It's safe to say inner beauty is something most of us struggle with in Ireland.

Yes, we have good days and bad days, and sometimes our inner voice speaks louder than anything else.

So, we caught up with Roz Purcell, the new ambassador for IMEDEEN skin care, to see how she keeps on top of her healthy glow and her inner confidence.

When asked about her skin care routine, Roz believes that it's a round-the-clock job and something you need to keep in check.

"Skin is something that's 24/7 and that just comes from drinking water all day. Obviously I eat really clean, 80% of the time, and I just make sure I'm eating foods that won't spike any outbreaks."

Being the foodie wonder that she is, Roz knows that you sometimes have to avoid certain foods in order to work towards a healthy complexion.

"It's more that I try to avoid processed sugars and processed food in general but sugar is something that definitely spikes any sort of outbreak."

"Obviously I eat a lot of natural sugars and a lot of the stuff I make is nut based, which I try to stick to during the week."

Sometimes, however, you can't avoid an outbreak, which means our confidence might take a hit. But fear not; Roz believes that a few simple little tricks will give you enough of a boost to get you through a bad day.

"For example, if I'm having a bad skin day, my hair is on point and likewise if I'm having a bad hair day, my skin is on point, so you kind of compensate one for the other."

"I think when your skin has an eruption, which happens to all of us, it's worse when you try to cover it loads. It's important your skin breathes and I guess just try to drink as much water as you can."

These day, many of us are trying to tone down our make-up as we learn about letting our skin breathe, but it's often easier said than done.

"If you look at my photos from like, five years ago, I totally layered on the make-up and my hair was huge; so, it's taken me a while to tone it down.

"Make-up is there to enhance your features, not cover them up. You want someone to tell you, 'Oh, you look gorgeous today' not, 'Oh, your make-up is fab today'."

"It took me a number of years and getting to know my face a lot, but you'll get there eventually, it's all about trial and error."

Roz Purcell has opened up about a terrifying car crash she was involved in four years ago.

The model is currently an Ambassador for Skoda and recently she has been learning how to drive with the help of The Anton Savage Show and the Irish School of Motoring.

Speaking on Anton's show today, the Tipperary woman opened up about her fear of motorways: “I got in a really bad crash about 4 years ago, I was caught underneath a lorry.

“It was me and my eldest sister, we were driving home one weekend, and thankfully, it was actually really wet roads so the lorry, we were kind of in its blind spot and he came across and we got caught underneath the front of it and we skidded for about half a kilometre,” she said.

“We were really lucky cause the car was completely wrote off, and my sister and I were completely fine.”

“I just remember [my sister] going ‘are you okay, are you okay?’ and I remember being like ‘she’s so selfless right now’ cause she kept being like ‘are you okay?’ and I just kept thinking about myself, like ‘can’t believe I’m going to die, can’t believe I’m going to die,” she laughed.

“I was really like ‘this is it’, I can’t believe I’m going to die in a car crash."

That was a lucky escape Roz! We all know any kind of car crash can be super scary.

Despite being with her beau Bressie for over three years, Roz Purcell has no plans to settle down just yet.

The Irish duo are currently living together along with Roz's sister Rachel and things seem to be going very well with the Voice of Ireland coach.

But speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror, the 25-year-old model admitted that her family are a bit worried that things are moving very fast with the Blizzards frontman.

"We got a dog and my parents were like ‘Really? You need to think about that now.'

"They’re so anti anything like that. They’re very much like ‘go travelling, live your life, do everything you want.' "

And when asked if she wanted to have babies at some point, the stunning brunette remained coy, joking: "I would be totally happy with just loads of dogs."

Roz recently hit headlines over to success of her pop-up shop in Dublin that coincided with the release of her book, Natural Born Feeder.

The shop was a roaring success and raised over €11,000 for Capuchin Day Centre For Homeless People.

"From doing the pop-up and even with my friends that run restaurants, it’s something you have to be really committed to and at the moment there are some things I want to do,” she explained.

“I definitely want to do another book and I’m doing some bits and bobs with TV at the moment.

