can't do sweatpants. Ladies, number one cause of divorce in America is sweatpants. No, you can't do that."

The actress revealed that she's slowly getting used to motherhood – despite the lack of sleep. "I'm actually starting to sleep so I'm at a good place," she admitted.

"But you never know, right, something random can happen and she’s just suddenly not sleeping through the night and you’re like, wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night, what’s up?! Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?!”

Eva said that becoming a new mama has given her a newfound appreciation for her own mother, too. "My mother has never gotten more like 'I love you so much Mommy' texts," Mendes spilled. "I mean, randomly, I'm just, 'I love you so much, Mom. You're the best mom.' If you look at my text history it's like all how much I love her."

Well Eva, if you gave sweatpants a try we reckon you'd love them JUST as much!

Of all the places to carry out a romantic surprise proposal, a crowded film festival Q&A wouldn't really be top of our list.

But if that film screening is your one and only chance to propose in front of big-name actors like Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Saoirse Ronan… then we guess we'll let it slide. Just this once.

One movie fan took the opportunity to use the final question slot at a recent Q&A event with the Lost River cast at SXSW festival to propose to her girlfriend of 11 years. While the cast seemed pretty delighted, the girlfriend herself seemed pretty shocked!

He can rarely put a foot wrong in our eyes on a normal day, so you can imagine just how much we are fawning over Ryan Gosling after this latest story.

The star, who became a father back in September of last year, appears to have gone under the needle in honour of his daughter, Esmeralda.

Yes, the internet is going crazy after photographs of Ryan out and about in Los Angeles surfaced this weekend, with the actor sporting the letters ‘ESME’ on the knuckles of his left hand.

While it’s not known yet whether the inking is permanent or not, it is clearly a dedication to his five-month-old bundle of joy with partner Eva Mendes.

Unfortunately, we still haven’t been treated to a sneak peek of little Esmeralda herself. Come on, guys, you’re killing us here!

If it really is permanent, then Ryan follows in the footsteps of celebrity dads Kanye West and TOWIE star Dan Osborne, who both got tattoos in honour of their little ones this week.

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are one of Hollywood's golden couples, but now it seems they could be on the verge of a split.

40-year-old Eva has been at home with the couple's new daughter Esmeralda in Los Angeles, while Ryan has been spending long periods in Georgia, filming his new movie The Nice Guys, which has understandably put a strain on their relationship as they adjust to life as parents.

But that's not the only source of the problem, a source told OK! magazine. "It's more than just run-of-the-mill stress that comes with having a newborn. They're barely talking… Eva has pushed him away."

The couple's rocky patch apparently got worse when Eva chose not to travel to Georgia to stay there for the duration of Ryan's filming schedule, meaning he is flying regularly between two states to see his family. "So instead of coming home every night to them, he's jetting back and forth just so he can see his daughter," said the source.

The notoriously private couple, who started dating in September 2011 after filming A Place Beyond The Pines, haven't been pictured in public together for over a year.

Eva is reportedly reluctant to go outside in L.A. with baby Esmeralda, most likely for fear of paparazzi. "The last time Ryan was in LA, he told her that she and Esmeralda needed to get outside for some fresh air, but she just wouldn't listen," said the insider.

On a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Eva spoke about her desire to give her little one a normal upbringing, saying she refused to take on a nanny or other hired help. "Esmeralda has two amazing grandmothers and incredible aunties who come over and help me," she said.

Hopefully this is just a difficult patch for the couple – we love them together!

It’s been two months since Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed their little girl into the world, and now Eva has finally opened up about becoming a new mum.

The actress was speaking on The Violet Files when she described why they chose the beautiful name Esmerelda Amada for their little girl, saying: “Ryan and I both love the Esmeralda character from the Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and we just think it’s a beautiful name. Amada was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish.”

Eva also explained why she and Ryan chose to keep her pregnancy a secret for such a long time, saying: “Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda. I think it’s unfair but that’s our reality. Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could. And my pregnancy was the first opportunity to do that.”

The actress also joked that while motherhood may be a tiring job, it’s nothing compared to being a baby: “Everything is a struggle for her. For instance, I haven’t thrown up since the ‘90s and she’s thrown up twice since we started this interview. Motherhood is cake compared to what it’s like to be a baby.”

Refreshingly, she also described how she loves to find solace in other mums through the internet: “[I] read the comment section from other mothers because I find so much solace in that. Just knowing that I’m not alone out there and that other mums have gone though the same thing can at least get me through the night.”

That’s nice and all Eva, but you also have RYAN GOSLING to get you through the night – we have hot water bottles.

As celebrity stalker stories go, this one has to be right up there with the freakiest.

Ryan Gosling has apparently taken out a restraining order against a woman who he claims has been stalking him for three months and claiming that she is his “twin flame”.

According to TMZ, legal documents state that Grace Marie Del Villar has been harassing the actor by sending disturbing emails and packages to him.

Del Villar’s harassment hasn’t stopped with Ryan though, oh no. She has also turned her attention towards Ryan’s sister, and has been bombarding her with frenzied messages regarding the actor. In one, Del Villar is reported to have left a message saying: “I am kicking your brother’s head.”

For someone who claims to be his ‘twin flame’, why would she want to kick his head?!

Apparently Ryan reached the end of his tether with his stalker last month, when Del Villar allegedly showed up at Gosling’s family residence claiming to be his twin sister. When she was refused entry through the security gate, she left a doll catalogue at the entrance.

Can you say freaky?

According to the court documents, Del Villar has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Ryan, partner Eva Mendes and their daughter Esmeralda.