“I’d like to expand outside of Ireland as well."

We expect big things for this one.

Long known for her Rapunzel-like blonde tresses, Rosanna Davison took everyone by surprise three weeks ago when unveiled her brand new look: significantly shorter hair sliced up to her shoulders.

"Chop chop!! Thanks to @ceiralambert for the new hairdo," she told her 107,000 Instagram fans late last month while also sharing a snap of her gorgeous gruaige.

"Still have my @goldfeverhair in for volume but nice to have a change."

Suffice to say that here at SHEmazing Towers, we are BIG fans of the former Miss World's revised hair-do. In fact, we dare say she's never looked better.

We're not the only ones either, for it now transpires that a host of big names are eagerly following in nutritionist Rosie's stylish footsteps.

First out of the traps was model Holly Carpenter. "Bit of a change for the weekend," she revealed less than a week after Ms Davison took the plunge.

"Got my @goldfeverhair out and a bit of a chop (my own hair has grown so much while my last set were in)."

Then late last week, Irish hairdresser to the stars, Maurice Flynn, shared a snap of Georgia Penna on his Instagram page.

Gave @georgiapenna a good chop. I love this length on her! What a babe

The model and recent mother-of-two looked seriously amazing with her formerly long locks cut up to just below her shoulders. "I love this length on her," Mr Flynn declared. "What a babe."

Meanwhile, over the weekend Michele McGrath, also a model, showed off her short and sexy style. "Thanks for my new bob @ceiralambert," she declared. "Love it."

It remains to be seen who the next starlet to embrace a shorter style will be – though we reckon that one-time Miss Universe Ireland Roz Purcell would look all sorts of fabulous with a bob.

And regardless of who goes for the chop next – it's definitely official: the 'Rosanna' is the hottest hair trend going right now.

Roz Purcell has been treating the people of Dublin to some tasty and incredibly healthy nibbles in her pop-up cafe on Baggot street today.

The Natural Born Feeder pop-up is open until Friday and having already sold out today, the shop is definitely a success.

Offering soups from €3, sweet treats from €2 and protein packed smoothies from €5 and with all the proceeds going to the Capuchin Day centre, there's no excuse not to get down there this week.

You can find the shop at 140 Baggot Street Lower and it opens from 8am so be sure to get there early.

And if Twitter is anything to go by, the snacks are simply delicious.

It all looks scrumptious.

Irish model Roz Purcell is currently living it up in Iceland but something very nasty happened to her lips yesterday.

The brunette beauty took to Instagram to share the horror of seeing her lips all swelled and puffed up after she went snorkelling in the cold.

Roz wrote: "They warned us of the after effects of snorkelling in minus temperatures."

She then goes on to describe her ordeal, saying that she appeared rather differently under water.

"The 'Angeline Jolie effect' lips. In the water I actually looked like Mrs. Fish… In the worst way possible."

But that didn't stop her from munching down on Iceland's "infamous" hotdog today.

It does seem that Bressie is having a spot of bother with food while Roz is away though, posting a picture to Twitter and begging his girlfriend to come home.

We're not even sure what he was supposed to be cooking there.

Model Roz Purcell has made something of a second career for herself with her love of cooking, but her relationship with food wasn't always so straightforward.

Nowadays, the 25-year-old has her own food blog, Natural Born Feeder, where she shares recipes for everything from paleo Ferrero Rocher muffins to dairy-free creamy chicken and broccoli bakes.

However just five short years ago, the model was surviving on a drastic low-calorie diet to stay as thin as possible.

"Five days a week I would just eat veg and at the weekends we would splurge on cupcakes," she said of her stint in the US after winning a contract with Donald Trump's modelling agency.

The former Miss Universe Ireland restricted her diet to drop the pounds, keeping her hunger at bay with copious amounts of coffee.

"I can never drink Starbucks again because I was using it to suppress my appetite,”  she told the Irish Daily Mail’s TV Week magazine.

"It reminds me of being really hungry. I came back and realised I would never go through that again."

As for exercise, these days Roz uses a mix of high-intensity interval training, cycling, swimming and boxing to stay fit – a stark contrast to her former regime which consisted of non-stop running.

"I would run and run and run maybe 14 kilometers every day and downing coffee," she said.

"Models train like athletes now, that’s just the way it’s gone."

Speaking about her love of boxing to SHEmazing! recently, the model said her first attempt floored her – but she adored every bit.

"The first class almost killed me. Afterward I felt like I needed to go lie down for the rest of the day.

"But now I’ve found my stride and I’m loving it."

It was really a breakfast to remember!

This morning the Dublin #fashpack enjoyed an early morning breakfast, all made up by model-turned-chef Roz Purcell.

Roz and Naked were delighted to announce this morning that the glamorous model has taken on the role as Brand Ambassador for the company.

As well as Ms. Purcell's new and exciting role, Naked also introduced us to their all-new Coconut Water.

The new product is the official drink of Dublin Fashion Festival which launched last night and runs until Sunday 13th September.

Speaking of her involvement with Naked Coconut Water and Dublin Fashion Festival, Roz says, "I have long been a fan of the Naked range of drinks."

"Naked Coconut Water is 100 percent coconut water with no added sugar. It's a good source of potassium and comes in a handy carton that makes it a great replenishment for people on the go."

And Roz will be drinking the refreshment all through the week as it will sure be a busy one for her!

"Being involved in Dublin Fashion Festival, as Naked Coconut Water's brand ambassador, is the perfect opportunity for me to be involved in two of my favourite interests at the one time; health and fashion."

Dublin Fashion Festival Marketing Director, Clyde Carroll added, "We are delighted to have Naked Coconut Water and Roz Purcell involved in this year's festival."

"Naked Coconut water is the perfect choice as the official drink of the festival."

Drurys Buildings was filled to the brim with glorious fashion, delicious food and style experts. Sure what better way to spend a Tuesday morning?!

Roz, along with fashion industry experts, Jules Fallon and Irene O'Brien, hosted the morning event as they discussed the world of fashion and growing health trends which are changing the industry for the better!

Now, models all over the world are aware of the consequences of lousy and careless dieting.

They eat healthily, exercise regularly and enjoy an active life, which is what the exclusive morning wanted to promote.

The first ever Ironman race to take place in Dublin is being held today. The 2,500 athletes took off at 7am this morning, putting the rest of us and our much-loved Sunday lie-ins to shame.

The first stage was a 1.9km swim at Scotsman’s Bay in Dun Laoghaire. Then they tackle 90 km cycle through the city centre and looping back to Phoenix Park. The race then concludes with a 21km half marathon.

We bet you thought they might have been stopping for tea with Michael D after that cycle, right? No, these are serious athletes.

Ironman 70.3 is a mid-distance triathlon but Dublin is expected to host a full-distance Ironman in 2016.

That would be a 3.8km swim, a 180km cycle, and a 42.2km run. So there’s plenty of time for us to get our best cycling shorts out for next year’s training then.

Athletes from over 40 countries are expected to take part today alongside some 1,500 Irish athletes that include professionals Robbie Wade and Kevin Thornton. Just one famous face spotted among the crowd was Bressie, looking very, errr, stylish in his wetsuit…

These athletes include some 500 female athletes, in the last number of years that has been a huge increase in the number of female athletes competing in such events.

The spokesman for Triathlon Ireland Scott Graham has said: “In 2005 we had 800 members, this year we are expecting about 10,250 members. So over the last 10 years it’s been double-digit growth in terms of membership year-on-year.”

Included in the field of competitors this morning is German athlete Sonja Tajsich who has been described as the “fastest triathlete on land.”

Phew! We’ll be thinking of them all while we tackle our Sunday brunch favourites his morning. Plenty of locals along the route are making sure to provide some support for competitors along the way. The Irish Mammy type has never been appreciated, we can only imagine:

After just 4 hours on the course the winner was announced earlier today.

Congratulations Denis, we'll be raising a cup of coffee to you as we prepared for our Sunday midday nap.

Just because you're trying to stay in shape doesn't mean you need to say goodbye tasty, filling food… at least that's Irish model's Rozanna Purcell's motto.

S! TV's Lisa Kavanagh headed along to the Clayton Hotel Vitality Breakfast in Ballsbridge recently, to try out some farmer's market style morning eats and to chat to foodie fanatic Roz.

The 24-year-old model, who has her own cooking and lifestyle booking coming out on pre-order later this year, whipped up some vibrant and refreshing Power Smoothies, and let us in on her diet secrets.

What does she eat every day? "Kind of everyday things, the food you would have grown up with," she explains.

"One thing I've learned through years of modelling, especially abroad, is that diets and fads go up and down and you go in and out of them just as quick. If you want to adapt to healthy lifestyle it's all about being sustainable."

Ever since Donald Trump announced his bid for U.S presidency, the internet has been having an absolute field day.

One Irish model has even weighed in on his campaign.

A photo posted by rozannapurcell (@rozannapurcell) on

Roz Purcell, who worked for Trump’s agency in New York once upon a time has said that she is “not surprised” by his bid. She told RTE Ten:

“I don’t know whether he’s going to get it or not, but his campaign has definitely been very interesting to follow.”

In 2010, the Donald himself had picked Roz as the favourite to win the Miss Universe pageant, and he quickly signed her to his agency when she finished in seventh place.

At the time people also couldn’t help but notice her similarity to Donald’s wife Melania. Roz was quick to dismiss those notions, telling Irish Central: “No. C’mon, Melania is absolutely gorgeous. So I take it as a compliment. I think Donald Trump appreciates someone with a bit of character.”

Today the Tipperary native has much more interest in food. Her blog Natural Born Feeder has a huge following and has led her to head back to college to study nutritional therapy. She said it would be nice for her blog “to have a little bit more of a stamp of approval”.

She said that after her years modelling New York, she came to realise that “crash diets” didn’t cut it. She got sick of “trying to fit in a certain shape.”

We agree with Roz on the no crash dieting, we also agree with her about Donald’s “interesting” campaign.

Let’s have a look at some of his most interesting moments so far, shall we.

His comment on the people of Mexico:

They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists.

His astute business observation on the state of American journalism:

When asked by ABC’s This Week  if he had any regrets:

I have said things that I could've held back. But not that often, surprisingly not that often, but certainly there have been occasions.

When he pointed to the racial tension which exists across the United States:

You look at Baltimore, you look at Cleveland. You look at all of those places, just exploding. We have an African-American president [and] we've never had it so bad.

His response to Democratic candidate Hilary Clinton’s disappointment with his immigration comments:

There's never been a Secretary of State so bad as Hillary. The world blew up around us. We lost everything, including all relationships. There wasn't one good thing that came out of that administration or her being Secretary of State.

Basically, any time he mentions Mexico he manages to stir up some controversy:

She wowed fans last week with an Instagram picture of her enviably flat stomach – and now Rozanna Purcell has revealed to SHEmazing! that boxing sessions are her new-found fitness obsession.

Rozanna at Friday's VIP Style Awards

Roz, who finished in the top ten of the Miss Universe 2010 competition held in Las Vegas and runs the immensely popular naturalbornfeeder.com, reckons that maintaining a flat stomach is “90 percent diet, and just 10 percent exercise.” Super-fit Ms Purcell is already well-known for competing in gruelling Ironman competitions, but lately she says that she's trying new workouts. “I’ve started boxing about three or four months ago in Beau Jack’s off Camden Street. I had friends tell me ‘oh you think you’re fit – you need to try these boxing classes.’

“The first class almost killed me. Afterward I felt like I needed to go lie down for the rest of the day. But now I’ve found my stride and I’m loving it. The classes are packed full of guys too so you really have no choice but to push yourself. “I still cycle or swim three or four times a week, and I run when I’m injury-free, but boxing is starting to take over a bit."

She adds: "My boyfriend Bressie keeps telling me I have to make a decision between boxing and triathlons – both for as long as I’m getting away with doing both, I’ll keep both up.”
